~[Werewolf/Vampire! AU] Flowers for You~

"This should be fine, right?"

Mary carefully examined the bouquet in her hands. [Describe the flowers more] The flowers were freshly picked from the field.

"Then again, isn't it usually the guys who gives flowers to the lady..?"

She sighed, shaking her head as if it would get rid of her doubt.

"It doesn't matter now anyway. I can't exactly let my hard work go to waste."

"Are you done yet, Mary?"

She turned to Joan when she heard her name being called from behind.

"Yeah, I am. Are you?"

"Same."

Mary stood up and approached her companion. "Does this look fine? Or should I add or remove more?" she asked, showing to Joan the bouquet.

"It looks nice." Joan looked through it more closely before teasingly asking, "Delphiniums?"

"The meaning fits with the message I want to say." Mary shrugs. "How's auntie nowadays?" she asked, trying to change the topic. Fortunately for her, it worked.

"She's doing better now. She misses you, actually," Joan said. Her lips forms a small smile filled with warmth whenever she talks about her mother.

Mary had glanced at her watch before standing up and dusted possible dirt off of her skirt with her right hand. Her left one held the flowers she picked.

"I'll be going now, Joan. Tell auntie I said hi."

"Be careful, alright?"

"I could say the same for you."

She started to hurry.
