1. [14:07] *Mirai Pan felt sweat drop down her brow and the slope of her nose by the rivulets as she maintained all the immense tension throughout her body. One muscle out of place, one joint out of alignment, and it would surely be able to spell problems. Droplets hit the solid and reinforced floor of the gravity chamber with the sound of a sledgehammer striking an anvil, the sheer force of over a thousand Gs making even little droplets of water deadly. A true test of her internal strength and waigong, the quarter-Saiyan was forced to use the strength of her body and the energy brought about by her breathing techniques to maintain natural equilibrium from within, even as her ki was lowered to the minimum save amount. Any less, and she would surely crumble inside and out. At this point, shielding the vulnerable parts of her body, such as her joints, took every bit of focus she possessed. However, it was on the precipice of ruin that the greatest breakthroughs could be had!
2.
3. Every move was concise and full of strength, the rotation of the hips and shoulders bringing forth a right straight that sent a hail of sweatdrops dislodging from her limb, arching heavily through the air only to plummet to the ground with the clangour of bowlingballs being thrown across the aisle. This place, which tested the limits of her physicality in ways that no other place in the Nexus reliably could, would allow her to further crystallize the 'flow' of the technique she was developing. The technique she envisioned was one of a pair, but in lieu of progress with the other one, she could only shift her attentions elsewhere. Only when her body had finally reached its absolute limit did her foot land firmly onto the ground with enough force to shake the entire chamber, teeth gritting as she was forced to avoid her bare feet from slipping.
4.
5. The ground had become slippery with her own sweat, and at this intense gravity it behaved more like sleet than water... Deliberately breathing through her diaphragm in the way of qigong with every step she took, the quarter-Saiyan made her way towards the gravity controls in the centre, and pushed the big emergency stop button. Within an instant, the fully red-shifted lighting within the chamber returned to its normal colorless brightness, and the sensation of her body lightening and unburdening itself overtook her. Finally, her eyes could close, and the tension her muscles and tendons had maintaind could be safely released. Her bodyhardening techniques were disengaged, and she took a deep sigh, leaning against the pillar with a puff of breath.
6.
7. Eyes opened, staring at the display, which had returned from quadruple figures all the way to 1G. Her own reflection in the dark screen looked haggard and heavily put through the wringer. Either way, she was getting a lot of mileage out of the backup access pass to the facilities her great gramps had given her. Well, to be fair, she simply never returned it!
8.
9. When she stepped out, the cool atmosphere hit her like an iceberg. She immediately stepped into the shower, feeling her pores breathe and the soreness of her muscles drain away along with the water. Emerging from the showers fully refreshed, she stepped outside in a tracksuit straight from the washer, then took a moment to run some laps around the Watch training grounds to loosen back up. Clearly, she had taken some time to put aside her rage!
10. [14:32] *Pikan "Heeeeeey. A familiar face." Came an only vaguely familiar voice, from behind and above. Levitating roughly a meter overhead, the earthling boy finished his descent to come down and stand behind Pan, hands in his pockets and waiting for her to catch up to current events. A sly smile on his face, blonde hair as messy and wind-parted as always, though at least his clothes seemed cleaner than usual. She seemed exhausted, or at the very least, exercised.
11.
12. "I've got some stuff you might be interested in hearing!"
13. [14:40] *Mirai Pan felt quite refreshed actually, now she was wearing clean clothes and taking a moment to relax her muscles - nothing like a jog to mark the end of a truly grueling session, that's for sure. Coming to a gradual halt, Pan turned her head to look in the direction of the voice, her onyx hair propped up in ponytail flopping about some as she blinked a few times. Such a young voice could only belong to... "Oh hello. Your name was... Pikan, right?" She had only heard it once because she happened to be nearby, but it seemed to have stuck. He was quite a cute lad, after all, and very few prospective time patrollers of Watch-frequenters were as young as him and Kayel. Hunching over some, she looked at him with a cheerful expression, though perhaps the highlights of her smile were somewhat muted by what happened recently. "Sure! What do you wanna tell me?"
14. [14:41] Mirai Pan: or Watch-frequenters*
15. [14:43] *Pikan brought his arms up, folding them beneath his chest as he took a step closer. Leaning close, he cleared his throat quietly. "It's possible the walls and air have eyes and ears. But, it involves a certain purple punk in yellow glasses. KnowwhatImean?" Testing the waters. For all he knew, she was unfamiliar. No one else he knew seemed to know them, but maybe it'd be different with the Time Patrollers. "And yeah! You got it right. I would've introduced myself last time, but I was kinda surprised. First I'd seen Kayel in what must've been a year, eaaaasily! Sorry about that, by the way."
16. [14:51] *Mirai Pan 's brow took to the sky at the mention of said certain bespectabled demon scientist, only for both brows to then plummet. "Ah, him... Alright, come with, I think I know a place that's pretty bug-free~" With that, she took a stretch and began backtracking the way she jogged from before. Ironically, back there they'd probably be able to talk. Gesturing the blonde boy to follow, Pan headed back into Watch HQ, gave the receptionist a wave, and then headed further down, all the way past the dressing rooms, the showers, and... the gravity chamber.
17.
18. Pan gave a laugh as she swiped Bardock's spare entry pass through the card reader, causing the door to one of the Watch's gravity chambers to open up. Great gramps told her at some point that these rooms weren't tapped, so fighters could really lay it all bare in there. Well, verbally, anyway.
19.
20. Should Pikan have followed, Pan would close the door behind her, and once they were sealed inside the gravity chamber, her eyes closed and she let out a puff of breath. With how the Lilac Demon usually sneered it was hard to tell how serious the guy was about... anything. Though she had appreciated his assistance and his support, especially as of recent, Pan wasn't so stupid as to think she got the entire picture. "What did he do...?"
21. [14:55] *Mirai Pan [sub]forgot a "Don't worry about it." somewhere in there[/sub]
22. [15:00] *Pikan leisurely followed behind her as she ventured. This whole place was new to him, and like a wild lynx stumbling into civilization, he was curious, cautious and more than a little amused. Following the leader wherever she may go, always nipping behind at her heels to make it clear that he was following behind, and not just coincidentally traveling in the same direction. A non-verbal, 'Hay, it's okay. I'm a +1/Guest.' Acting his usual cool and collected stoic self, with that bubbly demeanor below the surface.
23.
24. The innards of this place were like something out of a boyish sci-fi fantasy dream. He dug it! Panels and dials and interesting near-future environments. It didn't don on him exactly what this place was.
25.
26. "This is a nice place ya got here. Roomy." Looking all around, before turning back to start in. Taking a deeeep breath, he huffed it out. "Okay. For starters," Bringing both hands together and steepling them, fingers spreading and splaying out before coming back together, "It started about a week ago. I was camping in the Mesmersnow, when I heard some guys talking. And then some yelling. So, I popped out of the snow, like, 'Hey, you guys have day jobs or something!? Trying to cook tasty animals, here!' And I noticed three dudes. They captured this lady called Everion- think you've met her before, maybe? And had her tied up. Which is WEIRD because she's a tropical lizard lady and I think they may've took her there, because I can't imagine her willingly going there herself. There was a blonde dude with blue skin and green earrings, a guy that later introduced himself as Fu, and then this other jerk that used ice techniques. Really put the hurting on a saiyan named Kabage. But I think they did something to Eve. I ran off with Kabage after the ice-demon guy was done screwing with us and into Ground Zero."
27. [15:03] Pikan: "Errrr.. White haired. Platinum blonde? He had white hair. Not blonde like mine!"
28. [15:19] *Mirai Pan noticed all too well that Pikan didn't seem to have ever been inside the Watch HQ, and sure enough, the interior of the gravity chamber gave him quite something to marvel at. The way the central pillar with the gravity controls was blinking in all sorts of light, the display saying 1G in large lettering, and the many buttons on the control panel below it seemed to almost beg a kid to start twisting nobs and pulling buttons or what the phrase was. "Heh, this is one of the Watch's gravity chambers. It is where Time Patrollers train under heavy gravity situations. I don't mind letting you try a little bit of it later if you want!" Pan cheerfully commented, but said smile was quick to disappear when the boy began to relay his eyewitness account.
29.
30. Pan leant back against the main column, her hands on her thighs as her onyx eyes maintained sharp contact with the boy. Even though neither her ki nor her immense fighting intent was being blasted out, the quarter-Saiyan had a palpable presence even when not trying to. Kind of like a life-dangerous predator, despite being at rest and not at all baring her fangs.
31.
32. Pan's eyes betrayed a gleam at the mention of Everion, and then mentally went over the descriptions that were given. The platinum-blonde man with blue skin didn't ring a bell. Fu was Fu, of course; she had seen quite a lot of him. The mention of a demon that used ice powers however caused her expression to give a twitch. For a short moment, she thought back to the time during the attack on West City, remembering clearly the strange blizzard that had gripped the city at the time. Sure, she managed to rip it apart with her own immense 'heat', but she always expected there were more demons involved than just that little wench that sicced great gramma onto her...
33.
34. Anyway, back to the story. Pan intently listened until the boy was done, then remained silent for a bit. "Ground Zero... Risky, and smart." In a way that place could be considered a refuge for fighters with weaker ki. Certainly there were few fighters that had a tremendous focus on training their bodies apart from their ki like Pan did, and like this kid seemed to do.
35.
36. She lowered herself onto her knee until her face was at the same height as his. "Thanks for telling me, Pikan. I'll definitely talk to Fu about this." For starter, she too wanted to know what heppened. "Be careful in the future, though. Mesmersnow is very dangerous. You could say that the area is under... well, under Demon management. I advise you to not go there for the time being. Especially not alone." She didn't really know the details, but she was aware that Cumber had claimed the area, and her talks with a certain fella made it clear that he was allied to the demons.
37.
38. "This platinum blonde person, what did he look like?" She was curious about this mystery person.
39. [15:33] *Pikan peered back up at her. And...... while she had a very intimidating presence, the response she got back was one of almost blase indifference to it. He was an Iron Strider, through and through. If ever there was a good parallel to that, it was being a squirrel before a pack of hungry dogs. That was just the existence you paid. Danger was around every corner, hostility and overwhelming violence was the inevitable. Dead was dead, whether it came from a bear, or an army. The only real difference between one opponent and fifty to one being how many you can possibly inconvenience or wound or kill before you yourself fall. A cynical philosophy, to be sure, but that's why they walk the iron. He recognized the intensity, though. But outwardly, it didn't change his earnest smile much.
40.
41. "Pointy ears. He spoke like he was bossing Fu around. The other guy was just a bottom feeder they let off his chain to go bother us much weaker people. I think these people are supposed to be demons? But they didn't look like the red skinned, pokey-spade tailed things I heard demons were supposed to look like." Emphasizing the ears with both hands. "Blue skin. Not a deep blue, like a blueberry. More like.. More like the sky than a blueberry. Or tropical pictures of shallow ocean? More cyan, I guess, than deep blue." Emphasizing his eyes, "And red eyes, like he stuck a fork in an outlet. But they were more pinkish than pure red, I guess. But that's not all! It gets WEIRDER."
42.
43. "I went to Zone 7.. The Koi-Koi water body. Had some fish with a space guy named Zage and a lady named A-ko. A-ko said her parents were missing. This is important, I think. And then after we talked to her about it, Fu just.. appears in front of us and basically gloats without saying anything really. Introduces himself. You must know how he do, right? Well he warns us to watch our butts and then disappears. A-Ko flies off because I didn't mention he was there apparently kidnapping our friend Eve when he was here. And... between you and me, the girl's nice but she has the survival instincts of a lemming. Don't tell her I said that."
44. [15:50] *Mirai Pan maintained quiet eye-contact, listening without interrupting again. She didn't really know where he was going with this description of the third guy in the group, that the kid said was actually bossing around Fu. Could it have been... Mechikaboola? Fu did say that he got young again, though Pan could only guess at it. She never saw the guy, but if there was anyone that was actually stronger than Fu, capable of talking to him like a superior, then it would be that guy, no doubt. "Yes, Demons. Or Makai, as they're called. Well, as far as I know, they too come in many different shapes and sizes." Dabura came to mind; a very traditional-looking demon to be sure.
45.
46. When Pikan's explanations segwayed into a whole different encounter, Pan's thoughts needed a moment to shift gear. Luckily she had already met Zage, and A-ko had been... a rather curious addition to the Nexus as of late as well. She did not know her backstory yet, nor her reason for ending up here. However, it stood to reason that Fu was involved once more. "Heh, I get'cha." Pan responded with a faint smirk. The fact that this kid didn't shrink back from her despite her presence made her like him.
47.
48. "Alright, you did the right thing. Fu is, eh... It's complicated." Pan couldn't say she wasn't appreciative of him for many things. She knew of his many faults, yet fate conspired to make her associate with him quite a bit. He had a habit of... well, appearing before her, and he had saved her life more than once. "Fu will rarely show his true thoughts. He usually sneers at people. When he does... well, just nod. It is annoying, but you do what you gotta to keep your head. As for him... Hmh..." She slammed her fist in her open hand. "Him and me need to have some 'words' about the stuff he isn't telling me..."
49.
50. Not that she was necessarily in a different position than Pikan. That said, she had a better chance for sure.
51.
52. "Do you have a place to stay?" She asked, curiously. This kid seemed perhaps a little too self-sufficient for his own good. "Survival instincts are good to have, but you probably realized from traveling this Nexus, how many extremely powerful beings exist here. A safe haven or two is simply necessary."
53. [16:05] *Pikan "Makai..." He said, turning the name about in his mouth. It seemed appropriate. Coming out of his brief stint lost in his own head to again regard Pan, eye to eye. "What you say about Fu rings true. 'Cause, I'm not done. The story just gets a bit weirder from here!" .. Also coincidentally bulldozing around the slight shift in conversation. That is, whether he has a place to stay or not. Hmhmhmhm!
54.
55. "So I've been camping out in Ground Zero, investigating the weird ki-sucking crystals out there. And, ah. I think Fu noticed. I deliberately gave him a false name when we introduced ourselves in the lake. Walking through Ground Zero, I spotted a weird thing that looked like an art deco froufrou failed artist had a baby with a hillbilly. It was like a spaceship doublewide." Emphasizing a rectangular box shape with his hands. "I kinda figured it might have something to do with the knife eared nutter anyway, so I knocked on the door and was let in. Thing was bigger on the inside than out. Full of even weirder stuff than this place!" He emphasized the technological chamber, all around them. ".. Which is really neat by the way.. I'd like to play around in here a while when I'm done... But DIGRESSING!"
56.
57. "We traded jokey jabs for a bit, started to talk about Ground Zero and the crystals- he wanted to know what I knew. So, I told him some. He was GONNA say something back about it, but then his mom showed up in her own weird science van and crashed into him. They fought over who had the right to make the place their base for a while. His dad was apparently driving the thing? Fu said he'd join her empire in order to stay there. She still demanded he move and find another spot." His next pantomiming was strange. "So he hits a button and up comes this giant caveman slingshot from the top of his van and he hurls a giant ball of the ki-crystals at his mama. But, it snags the bus and we get thrown too. And after that, all I remember is a big explosion and waking up on the ground. Covered in bruises, but, y'know..." Hands steepling together. "Considering I just survived a big explosion of ki-sucking crystals and two weird space-busses bigger inside than out? I'm kinda doin' pretty good. Fu looked hurt though. He called for help and a robot swooped in fast enough it had to've been lurking about, picked him up and flew off!"
58. [16:06] Pikan: "But he called me by a name I referred to myself AFTER he left, which he couldn't have known unless he was there, or had something there to hear it. I don't know what it is."
59. [16:06] Pikan: ".. Oh, also, I had a juice box. Not sure if that's important or not."
60. [16:18] *Haylee Comet sits back in her ship, the vessel parked in mesmersnow at the moment just outside of the Cumber occupied base. Her eyes reading over the data she was receiving from her uplink to the bases computers. She hummed softly yo herself as the looked it over before reaching over to the communications array and using a secure channel called up her Lord Frieza. Or well she thought she had, the first face that appeared on the screen was Berry Blue. She acked and fell out of her Chair when the woman started berating her for being out of contact again, and not taking care of herself from the looks of it. "What are you? my Grandmother?" she muttered before she finally got herself back in her seat, her eyes narrowed at the diminutive aid to her Lord. "Look I'm fine, I haven't gone and gotten myself blown up, punched, or destroyed. What I do need is supplies and minions to establish an outpost. Yes I know that's the job of the scouts and if I believed they would survive getting to the site in the next 100 years I would leave it for them..No I'm calling because...how do you know about those!?"
61. [16:29] *Mirai Pan felt like she needed to hold her brain in place to stop it from wanting to run away at this extremely strange influx of information. What the hell, man? She thought she had weird run-ins with Fu. One things he could agree about, though. Getting weirder? "It always does with that guy."
62.
63. This kid with his single-digit had some serious vocabulary on him, though, Pan had to admit. Back when she was 7 or 8, she was still calling people poopy-face and just getting lost in flying around the world and training like hell. Was she on the spectrum, maybe? Well, food for thought, anyway.
64.
65. "His parents, really?" She had heard many stories about this illustrious pair, but never saw them in person. It seemed that this Pikan was quite gifted when it came to actually meeting extremely powerful and dangerous people. In that regard, she wasn't sure whether she should be apprehensive or jealous. Either way, this only reinforced her notion that this kid really needed to steer clear of some of the more dangerous places. Well, she really wanted to tell him that, though if Fu wanted to see you he'd find a way. "Yeah, hiding your name doesn't really work, he has eyes everywhere. He probably knows everything there is to know about you already, right down to where you live and what hand you wipe with. Definitely one of his less endearing qualities..." Pan grumped. Still... "You say he got injured?" Really? Well, if it happened in Ground Zero, it wasn't that farfetched an idea. "Perhaps not having a lot of ki worked in your favor there..."
66.
67. Pan sighed, and stepped closer. "The Nexus seems to be going crazy. Lots of dangerous folks maneuvering this way and that. Someone as powerful as Galen getting killed with barely a lead to go on. Right now, the safest place to be is probably here, at the Watch. Promise me you're not going to hike by yourself out there."
68.
69. Suddenly, Pan turned to look down at the pocket in her tracksuit pants, and took out a small capsule case. Opening it and taking out one capsule, she brought out a scouter shaped more or less as an earpiese with a retractable visor. Pretty streamlined model, that. "I happen to have a spare. You should contact people if you're in trouble. I got one too." She canted her head and tapped at her right ear, showing the earpiece going round the back of it. "Works on Time Patrol channels. If you ever get in any trouble, call someone. You can call me anytime. And... if you find yourself by the Koi-Koi river in need of a safe place to crash, I got a capsule house by the Northwestern riverside, in the middle of the Void Forest."
70. [16:30] Mirai Pan: single-digit age*
71. [16:32] Mirai Pan: earpiece*
72. [16:45] *Pikan did indeed have a large vocabulary. It was a curious combination of utter meathead and book smart, street smart. Not an engineering minded person, but.. well, STEM in practice, perhaps. Just enough book smarts to be dangerous. Should he have the right books. And it's clear one of his first books was a dictionary. That was fundamentally absorbed harder than Buu around the world's largest jawbreaker. Nodding vigorously to that assessment, that seemed true.
73.
74. "Towa?.. Trowa?.. Trolla?.. Toe-a something. And Meera. I'd believe it. That's why I was thinking it'd be smarter to tell you in here. I'm trying to think of ways to pass information along without saying it or writing it down, but no offense I don't think I could make a cypher you could read but he couldn't. Best I could do is waste his time with nonsense characters, or something!" Walking around her as he speaks, hand out and palm up.
75.
76. "I can't really agree with you, ma'am." He said, shaking his head. Slower, this time. "The safest place is probably here, but not the most effective. I've already come across Fu twice now and not been kidnapped or killed. You could argue because he's nutty or because he's playing a game, but I don't think he's interested in actually killing me. Probably he's just bored and thinks it'd be fun to screw with me in mental ways. Ways that probably.. ahhhh.." Looking sheepish. How to phrase it...! ".. He's.. not really.. challenged... by most Time Patrollers." Lips pursed and eyes up. He's not going to say most of them are a bit dim. But there's a big gaping void like a tetris block right where that statement SHOULD be.
77.
78. At the revelation of the scouter, his mouth gapes open and he stares at it like a monkey before a monolith. Ohhh. Reaching out for it tentatively, small chubby fingers reaching it and taking it, Looking it all around, inspecting it.. then immediately attaching it to his left ear, adjusting the eyepiece with a big double thumbs up and his characteristic manic grin! "I find myself there catching fish a lot. Thank you lots, Ms. Pan!" Launching up to give her a big, unsolicited hug. Awww!
79. [16:57] *Mirai Pan lets out a rather cute-sounding giggle as she was suddenly hugged out of the blue, reaching out to wrap one of her own arms around him as a return. He was quite the affectionate kid underneath it all, huh? "Hee, just Pan is fine, don't make it weird, now~" She smiled, and gave him a little airplane spin before putting him back down. When his feet hit the ground again, though, her expression was a lot more serious. "True, he won't kill you, but I can't guarantee that you'll like where you end up if you stay close to him." She didn't mention his strength level in that, though she knows quite well that Fu has frequently complained about the strength of those he forcibly associates with. "Personally, I'd say prevention is the soundest strategy, which is why I suggested you stick around the Watch and the city. But you're right, there's no guarantees in life, especially here in the Nexus. Even if I say so myself, I'm probably one of the strongest beings around, but against the ones that are truly at the top, I wouldn't stand a chance..."
80.
81. The look in her face suggested that this annoyed her. Clearly some things have happened in that regard... Eventually deciding not to push the matter any further, she narrowed her eyes to a close, and let out a sigh of resignation. "Alright, I won't say anything, just be careful. I know this is the pot calling the kettle black but what is it with headstrong kids these days...?~" Her lips curled into a smile once more as she raised her hand to her right ear, pressing a specific part of the ear piece scouter, and with a very faint VWOOM sound, a bluish-tinted holographic visor just popped into being. "No physical visor either, you can turn it on and off. Ain't that snazzy?" A hand came down to affectionately ruffle that mop of golden hair he sported.
82. [17:03] S A F F R O N has left the channel.
83. [17:09] Saiyan Soldier Fasha has left the channel.
84. [17:12] *Pikan giggled! Returning to his bare feet on the ground, already touching over the non-buttoned parts of the tiny device. "I'm prepared for that. Asides.. You were right when you said it. I kinda gravitate towards powerful people without even knowing it." Playing with the dials some, experimenting with the interface. He'd played around with a desktop computer display in the stores of the misc. cities a few times. This was.. substantially more far out than what he remembered. But the principle seemed the same. "Heck. A week ago I came across some weird plant demon lady that was all bummed out and fishing. Said Towa.. or.. was it Fu?.. Somebody powerful just up and sucked her power out of her! But she was still waaaaaaaay above my paygrade." Hitting different buttons, cycling through Scouter modes. "I tried to tell her about this stuff yesterday, but she got mad at me for even bringing up Fu. Told me they're dangerous. So she went right back to planting her seeds annnnd not-so-directly said to go away." Looking back at Pan with a shrug. "What can ya do?" Mop of gold hair all the more mussed! And another giggle. "Think she said her name was Velte."
85. [17:18] *Haylee Comet was almost vibrating in her seat as she listened to a dialogue of what she should be doing, her face surprisingly was more red for embarassment than ange. "Now listen here, Those were meant for him, how dare you go....What do you mean inappropriate!?" The pink haired assassin grabbed the screen and pulled it close as she pretty much put her nose against the screen. "Those were specifically meant for him and him alone, I swear that if you.. No I have not been brushing my hair daily...Kai Damnit!" She growled. "Look, either approve what I've asked for, or put me through to Lord Frieza and he can...No I'm not going to...Fine I'll Wait."
86. [17:20] Shroom has joined the channel.
87. [17:22] Saiyan Soldier Fasha has joined the channel.
88. [17:23] Reizo Nakatomi has joined the channel.
89. [17:24] Saiyan Soldier Fasha has left the channel.
90. [17:24] *Mirai Pan observed as Pikan experimented with his new scouter for a bit. How did this little guy experience so much in such a short amount of time? Was it perhaps the case that she had been slacking too much? Day in day out, training her body, training her spirit, honing her aura and cultivating her ki. Hours and hours of pushing herself to the limit. Perhaps as one of the forerunners, she felt that it was a duty to be the best she could be, so she could keep her friends and family safe. That whole idea got turned upside its head when Galen, perhaps the closest thing to a new member of her family she had here in the Nexus, perished at the hands of an unknown assailant. Just when she had taken it upon herself to gear herself back a bit, allow her body to rest and rebuild itself. Right now, though, sitting still felt paralyzing. That anger seething deep within needed a channel. Training until her body was past its limit every day seemed like the only good way to maintain the precarious balance she had found for herself.

92. Speaking of, a demon woman that controlled plants, called Velte. The pronounced muscles throughout her body seemed to tighten visibly at the mention of her. Plants... The demon that orchestrated the attack on the city also used plants. Was it the same person?
93.
94. THe hand atop Pikan's head slowly retracted itself, and it seemed as if suddenly, the gravity in the area seemed to increase. Which was weird, since Pan hadn't done anything with the gravity chamber controls. No, this sudden weight came from the intense fighting intent that seemed to be awakening within her ever so slightly. "Velte... Can you describe this woman to me?"
95.
96. There was still the matter of great grandma being controlled by that woman. She had wanted to chase her down, but she didn't know where to start, and now it turns out this person had been squatting right in her own neck of the woods all this time. The idea alone was pissing her off...
97. [17:25] Saiyan Soldier Fasha has joined the channel.
98. [17:27] Saiyan Soldier Fasha has left the channel.
99. [17:28] Maize a Saiyan has joined the channel.
100. [17:30] *Pikan gazed forwards, instead of at the peripheral on his eye. Oh yeah, he felt it. You don't increase your own bodyweight with ki and play with mass and density with your own spiritual power without recognizing when it was subtly shifting in another person. Just by sympathetic association. Just by the hint of the waves close from her. It appeared that if this Velte lady had any enemies among the Time Patrollers, he'd stumbled into the lion's den of someone that perhaps took that matter most serious. Wwwwuh-oh....
101.
102. Veeeery slowly, he turned his eyes towards Pan. "I caaan... but can I ask you to calm down first?" Hitting a few buttons on the Scouter, looking at her as the holo-peripheral's numbers started going up. A less than subtle Pikanism for 'Hey, you're kinda skyrocketing upwards here.' The reversed digits and the possible little sounds of the device as the readings went up.
103. [17:31] Pikan: (had many enemies^)
104. [17:31] Saiyan Soldier Fasha has joined the channel.
105. [17:39] *Mirai Pan 's ki was indeed shifting ever so subtly, however... what was truly roiling to the surface seemed to be a force altogether different from it. Was it internal strength made external? Intent made corporeal? Bloodlust turned into palpable sharpness? Maybe a combination of all of them. Such a thing could perhaps only be truly understood after fighting a truly cyclopean amount of battles... Even so, Pan's expression suddenly made a twitch as if she snapped out of something, and within an instant that suffocating feeling that had settled around the place was instantly gone, like it was never there. Perhaps the subtle shift of ki had only been a byproduct of that.
106.
107. "I'm perfectly calm. This is just a tiny little blip, I assure you." Pan said, but the gleam in her eye showed that she was still annoyed thinking about that Demon wench. She remembered the feeling of having her hand around her neck, the way it felt so rubbery and wet and very unlike living flesh. She remembered squeezing, and the body splashing into some kind of slimy body double. After blowing up such a big portion of the city, it was the fact that this woman managed to get away from her, despite the enormous difference in their strengths, that pissed her off the most.
108.
109. Yeah, she couldn't deny she still rather wanted to crush her into nothing... Exhaling through her diaphragm, she turned her eyes back down. "So, what is she up to?"
110. [17:46] *Pikan hah... A tiny little blip. "That's what I'm afraid of!" He said, giggling despite the close proximity to such a roaring volcano vent. Calming down himself and going back to playing with the dials on the new device, experimenting with the settings to customize it. "Pink-ish skin. Knife ears. Kinda...." Trying to think of the word for that hair.
111.
112. It was then that he used a little telekinesis, adjusting his golden mop of a hairdo. The right side of his face obscured my the hair, drooping down over his cheek and eye. "Blonder than me! But not white, like Fu's order-giver. And gaudy golden earrings." Letting his hair wild back to normal, TK releasing. Pointing to his eyes, next. "Really really red irises, but white sclera." There's that vocabulary again. "Kinda dressed like she cut up a black rubber house and made it a fashion statement. Makai are weird. They dress weird. All baby pacifier jewelry and hoses."
113. [17:47] *Pikan (black rubber hose)
114. [17:49] Shroom: Demigra and Chronoa were down and out and the despair was growing a bit as some patrollers took note. That said, Shroom made sure few really managed to take note. Grim Reaper Soldiers now mingled and mixed with patrollers in training, the Demon God giving out tidbits and information on tactics used by Dark Empire Soldiers. It was all so... weird.
115.
116. The Death God was suddenly helped with defenses, testing his own magic against areas of the barrier and strengthening where he felt was needed, or just wanted to ad a little reinforcement of his own. Heavy boots thumped to the hall as he made his way from the infirmary, that special section where Galen's body had been healed and preserved free of time's decay. The expression he wore was rather stoic-- strange and uncharacteristic for his usual friendly gait and nonchalant attitude to even the point his stride seemed to carry a weighted purpose.
117.
118. "Switch shifts with the southern patrol. I want 'em rested up while we expand across Zone 7 and Zone 6. Zone 4's good. Keep an eye out for that big ass frog-toad-thing too." He seemingly spoke to no one, but the crimson gem of his cowl broach was alight to communicate across to his soldiers as well as one of the TP scouter frequencies. "I got business to attend to. Bother me only if it's important or got to do with Squirt. Kid should be busy with her studies for a few hours yet..."
119.
120. He cut communications, then went on the wander for a room to commandeer, scythe resting over his shoulder.
