Personality ( min. 4 sentences, a good 1-3 paragraphs ): minsik is defined as a person with lack of outer emotions but definitely experiences a lot without anyone noticing. he's relatively silent silent, mainly since he never communicates with others unless there's something of value. he lacks empathy for others, having few exceptions like his sister, so in situations with a stranger's life at risk he provides no care for their well being. he's not that cruel,  people who have not impacted his life do not play a huge role in his point of view.

he prefers the solitude, it helps him concentrate on his work. he spends most of his time improving and researching, hoping to impress his father as he doesn't approve his career choice. to do often, minsik often has holes in his plans, causing trouble for his research. it matters a lot to him, so he continues taking risky choices, there's no way his work would end up pointless.

minsik became somewhat prideful thanks to his father's pressure on him, now he has a strict mindset, succeeding in all of his goals. secretly, he can be a lot softer than his seems, but you'd have to acquired a strong bond with him and extreme patience. he beholds an intimidating/cold expression to not endure any type of bother, a method to evade any type of distraction. if he's in a bad mood or meets someone with an attitude, trust me, he will snap back in seconds, holds almost no patience.

Background ( min. 3 sentences, a good paragraph): well, his story goes back a lot. the person who his father is married currently is not his actual mother. years ago, way before the ultimate extinction of the deviants, he had fallen in love with one, regardless of her blood. they were engaged when little minsik was born, bringing a lot more joy into their little family.

sadly, the dreamland shattered quickly. hyeonsik was offered a much better lifestyle, he would be part of the high class with a well paying job if he eliminated or handed over deviants he had gotten to know. of course, he refused to do so, not daring to hurt his fiancée or son.

his fiancée, seona, had found out about the deal, which hyeonsik kept a secret. she'd gotten help from a family friend to take her and the baby to a safer place, without hyeonsik's consent.

eventually he found out about the escapade, growing furious as he partially misinterpreted the situation, apart from his fiancée running away with their son, he assumed she had cheated on him the whole time. in crude anger, he murdered both deviants, keeping minsik alive. reporting it to the company, he was given everything, marrying another woman and posing her as minsik's mother.

nowadays, they're financial status is decreasing, so if minsik doesn't do anythong of value, hyeonsik might try to hand him over.

wei nuan ; 48 years old ; mother ; 7/10 ; both held a more balanced relationship, by that did not stop her from acting a lot more stricter towards him. she also shares the same thoughts as his father, but accepts his decision.
han jumi ; 11 years old ; little sister ; 9/10 ; he's incredibly affectionate towards his baby sister as she lacks parental love. usually takes on safe adventures, making sure she's entertained and content, protects her from unnecessary scolding from their parents.

— DOOMSDAY: they actually hold a pretty well friendship, as they have similar personalities. once in a while he would go to them to consult over plans and such, a reliable person of sorts.

— BATTLE CRY: even if he wanted to get to know them, their competitive traits would clash. he seems them as competition, definitely not the best pair.

— DIVINITY: minsik has no views on them, he thinks they're too dependent on eden, not very trusting towards DIVINITY. if he's willing to share his ideas, he's pretty vague if they're around.

— FALLOUT: they seem to stand more on his good side, as he feels bad for them after what they've suffered. he's a lot more careful around them, not as harsh and intimidating.

— OBLIVION: okay, they must be one of the only ones he's actually 'nice' with, probably because of her imagination. they keep an open mind just like him, but he isn't fond of their cowardly nature.

— CATACLYSM: they're wary of them, doesn't exactly communicate with them for various obvious reasons. he may try to discover more about them, but doesn't cross the line to not fall into danger.

Relationship with love interests:

—JEON JEONGGUK: kind of kid he'd keep his eye on. they match with their reckless nature, so he often gives him tips to tone it down whenever he's going too far.

— KIM TAEHYUNG: not really close to him, maybe he'd bump into him when he's out exploring the town, but minsik would be awkward approaching him.

— PARK JIMIN: actually, they seem to click easily. minsik doesn't fall for his attitude, having to deal with his own, so he catches glimpses of the boy before the storm.

— KIM NAMJOON: admires his greatly, maybe a little bit jealous by the way everyone leans towards him, trusting him without a second thought. sometimes he discreetly tries to copy him.

— JUNG HOSEOK: he's weak for the man, okay? there's those time where he's secretly enchanted by him, a trait that makes him feel sane and humane for once in his life.

— MIN YOONGI: he doesn't really like the guy, both have created glaring contests. minsik does his best to evade him, not having the ideal relationship.

— KIM SEOKJIN: could consider him friend, mainly because of his pacific nature, but there's something off which he decides to not comment.

Love Interest personality: hoseok could be classified as a hyperactive and partially annoying individual, unless you've clung onto him for a long period of time, he's had a fair share of struggles he wishes to forget for just one day.

he's a man conflicted by the appearance of the world, cherishing the things he's grown to love, even if they were broken and almost unfixable. behind the lack of kindness and love given to him, hoseok wants to protect others, no one should suffer a similar pain he has dealt with.

How do they meet: hoseok caught minsik infiltrating at his work place during his night shift, not immediately discovering his identify since the latter had been prepared for such cases.

Interactions/Trivia:
— hoseok is really friendly around him, hoping he could loosen up from his usual distant demeanor.

First impressions:
— minsik was definitely baffled by the endless kindness and energy shown as he had never met someone with a similar personality, tries to find out more about him.

— hoseok was a bit suspicious by minsik's behavior, especially by the lack of back story from him, nevertheless tries to stay in his good side, having to endure his 'difficult' personality.

How they act around each other:
— a lot of subtle skinship, especially since our dear minsik is really awkward with it.
— minsik adoring his laughter, bluntly commenting about it.
— basically, they act like those best friends with opposite personalities which act like couples, high key yoonseok.

How their relationship develops ( beginning, middle, end ):

beginning: they would be mere acquaintances, since minsik isn't focused on holding friendships. hoseok would try to befriend him, even if it is a hard task.

middle: not the best of friends, but they're on the way. minsik would be more open about his discoveries and thoughts. could be the start of small romantic aspects between both, but nothing too extravagant.

end: by then, i can imagine hoseok trying his best to appeal to him, possibly seeking to share his feelings towards minsik, yet at the same time i have no clue how the setting would be by then. so instead, i imagined it to have no official confessions and such, but they are aware of what they feel for each other.

— i imagine minsik falling in love with hoseok's son, as he reminded him of his sister, maybe would babysit him.
— hoseok trying to bring some joy into minsik's life, hoping he would lighten up.

— there's practically a serene aura around him, being much more kinder and open to others, lips forming small smiles once in a while.

— the guilt would not be outwardly expressed, he'd act indifferently but would regret his decision. if there was any chance to fix it, he'd try to solve it in a subtle way.

— minsik would openly display such emotion, holding his distance from such thing that caused those emotions.

What is your character's Achille's Heel (fatal flaw)?: he's too daring for his own good, this trait causes him fall into unnecessary trouble as his curiosity and thirst for adventure is insatiable.

Type: force field creation

Logistics: this power helps the deviant protect themselves by creating a mildly transparent force field around them. it can deflect various of attacks, basically stay the away from possible danger. size can alter depending on the user's wishes, normally doesn't excess ridiculous heights/lengths.

How does it affect the character?: the bigger, larger it is can weaken the character, but usually the duration causes this. if used for a long amount of time, the character will suffer from energy loss and will eventually pass out. if a bigger mass is attacking the field, such as a deviant with extreme super strength or someone uses a bigger weapon, the user will gain a pounding headache/migraine if the threat does not stop, eventual unconsciousness.

How they found out: minsik wouldn't fins out until halfway of the story, having to face a fight-or-flight situation which no one was prepared for.

How they use it: not as much, it isn't a power you could play around with, it's for mere protection.

How their relationship develops: i think was repeated but it was answered in the original one !

A summary of how you'd see the two developing across the plot of the fic: i think their development would come across as slow, since minsik's prime interest is to acquire more information about the forge in timeline, but hoseok would try his best to get to know him, thanks to his friendly nature.

Would your character save the world or him? Explain why: as unbelievable as it sounds, he would save him. when he's attached to a certain person, he becomes extremely protective over them, but he would ponder over the question a lot.

Why did they volunteer for the simulation? Or were they forced?: minsik considered this to be the chance of discovering new things never seen by anyone, so of course he would volunteer to be part of the project. If there were any secrets, he had to know.
