Home Body Clue - chp8

Okay, there's a lot of unmarked stuff going on in this one, so let's take things slowly.

Pony #1 (Cakes) is a mare with an unidentified weapon at first introduction.

Pony #2 (Drops) is a stallion carrying the Candlestick. Pony #1 knocks him out, but hears another mare's voice from the other side of the door, Pony #3 - this mare is NOT Scarlet. Pony #3 pretends to go out for a walk.

Pony #1 goes through the secret passage to the kitchen (still carrying the Candlestick?), but encounters Pony #4 (no alignment). Pony #4 makes a comment which excludes Pony #1 from being White.

Pony #2 wakes up, picks up #1's original weapon, and leaves the study. He hears Ponies #1 and #4 in the Kitchen, and #5 in the Dining Room. #5 is, at this point, unidentified as to gender and alignment, other than the fact that they are not either of the pegasus guests, White or Mustard. Pony #2 goes into the Ballroom.

Now Pony #6 (also no currently identified alignment), who is a stallion but is not Green, goes to the bathroom. By process of elimination, this means that #5 must be a mare, as #2, #4 and #6 are stallions.

Current state of play:
#1 (Cakes) is either SCARLET or PEACOCK. Candlestick (which was #2's weapon). Currently in the Kitchen.
#2 (Drops) is an unidentified stallion. Using #1's original weapon. Currently in the Ballroom.
#3 (???) is either WHITE or PEACOCK. Since #1 and #5 can't be White, that means that THIS IS WHITE. Currently outside?
#4 (???) is an unidentified stallion. Currently in the Kitchen.
#5 (???) is either SCARLET OR PEACOCK. Currently in the Dining Room.
#6 (???) is either MUSTARD or PLUM. Currently in the Bathroom.

Pony #1 comes out of the Kitchen, and trips over the Rope as set by Pony #2 (which makes the Rope #1's original weapon). #1 is now unconscious. #2 looks through her saddlebags, but #4 has the film, and also the Lead Piping, and #2 is now unconscious. White has now come back with the Dagger, revealing that she hid in the Library instead. #4 gives up and goes upstairs.

A mare (#5) now arrives, and knocks White out with a blunt weapon, which again by process of elimination is the Wrench, as #1 had the Candlestick and #4 had the Lead Piping.

#6 comes out of the Bathroom and panics, seeing the pile of three ponies (#1, #2 and White). They pull Plum out of the pile - #2 is the only stallion - then go to get water for him. One of the others wakes up, wonders if that was Mustard or Peacock, then picks up their third weapon. This must then be #1.

New state of play:
#1 (Cakes) is SCARLET, now carrying the DAGGER. Since #3 is White, and #1 wonders whether the pony they'd just seen was Peacock, this has to be Scarlet.
#2 (Drops) is PLUM, unconscious. Reasons mentioned above.
#3 (Joe) is WHITE, unconscious.
#4 (unaligned) is GREEN, given up and upstairs, carrying the LEAD PIPING. By process of elimination.
#5 (Gustave) is PEACOCK, seemingly in the wind, carrying the WRENCH.
#6 (Completely innocent?) is MUSTARD, in the Kitchen getting water for Plum. He's not Green as established earlier, and as he drags Plum out of the pile this has to be Mustard.

Scarlet goes outside, finds Peacock unconscious, then takes the film and goes off to find the Cakes.

Scarlet was first carrying the Rope, then the Candlestick, then the Dagger. Plum began with the Candlestick, then used Scarlet's discarded Rope to turn the tables. White had the Dagger, but lost it to Scarlet when she was knocked unconscious. Green took the Lead Piping with him upstairs.

It was SCARLET, taking the recipe to the CAKES, using the ROPE, CANDLESTICK and DAGGER.
