  1. Erniechiew - Erniechiew appeared out of nowhere as #1 on the list, getting regular scores of over well over 300 WPM when he began repeating the text "They don't know that we know they know we know." At first it was believed he was cheating, due to his instantaneous typing of the letters 'kno' and the fact that he hadn't previously gotten scores anywhere close to the scores he was claiming. When questioned, Ernie provided OVER TEN hours of videos, had these videos analyzed carefully by many players, and used a program developed by the community to careful monitor his keystrokes. He seems to have the rare ability to type 'kno' in fewer than 0.5 milliseconds on a regular basis - a truly impressive feat - but there is no reason to believe he is cheating based on all evidence provided. Erniechiew's current record is a blistering 348.579 WPM, and he is likely able to even surpass this.
  2. Mostlynonquit - Mostlynonquit likely has the fastest potential speed of any current typist on the infamous "They don't know that we know..." quote. He could very possibly surpass 350 WPM, even approaching 400 WPM. With a current score of 339.350 WPM he has far surpassed the 300 WPM mark.
  3. Deroche1 - I care more about race count than anything else - tiring myself out until physical and mental exhaustion. I'll also regularly type when inebriated. Therefore my scores fluctuate perhaps more than anyone else. With fresh fingers and a clear mind I'm able to burst out some decent scores across all quotes, long or short. I was the first on the site to surpass 300 WPM, although this has been done by seven different players now. Today my record is 323.766 WPM. I am very happy with this score and have no intention of trying to beat it.
  4. Florentine - Florentine is likely the most versatile typist on short quotes, breaking records easily on the very short quotes on this site. Her 309.545 - a score likely easily beatable for her - is very impressive alone, but combined with her countless fast scores on short quotes (and long quotes as well), she is likely the greatest active "burst" typist. With a sustained typing speed of over 170 WPM, she is likely one of the best overall typists in the world.
  5. Alpha_Panda - Alpha_Panda, a relatively young typist, appeared on Typeracer not too long ago, boasting a very impressive maintrack nonquit average of 150-160 - even surpassing 170 on occasion. His max speed, as shown by his ability to surpass 300 wpm, is incredibly impressive as well. His current record stands at 301.395 WPM.
  6. Sharoop - Sharoop, like Alpha_Panda, is a young typist with some impressive speed. He has made serious improvement since joining Typeracer. Beginning just over two years ago with an average speed of under 100 WPM and a max speed of 147 WPM, he has shown incredible improvement, becoming the sixth person in Typeracer history to surpass 300 WPM in a race, with a blistering 300.319
  7. Newkeyboardlove - Newkeyboardlove, aka Maximum Chris, is a veteran of Typeracer. He's always had a strong interest in maximizing his scores on short quotes, and would often spend hours on end repeating short quotes, seeking out scores to be proud of. Recently he's set a personal record of 298.729 WPM, showing his hard effort has paid off.
  8. Pentalon - Pentalon, like Newkeyboardlove, is a veteran of the site. Initially not being a burst typist, he began to repeat scores in attempts of setting personal records. With much effort, he has become one of today's top burst typists in the game, boasting an impressive score of 288.435 WPM.
  9. Supererik - Supererik, another young, very fast typist, was once considered to possibly have the fastest fingers of any active typists. While perhaps others have come along to surpass him, there is no doubting his skill. Coming in at 283.422 WPM he's got some amazing fingers - with a bizarre technique! Supererik uses primarily four fingers, including left index finger on spacebar. How does he do it? Nobody knows, but it sure seems to work for him. His Youtube videos have disappeared, but his hands seemed to teleport across the keyboard with blinding speed. With a maintrack nonquit average of well over 150, possibly 160, he's one of the best overall typists this site has ever seen.
  10. Gnikgg - This score has stood the test of time, remaining on the top 10 list for over half a year. Gnikgg set this score back in May of 2017, when replays were just being rolled out! He had been practicing this text for quite a bit, suddenly finding a surge of speed over the course of a few days, eventually annihilating his record with a solid run of 279.400 WPM.
