  1. In 2013 I graduated from the University of Minnesota. During the latter years of my time in college, I worked two part time jobs. For one, I led a leadership development program for first year college students. I went through this program as a first year student, which helped me to grow as a person and help me to realize my potential as a leader. I wanted to give these same opportunities to other first year students; I learned from this job that I am good at learning about others and figuring out what excites and motivates them to improve. My other part time job was serving at a local restaurant, and after graduation I ended up taking a job management a sister bar/restaurant. I enjoyed the people management in this role, but quickly realized I did not want to work in the service industry forever. I wanted to do something that utilized my degree and was more mentally stimulating.

  3. Following this job, I moved to Virginia where I started my career in digital marketing. At a digitial marketing agency, I held roles in paid search engine marketing and search engine optimization. From these roles, I developed client management and communication skills, big data analysis, and my realization that I love working with websites and want to do more than just market them, I want to develop them. I wrote SQL on the job and dabbled with HTML/CSS/JS in my own time, but desired a structured, full-time environment to devote all my attention to this goal of being a web developer. This is exactly why I joined Turing for and is what my time at Turing have provided me.

  5. After turing I am interested in utilizing my past experience in how to make a website marketable and my newly gained skills in how to make a website, to benefit a small to mid-sized start-up company in the Denver area.
