  1. "Oi oi." Robin calls out to the VERY CLEARLY SPARKLING lady. For whatever reason, he had a suspicion in the back of his head that she maybe - just might - be a tad magical. Magical in the exact area that he needed professional expertise in!
  2.
  3. "You look like you might be able to help me, miss." Robin puts on his best goodboy tone, trying to appear friendly and polite. He didn't want to scare her away with his dirty appearance or rough demeanor.
  4. (Robin)
  5.
  6.
  7.
  8.
  9. Elizabeth had been facing the West. Staring out and into the star filled sky. Her body was shrouded with faint tracings of cosmic mana. Lost in conversation with her star it seemed.
  10.
  11. That was until Robin approached and spoke to her. To which the woman slowly pulled her gaze from the sky. Allowing for her head to turn to the left ever slightly so that her gaze could cast in search of the voice.
  12.
  13. "Hello."
  14.
  15. She said with a kind and welcoming tone.
  16.
  17. "What might you need help with this night?"
  18.
  19. Elizabeth asked with a slightly risen brow. An equally calm and kind smile took her expression. One that matched her tone.
  20. (Elizabeth W. Fantasia)
  21.
  22.
  23.
  24.
  25.
  26. Robin for whatever reason felt more unease in this encounter than some of his life-threatening ones. Badgering people and burning bridges was fun and easy because it didn't matter what you said - this woman though? Robin couldn't just explode on her to get what he wanted. He had to actually be... nice.
  27.
  28. Guh.
  29.
  30. "U-U.." Damn it! "I... you seem like a magician that might know a little more than me. Recently... I looked up to the nights sky and felt something weird happen to me. My imagination ran wild and I felt... this really weird bolt of inspiration." Robin explains in the best terms he could possibly find, but it was such a surreal experience and he was so... uneducated.
  31.
  32. "I barely know anything about the stars... but I feel like one is reaching out to me. What should I do?"
  33. (Robin)
  34.
  35.
  36.
  37.
  38. Her smile grew more as Robin spoke. Explaining the situation to her.
  39.
  40. "I see."
  41.
  42. She began with that and slowly turned back to the West. Where her blue gaze shifted to the night sky. Her left hand gestured slightly to the space beside her.
  43.
  44. "Come, stand beside me. I'll explain as best I can."
  45.
  46. Elizabeth finished as she pulled her hand back to her front. Allowing them both to rest together.
  47. (Elizabeth W. Fantasia)
  48.
  49.
  50.
  51.
  52. Robin shuffle-steps forward, glancing cautiously towards Elizabeth. She didn't exactly give him a lot of faith with such a vague response like that, but.
  53.
  54. "Uh... ok." He grows quiet, waiting for her to explain!
  55. (Robin)
  56.
  57.
  58.
  59. When they stepped up beside him Elizabeth would speak.
  60.
  61. "What you've experienced is just as you've guessed. A star reaching out to you."
  62.
  63. There was a short pause. During which she gestured toward the cosmos above. The star filled sky that reigned supreme as ever.
  64.
  65. "It's hard to say which of them is calling to you. Perhaps it may be one of many. Though there are ways to help you find out.
  66.
  67. What I suggest is you project your mana to the cosmos. Reach out to them. Speak out to them. The one that was reaching out for you will connect with you.
  68.
  69. If the time is right."
  70.
  71. The woman said with a single assured nod.
  72. (Elizabeth W. Fantasia)
  73.
  74.
  75.
  76. "Project my mana to the cosmos...?"
  77.
  78. Robin politely waits for her to finish her explanation - but the words he echoes are in wonderment. How could he possibly reach so far up into the heavens that they might take notice of him? There was no way that one could scream so loud from so far below as to reach their ears, surely! Robin spends a moment just processing that.
  79.
  80. "What would I even say...?" The next question is an even bigger one, in Robins mind.
  81.
  82. "And... how do I know if the time is right?"
  83. (Robin)
  84.
  85.
  86.
  87. A faint smile took her expression as she slightly cast her gaze to the left.
  88.
  89. "Yes, project your mana to the cosmos. What you need to do is simply gather your mana within your circuits. Build it and then released it to the cosmos above. Project it."
  90.
  91. Pausing there the woman turned her gaze back to the stars above.
  92.
  93. "Simply call out them. Tell them your name although they already know it. Tell them you seek that which was reaching out for you."
  94.
  95. Then, as he posed his next question, Elizabeth smiled yet again. This was perhaps her favorite part.
  96.
  97. "You don't. That's why it's often referred to as the first step. Taking the initiative."
  98. (Elizabeth W. Fantasia)
  99.
  100.
  101.
  102.
  103. Robins confusion followed up until she said the words, 'Tell them you seek that which was reaching out for you.'
  104.
  105. A look of pure amazement crosses his face, all the wires starting to connect as he reaches back to recall what had happened when fate came knocking at his door. What he saw promised in the power of the cosmos was to become his truest self; to unlock what potential he had within him by becoming a conduit to their power.
  106.
  107. "So... to call out to them now that they've reached out to me... would be accepting their offer." Robin reaches up to the sky suddenly realizing that he had kept destiny waiting. A shiver runs down his spine. "...I'm not gonna keep them waiting!"
  108.
  109. His mind becomes transfixed as he reaches his hand outwards to the heavens. He doesn't know how he can hope to reach the stars, but he has faith that they will hear him anyway. His destiny - however grim - he would choose to accept. His loveand hate, however fierce, he would choose to sharpen into tools for the Stars will.
  110.
  111. I, ROBIN, ACCEPT YOUR CALL! He screams loud inside his head, his mana surging in response. He did not know how to 'speak' to them, but he was sure something was listening now.
  112.
  113. IF THIS IS MY PATH, I WILL WALK IT UNDER YOUR LIGHT!
  114.
  115. ...Outwardly, Robin was just grunting a little and sweating hard with his hand stuck outward like a dumb dumb. It wasn't very impressive at all for Elizabeth to be witness to. If anything, he looked a little dorkish.
  116. (Robin)
  117.
  118.
  119.
  120. "Yes and no. Yes in the upfront idea that you will accept their guidance. However, fully doing so will take time and a certain understanding.
  121.
  122. A certain amount of commitment you're willing to give."
  123.
  124. Pausing there the woman would remain silent for the next several minutes. She'd watch as the mana began to project from Robin. A similar sight when compared to her own experience.
  125.
  126. The silence grew between them until finally Elizabeth would speak again.
  127.
  128. "Good Robin. Continue to call to them. Do so for a while, though if you receive no response in a few minutes they may simply be waiting."
  129. (Elizabeth W. Fantasia)
  130.
  131. Robin would continue to knock on heavens door, silently praying for some kind of response.
  132.
  133. After a while, a feeling swells inside of his chest - foreign and strange. It doubts him, it finds him lacking. It does not know if he can became all he must be. It tells him that he must be so steeled in his heart as to kill without mercy - if the time comes - and do so again and again if he must. It finds him lacking in his love of those he cherishes. It says - without these things, passion and hate - you cannot become all that you must.
  134.
  135. THEN I WILL CHANGE.
  136.
  137. Robin's mental shout roars out above all this.
  138.
  139. THEN I WILL LIVE MY LIFE TO THE FULLEST!
  140.
  141. ---- And a piercing headache drowns out even that shout.
  142.
  143. The doubt, the fear, it fades from him just as unnaturally quick as it had came.
  144.
  145. In it's place was left a memory, an entirely alien bit of consciousness plopped down from the heavens and left in his mind. A name; a destination; a calling. The invisible connection to his Star that tethered them through the nearly infinite space between them.
  146.
  147. Robin never learned his Stars name. His Star had simply made his soul remember it - it and the unbreakable bond between them.
  148.
  149. Robin finally drops his hand, no longer needing to stretch out to the nights sky to hear it. His eyes open and he turns to Elizabeth - breaking his long silence with a simple acknowledgement.
  150.
  151. "...I think I did something right. I kind of... feel like I'm in the right place now. Even if I can't see it from this far away... I know I'm looking in the right direction. Does that make sense?"
  152. (Robin)
