Celebrating 2 years on the job this week!

I'm really happy that I was able to find a job where I have a lot of freedoms and earn enough to support my hobbies in gaming and travelling. Next year I'll be in a higher vacation time bracket and hopefully will be attending more events in 2018!

I was pretty enthusiastic when I started but ofc had to hear naysayers online tell me I wouldn't enjoy doing development for long. When am I supposed to start hating it? Who knows, maybe they could be right, but it doesn't seem like that day is anywhere in sight.

I haven't streamed for 8 days. I have a good reason for it: I've been working on a C# project for a friend over the last 2 months, and I buckled down and finished a test build. I also had 4 other personal projects that I'd been putting off for a long time, and decided to retain my momentum and keep going until all 5 of them are done. 2 of these projects required me to learn a new programming language, which was a challenge but I'm happy with the results. The final project for me to finish is 1 of 2 new bots for my twitch chat. The shitpost bot is completed, the second bot will handle chatters' guesses for things like booster hill and minecart predictions. I don't know what I'm going to do with chatters' scores yet, though. I expect to have this done by Thursday, so speedruns are coming back soon!

And they better be because I'm doing SML2 and SMRPG this weekend in GFA8 and SNES Superstars, respectively. Need some time to prepare those, but pretty excited for both. I'll post stream details for these later during the week.

But I'm taking a break tonight to watch anime with Sean. Monday has become my favourite night of the week.
