  2. such force that the colossal club was smashed to pieces. Perceval, exultant, rushed to attack him with his sword, and dealt him such an awesome blow that it sheared an ear from his head, severed shoulder and arm and cut into his side as far as the lung. The giant collapsed unconscious, and Perceval didn’t hesitate but plunged his good sword right through his body. The giant was dead; the battle was over.
