Episode 12

Hoenn Episode 12
Morning

The next morning...Jalen wakes up in his bed after a night of rest. he gets up and wash up before heading downstairs to get some breakfast. A plate of Bacon, eggs, hash browns and a cup of Orange Juice for him as he eat his food while looking over his PokeNAV, checking his Map system for the next destination. His mom told him that the next town is Fortree City, which is east of the Mauville River AKA Route 118. He finished his plate and place it on the dirty dish rack and get ready to go. He leave out of Mauville and travel up to Route 118. He reach the river after a good 15 mins of walking and overlook the river before him.


There's quite a distance for his Crawdaunt to Surf over until he reach land, so he put his backpack on the sand and rummages through it for his swimming clothing. A Green /Black swimming trunk on later, he call out his Crawdaunt to use Surf. Crawdaunt dives into the water and create a sitable raft made of water for Jalen to hop on as he pull on it. It's a easy process for Crawdaunt to do as within 5 mins, They arrive at the other side of the river, Seems Jalen underestimated his Pokemon's skill in surfing as he thanks him and return it. Changing back to his regular clothing(White/Green shirt with White Shorts) he walk along the coast and head up the hill where someone call out to him from above....he looks up and see a face he haven't seen since the start of his journey.

^Hey!^
"Huh?"
The woman jumps down from the hill and approach him. Jalen, thinking this is gonna be a battle, place his hand on a Pokeball, but the lady stop him as she hold her hands up.

^Easy there, Raikou! I'm not looking for a battle. You remember me?^
"Uhhhhh...."

The lady smile and shake her head

^Of course, we haven't spoke much. I'm Corrin. The lady from the Granite Cave.^
"Oh! The champion of Hoenn!"

Corrin nods as Jalen remembers her now. He take his hand off of his balls as he relax himself.

"Yeah, I remember you now, been a while...Where have you been?"
^I've been here and there while traveling Hoenn and seeing other trainers...How have you been?^

Jalen tell her about the many things he have done in his travels, from gym battles to rival battles to dealing with the 2 teams. Both of them unaware that they are being watched by a invisible figure floating far above them. It use it's psychic abilities to hear them closely. Upon hearing 'Team Aqua' It sighs in relief, happy that it finally found people can could aid it.. Floating down closer and staying invisible...It waits for it's chance to ask the 2 humans before it.

^Team Magma and Team Aqua huh.....^

Corrin rubs her forehead as she feels an headache coming on as Jalen finishes his story.

^(Those 2 woman actually began to make their moves after 5 months of them both leaving Brando Corp huh......)^
"Yeah, They are annoying at best and are dangerous at worst...."

Jalen still remembers his lost against Caeldori a couple of days ago....clenching his fists

^Well, You haven't seen them around, have you?^

Jalen shakes his head as Corrin nods

^Good...You shouldn't need to worry about them then.^
"I wish...But seems like no one else will do anything about them...."

^Well, If I come across them..I'll put an end to them. Now then, what say you and me.....??^
Corrin pause in her sentence as she sense something nearby.....She walk to the shore and look up...

"Wha-"
^SHHH!^
She shush him as she look up...something in the sky is clashing against the scenery with shimmers. the shape soon float down closer to her as Jalen approach her from behind.

"What the hell is this?" He whispers
A light covers the shape to reveal itself to the 2 humans.

"!!!"
^Lat...Latias...One of the Eon Twins.^
Indeed, a Pokemon that can only be described as a unholy combination of a bird, a jet, and a dragon with a red/white color scheme floats before them with a pleading look

"Is...Is it trying to ask us something?"
Latias gives Jalen a glare that makes him confused, Corrin sighs and explains the issue

^She....Latias is a female and her brother, Latios, is a male.^
"Oh...Sorry, Latias."
Latias nods and then make sounds like it's requesting something from the 2...

"What's she saying?"
^I don't know...but I do know that the Eon Twins travel together....which means....Latios must be in trouble, right?^
Latias nods and turn around, her back facing the 2 humans.

^I think she wants us to come with her, Let's go Jalen.^
Corrin grabs his hand and the 2 jump on Latias's back...

"Wait, don't I get a say in thi-AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
And Latias takes off in a burst of speed Jalen wasn't ready for. She zips and zooms in the air as she take the 2 humans to her home, The Southern Island. Corrin doesn't seem to bothered by the speed unlike Jalen who's hanging on to the older woman's waist for dear life.

"CAN SHE SLOW DOWN!?!?"
^SEEMS THIS IS AN EMERGENCY! RELAX, WE SEEM TO BE COMING NEAR THE ISLAND!!!^

True to Corrin's word, an island with a jungle on it is quickly coming up in their sight. Latias slows down considerably as she floats near the ground until finally she stops. Corrin step off of her and look around as Jalen slinks off of Latias and fall on the ground. He takes his time getting off of the ground and gather his bearings.

"Jesus fuck....That...was...fucking crazy."
^.....^

Corrin pays him no mind, for she see a boat with the "Aqua" symbol painted on the side off to the distance.
^Seems we have company...^

Jalen sees it now...
"Damn....You think they here for Latios?"
^Most likely...^
^(I hope that's all they are after for...)^

Corrin, being a Stone expert, knows that the Eon Twins have their own Mega Stones for themselves along with the Soul Dew. If Team Aqua gets both....Then that will be a terrible time for everyone in Hoenn
^C'mon, Jalen. We have no time to waste..^
"Right."

Corrin turns to Latias
^We'll be back, Latias. Stay here pls.^
Latias nods as the 2 humans walk on to the jungle...There's no life here with the trees or the grass, there's a bunch of berries here and there on the path growing out of the soil.

"Man, you think they get lonely here?"
^Not really.^ Corrin pushes grass out of her way as they travel through the jungle. ^If they ever do, they can fly out and turn themselves invisible to hide in the public and spy on us.^
"...Isn't tha-"
^Creepy? Yes, but what can we do about it?^
She shrugs as they soon see a open field before them before another smaller jungle. There's 3 people there. Jalen remembers one of them as Leo from Mt. Chimmey. There's 2 more with him as he speaks to them.

|Allright, We have cornered the target into this jungle. I will go in alone while you 2 stay out here and watch out for anything suspicious.|
[...As you wish.]
{So it shall be done.}

The 2 teens are Beruka and Gerome. The more quieter members of Team Aqua and often the ones who use brute force to get stuff done. Why they are with Leo is to be body guards. Leo nods and venture deep into the jungle. Corrin and Jalen are hiding behind the bushes and discuss the plan.
"So what do we do?"
^...You go after the blonde guy, while I go and fight these 2 teens off.^

Corrin grabs 2 Pokeballs off of her waist and hold them. Jalen grab her wrist.
"Wait, you sure you got this? We don't know how those 2 out there fight."
^Heh.^

Corrin smirks at the teen
^You underestimate my skills....I'm the champion for the reason.^
^Now, while I fight them, you go and chase after the leader...ready?^

Jalen get low to the ground and is ready to crawl under the bushes.
"Ready."

Corrin nods and rise up as she approaches the 2 teens, while Jalen crawl to the right and out of the field, being as quiet as he can be.
^Hey, Aqua!^
[!]
{Intruder....}

Beruka and Gerome grab their Pokeballs as they get ready for combat
[Turn back now...lest we crush you...]
^Oh my, such harsh threats.....^

To prove their point, Gerome release a long- blue sea serpent known for their anger issues and tendency to kill. A Gyarados. Gyarados roars at Corrin who don't flinch at all while Beruka release her Kingdra. a regal seahorse as it sits near Gyarados
^Mighty strong Pokemon you 2 got there...^

Corrin release her 2 Pokemon. One's a Sword using a Shield as a cover while hiding it's tassel-arms behind itself. The other is a orange dragon with tiny wings that can still carry it with a fierce gaze. Dragonite and Aegislash stands before their master, ready for combat with plenty of experience and power within themselves. Gerome and Beruka grimaces to themselves. Unaware that they are picking a fight with the Hoenn Champion...Nevertheless, Beruka starts things off with a Rain Dance to boost her Kingdra's speed and power the Water moves while Gyarados use Aqua Tail, using the rain from the cloud above them due to Rain Dance to coat his tail and aim it at Aegislash.

However, Aegislash use it's signature move, King's Shield to not only block the attack, but lowers Gyarados's ATK by a considerable amount. Dragonite meanwhile is avoiding the Rain boosted Hydro Pumps from Kingdra with great speed. The power levels between Dragonite and Aegislash and their foes is quite simply, astounding. These 2 are just toying with them as per Corrin's orders while Jalen is making his way to find Leo before he gets to Latios. Jalen wish he could watch the match, but he got to stop Leo. Crawling his way under the bushes like a Greninja...he couldn't help but hum the theme song to MGS 3 while doing so, thankful that the loud sounds of battle near him drown him out. Eventually, he's far enough to get up and run after Leo.

Jalen finally catches up to where Leo is...In front of him is essentially a blue clone of Latias, Latios. Behind it is a podium containing a shining rock with a purplish hue to it....Leo have his Sealeo out trying to threaten it. Jalen rise up from the bushes and walk towards him with his Lileep coming out.
"Leo!"

Leo turns around with a shocked look before frowning.

|You! From Mt. Chimmey?? How did you get here!?!...Doesn't matter, I can avenge myself for my earlier failure!|

The 2nd round between these 2 begins with Sealeo unleashing an Aurora Beam towards Lileep, who use Amnesia to improve his SPD. The beam strikes Lileep as it doesn't do as much damage as it could had before.

|Damnit!|
"Giga Drain!"

Lileep extends his tendrils and wrap them around Sealeo and suck his energy as he healed off the damage from Aurora beam. However Sealeo escapes using Ice Fang and stab a tendril to end the attack.

|Gonna need to do more than that to defeat me, bastard! Sealeo, Aurora Beam again!|

As Sealeo breath in to charge another Aurora Beam, Lileep begin to make rocks around it float with Ancientpower....Sealeo shoots it's attack just as Lileep launches his own. The beam struck Lileep on the face, but he tanks it thanks to Amnesia, while Sealeo get barraged by the 5 rocks. Lileep seems much more healthier than Sealeo does who is panting hard...bruises on his face from the earlier attacks.

To add insult to injury...
"Brine!"

Jalen orders a Brine from Lileep who spews up a watery sphere containing salt in it and shoot it at Sealeo, KOing it.
Leo send out his Haunter, and order a Shadow Ball towards Lileep who tanks it and counters back with Ancientpower. Landing decent dmg on it. Leo however, switch things up and  make his Haunter use Hypnosis on Lileep to make it fall asleep and then try to use Dream Eater...Until.

"Fuck that, Return!"

Jalen returns his Lileep, wanting to save that for later...He send out his next Pokemon, Crawdaunt. Leo scowls.

|Again with the switching like before...I'm not shocked, you seem to like doing that.|

|Never the less....I too have my own tricks up my sleeves...|

Leo smirks and wave his arm  out

|Thunderbolt!|
"!!!"

Much to Jalen's shock, Haunter unleash a dark purple bolt towards Crawdaunt and hit him. Crawdaunt screamsin pain as the attack end...steam rising off of his body.
|Heh, last time I was holding back..This time you shall face my true power! Haunter, use it again!|

Gathered his thoughts, Jalen strikes back.
"Crawdaunt, use Night Slash after you dodge the attack!"

Crawdaunt jumps out of the way of the Thunderbolt and run towards Haunter and slash on it with a claw shooting a axe of darkness out of it akin to a viking. Despite the 1st strike, Haunter falls to the powerful attack boosted by Adaptability AND landing a critical hit on it.....Despite this, instead of getting angry like Jalen expected him to, Leo merely chuckles.

|Hehehe....You're much better than I expected...|

Leo grabs his final ball and  throw it out to reveal his trusty Slowbro once more...However, he roll his sleeve up to reveal a particular bracelet on it...

"What the hell is that?"
|This...This is your defeat at my hands! SLOWBRO! I COMMAND YOU TO MEGA EVOLVE!!!|

"Mega-what?"

Through a series of poses that Jalen have to admit is cool, Leo press the button on his bracelet and make it glow brightly as Slowbro does the same and is wrapped in a pink sphere...Soon, the sphere crack opens and burst open to reveal Slowbro...only looking much more different than a normal one..

|Behold the power of Mega Evolution...Mega Slowbro!|

M-Slowbro is wrapped by his shell now and seems to be balancing on it's tail.....Jalen blinks and shakes his head
"I don't care what you do to your Pokemon, It's still a Pokemon! Crawdaunt, Night Slash!!"

Crawdaunt make his black axe again and rush towards M-Slowbro and connect!!!....But it doesn't seem to do anything at all. Hell, M-Slowbro just budged a lil bit with a confused look.
"Wh-what??"
|Ha! Mega Slowbro's DEF is simply among the highest of all Pokemon! No physical attack can ever hurt it! And to add salt to your wounds like you did to my Sealeo....M-Slowbro, Slack Off!|

M-Slowbro breath in and envelop itself in a light energy, healing off whatever DMG Crawdaunt did to it.
|M-Slowbro cannot be beaten, You should give up now and maybe I'll show you mercy....|
"Hmmmm....No."
|Arrogant fool, prepare to lose!|

Jalen returns his Crawdaunt and re-send his Lileep...already having a nasty plan in his mind...

|Ha, sending out that mon that's clearly tired?...Losing your mind, Jalen?|
"Question, does Slowbro knows Rest?"

Leo blinks
|No, why would he need that when he have Slack off?|
"Good, Lileep!....Toxic!"

Leo gasp as Lileep shoot purple liquid at M-Slowbro, it lands on it and as soon as it does, M-Slowbro begins to feel the effects....
|Wh-What the!?! No matter....M-Slowbro! Psychic!|
"Protect."

Lileep cover itself in a white barrier to guard against the Psychic blast from M-Slowbro, after that happened, M-Slowbro breathing become a bit more ragged due to the Toxic taking affect.
|Da-Damn you...|
"This is gonna be a long one, so If you wanna give up...."
|NEVER! SLOWBRO, USE SLACK OFF!|

M-Slowbro heals up again, appearing to be much better, but still looks like shit thanks to PSN....Meanwhile, Lileep wraps it's tendrils around it for Giga Drain and take HP from it to heal itself up

Soon, thanks to the PSN and the Giga Drains....Slowbro faints and revert back to it's normal self...Just in time for Lileep to glow himself and begin to evolve...after some time, his body gets longer, turn green, he gains a more helmet-like head with his tendrils on his neck instead of his head, and markings on his head. Jalen return him as Leo runs off, leaving Latios by himself just as Corrin comes in and tell him that Team Aqua is gone. To thank him, she hand over a Mega Bracelet and explain what Mega Evolution is to him. After that, she give him a Blazikenite for his Blaziken to use. He thanks her and they leave off on Latias back to the route. As Latias leave them, Corrin tells Jalen that she too much leave out. They split up with Jalen heading north to Fortree City.....

Meanwhile, Leo call up Soleil on the helicopter enroute to the hideout in Lilycove City. He reaches Soleil and tell her that the mission is a bust...

~HA! What happened?? Got that ass whooped by Latios?~
|Silence! I had to deal with your boyfriend....|

Soleil, Who's stationed in the woods a couple of distance away from the Weather Institute which she and her team will attack., Frowns.
~Jalen's not my boyfriend....~
|Could had fooled me..Anyway, he may be stopping by your destination, if you see hi|
~Yeah, I know...eliminate him....Sheesh...~

Soleil hangs up on him and get ready to move on out...Really hoping that Jalen don't show up. As she does this, she sees a blonde teen with a look of smugness on his face with a blonde girl wearing the same look...Knowing the blonde teen as Siegbert, Soleil scowls..more than ready to defeat the Brando brat if he wish to stop her from her mission.(edited)
