  1. With Haru returning to the keep and Hayes dismissing her, the young Ryozo made her way towards the woods, partly annoyed at the old ookamis ignorance and also partly angered by Haru abandoning her in the idea to train together. With Liluna's dissaperance she was becoming more restless and distant towards the others, including Rorik who she originally respected.
  2.
  3. Though same as the others they served the "Golden" without second though or doubt, sickening Sophia and leaving her to seek out ways to silence her mind, which was constantly haunted by the thoughts of her never being capable of getting anywhere near as good as the Goddess herself. She wanted to get to Asena's Bloom and seek out the opportuntiy to rest there in silence, at least for a moment.
  4.
  5. To silence the thoughts and temptation which Shinra left within her after telling her of envy and after the incident during one of her training sessions. She marched through the woods with clinged fists, growling quietly and soon narrowing her eyes as she spotted her designation in the distance.
  6. (Sophia Ryozo)
  7.
  8. It had been some time, although Shinra seemed to be hanging out around the same area as before. She had, admittedly, been expecting Sophia's return, whether it be to yell at Shinra or to just talk, or perhaps even fight. Although, she doubted Sophia envied her in any sense. Shinra was an outcast and not exactly super powerful even though she acted like she was.
  9.
  10. Her eyes turned and head swivelled to stare at the approaching Sophia, eyeing her over. The girl was.... tense. It seemed she was upset, although whether it was at Shinra or at the Dawn she did not know. So she turned and sat, facing the oncoming bloodmage, and reached out telepathically.
  11.
  12. "So you have returned, Sophia. Good. I had some questions to ask you... but it appears you have a purpose here. How may I help you?"
  13.
  14. (Shinra)
  15. Sophia sought silence and calamity for her mind, yet instead found someone she tried to avoid, Shinra. The very same reason why she was in her current state, restless and angered, constantly trying to deny the tempting thoughts of relaying on envy. Her eyes narrowed themselves as she glared at Shinra, with her blood starting to bubble and hiss loudly.
  16.
  17. Her teeth grinded against one another as she listened to the yokai jsut before responding. "You are the last person I wanted to see Shinra...I came looking for silence and way to calm my mind, you corrupted it with tempting thoughts, something I will not accept...I tried envy and it didn't feel right, it didn't feel as if it was me using it." she exclaimed with anger
  18.
  19. Aloud denying the sin, though within her one would feel a faint note of depravity, a slowly growing seed of envy.
  20. (Sophia Ryozo)
  21. Shinra's smile was soft, but it was one that hid much more malice and depravity than that of the worst murderer. Shinra wasn't a warrior... she was a puppeteer. And Sophia was being put on strings.
  22.
  23. Her tails swayed slowly, her body already enshrouded in occultic power. Her voice rang out, loud and clear. "Why are you so aggressive, Sophia? You deny yourself the power to succeed. You must not allow the emotion to control you, but instead reign it in, control it. Show not those around you the drive you harbor until it is too late for them to stop you. Why fool yourself into believing they deserve such things instead of you?" she asks, watching the girl carefully. She had already prepared a spell to defend herself from attacks, in case the girl lashed out.
  24.
  25. That small, small touch of depravity in her voice was like music to Shinra. It created an opening... a weakness. A handhold for the Yokai to grab onto and deepen, like water weathering away at stone. Even being in the presence of the occultic beast would encourage these sinful thoughts and emotions, as Shinra allowed the negative influence to flow more freely.
  26. (Shinra)
  27.
  28. Her eyes remained narrowed as she listened to Shinra before deciding to snort, her scowl lessening and her expression calming a little as she sighed. She sat down and slowly rose her eyebrow before speaking once more. "Right...HOW do I control them then? I so far been overwhelmed by the thoughts and feelings, IF you still see me as your all then go on, tell me more...not just basics..." she said with nearly demanding tone, her left eye flashing from annoyence.
  29. (Sophia Ryozo)
  30.
  31. The fox stared and watched as she calmed herself, and inside her mind it was perfect to her. She was being reigned in slowly, although with lots of resistance along the line. Shinra nodded some, eyeing the girl over once more before closing her eyes. "Of course. But in return I will need your aid as well... we can get to that afterwards though. For now, let me teach you about your own mind. About your envy..." she purred out. What she didn't say was that she was to learn how to be like a Yokai.
  32.
  33. Shinra opened her eyes once more, which now had a reddish orange hue glowing in them both. Her telepathy continued to grow stronger, and Shinra didn't only begin to speak, but instead began to flash images and emotions through the connection alongside her words.
  34.
  35. "The first of many steps is to accept the emotion. You can not banish the thoughts from your head, but instead must accept it. It is a part of you, and in the end, you are its master. Allow yourself to accept the thoughts, and the emotion will begin to sit with you better... but then the difficult part begins." she instructed, watching and waiting. The connection went further than just the mind, but Shinra was not using what she was preparing just yet.
  36. (Shinra)
  37.
  38.
  39.
  40. The female Yokai nodded slowly, watching Sophia closely. She wished to hear more? Alright then. "You must have willpower. You must allow the emotion to flow, then you must conceal it. You have to contain it beneath your skin, control the emotion while letting it flourish. You must use it, harbor it, but never reveal it. That, is what makes it difficult. she explains, showing images of herself speaking to other Yokai. She craved power, she desired to be stronger than all others, but she never let it show. If she did, other Yokai would kill her much sooner.
  41.
  42. As she spoke her occultic aura grew a bit stronger, accompanied with her excitement, her tails wagging rapidly, and with the connection between the two, as well as Sophia's occultic eye, the corruption would only be fueled by the sensations.
  43. (Shinra)
  44.
  45. Her eyebrow rose, confused and disorientated by what Shinra meant by willpower, did she try to tell her that young Ryozo was supposed to learn how to conceal it her envy? She didn't know and decided to ask to make things clearer for herself.
  46.
  47. "Okey...so I am supposed to try and concel the envy thing...or what because I don't understand it? I am to mask my feelings, pretend that I am okey and that I am all loyal and everything? Is that what you mean Shinra?" she asked with confused tone. wanting to know, while groaning quietly as her eye began to pulsate once more, with black veins appearing around it as it activated itself, forcing Sophia to notice what Shinra was doing.
  48.
  49. She rose to her feet and boomed out loudly with angry "What do you think yu are doing!? I asked you to help me and not dare to try and use your powers on me! Shinra I trusted you!" she yelled out.
  50. (Sophia Ryozo)
  51. staaaares silently at the two in front of her. She just hid behind a tree for now, watching the duo of Yokai, and...human? What exactly was she? She didn't seem very human with that eye of hers. That eye looked pretty disgusting...
  52. (Accalia)
  53.
  54. Shinra noticed the eye flare to life, and she heard the scream of annoyance and anger. Shinra however, never faltered, never panicked, never shifted. She was far more skilled at this than many gave her credit for. "The magic is to aid you. My power is innately corrupt yes, but your brother Samuel told me your clan is capable of resisting corruption with your abilities. I didn't think twice of using them to aid you." she stated calmly.
  55.
  56. Her telepathy indeed played an image of sorts, her conversation with Samuel Ryozo, after she was beaten senseless, and the conversation that ensued. Talking about the eye, as well as asking about their abilities.
  57.
  58. "If you simply relax, you will see as such. The emotion of Envy is intrinsically linked to Occult Magic, but in the end, occult magic poses no threat to those strong of mind." she continued to say, assuming she hadn't been stopped.
  59. (Shinra)
  60. Her teeth grinded against one another upon hearing of her twin Samuel speaking so casually of their family's strengths. She sighed loudly and sat down once more before closing her eyes and trying to put into slumber to avoid overusing it as she still was far away from mastering its abilities. She waited for the black veins to retract before deciding to open her eyes once more and respond.
  61.
  62. "Promise me for your own life that you aren't lying about your own words...I want to be sure...and you said that I have to strong mind to control both...envy and the corruption yes? Howw am I to dwell it within myself witohut making it visible? Like...will it begin to become noticable or something?" she asked with her eyebrow rising, curious of the idea, clearly wanting more as usually.
  63. (Sophia Ryozo)
  64. continues to watch. Though she slightly gets bored. She had absolutely no clue what they were both talking about. Occult magic, envy, emotions, dark shit and corruption. She was completely clueless. She wasn't a stupid dog, but...she was hellishly clueless. She takes a leg of meat out of her bag and slowly munches on it while she watched the exchange.
  65. (Accalia)
  66. Shinra tsk'd some. She supposed she shouldnt expect much of a child. They were always rather curious, and they didnt usually get everything on the first try. Actually, they rarely ever did, if she noticed anything about them. Luckily, they tended to be very trusting. Twice as lucky, Shinra wasn't lying either. She spoke the truth, even if it was only half of it.
  67.
  68. "I promise I am not lying. Now, I will further explain then... It will not change your appearance. It will not affect your appearance. Envy is a powerful drive, and a powerful way to influence change over yourself. But, if you allow it to grow too much, you will begin to scorn those you envy. They will notice your emotions, and they will react. From what I know of this 'Golden Goddess', she would not accept it as such. They do not want you to gain the power they possess. They do not want anyone reaching their peaks, so they can control and manipulate. So they can keep it for themselves."
  69. (Shinra)
  70.
  71. Sophia sighed quietly as she began to ponder on what Shinra told her, slowly rubbing her chin while thinking on the entire idea before finally looking at her own hands and sighing quietly, clearly not liking the idea but with no other way to handle things she decided to give it a try.
  72.
  73. She rolled her eyes and soon responded towards Shinra. "What do you mean scorn? Is it really this hard to control some damned emotion? I don't think its that can be this hard...at least I hope so...though in the end well if things will go nuts I will just go into hiding and disguise myself..." she said with doubt in her voice, slowly moving to bite her lower lip as if from nerves before looking back at Shinra.
  74.
  75. "What exactly you mean by envy being powerful way to influence change over myself? In terms of behaviour, motivation or personality? Elaborate for me..please..." she asked curious of te answer.
  76. (Sophia Ryozo)
  77. watches and wonders what exactly they were talking about. She stepped forwards a bit more...she couldn't see much around the gigantic Yokai in front of her...unfortunately, she stepped on a branch.
  78.
  79. CRACK
  80.
  81. That probably alerted the two of them to her presence, in which she suddenly froze up, leg of meat hanging from her mouth. Oh shit.
  82. (Accalia).)
  83. Shinra twitched as the branch snapped behind her, and her tail flicked haphazardly, firing a bolt of dark energy in that general direction. She continued talking although she was more aware now. She turned, glaring off at the Ookami who was interrupting with their conversation.
  84.
  85. "I mean, envy is a good way to motivate yourself to change into what you believe you should be. Forcing yourself to work harder, or looking for better ways to fix your appearance." she says with a nod. "Now hush... we have a visitor." she nods before turning to look at Accalia who was creeping around.
  86.
  87. Her glowing eyes stared deeply at the Ookami, watching her closely. Her telepathy opened up to everyone in the area. "Now. May I help you, young Ookami?"
  88. (Shinra)
  89.
  90. Shinra: Mhm. Farewell then Sophia, and I must ask a request. If you hear news of two Yokai, Shoro and Raiju, please inform me. I need to capture them.
  91. was on high alert when she snapped the twig. So when the dark-bolt from that tail shot towards her, she shifts to the side quickly, the meat leg hanging between her teeth though, it dropped mid-shift and got shot. It turned into molten nothingness in the blink of an eye and splattered to the floor. Her ears pin down. H-Her food...
  92.
  93. "Errr....I just...kinda...saw you two here and decided to eavesdrop. The little girl was talking to herself for a while, didn't think Yokai had telepathy."
  94. (Accalia)
  95. Sophia Ryozo: Mhm...
  96. Wasn't going to stop Sophia from leaving, as she was now focused on the Ookami who had been listening in. And she... blatently admitted to it. And she had clearly never read or learned about Yokai in her life. Goodie! These were the thoughts and then some Shinra was thinking of, although she wasn't going to say much else regarding that yet.
  97.
  98. "So readily admitting to eavesdropping on strangers? You are either very naive, or very confident in your abilities... or you want to die. I'm going to assume it is the first option."
  99. (Shinra)
