Background:
     She auditioned for SM at age ten, and didn't get in. Her parents never really wanted her to be an idol because if she quit she wouldn't have the educational backup she needed to function. They tried several times to discourage her after she failed, but at age thirteen she ran to an audition without her parents' knowledge and was the only girl to pass. She's been training for four years and was supposed to train longer, but at the last moment she was added because apparently she impressed somebody. She was nervous about joining the group and being the maknae because  she wasn't supposed to be there and didn't want it to seem like she was stealing lines or screentime. However, the group welcomed her with open arms and they've been very cheerful about her presence.
