Refraction

In the process of examining light refraction and reflection in this lab, we have observed the ways in which light interacts with a physical medium, in this case a special glass prism. Looking at the two phases of the experiment in reference to each other, it was determined that the angles of refraction for each individual light beam were appreciably higher when each was being refracted out of the prism than when they entered. Overall, it demonstrated the deteriorative effects that a physical medium can have on the coherence of a light beam, though. The data from this lab is still somewhat suspect, however, as the ability to follow the instructions of this lab was somewhat impaired by an unforeseen viral outbreak.
