  1. Jump #425: Witchblade
  2. >Queen of Wands, reversed: A cocky and domineering person, who pushes anyone or anything aside to get what she wants. One who is vengeful and quick to take offense without good cause.
  3. I want to note that I draw the cards after the writeup is done, generally. This fits, though as is typical doesn't fit the jumper, but another aspect of the situation.
  4. >Age: 24
  5. >Location: Doji Industries, Tokyo
  6. >Identity: NSWF
  7. >Drawbacks: (+300) Obsessed Stalker
  8. Not the first time I've dealt with a stalker, but a stalker with replicated witchblades? -wait wait wait something here isn't right, I stuck someone in a pod earlier but it's empty now...
  9. >War Time Production (700)
  10. Now, isn't this an interesting perk? I can replicate magical and technological artifacts on an industrial scale, if at a lesser power. Sure, this doesn't sound like it would be that useful, until you realize that it doesn't matter how many swords Gil is throwing if there's a dozen people using Avalon, for instance...
  11. >Father (Free, NSWF)
  12. Feh. If I'm going to raise kids, I'm going to raise them right. Grandfatherly demeanor, though? I'll take it.
  13. >Stabilized (600, NSWF)
  14. Negative side effects of wielding any weapons, gone? Why, certainly.
  15. >Making of a Goddess (300, NSWF)
  16. Oh look, I can replicate artifacts at full power. With both this and the War Time Production perk, I can replicate an army's worth of artifacts at full power. I think I'll be juuuust fine...
  17. >Family Phone (Free, NSWF)
  18. I can see the use of a phone like this.
  19. >The Foundation (0, NSWF)
  20. Ah, my own c̶u̶l̶t̶ fan club. I've... okay, never really wanted one of these, but I'll keep it anyway. Rolling this into being a proper R&D department for CruxCorp.
  21.
  22. So, you know how I said I hoped Lucy could find peace somewhere else? When I said that, I meant I threw her in a pod with the intent of letting her go on and live in some world that's never seen her kind. That is, I threw her in the pod after she helped test out the diclonius vaccine and had a crash course in becoming an ESPer by way of telekinesis.
  23.
  24. So naturally, she's gone yandere and somehow gotten her hands on a couple of replica witchblades. At least she's not yandere in the romantic sense, I suppose? But when I wake up and she's standing at the foot of my bed staring at me, I'm not really especially cool with that.
  25.
  26. So, why not? Let's embrace the crazy. And I mean, sure, the witchblades are interesting, but I've got better artifacts than that. In fact, let's kick everything up to eleven (thanks, magical intervention abilities!). Screw the lady with the Witchblade, she can deal with the NSWF's rejects. Rather efficiently, I might add.
  27.
  28. We've got Doji Industries supplying the JSSDF's elites with watered-down cloneblades, which were used to good effect in Iraq (and against Somali pirates in a couple situations). And with examples like that, it isn't long until NATO's clamoring for them as well, a sort of universal weapon of sorts. Two years and the genie's out of the bottle, never to be put back in, even if the resulting weapon is rather weaker.
  29.
  30. Of course, as they're starting to fill those orders, CruxCorp is putting out its own more traditional armor and weaponry and selling to Britain and the United States to start. The overall effect is a superior product at a lower price, and the goal is revolutionizing warfare so a ground soldier can stand up to light armor. Within six months this devolves to open fighting between Doji Industries and CruxCorp, Tokyo being put under martial law, Doji trying to use some insidious features of their tools to seize control of the people using them, which of course gets particularly ugly.
  31.
  32. Sure, it took about seven years and many hefty fines, but the end result was CruxCorp absorbing Doji's assets, including what was left of their research.
  33.
  34. The user of the actual witchblade was very confused by the whole situation, but she made friends with some of CruxCorp's LMDs while fighting some cloneblade users, and ended up with a slightly watered-down Green Lantern ring in the end as a holdout weapon and utility device.
  35.
  36. None of this concerned me at all aside from getting the ball rolling, because you know how I thought Lucy wasn't yandere in the romantic sense? Yeah, I was pretty much wrong on that, because she'd gotten her hands on a handful of artifacts from the warehouse somehow, and in addition to telekinesis and witchblades, she could teleport and had the keys to my universal magic system that she used. Which was at first amusing, right up until the point that it was not.
  37.
  38. I'd like to joke more about this, but I'm happily married, I'm not going to stick my dick in the kind of axe-crazy that she'll inevitably be, and I spent several years hiding from her until she started cutting a path across South America while trying to find me. At which point I slapped her hard enough to knock her clear across the Amazon, told her I'm just gonna fuck off to Venus, and she could come breathe sulfur if she wanted me so badly.
  39.
  40. I shouldn't be surprised that she only took three months before she found a way to get to Venus AND survive, but three months is plenty of time to be prepared. It didn't help anything that she walked in on me at an inopportune time, but once she regained her composure and was hit by what was practically a wall of calming charms, we managed to have a logical discussion about her yandere tendencies. And the fact that she was not going to be coming with me after I left that world in about ten minutes.
  41.
  42. She teleported away right as I left and, as far as I know, was planning to settle back somewhere where she didn't have to worry about people. Apparently, we're all disappointments. Guess I shouldn't have interrupted the plot of Elfen Lied after all, and just let her come to terms with herself.
