  6. [2015-07-01 13:08:40] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Over the radio, Mwana then says, "If you can stay hidden, I think you should do so. But you'll need to send a few of you ponies over. The other captains are going to want to know what happened..." He stops, apparently stepping away from the radio a few moments. During the silence, the /Cutless/ and two other ships pass by.
  7. [2015-07-01 13:08:46] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana returns, saying, "Soon as they stop arguing over whose ship to gather on, that is."

  9. [2015-07-01 13:10:42] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Golden_Dream clops her hooves together. "Hey, so. After they went n' fucked up and imploded their flagship, we got a lotta stripeless zebras held hostage on ours."
  10. [2015-07-01 13:10:49] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Golden_Dream rolls her hooves. "If you got any means of gettin' their stripes back, I'm thinkin' they'd be happy to work with you lot."
  11. [2015-07-01 13:11:04] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana asks confusedly, "Stripeless zebras? You mean ponies?" Then shifts the conversation, "Hey, the other pirate captains are going to need to hear from some of you 'bout what happened to the Leviathan. Sooner is better, before the speculation gets any crazier." He frowns, "They're holdin' an assembly over on the /Skullcrusher/, the Vespertilio's ship."
  12. [2015-07-01 13:11:16] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana mutters something under his breath. Golden_Dream can make out the word "cruentos".
  13. [2015-07-01 13:11:38] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Golden_Dream rolls her eyes. "Fine, fuck. Any of ya'll got an extra set a' colors we can use t' take th' new invisiship along with us? Or is that jus' washin' a baby swampfolk at this point?"

[2015-07-01 13:11:50] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana offers, "We can gather some sheets and leftover paint... but it might be better for your friends to come aboard here and then transfer to the other ship. You just got an Umbra-class ship, and you're not strong enough to keep it if a bunch of these guys decided they want it...'

  16. [2015-07-01 13:12:31] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Ditzi Doo finally stops, plopping down on her plot and just stares. Not the stare of somepony who has found what they are looking for, but of a pony who has been trying to find a way out with no success for months, and has stopped expecting that to change. But here, at least, the floor is more dirt than stone; she can etch words in that. She writes: Hello.

  18. [2015-07-01 13:13:57] <Mare-Do-Well> 3CopyCat adds, "I was there when we... um... distrupted the Leviathan's engine. When the ship imploded it seemed to vanish completely. Like a snake eating its own tail."
  19. [2015-07-01 13:14:07] <Mare-Do-Well> 3When Mwana translates what CopyCat says, there is a ripple of excitement through the gathered pirates. The Captain has several sharp words with them, and the scurry back to their work. Through Mwana, "Choose who will speak to the other Captains about the Leviathan. It would be best if it was Captain Noble_Heart, but that cannot be helped."
  20. [2015-07-01 13:14:19] <Mare-Do-Well> 3CopyCat tilts her head. "Although we had not thought to look for wreckage. We were quite happy to have survived the Leviathan's passing."
  21. [2015-07-01 13:14:26] <Mare-Do-Well> 3"When you tell them what occurred, tell it as..." There is a pause in the translating and a whining complaint from Mwana. Then, "...as Golden_Dream tells it. Say nothing of the ship disappearing."
  22. [2015-07-01 13:14:51] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Goldy pokes Copycat. "She's the one what speaks th' best. I jus' yell at folks."
  23. [2015-07-01 13:14:56] <Mare-Do-Well> 3CopyCat glances at Goldy as the need for Noble_Heart is repeated. "That... might be arranged."
  24. [2015-07-01 13:15:02] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Goldy 's eyes go wide, excitement filling her bones. "You figured it out?!"
  25. [2015-07-01 13:15:09] <Mare-Do-Well> 3CopyCat bites her lip at Goldy's excited response. "Um, I'm afraid not. Not like that. I just mean that if the other pirates need to /see/ our captain, well..." she looks down and shuffles her hooves awkwardly. "I could pretend."
  26. [2015-07-01 13:15:15] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Goldy opened her mouth... Then closed it. "... Do it, I guess."
  27. [2015-07-01 13:15:16] <Mare-Do-Well> 3...
  28. [2015-07-01 13:15:35] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Ditzy Doo throws her hooves (and what's left of her wings) around Noble_Heart in an enthusiastic and thankful hug. She actually manages to ooze tears of joy. That someone would come after all this time and bring her good news, news of her family... it is more than she could have wished for. Noble_Heart's words have filled her with joy.
  29. [2015-07-01 13:15:40] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Noble_Heart gently wraps a foreleg around Ditzy Doo, holding her close. It was perhaps not the best news, but at least it was a reason to know that those she cared about were safe for the moment.

  32. [2015-07-01 13:16:07] <Mare-Do-Well> 3One answers quickly, "We were foolish, like children. But we could never stand against Roam. Roam is... is..."
  33. [2015-07-01 13:16:13] <Mare-Do-Well> 3"Roam is like mother. You cannot hate your mother. That would be wrong."
  34. [2015-07-01 13:16:19] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The other nods. "We serve Roam."
  35. [2015-07-01 13:16:27] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Shatara nods and ponders a moment. "Thank you for your time. It was good to talk, maybe we can talk again..." He steps away, and turns to Mare-Do-Well. "You've got experience with this sort of thing...don't you? What do you think..?"
  36. [2015-07-01 13:16:35] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mare-Do-Well answers, "Twilight fixed us. With friendship. And real memories." She looks at the stripeless.

  40. [2015-07-01 13:23:43] * Mare-Do-Well 3looks to Shatara, "I don't suppose that'll work for this guys?"
  41. [2015-07-01 13:29:02] * Bookwright "I'm pretty sure we don't have a bar. If there's any alcohol around here, Golden Dream has it. Furthermore, I don't think we have any ice. Even further-furthermore... um. Actually I lost my train of thought. Never mind."
  42. [2015-07-01 13:30:24] * Get_Lost looks at the translators and frowns "hey, i kind of know your voice..."
  43. [2015-07-01 13:30:32] * Shatara shrugs. "I guess we can friendship. Not sure how to make them remember not being boot-licking facists though..."
  44. [2015-07-01 13:30:50] * CopyCat unfortunately lacks Noble_Heart's captain hat of captaining. She considers asking Get_Lost to craft her a hat out of a newspaper but quickly thinks better of it.
  45. [2015-07-01 13:32:04] * Get_Lost "i... i really think i declared war on roam on behalf of equestria and called you stripes.... ah... it was mostly to get you confused and upset... ehrm... also, at that moment i didn't know you were... well... plain white... so... no bad bolld?"

  47. [2015-07-01 13:38:46] * CopyCat cannot, it turns out, resist the urge to see what Get_Lost would come up with. "Chief Engineer Get_Lost, We will require a suitable hat for Our meeting with the other captains. Is this something you can assist with?"
  48. [2015-07-01 13:44:03] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The translators look at Get_Lost, and here is a light of recognition in their eyes.

  50. [2015-07-01 13:46:57] * Mitzi looks to Bookwright and Shatara, garning a bit of what they were talking about with the zebras. "So, eez dese stripey ponees sick? Like Uh got on dat ship?"
  51. [2015-07-01 13:47:24] * Get_Lost replies telepatically "sure thing!"
  52. [2015-07-01 13:47:45] * Bookwright "It sure seems like it. Only they've probably been working on that ship for months. So I have no idea when its effects will wear off, if ever."
  53. [2015-07-01 13:48:04] * Bookwright "Perhaps we could ask that irritating little spirit?"
  54. [2015-07-01 13:48:20] * Get_Lost queues telepatically "i can put some sort of bomb in your hat so you can blackmail them or everything goes blam! and then you ask for their underwear"
  55. [2015-07-01 13:48:37] <Mare-Do-Well> 3"No bad blood? Are you saying Equestria isn't declaring war yet?"
  56. [2015-07-01 13:50:29] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana looks up at not-Noble_Heart CopyCat. "Are you ready?"
  57. [2015-07-01 13:52:55] * Get_Lost "well... i don't think they'll do it... like... EVER. the NCR has some sort of decent army, but they aren't exaxtly interested in anything past equestrian ex maretropolies..."
  58. [2015-07-01 13:53:42] * Get_Lost "moreover... uhm... how to put it... we are a merchant expedition... we sort of got caught in.... we weren't supposed to fight you at all..."
  59. [2015-07-01 13:55:18] * CopyCat looks back at Mwana and shakes her head. "We wish to bring another of Our crew. Bring Golden_Dream with you when you board the /Skullcrusher/ and We shall find you shortly." With those words CopyCat takes wing and returns to the Stealth Ship... which she is only able to find through her link with her friends.
  60. [2015-07-01 14:01:52] * Shatara raises his talon. "I would like to point out at this time that we, much less our overzealous mad science radiomare, do not have the authority to declare war on behalf of any former Equestrian state."
  61. [2015-07-01 14:04:42] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The translators look to each other. "Because... Equestria is a broken land of savages and cannibals. Their descent into madness prevents any hope of forming a force against glorious Roam?"
  62. [2015-07-01 14:04:46] * Mitzi rubs the back of her head with a paw at Shatara, "Why dey tink we want war? We tryeen tu help dem."
  63. [2015-07-01 14:06:43] * Get_Lost "ehrm... not exactly... mostly because they're more interested into peaceful life and they're fed up of shooting... well, they actually still have the stratofortress and a couple of giant spidernauts (or they would if they listened to me) and enough plasma to clear the mountain and still have enought to clear the forest and make a prettyp lain of all of this place... but i don't think they really plan to..."
  64. [2015-07-01 14:08:26] * Shatara freezes, beak open and talon raised. Oh, this is problematic...oh phew, saved by the mad scientist. He relaxes and lets out his breath.
  65. [2015-07-01 14:13:12] * Golden_Dream adds, "NCR cares about NCR. Also, Skullcrusher? Really? Who came up with that, an adolescent colt?"
  66. [2015-07-01 14:13:45] * Get_Lost "also, please let me tell you that you totally need to get over this stupid balloon thing! have you noticed how obvious they are to take down? i have a waaaay better solution for keeping your battlefleet in the air!"
  67. [2015-07-01 14:14:18] * Get_Lost retrieves a LARGE bundle of blueprints from her saddlebags "now if you will listen to me for a minute..."
  68. [2015-07-01 14:15:33] * CopyCat lands back on the deck of the stealth ship, eliciting surprise from her friends since she happened to look like Noble Heart at the time. She realises her error too late, but quickly stutters, "Oh, nono! We are not Noble Heart We-" She clears her throat. "/I/ am CopyCat. I'm pretending to be Noble Heart because the other pirate captains want to /see/ our captain at the meeting."
  69. [2015-07-01 14:17:04] * Bookwright attempts to both raise and lower an eyebrow at the same time and succeeds only in appearing to twitch violently. "This sounds like an excellent plan with absolutely no chance of blowing up spectacularly in our faces. Wait, no, that was my plan to make coffee tomorrow. You're doing /what/ again!?"
  70. [2015-07-01 14:18:16] * Mitzi looks to CopyCat. "Gud disguise. Mageek eez eempressive."
  71. [2015-07-01 14:19:03] * CopyCat looks a little bashful. Which might be the first time any of the group has seen Noble_Heart (or a pretender) looking like that. "It seemed like a good idea at the time... So, um. Does anyone else wish to attend the meeting? We'll have to leave someone to watch over the stripeless zebra, but I was hoping for some of you to join me."
  72. [2015-07-01 14:20:30] * Mitzi looks to CopyCat, "Why yu want us join yu?"
  73. [2015-07-01 14:22:11] * Get_Lost is showing to the zebras her plans for full-converting airships into vecto thrust assault marauders
  74. [2015-07-01 14:23:44] * CopyCat smiles at Mitzi. "Well, for one thing, no one argues with a hellhound."
  75. [2015-07-01 14:25:26] * Bookwright "Er, who's sticking around to watch the prisoners?"
  76. [2015-07-01 14:26:01] * Mitzi raises an eyebrow, looking contemplative for a moment. "Ur seebleens have argued wit Uh."
  77. [2015-07-01 14:27:11] * Get_Lost copy is watching the prisoners, and teaching them the wonders of avanced cross-culture angineering!
  78. [2015-07-01 14:27:18] * Golden_Dream sighs. "We need someone t' talk to the' necromancer 'case she wakes up.
  79. [2015-07-01 14:27:57] * Get_Lost "see? it would climb at more than 400 meters per minute! you can't even dream that speed on a balloon! and the horizontal speed? well, you name a place? you're alreadt y there!"
  80. [2015-07-01 14:28:51] * Shatara rummages in his pack. "Uh, I have a cattle prod?" He produces it. Zzt zzt.
  81. [2015-07-01 14:29:14] * CopyCat rubs her chin. "Well, I suppose other Hellhounds would be the exception to that rule," she contemplates.
  82. [2015-07-01 14:30:03] * Mitzi nods, "Most ponees not argue, dey jsut shoot ur run away." She frowns. "Dat's wut Uh wuz hopeen tu change."
  83. [2015-07-01 14:34:50] * Bookwright "Right, that might be a bit much in a short period, but... Well. We're here talking to you, so that's demonstrable proof of success."
  84. [2015-07-01 14:34:52] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The translators are now talking with each other in zebra. Parlay translated enough to make it clear they are trying to figure out if Equestria is the "next enemy of Roam"?
  85. [2015-07-01 14:35:57] * Mitzi smiles at Bookwright and pats him on the head appreciatively. "Thank yu book ponee."
  86. [2015-07-01 14:37:02] * Shatara frowns. Well, that puts 'let them go back' off the table...
  87. [2015-07-01 14:39:35] * CopyCat nods at Mitzi in return. "I would like to you come with us, Mitzi, to see the gathering of pirate leaders." She looks down. "I'm sorry I used magic on you earlier."
  88. [2015-07-01 14:39:45] <Mare-Do-Well> 3One of them asks the other if a group of ponies on a pirate ship qualifies as an invasion.
  89. [2015-07-01 14:41:04] * Mitzi nods, remembering that with a frown. She looks to CopyCat, "Uh wuz... not urself. Yu stopped me from dueen more harm Uh tink. Eet's gud." She pats Copycat on the shoulder. "Uh wudeen't mind seeeen how yu ponees und stripey ponees du talkeen und tings."
  90. [2015-07-01 14:46:07] * CopyCat would start purring, but that might cause Noble_Heart to spontaneously combust, wherever she was. She smiles and looks at Mitzi and Bookwright, who seemed to have volunteered themselves. "Shall we go then? To the pirate meeting?"
  91. [2015-07-01 14:47:01] * Bookwright nods. "Yeh. Let's go. It'll give me a chance to practice looking diplomatic, at least."
  92. [2015-07-01 14:50:22] * Get_Lost frowns and tries in her baaaaad zebra "hey stop chatting about war and listen to me about mass destruction!"
  93. [2015-07-01 14:50:26] <Mare-Do-Well> 6Down in the depths of the Catacombs, Ditzy Doo and Noble_Heart sit in silence. As prisons go, this seems depressingly effective.
  94. [2015-07-01 14:51:45] * Mitzi looks to CopyCat, then back to Bookwright, "Yu gunna teleepurt us?"
  95. [2015-07-01 14:53:35] * CopyCat shakes her head. "I was planning to fly. I could bring you both with me. Golden_Dream and Mwana should be on board the /Skullcrusher/, where the captains are gathering. I was planning to fly to them."
  96. [2015-07-01 14:54:00] * Bookwright "That's a good plan. Did a lot of teleporting, I'm a bit drained."
  97. [2015-07-01 14:56:28] * CopyCat nods. "Then with your permission, Mitzi, I shall fly us down."
  98. [2015-07-01 14:56:31] * Noble_Heart kept a wing gently wrapped around Ditzy Doo. She sat quietly observing her surroundings in the darkness. This wasn't a prison. This was an oubliette. A place where you put people you didn't want to see any more.
  99. [2015-07-01 14:57:05] * Mitzi seems a bit iffy about flying, but wasn't going to ask her friend to strain himself. She gulps a little and nods, "Okay."
  100. [2015-07-01 15:01:56] <Mare-Do-Well> 6Neither Noble_Heart nor Ditzy Doo notice the flying drone until it is nearly on top of them. Suddenly, both are transfixed in a spotlight while the drone clangs in alarm.
  101. [2015-07-01 15:02:03] * CopyCat wraps a telekinetic field around Mitzi and Bookwright and takes off, floating them beside her. She focuses on Golden_Dream and heads towards the feeling of her friend. Hopefully towards the /Skullcrusher/.
  102. [2015-07-01 15:02:30] * Mitzi flails a little awkwardly as she's no longer in touch with anything solid. She shuts her eyes and waits
  103. [2015-07-01 15:02:38] * Bookwright floats gently through the air. He notes that Mitzi takes to the air like a very large, unhappy brick.
  104. [2015-07-01 15:03:33] * Noble_Heart blinks in surprise. Okay, that was not expected. She leaped to her hooves, quickly moving to grab at the weapon by her side with her mouth. It was... Not the most graceful maneuver possible. Considering that she usually wielded the weapons with her magic. But right now that wasn't really an option.
  105. [2015-07-01 15:13:14] <Mare-Do-Well> 6Red lights, like angry eyes, light up on the drone as Noble_Heart raises a weapon. The drone responds to the aggression by opening fire. The robot's 10mm SMG spits out two bullets, each striking Noble_Heart square in her breast above her heart... before running out of ammo.

[2015-07-01 15:13:38] * Get_Lost frowns, trying to get the zebras' attention back to her interesting drawings and attempt in her zebra "please! why to war if there is all the space for everypony! it is not important! you have to work and make things better! i have plans! lots of plans for better ships! better powerplants! better hospitals! better plowing machines! better everything!"
  107. [2015-07-01 15:17:30] * Noble_Heart was, thankfully, both quite hardy and wearing armor from the Crystal Empire. The knightly alicorn's body armor resounds with a 'clang, clang' as the two bullets hit, with thankfully greatly reduced force. She still doesn't seem happy to have been shot, however, choosing to strike back against the drone with the large sword fashioned from a lamp post.
  108. [2015-07-01 15:25:57] <Mare-Do-Well> 3One of the zebra translators points to Get_Lost's schematics, asking the other is Roam is ready to defend against fleets like those. Especially after having lost the Leviathan.
  109. [2015-07-01 15:26:47] * Get_Lost sighs again "look! mo! equestria has... different airships! i'm showibbg YOU how YOU should improve yours!"
  110. [2015-07-01 15:27:35] * Get_Lost groans and tosses everything in the legs of a random zebra "really! you look just like kifs wanting to rumble and nothing else! grow a bit!"
  111. [2015-07-01 15:31:46] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The /Skullcrusher/ is a large and quite impressive pirate airship...

  114. [2015-07-01 15:34:46] * CopyCat lands on the /Skullcrusher/ and sets Mitzi and Bookwright down on either side of her. "We have arrived," she announces to everyone nearby.

  116. [2015-07-01 15:35:38] * Bookwright swallows a chuckle at Mitzi's floppage.

[2015-07-01 15:41:35] <Mare-Do-Well> 3While the two translators seem only interested in their discussion and what Get_Lost's schematics could mean in terms of Equestrian threat, one of the other stripeless humbly reaches out and scoops up the schematics. She begins pouring over them with interest.
  118. [2015-07-01 15:42:56] * mimezinga using parlay, get explains to interested pony the principles of the thing "and really, if you could pack power in a better way, we could achieve A LOT more than this"
  119. [2015-07-01 15:43:43] <Mare-Do-Well> 3On the /Skullcrusher/ the zebra pirate captains are already gathered around a table, arguing heatedly. A dozen zebras, all dressed in regalia that seems to be trying to out-fancy and/or out-intimidate the other outfits in the room. Big, impressive hats abound.
  120. [2015-07-01 15:44:31] * Shatara observes the unstripeypones carefully.
  121. [2015-07-01 15:45:46] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Naturally, the entire argument is in zebra.
  122. [2015-07-01 15:46:43] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana waves to CopyCat, Mitzi and Bookwright from the sidelines. The Captain of the /Cutless/ is amongst those arguing heatedly.
  123. [2015-07-01 15:47:23] * Bookwright "Wow, look at the brocade convention. There's enough golden braid over there to strangle a... a... large, hard-to-strangle-thing."
  124. [2015-07-01 15:48:08] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The stripeless -- a member of the engineering crew for the Leviathan -- nods at Get_Lost's explanations, and begins tentatively asking technical questions.
  125. [2015-07-01 15:48:11] * Mitzi stands up, wobbling a bit on the sitll unfamiliar flying ships, pracing herself wit ha paw
  126. [2015-07-01 15:48:57] * CopyCat meets up with Golden_Dream and Mwana before /strutting/ into the conference room. The other captains could bighat all they wanted. /She/ had the wings and horn of an Equestrian Princess.
  127. [2015-07-01 15:51:52] * mimezinga happily replies! finally ONE pony interested in her stuff! this must be magic! this is the first time she starts talking about death contraptions and doomsday devices and a pony doesnt' tell her to get lost! she feels at home
  128. [2015-07-01 15:56:21] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The stripeless is, in fact, totally enthralled by Get Lost's technological genius. She seems to quickly stray away from any arcano-tech discussion, focusing on how to mechanically craft better engines and death traps.

  133. [2015-07-01 16:03:50] * CopyCat fixes the assembled zebra with a look that more befitted an Empress than a captain. "We are here," she says cooly.

  135. [2015-07-01 16:10:46] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The Vespertillo Captain smiles suavely, raises a hoof, and invites CopyCat to the table. "Navicularius Noble Heart!" he says in an accent that sounds exotic even for the zebra lands.
  136. [2015-07-01 16:12:11] <Mare-Do-Well> 6The drone crumples under Noble_Heart's swing, the lamp-post sword doing catastrophic damage to the relatively frail machine.
  137. [2015-07-01 16:12:50] <Mare-Do-Well> 6Now, it lies at her hooves, a sparking mess of metal. The red lights of its "eyes" dim and die.
  138. [2015-07-01 16:14:21] * Noble_Heart frowns and lowers her head slightly to examine the wreckage. She was no master of mechanics, but she did know plenty about arcanotech and magical systems. "If there are drones, there must be a way for them to get in. And someone for them to signal. Be on your guard."
  139. [2015-07-01 16:14:40] * CopyCat 's eyes scan the room, looking for the captain of the /Cutlass/, then she joins the table.

  141. [2015-07-01 16:17:39] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The Captain of the /Cutlass/ nods in greetings to "Captain Noble_Heart".
  142. [2015-07-01 16:25:25] <Mare-Do-Well> 6The two have to wait at least an hour, but inevitably they come. Noble_Heart can hear voices in the twisty maze of the Catacombs, drawing closer.
  143. [2015-07-01 16:28:09] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The Vepertillo Captain smiles at CopyCat and speaks with the polite tone of a demand disguised as a request. Another of the zebras waiting nearby clears her throat and translates, "We are honored that you would join us, Captain Noble Heart of the /Rainbow Connection/. We are saddened to see the loss of your ship."
  144. [2015-07-01 16:29:21] * Noble_Heart makes a motion for Ditzy to be quiet... Briefly, before realizing whom she was motioning towards then briefly face-hoofing before moving towards the edge of the passage slightly and listening to the voices. She was no good at being stealthy, but she wanted to at least ascertain who it was that was after them before she made an action.
  145. [2015-07-01 16:29:44] <Mare-Do-Well> 3"We all hope you saved everything of value that you could. Crew and treasures alike." The Vespertillo Captain pauses moment out of decorum before continuing. "Now, could you please tell us: what happened to the Imperial's Leviathan?"
  146. [2015-07-01 16:33:33] * Mitzi holds her tongue for now, not wanting to admit right away that she had blown it up
  147. [2015-07-01 16:37:37] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The eyes of a dozen captains all turn to CopyCat.
