  13. Once again, a decade with no memory. Or rather, a hole where memory should be. In the back of my mind, I am aware of a myriad number of proverbial 'switches' that control extraordinary abilities. Some ancient in feel, some newer. The newest among them involve the manipulation of liquids and of any life that I can touch, interestingly. More well-worn abilities involve various magical arts, or mastery over various aspects of technology. But aside from knowledge of how this world came to be as it is... I am a blank slate. A god, functionally. Even moreso than those who call themselves gods here. Everyone assumes it was some sort of botched transfer, Yama himself had checked only to find that whatever happened would not only fail to be undone by placing me in another body, but that it would most definitely kill me.

  15. So of course it immediately came to pass that I somehow got caught up in the shadow of a revolution against the gods, serving as what they would consider a pawn. It is likely they did not expect a woman who called herself Demona to locate me in a matter of hours after being caught up in it, nor seeing a whimsical smile from her and agreement to join the revolution for lack of anything better to serve as her entertainment. Yama, the god of death (and inexplicably of the forge?), was amused by my seeming abilities as an idiot savant - but found any principle he taught me, I could build upon and extrapolate to its logical conclusion. Even outside of Heaven itself, he took me under his wing and taught me a great many things.

  17. As fate would have it, of course, this course of events set me on a path that put me directly at odds with Kali, who was a rather... disturbing individual at the best of times, I came to realize. And indeed, she and her followers sought my death. With little experience over my abilities, Demona alone likely would not have prevailed against her army of followers - however, I unexpectedly seemed to have my own followers. One thousand souls, all with the powers of demigods on their own; Kali's armies were routed. Kali herself was smited by Demona thrice, before my followers found a way to entrap her on a more permanent basis.

  19. It took quite a matter of time, after that, but the revolution was inexorably successful; in time, it was expected that all mortals would become demigods. Not overnight, of course, but eventually. And once there were enough of them... it was expected they would sail across the heavens, finding new stars in the night sky to visit and inhabit.
