  59. - Become mayor then introduce yourself to all 5 starting villagers
  60. - Redeem 4 MEOW coupons then look at new tasks to unlock daily tasks. You do not need to achieve these, but overtime you'll likely complete random daily tasks to get tons of MEOW Coupons at once later on (VERY IMPORTANT: Make sure you click on the TPC tab for the first time to unlock the later tasks)

  157. - Save & Quit
  158.
  159. ***SWITCH GAMES***
  160.
  161. - Start at least 2 games on JP versions and place house right next to main street, while also having re-tail close to be able to check turnips.
  162. - Map, have re-tail as close to train station as possible
  163. - Go through intros, place your house as close to main street as possible, since you will be going there a lot on these games
  164. - Grind for a good turnip price at re-tail:
  165.
  166. Go to Monday at 11:59AM and check Re-Tail for turnips for the morning price, then wait for 12PM to check the afternoon price
  167.
  168. If the price increases, NO decreasing pattern
  169. If the price increases right at the start of the week (1st afternoon price), RANDOM pattern
  170. If the price decreases right after increasing, RANDOM pattern
  171. If the price increases twice in a row, one of the SPIKE patterns
  172. LARGE Spike is 3rd spike above 300 bells, SMALL Spike is 3rd spike close to 200, next price is highest for that
  173. If the price doesn't increase by Thursday afternoon, DECREASING pattern
  174.
  175. NOTE: You can get your morning price back for the same day if you TT back an hour to morning
  176. EXAMPLE: I have a 305 spike in the morning, then afternoon goes down to 155. I can TT back to morning on the same day to get the 305 price back.
  177.
  178. ***SWITCH GAMES***
  179.
  180. ***May 28th, 2017 9am***
  181.
  182. - Receive ABD in the mail then put it in your house as well as the storage item from re-tail
  183. - Buy as many turnips as you can from Joan; buy an extra 40 turnips then ungroup them to have 4 sets of turnips for them to spoil later for flies/ants
  184. - Open gates on 2nd game then let 1st game come over and sell the turnips
  185. - End the session then deposit bells into your bank account
  186. - Do this until you have around 10,000,000 bells (aka when you're able to do your first full set of turnips)
  187.
  188. SOME NOTES:
  189.
  190. It takes around 2 million bells to buy a full thing of turnips for all storage slots + inventory, give or take, you'll know how much you can carry with your turnip price
  191.
  192. Keep 99k bell bags in about 2 pages of storage, might need about 1 or 2 more 99k bells than that, then put the rest in your ABD
  193.
  194. MAKE SURE you deposit bells into the ABD in your house/get bells out of storage, it will save a lot of time
  195.
  196. When you buy turnips, start out with 2 99k bell bags (0 in wallet) then buy 1,600 turnips. After that take out 2 more 99k bell bags and buy another 1,600 turnips. Do this until your bell amount after the 1,600 turnips is enough to buy another batch of 1,600 turnips with just 1 99k bell bag.
  197.
  198. Example: 1,600 turnips cost 166,500 bells; You'll have 2 99k bell bags in order to buy that amount until you have at least around 67k or more bells in your wallet + the 1 99k bell bag so that adds up to the amount you can buy 1,600 turnips with. You do this because if you have too many bell bags in your inventory Joan will not let you buy the desired amount
  199.
  200. ***Same day***
  201.
  202. - Scan amiibo, talk to villagers, catch bugs/fish, find fossils (Blathers 5/14)
  203. - Perfect fruit tree is fully grown, take the fruit and plant 3 more trees
  204. - Catalog at Nookling Junction/Able Sisters (buy out Nookling Juction)
  205. - Go to the island and catch the following fish (if you didn't find these beforehand):
  206.
  207. Giant Trevally
  208. Blue Marlin
  209.
  210. - Donate the new fish to the museum
  211. - Check approval rating, should be at 100%. If not, get it there
  212. - Open your gates on main then have the 2 JP games visit, give them all each 500k bells then end session
  213. - Upgrade one of the shops on JP to T&T Mart then go to October, November (before Harvest Festival), or December (before Toy Day) and buy at least 1 holiday themed item for around 5k bells. Then open your gates and have the JP game give you the item.
  214. -- While you do that, setup 2nd JP game to open gate and grind town visits until above task is completed

  252.

  254.
  255. - Build: Dream Suite, Museum 2F (once you talk to blathers on 14 different days and donate at least 1 thing from each category in the museum), The Roost (a week after Museum 2F is opened)
  256. - Build at least 10 PWPs in your town. This should grant you perfect town. To be safe you can go 1 day at a time or a few days to pluck weeds but getting the golden watering can should be fine enough after 2 weeks.
  257. - Continue buying the 1 sapling/axes until you reach around 10 axes
  258. - Plant about 10-12 perfect fruit trees, then leave around 5 normal fruit trees and a few normal trees. Leave some stumps open as well. Get rid of the rest of the stumps. Leave the trees in separate areas only to still have a lot of open space in the town
  259. - Whenever you get Katrina, take the fortune to go towards Katrina's shop. Note that you can not have visitors come over and have it count towards Katrina's shop. It has to be people living ONLY in your town.
  260. - ALWAYS look for fossils since you'll need 15 fossils donated to get the silver shovel unlocked in the Museum 2F which is very helpful for gem rocks
  261. - ALWAYS do other tasks such as: scanning amiibo, cataloging, catching any free bugs/fish you find
  262. - Start another character around this time (do it after Golden Watering Can) to be useful in case you get 2 real Redd artwork/Halloween
  263. -- Start a 3rd character if you want. You'll want at least 3 characters to get the fishing tourney/bug off trophies easier
  264. - Also pay off debts until you get secret storeroom. It's for sure worth getting early (also expanding house a bit is nice but don't go below around 2 million bells so you can buy more turnips later)
  265. - Whenever it's Sunday buy about 40 turnips from Joan then ungroup them into 4 sets of turnips to have 4 spoiled turnips later on for flies/ants.
  266.
  267. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  268.
  269. - Keep TTing one day at a time until you get the Nookling Juction closing message then go forwards 2 days
  270. - T&T Mart Opens (so does Kicks assuming you've been cataloging at Able Sisters), obtain a megaphone/slingshot asap
  271. - Catalog T&T Mart then order the holiday themed item over and over until you spend 25k bells
  272. - Somewhere around this time you will also unlock Club LOL (each day give Dr. Shrunk any fruit to unlock an emote, do this 40 times to get all the emotes)
  273. - TT forwards 10 days then go 1 day at a time until you get T&T Mart closing message (Shampoodle should also unlock at this point)
  274. - Super T&T Opens
  275. - Catalog Super T&T then order the holiday themed item over and over until you spend 50k bells
  276. - TT forwards 21 days then go 1 day at a time until you get Super T&T closing message
  277. - T.I.Y opens
  278. - Catalog T.I.Y (buy the 2 bushes then place them diagonal to a rock, do this for all rocks to make gem/money rocks faster to check) then order the holiday themed item over and over until you spend 100k bells (you don't really need to spend that many bells since Gracie will take at least 8 days total going back and forth)
  279. - TT forwards 30 days then go 1 day at a time until you find Gracie
  280. - Do Gracie's fashion check then go forwards 1 day then backwards 1 day. You will get Gracie again. Do this 4 times to get T&T Emporium
  281.
  282. - Once you have unlocked all the Main Street Shops, the Museum 2F, and The Roost, and chopped down most trees along with obtaining the Golden Watering Can, continue on
  283.
  284. Remember going forward to get emotes, buy sapling/fertizler for golden axe/shovel

  547.
  548.
  549. The following things are IMPORTANT tasks:
  550.
  551. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  552.
  553. #1: Obtain 100,000,000 bells (TIME ESTIMATE FOR THIS BADGE: 7-8 hours)
  554.
  555. - Go to September 6th at 6am. With your megaphone you can call out Joan easily to find her. Your game with the turnip spike should still be set to the same date, go there and repeat the buying and selling process of turnips until you reach 100,000,000 bells.
  556.
  557. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  558.
  559. #2: Desert Island Escape (TIME ESTIMATE TO COMPLETE DESERT ISLAND ESCAPE: 12 hours)
  560.
  561. - Scan an amiibo that has the Wii U Console (if you haven't gotten one already from fortune cookies) then play Desert Island Escape to get all items from it
  562. - Do pause strats to pretty much get rid of most RNG. When you unpause and mash A, the wheel will spin about 1/3 to the next spot from the unpause. Mashing faster or slower will differ that distance so keep that in mind as well
  563. - Tool priority is fishing rod, slingshot, net, shovel for beginner. For Intermediate and Advanced, do slingshot before fishing rod
  564. - At some point a net will be better to get than the fishing rod (probably about halfway through Intermediate) since they will be far more beehives than fishing spots and the net pretty much guarantees you get 5 portions of beehive assuming you do the pause strats correctly
  565. - Also one more note, you'll get around 60 MEOW Coupons for doing all of Desert Island Escape

  655. #4: 5,000 Island Medals (TIME ESTIMATE FOR THIS BADGE: 18 hours)
  656.
  657. - Check the island until you find the Scavenger Hunt Tour. Grind that until 5,000 island medals
  658. - TIP: You can screenshot the list of items you're looking for (if you know about TownCap that is very useful for this. Look in the ACGC speedrun.com resources to find it) so you don't have to look back at the list over and over
  659. - Small note in case you were wondering, the Bell Boom ordinance does NOT increase the amount of medals you get from tours sadly. Only the prices of the items in the shop
  660. - Also start checking the island daily to find all the island items: (these items are items you can ONLY obtain from the island, others you can get from RVs)
  661.
  662. Sets:

  690.
  691. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  692.
  693. #5: Get villagers
  694.
  695. - Kick out any villagers that are still not in the 1 "area" that you made in the beginning of the run. Have at least 1 of each personality and 10 villagers.
  696. - NOTE: There's 3 (4 as a "bonus") villagers you must scan to get certain items from their house, the villagers are:
  697.
  698. Mitzi - Ukulele
  699. Medli - Rice-Plant Bed
  700. Chadder - Whirlpool Bath
  701. Shep - Bottled Ship (you don't need to get the bottled ship for 100% because the process of getting it is really dumb/convoluted, here's how I got it)
  702.
  703. 1. Shep sells the record player in his house to re-tail which replaces it with the bottled ship
  704. 2. You have to get in a situation where he's in his house and he asks to replace the bottled ship with something else
  705. 3. You complete the task while he's in his house still and the reward you get is the item that was previously there, which is the bottled ship
  706.
  707. And honestly that is just way too dumb to get 1 item. For a run that is 700 hours long, this is just so complex/unnecessary so it's not needed for 100%. But if you want, you can try to go for it anyway.
  708.
  709. The other 3 items, Ukulele, Rice-Plant Bed, and Whirlpool Bath, are all obtainable from buying it off of them in the villager house visit favor which is pretty simple.
  710.
  711.
  712.
  713. - When you kick out a villager with amiibo, the villager goes into boxes right away then the next day a plot of land is chosen at random. Do plot resetting with a new character until it moves into that one "area" (you'll have to change the date 1 day forwards on the system clock btw since that's the only way of going forwards without loading a character first)
  714. - Keep at least 2 extra characters to make fishing tourney/bug off trophies easier to get
  715. - Talk to all your villagers each day and write them letters about every 2 days with the following:
  716.
  717. Friend
  718. present
  719. like
  720. thanks.
  721.
  722. - Attach a perfect fruit for the best results (also will get you the 200 letter writing badge)
  723.
  724.
  725. NOTE: There's 2 different ways to grind PWPs. You can either sit in the ocean or you can fish. I think fishing might be better since it will cut down many hours of fishing later on. The drawback however is you'll get way less time to grind other game's shops. However I decided to do town visitors while grinding other games. Although you'll need a lot of 3DS's to make it work. You can read my startegy for the first "badge grind" process here: https://pastebin.com/73LrgG6m
  726.
  727. I estimate that I'll get around 4,000+ fish doing this. So I'll either get close to the 5,000 fish badge or I might even get 5,000 fish before the end of PWPs. Either way I'll cut down hours of grinding later on at the cost of not being able to check other game's shops as much.
  728.
  729. If you want a more simple way of doing it, I highly recommend doing the sitting in the ocean strat while grinding other games. That gives you way more time to grind other games.
  730.
  731.
  732. After sending letters to villagers/talking to them for about 2 weeks [when you reach the beginning of October], start grinding PWPs. When you sit in the ocean, grind other JP game's shops and keep all items that you think are "new" (always buy the wallpaper, flooring, & stationery) and put them in their dresser. Then once it's filled up (or whenever you feel you should catalog the items), have them come over and drop all the items for you to catalog. You can only get 1 PWP request per day, so get 1 PWP everyday while grinding JP games on the side. Don't bother cataloging at your store since you'll be cataloging on the other games anyway. Still send letters to villagers (like once every few days) to maintain friendship level. Once you get all the PWPs from a certain villager, look below at the times when villagers are asleep to isolate that villager. If you're lucky, you can do this for a few villagers. Do NOT kick out any villagers though until you have ALL Nookling items/all the birthday items. (and 300 villager favors completed too)
  733.
  734. This is a list of times where you can NOT have certain villagers:
  735.
  736. 6:00AM: Normal ONLY (everyone else DEAD)
  737. 7:00AM-8:30AM: Normal, Jock, Peppy ONLY (Smug, Cranky, Uchi, Snooty, Lazy DEAD)
  738. 8:30AM-9:00AM: Normal, Jock, Peppy, Smug ONLY (Cranky, Uchi, Snooty, Lazy DEAD)
  739. 9:00AM-10:00AM: Normal, Jock, Peppy, Smug, Lazy, Snooty ONLY (Cranky & Uchi DEAD)
  740. 10:00AM-11:00AM: Everyone EXCEPT Uchi
  741.
  742. 11:00PM-12:00AM: Lazy DEAD (everyone else ACTIVE)
  743. 12:00AM-1:30AM: Lazy, Jock, Normal DEAD (Smug, Peppy, Uchi, Snooty, Cranky ACTIVE)
  744. 1:30AM-2:30AM: Lazy, Jock, Normal, Smug DEAD (Peppy, Uchi, Snooty, Cranky ACTIVE)
  745. 2:30AM-3:00AM: Lazy, Jock, Normal, Smug, Peppy DEAD (Uchi, Snooty, Cranky ACTIVE)
  746. 3:00AM-3:30AM: Snooty & Cranky ONLY
  747. 3:30AM-4:00AM: Cranky ONLY (everyone else DEAD)
  748.
  749. Also important note to put here, ALWAYS take the diving creatures you find when you're exiting/entering the ocean to get 1,000 diving creatures.
  750. ANOTHER important note, try to set up a refurbishing at re-tail before each PWP grind and if the PWP grind goes for 30+ mins set up another refurbish to get 200 refurbished items.
  751.
  752. Here's the list of things to do while you grind the other games:
  753.
  754. #1: Grind PWPs
  755. #2: Get 500 dream towns
  756. #3: Visit 500 towns (more like 470 or so since you will still need to visit some towns later on for Katie)
  757. #4: Continue on as normal to Toy Day then start kicking villagers out for PWPs grind 2
  758.
  759. On the other games, grind for these things:
  760.
  761. #1a: Buy out the wallpaper and flooring (assuming you don't know Japanese and you're using JP games) no matter what then take whatever free ones you end up getting
  762.
  763. #1b: When the list gets to around 5 walls/floors left, look up the prices of the walls/floors in moridb (this is still assuming you're using JP and can't read Japanese) then if the price matches in game choose the 2nd option to look at the wall/floor and if it matches the one you're looking for you can buy it (MAKE SURE YOU PLAY IN THE MORNING TIME SO YOU DON'T GET THE TIME SPECIAL IN THE EVEING WHICH HALFS THE PRICES!!!)
  764.
  765. #2: Buy out stationery until the list gets to around 3-4 left. At that point you can look at what the stationery is in the shop and match it with the stationery you need.
  766.
  767. #3: Take any furniture you think is new. Then at some point once you feel you have a lot of furniture, do a furniture catalog check and see how much you have left. If you're good at recognizing furniture you can search any furniture you think is new at that point and see if you got it. I believe it is more worth it to check if you need a piece of furniture rather than buying it since that's a lot of dropping and picking up you'll waste doing that.
  768.
  769. #4a: For Able Sisters, I recommend to start with bottoms each season (since those are likely going to be in a smaller list to easily look for). Autumn, Winter, Spring, Summer.
  770.
  771. #4b: After Bottoms, do the Shirts, again, one season at a time.
  772.
  773. #4c: After Shirts, dresses are likely the last thing. This should also net you all the "All" season shirts.
  774.
  775. #5: For hats, you should be able to find all of them pretty easily after some time. Same with umbrellas/accessories.
  776.
  777. #6: For Kicks, shoes/socks should be easily gotten assuming you have a good amount of different towns to use.
  778.
  779. #7: I would recommend going ahead and getting other items such as any holiday items you don't have yet, the countdown hats, etc. to make later on a bit easier
  780.
  781. These items are KEY items to get from JP games:
  782.
  783. Nooklings:
  784.
  785. Carp Banner (May 1 to 5)
  786. Ceramic Hot Pot
  787. Circle Banner
  788. Clay Furance
  789. Flashy-Flower Sign
  790. General's Fan
  791. General's Stool
  792. Hot Plate (Can be gotten from Zipper T. Bunny's RV)
  793. Kokeshi Doll
  794. Rice Cooker
  795. Shogi Piece
  796. Sushi Platter (Can be gotten from Chip's RV & Kapp'n's RV)
  797. Tokonoma (Can be gotten from Joan's RV)
  798.
  799. Labelle:
  800.
  801. Diver's Hood
  802. Headkerchief
  803. Kintaro Wig
  804. Ogre's Wig
  805. Stagehand Hat
  806. Topknot Wig
  807.
  808. #8: If you have completed Able Sisters/JP Nookling's, go to the island and get all the island items you need. I recommend making a new character and placing their house close to the island dock so it's faster. Pay off 2nd debt on that character to unlock the island. Note that even though there's only 2 main items instead of 3 because of the club tortimer application, what I noticed that every single time there's a rare item, it's always placed in the first slot of the island shop. Likely to prevent the rare item being eaten by the club tortimer application.
  809.
  810. #9: After island, I'd say to get Crazy Redd artwork completed.
  811.
  812. #10: At this point, you'll likely not have time to do this, but if you do, go to December 11th 5:59am to grind gyroids since it always snows at that time due to the "Winter Storm". Do this over and over until you're done with PWPs since you'll likely be close by that point.
  813.
  814. #11: Much later in "Late Game", you can use the other games to get Saharah walls/floors. If you're using JP games (which you're most likely are), you can use the Megaphone to call out Saharah in Japanese. It's not really that hard if you know how to say it in Japanese (It is pronouced "Ro-lan")
  815.
  816. JP events you need to go to:
  817.
  818. Talk to Isabelle on 9/8/2014 for Dango
  819. Talk to Isabelle on 8/15 for the Eggplant Cow/Cucumber Horse
  820. Talk to Isabelle on 7/7 for the Bamboo Grass
  821. Talk to Isabelle on 5/5 for the Newsprint Helmet
  822. Talk to Isabelle on 3/3 for the Rice Cake. Check Labelle's shop for Emperor's Cap & Girl's Day Updo
  823. Keep TTing between March 1-3 until you find both hats; Emperor's Cap & Girl's Day Updo
  824. Also look for Blossom Lantern & Hinaningyo at Nookling's
  825. Talk to Isabelle on 2/3 for Red (top option)/Blue (bottom option) Ogre Mask
  826. Talk to Isabelle on 12/31 for New Year's Noodles
  827. Go back to 8/15 to get other reward you didn't get
  828. Go back to 2/3 to get other reward you didn't get
  829.
  830.
  831. Note that if you have a villager with high friendship, they are more likely to give you new "Nookling" items or even Able Sister shirts. Things to look out for when doing villager favors:
  832.
  833. - When a villager asks for any fruit or your town's fruit, ALWAYS give them a perfect version of that fruit (likely it will be your town's fruit. Example: A villager asks me to get them a cherry, I give them a perfect cherry instead). The villager will pretty much always give you a new Nookling item. KEEP THIS IN MIND! At some point you'll probably have to catalog whatever you found on the other games quite often because of this as the list gets smaller and smaller.
  834.
  835. - You can take the "come visit my house" or "visit your house" request. Visiting a villager's house, whether it's right away or a specific time, is really easy. All you do is go in, talk to them once, then leave. That's all. It will still count as a favor. "Visit your house" is pretty easy to do. Just talk to them like 5 times when they come in, then go to each room in the house (make sure you can go to each room don't have anything blocking it) and talk to them once per room. Then when you get back to your main room after the left, top, right, upstairs, and downstairs, talk to them a few more times for good measure then about 15 seconds later they should leave.
  836.
  837. One weird note to make here is if the villager asks to visit your house at a specific time, they won't follow you to the left, top, and right rooms of your house. Only the upstairs and basement which is weird. You will still have to go to the other rooms regardless to have them leave on their own. Most likely a glitch.
  838.
  839. - The "sign this petition" one isn't too bad to take. I'm pretty sure they'll give you a new item for doing it as it does take a bit of effort to do. The only bad thing about this one is the in game time is frozen if you visit another town so keep that in mind. Still would probably recommend taking this one.
  840.
  841. - If a villager asks for a specific bug/fish that is kinda annoying to go out of your way to get, just don't do it. Though I would still say "yes" to doing the favor as that does make them happy so it's probably best to keep their hopes up and be disappointed rather than just saying no in the first place. Wow, great mayor you are. Kappa
  842.
  843. - For a furniture favor, you can actually give them a bug/fish and they will still take it. I would recommend having spare furniture outside of different sizes and whatnot in case the villager asks to replace a specific piece of furniture that still has to be that size.
  844.
  845. - For a different fruit one (like one that you don't have in your town), if you want you can have another game with that fruit come over and give it to you (for a free visitor too for the badge) then you give it to that villager.
  846.
  847. - Delivery ones are really easy and you might as well do them to boost villager friendship/for the badge. This one doesn't really give out new items as much as others but it's quick and easy so might as well do it.
  848.
  849. -- Extra note for the delivery request: Sadly, whether it was a developer oversight or a glitch, there's certain results of the delivery favor that won't trigger the "completed favor jingle". Things such as "oh this was meant for you actually!" or "hey if you guess what's in here, you can have it!" for some reason don't trigger the noise for completeing the favor, thus it won't count for the badge. Sadly there's no way to avoid that and you'll have to hope it doesn't happen too often but honestly it happens like 50% of the time. Still though despite that, it's still worth doing it as it is a very quick favor.
  850.
  851.
  852. One more note about villagers, that's villager's birthdays. Reference a guide on villager birthdays and wrap a present that is best for that villager. If you have good friendship you should always get a new item from them the next day so keep that in mind.
  853.
  854. One one more note. Sometimes a villager will randomly come into your house while you're in your house. Each time that happens keep talking to them until they give you something. Pretty much it's either a new item or a random piece of fruit so it's a good way to get a free item.

  858. ***September 18th, 2020, 7pm***
  859.
  860. - Go to the island and grind beetles (just a full inventory is fine enough) and bring them back to your town
  861. - By this point you should've had 3 characters in your town meaning you'd have all the villagers needed for your town
  862.
  863. ***September 19th, 2020, 12pm***
  864.
  865. - Talk to Nat for Golden Net
  866. - Hand Nat a beetle you caught. If the score is around 80 points, you can try and give him another bug to beat it. If you want to be safe you can Save & Quit after each bug you give him then TT backwards 1 minute to reset the score. Just do that 6 times to get all the items from whichever item list Nat pulls from:

  894.
  895. - At some point go to the island and grind fish for the fishing tourney. Sort the fish from smallest fish to biggest fish to get the most items from Chip (start at around 20 inch fish). Keep in mind that Chip will ONLY give you a fish item if it beats the record AND the fish you give him is bigger than the AVERAGE size
  896.
  897. Example text: "Man, this is pretty big for a [fish name]! Mmmm. Yum yum! Nyuk nyuk!"
  898.
  899. That's when you know you'll get a fish item. You do not get duplicates of the fish items from Chip so you will on average only need a full inventory of fish that you think are acceptable.
