  1. [19:21] {NARRATION} Taiga and Niklaus embarked upon their task: in order to take down the cult once and for all, which was led by that horrible Vampire with an even worse name: Tir Vaanegh. They arrive at where the Cult organizes itself and most importantly, where the Vampire himself stays. It's a mausoleum, yes. Because not only is this Vampire a degenerate, but he also has no sense of taste.
  2.
  3. Thankfully however, there are no guards, for Taiga and Niklaus are both already in disguises - just simple black robes.
  4.
  5. The entrance is a short hall, with statues and sealed stone coffins on either side, like a normal mausoleum, and towards the end of the hall are the stairs leading down. The entrance itself is well lit, with torches. The stairs leading down at first have a few sparse torches here and there, but as they descend further and further down, it grows darker and darker, and the party can tell they're underground as the perfectly cut stone turns to pure earth and roots.
  6.
  7. --- sneaky sneaky sneaky into the inner chambers. Convince a cultist that yes we ARE in the right place and yes we WOULD like to speak with your manager. Skulk through a few torture chambers, choke down the growing urge to slaughter the people kidnapping and sacrificing children. eventually came to a storage room! Niklaus rolls a nat 20 on what to find. ---
  8.
  9. [20:34] {NARRATION} Niklaus finds, upon going through a few crates and barrels, 1 piece of Nyeshk and a key.
  10.
  11. Taiga on the other hand, finds a hefty stack of mythril (approximately 8 pieces)!
  12.
  13. Success. Screams and cries cut through their happiness at finding some nice things once more. One thing Taiga may not have realized previously was the stairs they had come down from, descended further.
  14.
  15. --- Eventually descend down further. No idea where the key goes. Hey! There's some big double doors. Try it in there. Surely it can't be anything TOO bad considering all the other shit we've seen already. ---
  16.
  17. [21:04] Niklaus tries the key. Fuck it, he'll do whatever. Don't blame him if he goes a little bit batshit later, though.
  18. (Niklaus Rowan)
  19. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  20.
  21. [21:06] {NARRATION} As Niklaus tries the key, the tumbler turns with a great slowness; clearly these doors were meant to be open by a Vampire, one who had the physical strength behind them. But Niklaus was strong in his own right, and soon enough, one side of the double doors opens...
  22.
  23. And sitting, reading under a torch, was clearly a Vampire. They could tell it was him from the way he carried himself, the deathly pallor of his skin, and most importantly of all - those red eyes.
  24.
  25. The eyes that immediately jump up to stare at the duo quietly. The book slams shut, and slowly, Tir stands up to his full height. It's incredibly jarring, to say the least.
  26. [21:06] Niklaus Rowan whispers: Oh no.
  27. [21:06] Taiga Rowan whispers: ...Alright fuck.
  28.
  29. ---ensuing vampire battle---
  30.
  31. [21:50] Alright. He was going to have to lay in his bed now that he had made it, huh? There's a tense silence between them that lasts for a few heart wrenching moments. There was nothing in between him and the Vampire now. They were alone in the room... no? He certainly didn't hear anyone else on the way in here. Perhaps, then... this was their chance to take him by surprise?
  32.
  33. ...WELL. Taiga swallows his pride. All the careful planning. There were some times in life that, when opportunity stuck, one had to simply take like by the horns and wrestle it into submission. To grab onto what chance they had and run with it as far as it could take them. That chance was right here and right now. Any fleeting lie he could think of would be snuffed out the moment the Vampire noticed that these were two magi standing in front of him anyway. Not the rank and file fodder that filled his halls.
  34.
  35. He opens his eyes.
  36.
  37. "I hated wearing these robes." In a smooth motion, Taiga latches a hand to the corner of the garment and throws them forward at the Vampire! It would prove to be terribly ineffective at actually impeding Tir in any meaningful capacity, of course, but Taiga didn't need it to anyway. With a flourish and a twirl, Taiga... throws his blade directly up and into the air, out of his hands entirely.
  38.
  39. He runs right up to the Vampire.
  40.
  41. ...And tries to punch it in the face.
  42.
  43. ...Or at least that's what it would seem like to Tir. The moment before Taiga's fist explodes forward, Taiga would grasp onto the hilt of a blade that wasn't even there yet. A shimmering green light pushing back against the darkness of the cave as the massive arcanium weapon he had just thrown into the air reforms itself anew right in his hands. But this wasn't a magical replica by any means, it was the very same weapon. Teleported, still twirling, into his hands. The momentum combines, and Taiga's strike comes blindingly fast towards the Vampire's neck!
  44.
  45. It was wishful thinking, to think that this would be all that was required to decapitate and end the fight outright. But at the very least, Taiga tried to leverage their surprise as far as it would take them in gaining an early advantage against the bloodthirsty beast.
  46. (Taiga Rowan)
  47.
  48. [22:04] As Taiga opens his eyes and comments about the robes, the Vampire was already calculating what would happen. As the Samurai turned Damphir aimed to charge right up to Tir and punch him in the face only to teleport his sword directly back into his hands, the Vampire leaned backwards. The twirling blade, while quite a surprise, does cut his neck; and blood flows freely for only a few seconds before it heals.
  49.
  50. It wasn't a particularly deep wound, and Tir for his part didn't seem too worried about it, all things considered. Shadows gathered around his feet, blackened dust and smoke rising upwards directly between Taiga and himself, even momentarily clouding Taiga's face. For all of the Vampires he had spent his time around, he'd recognize this; the Vampire lifted upwards into the air, laughing suddenly.
  51.
  52. "You think to test ME?!" He screamed out in laughter, "A fetid halfing and a useless Dragon?! You have no idea what you've gotten yourselves into, but you'll make fine additions to my lovely family!"
  53.
  54. Blood coalesced around his form, as the temperature within the room itself lowered by a large margin.
  55. (Tir Vaanegh)
  56.
  57.
  58. [22:07] ...Well.
  59.
  60. The fact that he didn't particularly become phased by the likes of temperature shifts was something he could be thankful for in the moment. "...Oh."
  61.
  62. Useless dragon?
  63.
  64. Well, with that, the man would suddenly find the very blood within him twisting in agonizing ways as he tilted his head.
  65.
  66. "Suffer, then."
  67.
  68. The statement is plain and simple as blood began to twist around Niklaus' own form-- putrid, years old. From enemies of his Drakanite nature above all else.
  69.
  70. He was not a happy man in the slightest.
  71. (Niklaus Rowan)
  72.
  73. --- CHANCE OF DEATH BATTLE!!! FINAL SCORE IS 3-2 IN OUR FAVOR. ROLLS: NIKLAUS - 3 TAIGA - 6 ---
  74.
  75. [22:37] {NARRATION} Niklaus - 12 day temp
  76. Taiga - 4 day temp
  77.
  78. [22:56] Well, they had to fight against the tremendous might here before all else. With that in mind, he would flood this chasm with entirely too much water, and the blood would weave in and out of his drastic creation of water to slow. It was a slog, and this vampire? He was more resilient than Neo had been in his prime, so it caused him a bit of confusion as he spun around the room.
  79.
  80. The blood would exist around him, and then he'd abruptly find the slash that would crash into his side. A choke would come from him as he finds the way that his body would begin to slog through the motions. Staggering a bit, he would find himself paling a bit as he felt his water rejecting this illness harshly.
  81.
  82. Sweat clings to his features all the while as he gives a look around the cold room. With this illness attacking him, he'd find the means of the frost clinging to his skin all the while.
  83.
  84. "Taiga, just... just finish it."
  85.
  86. Was he losing his other hand? Was he in Glacier's Birth again? There was a distance to his features as the water only raged within the room. Taiga was spared the agony of this frostbite and disease, but...
  87.
  88. That meant he had to finish this as the tendrils of water barely managed to restrain Tir while Niklaus tried to contend with the idea of losing both of his hands.
  89.
  90. Panic certainly didn't look good on the Rowan.
  91. (Niklaus Rowan)
  92. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  93.
  94. [23:17] The battle is entirely all too fierce. Vampires were a monster that could only be faced by the most powerful of Magi, and here it took the combined might of two of the most powerful and veteran fighters of the generation to stand a chance against this one. All that time cowering away in its hole had left plenty of chances to hone and refine the craft of its disciplines. But Taiga was seasoned at fighting Vampires, more so than many of the supposed Vampire 'hunters' who had come and gone in times passed, he practically grew up around them. Between his father and Neo, the tendencies he had noticed lay clear in Tir's fighting style as well.
  95.
  96. Not that it didn't make it scary as hell. At one point his life's ambition was to be the one to finally defeat Neo Invidia in combat, and even after all that he had accomplished he hadn't even come close. Were it not for Niklaus, he would've been a blood stain on the floor.
  97.
  98. It's a blur. Taiga dashing ahead at his full strength and overwhelming Tir with blow after blow of his blade. Desperately tapping into everything he had learned thus far regarding his redirection style - the blade in his hand would often shimmer out of existence for split seconds before appearing close by. Either hurtling forward like a guided missile, or being quickly snatched out of the air by Taiga for usage in a flourishing strike.
  99.
  100. The heated battle causes the inner sanctum to rumble and quake, no doubt alerting nearly everyone else in the cultists sanctuary that something was afoot. A battle between two magi and a vampire just wasn't a quiet affair.
  101.
  102. It's when Niklaus get's hurt that it goes a step too far.
  103.
  104. "Grrraaaah!!!" A howl erupts from deep within him, boiling anger spilling over as the beast inside of him clutches deep at hisheart. Tir was on his last legs - and Niklaus was damn near about to die if Taiga didn't get there NOW. But that was no problem for a frenzied Dhampir, not at all.
  105.
  106. Taiga THROWS his blade forward, Wind rips as it shoots forward, aiming right for Tir's chest. Taiga warps directly behind the still flying blade - and with a twirl, SLAMS his foot into the hilt! The speed increases twofold, and Tir has barely any chance to react before he finds himself staked through the chest and pinned to the walls of his own sanctum.
  107.
  108. That wasn't enough.
  109.
  110. Taiga's ferocity carries him a step further. "And how does it feel, BEAST?! To be HUNTED! To be helpless!" An unsettling crack echoes through the halls - not of the tortured children, but of the maestro's ribs. Taiga's hands prying and cracking them apart, the Vampires regeneration fighting against him as hard as it could. But he had a plan for this. A tool to ensure a final death.
  111.
  112. He pulls away for a split second, reaching onto his belt to pull out his Blood Stone. A hungry, ravenous bloodgem that was even more hungry for blood than Taiga. With a clawed hand he JAMS it right into the wound, pushing it through the bloody guts of the disemboweled Vampire and bringing that bloodstone right up against it's fetid, unbeating heart.
  113.
  114. Tir would be drained from the inside. Everything pooling towards Taiga's bloodstone as it aimed to consumed every drop of energy and blood that bastard had left in him.
  115. (Taiga Rowan)
  116.
  117. It had been a whirlwind of a fight; ice and blood congealing and left frozen upon the floor, Niklaus' pure mastery of water leaving the Vampire drenched in water and the poor floors of his sanctum a muddy dirty mess. In fact, the entire room was. Any paintings Tir had hung up had come down due to the water infiltrating the dirt, and bringing them down. It was a sad sight to see; the only saving grace and why the others hadn't come to check was the thick earthen walls between each room and the fact all of the Cultists knew that to bother their Master meant certain, grisly death.
  118.
  119. But Niklaus and Taiga had managed a heavy task, somehow finding their way face to face with Tir Vaanegh himself. Taiga dashing full speed through the room was only matched by the Vampire appearing out of seemingly thin air at a whim occasionally, matching the Damphir's speed and even sometimes completely outdoing it. The Vampire however seemed to home in on Niklaus, going after the Drakanite every chance he got and well... It just seemed to anger Taiga to no end.
  120.
  121. As the blade was thrown towards him, he offered a knowing smile. But while he had fully expected some sort of teleportation trick, he hadn't exactly predicted how it would go down. As Taiga's foot slams into the hilt of the blade, he's sent flying back along with it, staked through his chest against the earthen walls.
  122.
  123. He's bleeding, but while he's bleeding, the simple stab wound was healing itself; over and over. He struggled, and there escaped from him a horrid laughter manifesting from his gut. He found the entire thing too funny to take serious; even as Taiga screamed about being hunted. It was simply too funny. But that was before Taiga, by his bare hands, proceeds to actually crack and pry his ribs apart. That was a pain he had never experienced, and as they were painfully opened up, he unleashed his own scream of agony.
  124.
  125. But even then, the pain and the injury was healing; slowly, so slowly, due in part to the Lighthouse's effect.
  126.
  127. The introduction of the Blood Stone just quickened the ordeal, as the Damphir slammed directly into the chest cavity of the defeated Vampire. The escaping blood, instead of working to heal itself, was instead forced into the hungry and awaiting gem. The gem's coloration turned brighter, pulsing with blood with every passing second. Thankfully for Tir Vaanegh, it was a quick process, but still incredibly painful.
  128.
  129. A fitting end for a torturous monster.
  130. (Tir Vaanegh)
  131.
  132. --- Everyone takes a breather! Taiga decides that they're saving all the trapped kids and KILLING THE HECK out of the rest of the cultists. These guys have done way too many messed up things to get out of here with their lives! Any one of them would just continue this hellish lifestyle if cut free.
  133.
  134. We work our way back up, going to the rooms that had captured kids and healing/freeing them. Cultists come down to engage us! ---
  135.
  136. "...I'm putting you through the worst this 'job' has to offer, Klaus." Taiga growls. "But this is why I do it. To save the one's that need it more than anyone else. To find the worst corners of life imaginable and bring it back out to the daylight. … It hurts me to ask this much of you." Taiga takes a deep, steadying breath. His blade already drawn the moment he hears the footsteps coming for them. He doesn't even bother looking at the children.
  137.
  138. It wouldn't matter if they were healed, if their captors were still here to steal them away into the night.
  139.
  140. "But we have to fight. Get out of here. We have to meet them first, before they can lay their hands on these kids again." With that, Taiga moves. Racing forward up the stairs to meet the voices that were coming towards them. Whoever was coming to stop them was going to fall to his blade. That much was settled in his mind from the start.
  141. (Taiga Rowan)
  142.
  143.
  144.
  145. Taiga rushes out into the hallway, towards the voices and the footfalls. And he meets...
  146.
  147. The Thrall from before. Bright eyes stare at him, taking him in for what he was; or at least, what she assumed him to be. A complete Vampire, so unlike herself. At first, she's tempted to let him past, but then she realizes something is amiss, as a gaggle of children stand at the other end of the hall after Niklaus exits.
  148.
  149. Something was wrong, and she was going to stop them.
  150.
  151. "INTRUDERS!" She shouted, "YOU HARMED MY MASTER?! MY FATHER?!"
  152.
  153. There were no further words. Darkened fire spread up her form; they would have to fight to continue on.
  154.
  155. -- We 2 round a very spooky shadowflame dark guardian EC --
  156.
  157. Taiga is brutal, merciless. The moment he catches sight of this woman - the very same one he had seen torturing a child with a whip earlier, he doesn't even leave her the chance to speak. He rushes forward, giving her the same greeting card that Tir himself had received. A sword hurtling directly for her chest.
  158.
  159. It's an explosive battle, all said and done in less than a minute of actual combat. The tight corridors of the Cults sanctuary being turned against them now as there was absolutely no where for the Thrall to run to now. The only option she had was to be chased out into the daylight. No retreat.
  160.
  161. Taiga leaps and bounds across flaming embers, striking wildly at her again and again with unpredictable teleporting strikes! The weapon in her hand is ripped out from her grasp, Taiga teleporting the staff away the moment he gets ahold of it to leave her completely defenseless aside from her bare fists.
  162.
  163. The final strike comes, Taiga teleporting his own weapon back into his hands to preform a final sweeping strike! Blood sprays - but for the second time now in these dark halls, it would not be the blood of an innocent. But rather those that had tormented them. The Thrall is left gutted and bleeding, far too injured to heal her wounds. Taiga races forward, leaving her behind to bleed to death.
  164.
  165. "Hurry!" he barks back at Niklaus - and the gaggle of children who had just witnessed their captors murder.
  166. (Taiga Rowan)
  167.
  168. --we get the fuck out go home and sleep god this event was long--
  169.
  170. LOOC - Thrall: (roll a.......)

  179.
