  31.
  32. JERRY COVEY: Here's the message I tried to send you:
  33.
  34. JERRY COVEY: I ported my home phone number, xxx-xxx-xxxx, from Verizon
  35. to T-Mobile. I didn't want to change anything about my home phone
  36. service. I just wanted to go on using my phone with a new number. I was
  37. told I had to call Verizon after the port was finished, and request a
  38. new number. I just spent over an hour on the phone with Francisco,
  39. mostly listening to him say "Just a moment...", then we were
  40. disconnected while we were in the middle of third-party verification of
  41. my long-distance service. That was twenty minutes ago, but I haven't had
  42. a call back from him.
  43.
  44. He told me my new number would be xxx-xxx-xxxx and that my order number
  45. was $number. Please let me know the status of my order and whether you
  46. need anything further from me. It really, really shouldn't be this hard
  47. to just continue service after porting a number out. I can be reached at
  48. x@y.com or xxx-xxx-xxxx.
  49.
  50. Sincerely,
  51. Jerry Covey
  52.
  53. JERRY COVEY: I have DSL, not FIOS.
  54.
  55. Kishia: Our Verizon High Speed Internet Technical Support Team is best
  56. equipped to help resolve your issue. Please hold while I now connect you
  57. with a High Speed Internet click-to-chat support specialist. The Verizon
  58. High Speed Internet Technical Support telephone number is (800) 567-6789

  117.
  118. JERRY COVEY(16:14:04): No, what does this have to do with restoring my
  119. phone service?
  120.
  121. Enamul(16:15:07): Please let me know are you trying to restore phone
  122. services?
  123.
  124. JERRY COVEY(16:15:45): Did you read my request at the beginning of this
  125. chat with Kishia?
  126.
  127. Enamul(16:16:21): No I just went through your question.
  128.
  129. Enamul(16:16:36): This was the question:Your email contact form says it
  130. can't send my message to you because it contains "Special Characters",
  131. whatever that means.
  132.
  133. JERRY COVEY(16:17:02): Here's another copy of what I pasted at the
  134. beginning of this chat session:
  135.
  136. JERRY COVEY(16:17:44): I ported my home phone number, xxx-xxx-xxxx, from
  137. Verizon to T-Mobile. I didn't want to change anything about my home

  139. I was told I had to call Verizon after the port was finished, and
  140. request a new number. I just spent over an hour on the phone with
  141. Francisco, mostly listening to him say "Just a moment", then we were

  143. my long-distance service.
  144.
  145. JERRY COVEY(16:18:00): That was twenty minutes ago, but I haven't had a
  146. call back from him.
  147.
  148. He told me my new number would be xxx-xxx-xxxx and that my order number
  149. was $number. Please let me know the status of my order and whether
  150. you need anything further from me. It really, really shouldn't be this
  151. hard to just continue service after porting a number out. I can be
