  1. Kingdom of Canfor
  2. About:
  3. The Kingdom of Canfor is a coastal kingdom in the western forested plains of Swadia. Once an important region of the Calradian Imperial heartland, Canfor is now a realatively small compact, but defensible kingdom, which has developed its own unique cultural identity in recent centuries.
  4. Economy:
  5. Mostly bordered by the ocean and the Iyvenn river to the south, Canfor is a large producer of fish products. Canfor is also well known for its ale producers.
  6. Military:
  7. From the instant they are old enough to hold a bow, all Canforian serfs are required to practice archery every Sunday. Because of this, they are mostly exceptionally good at using the longbow. Canfor also has light cavalry and infantry divisions, but their archers are the best in all of Calradia.
  8. Towns:
  9. Canfor has three towns. The capital town of Praven is probably the most important port city on Calradia’s coastline. Further down the coastline, the town of Craftsburry is a site to behold, built around the ancient ruins of an old imperial fortress. The town of Graverlot, which is in southeastern canfor, is quite dangerous to get to due to the Merry Men, a group of bandits that like to cause problems in this region.

  11. Merchant Kingdom of New Zendar
  12. About:
  13. A long time ago, near the northern town of Rivacheg, there was a great merchant city-state sized republic known as Zendar. After many years of peaceful existence, this town was wiped out after Nordic raiders burned it to the ground. However, many wealthy merchants who lived in this town gathered money and bought a small plot of land from the Kingdom of Baile to rebuild in a safer location far from the northern raiders and their long ships. After a while, the Kingdom of Canfor defeated the Kingdom of Baile in a war, and soon Zendar found themselves bordering a kingdom that was an even worse threat to their existance. However, after a short but nasty war, using armies of hired mercenaries, The Republic of New Zendar managed to win a conflict, and gain a bit of land, becoming a sizable kingdom.
  14. Economy:
  15. New Zendar, being a merchant hub, is a major center of trade and has caravans that go to cities as far away as Shariz and Rivacheg. Wheat and bread the primary export of this region, as well as a small amount of iron and tools.
  16. Military:
  17. Zendar has a military that is heavily armored, however they are not the best at causing damage. Most Zendarian soldiers wear Plated Armor, which contains many small riveted plates for protection. Zendar also has decent crossbowmen, who, when wearing plated armor, are a very fearsome foe both at range and up close.
  18. Towns:
  19. New Zendar contains the town of New Zendar(duh), and also the towns of Iyevannder and Colton, which are both along the Iyevnn River, and are both claimed by the kingdom of Canfor.
  20. Kingdom of Baile
  21. About:
  22. Deep within the Rhodock highlands, exists a kingdom of peoples with a rich tribal history of rebelling against the Calradian Empire. The Kingdom of Baile is mostly known for their “dresslike” garments that even men wear called kilts, and for their powerful claymores. There are many locals in this region who still have a rebellious spirit, but instead of fighting the caldaria empire, they attack innocent travelers.
  23. Economy:
  24. Baile is a mountainous kingdom, rich in natural resources like iron. Being Rhodock, grapes and wine is an important industry, though it isn’t as large as it is in Veluca.
  25. Military:
  26. Bailish Tribesmen are very adept fighters. A whole branch of the Bailish military is devoted to claymore-using infantry. The most powerful unit Baile has, the Mountain Knight, is heavily armored and armed. Ranged units include average skilled bowmen.
  27. Towns:
  28. The capital town of Baile is Yalen, a coastal town on top of a high cliff. Baile also contains the towns of Osterclift deep within the forests on the slopes of the mountains in western Baile. In eastern Baile, the border is guarded by the town of Pineswatch.
  29. The Imperial Remnant
  30. About:
  31. When the Calradian empire was in its death throws, there were those who didn’t want to give up their old imperial ways. A group of remaining Imperial generals went southward with their armies, and established a small settlement where they could live out their lives, following Imperial traditions in peace. Eventually, this settlement grew, and the entire coastline was recaptured for the Calradian Empire, the oldest political entity in Calradia.
  32. Economy:
  33. The Imperial Remnant is a center of wine and grapes, but is also a major exporter of iron due to the rich deposits found throughout the rhodock highlands. There are also many silk farms throughout the Remnant, and much fine cloth like velvet is made to be sold to nobles around Calradia.
  34. Towns:
  35. The capital town of the Remnant, Calceria, is hard to get to by land due to it being surrounded by cliffs, but is very much accessible by sea. In the east, the town of Respecta borders the Sarradack Desert, and stands as a test to time. In western regions of the Remnant on the coastline, lies the small town of Bravail.
