  1. Gran Turismo 2 Low% (No License Prizes) FAQ
  2.
  3. Q: Why is this Low%?
  4. A: Any% is the fastest way to beat the game, which is the JP version. Anything else is over an hour longer, so Low% is a better name. Any% JP, US, EU sound bad for runs that are very different.
  5.
  6. Q: What is Low?
  7. A: Beat the World League after the Leagues and Nationals.
  8.
  9. Q: Isn't License Prizes faster?
  10. A: Yeah, but this category is better, and also different.
  11.
  12. Q: Why the Miata for Nationals?
  13. A: It's the fastest car for the job. Needs to start under 197HP and win the Pacific 2 race in Seattle.
  14. Rear-wheel drive, cheapest parts, Turbo, lightweight.
  15. The run used to have the Civic 3 Door, and earlier, the Skyline GTS-t, but through 2 years of testing, those are pretty slow.
  16.
  17. Q: Shouldn't you buy more parts more often?
  18. A: No, because menuing is slow in GT2. Very, very slow and I can't make up the time lost in menus with the parts that I would buy doing that. So, only the necessary parts.
  19.
  20. Q: Is money tight?
  21. A: Kind of. The route I use, yes money is tight, and there are parts I would love to get (Suspension and Transmission), if there was more money.
  22.
  23. Q: Does every GT run have to do Licenses?
  24. A: Yes, it sucks to have to get a run after 30 minutes, but it's fine.
  25.
  26. Q: Why the Impreza for the last 2 races?
  27. A: Best car for the money, and the RX-7 is higher than 542HP, and can't enter Pacific League.
  28.
  29. Q: Can you get the Escudo?
  30. A: Not in this category. And, not in License Prizes, 'cause the money just isn't there.
  31.
  32. Q: Why the GT-ONE?
  33. A: Fastest car that isn't the Escudo. Can't adjust the downforce, so handling is tough, but still faster than any other option that has downforce (XJ-200). And, I don't have to do an extra race for it.
  34.
  35. Q: Is this run hard?
  36. A: Kind of. The run makes the player use multiple cars, so you'd have to be competent with everything to get a good time.
  37.
  38. Q: Automatic or Manual?
  39. A: I'm learning Manual finally, so the latter.
  40.
  41. Q: Do you like this category?
  42. A: Yes, a lot. I've been running this category for over 2 years, even before I started streaming and got a computer, so I've put a lot of time into it, and it never gets boring.
  43.
  44. Q: If there are no skips, how is there any time to be saved?
  45. A: Better driving, different parts, different car setups. I go by the theory of, if I can find a driving line or a different setting that saves even 0.2 seconds per lap, I can keep finding more optimal ways to run the category. And, that tiny time save adds up throughout the run, with the run having 75 laps altogether.
  46.
  47. Q: This run is boring.
  48. A: Why are you watching?
