BACKGROUND : eunbyul moved to new york at the age of 4 after her father found a job there. for the first few years of her schooling, she was often bullied for her appearance. it didn't help that there weren't many other asians in her school that she could befriend and relate to. she often turned to music to play away her hurt and sadness. she also had her twin older brothers with her to defend her whenever the bullying got way too ugly but they couldn't guard her every single place she went. so, after getting fed up of her stupid bullies, she learned to defend herself by using her sharp tongue that could cut through any person's ego no matter how big or bloated. eventually the bullying did stop as they grew too afraid of arguing with her. eunbyul, however, still wasn't satisfied. it didn't solve her hunger for asian representation in her life. after digging deeper into the kpop industry, eunbyul grew extremely interested and decided to give auditioning a shot once she heard s.m entertainment was holding auditions in the city. after passing the auditions, she moved back to korea with her mother, while the rest of her family stayed in new york.

PERSONALITY : eunbyul is an incredibly hardworking girl who borders the line of an extreme perfectionist quite often. she often bites off more than she can chew and overworks herself to her wits end. she usually needs to be reminded that her body needs actual sleep for it to function properly. though not entirely extroverted, eunbyul is perfectly fine with meeting new people and often hits it off quite well with them. she has a way with words and knows just what to say in any situation. she's very knowledgeable in most subjects but is always thirsting to learn more and more. she's also very witty and never misses a chance to tease the other members.
