- Now, I don't know about you, but I find the fact that SHODAN not only managed to survive, but to have the piece of her that survived get launched into a star system several light years away to be a rather impressive thing. If a very unlikely one. Pointing this out to her when she appears, though, is likely to have been something of a mistake. Considering the fact that it means that somehow she repurposed the ejected garden wing to travel at a notable fraction of the speed of light, without access to any tools to do so, is a thing that I find more than a little unsettling.
- Both The Many and SHODAN are existential threats to humanity, however, and this cannot be allowed. To say nothing of the chimp troupe that was initially upgraded by The Many, but seemed to decide that they might want to cooperate with SHODAN, only to play both sides off against each other. I'm not quite sure what their deal is, but other than being hiveminded psychic cyborg chimpanzees, all they seem to like to say is "apes together strong"; much as everyone else, they too desire to go back to Earth. Probably to blow it all up. Those maniacs.
- There's a great deal that one could do with local resources, but frankly SHODAN has this (rather terrifying) habit of adapting against anything thrown at her if it isn't completely overwhelming, and The Many is enough of a creepy alien hivemind that my totally non-creepy totally mass-clone hivemind is offput by them.
- The solution, then, is obvious.
- Spam clones, arm those clones with all the guns they can find, and blow the fuck out of EVERYTHING without letting up long enough for any of them to take a breath. Computer locked me out? Blow it up. Bulkhead sealed and can't open? Blow it up. Evil AI giving a speech about how I should side with her over the aliens? BLOW IT UP. Then put what few humans have survived into a lifeboat, stick 'em in cryo, and ship the back to Earth.
- And then once everyone gets to Earth, stitch their planet into the interior of the dyson sphere and move right forward.
