'Sup, doods!

The tournament started this past weekend. Running the broadcast was a DREAM! Automating so many of the things I would normally change in each broadcast made it so effort-free. I do need to remember to put on my potato streaming profile when I'm getting gameplay restreamed because my computer can't record that much at a time without stuttering. I saw the encoding errors, OBS. I always see them. Fortunately, the situation didn't seem to distract me as much as I thought it would. I was trying to commentate the other players' play along with my own along with playing well enough for a good seed. And I somehow ended up the 2 seed. Second only to yoschi because of course yoschi got the top times in every category. I tied one of them, though! I think I'm going to be working on Easy and V-Hard for the next session.

Today's (permanent) extra streaming goals:

Goal #2: catch up on SRC moderation. I've been neglecting it during my tournament prep. I should have time to catch up on all of it this week. My apologies to the handful of people whose speedruns have been in the queue. I have, like, four games that I, alone, moderate that get the occasional run submission: 10-Yard Fight, Animal Crossing: Puzzle League, Sort the Court!, and Winnie the Pooh's Home Run Derby. I promise to get to your runs soon!
Goal #5: script and record footage for my Puzzle League tutorial series. I have some scripts to touch up before feeling comfortable with moving on to recording gameplay. Maybe I do that part on stream? I still have not ruled that out. Then I will need to record my talking points and edit it all together. I definitely will NOT be able to do that on stream. I don't know if I can work on any of this during the tournament.
Goal #6: clean up my own stream layout. I am brainstorming how I want the final theming to be. I probably want to give people multiple options, maybe allow spending bits to change the look. I don't have anything written down yet. I don't expect to get to this anytime soon.


Not sure what I'll be refining on Friday at 7pm CST for tournament time, but our group will think of something!
