  1. [5:57 PM] SwaDM: Stew was had. Admittedly really good stew was had. Who'd have thought that Jugo was actually a very competent cook? Probably not Kiran. Does it have to do with prothesics? Maybe. Maybe there is a salt shaker built into his finger. Did Kiran see a sallt shaker? No. No he didn't - oh, right. Nevermind. What was he onto again?
  2. [5:58 PM] SwaDM: Libra. Right. Probably. After the group had a hearty meal, they scattered just slightly, having gone off to do a couple of their own things. Libra, in particular, went closer towards the pond - currently being sat cross legged while two of her fingers run across an open book of sorts.
  3. [6:00 PM] Kiran: will have briefly returned to the water after dinner to wash his hands and face, and will have summarily occupied himself by working on a project.
  4. [6:01 PM] Kiran: occasionally glances over at her, wanting to give her space, but will eventually get to his feet and slowly meander over, enjoying the feel of grass beneath his feet.
  5. [6:02 PM] SwaDM: Libra will have remained quiet and still, only ocasionally flipping through the book, page by page. No immediate rejection - progress! Wait, Kiran's already talked with her beforehand. This is probably slightly less awkwad, then.
  6. [6:03 PM] Kiran: "Hi Libra. Are you at a good bit of the story, or are you free to talk?"
  7. [6:04 PM] SwaDM: "Hm? Oh-."
  8. [6:04 PM] SwaDM: "Not a story this time around."
  9. [6:04 PM] SwaDM: "Well...it Is a story in a sense but - nevermind. No, I'm f ree."
  10. [6:04 PM] Kiran: sits cross-legged down next to her.
  11. [6:04 PM] Kiran: "What are you reading this time?"
  12. [6:05 PM] SwaDM: "I am not...certain you will recognize it."
  13. [6:05 PM] SwaDM: "They're tales and collections from the White Maiden."
  14. [6:05 PM] Kiran: (Would that be something Kiran recognises?)
  15. [6:06 PM] SwaDM: (It would not.)
  16. [6:07 PM] Kiran: "No, I don't know what that is. What's the White Maiden? It sounds like the name of a boat."
  17. [6:07 PM] SwaDM: "A bo-..."
  18. [6:07 PM] SwaDM: Libra sighs, once.
  19. [6:07 PM] SwaDM: "No, Kiran. It is not a boat."
  20. [6:07 PM] SwaDM: "It's my deity."
  21. [6:08 PM] Kiran: "... oh. Oh, I'm sorry."
  22. [6:08 PM] SwaDM: "It's fine. At this point, I realize it was not meant as an insult."
  23. [6:09 PM] Kiran: tilts his head.
  24. [6:09 PM] Kiran: "So is it a book of parables?"
  25. [6:09 PM] SwaDM: "She's a guardian deity with ties to both the Fey and the Mortal world."
  26. [6:09 PM] SwaDM: "It is, yes."
  27. [6:09 PM] SwaDM: "And teachings."
  28. [6:09 PM] Kiran: "Oh, that sounds really interesting. I don't know very much about the Fey."
  29. [6:10 PM] SwaDM: "Well, specifically - the Seelie fey. The ones that...well, the ones that are not needlessly cruel, let us put it that way."
  30. [6:10 PM] Kiran: "That makes sense. I would never think you're cruel."
  31. [6:11 PM] Kiran: "Does the White Maiden have a central tenet, or series of tenets?"
  32. [6:11 PM] SwaDM: "The central tenet would be that of the naked truth."
  33. [6:12 PM] Kiran: "Oh, I guess that means it's considered right that you work to divine the future?"
  34. [6:12 PM] SwaDM: "No, actually."
  35. [6:12 PM] SwaDM: "It is based on the idea that the souls of each individual are separate to that of their physical existance. It's a tenet of temperance that swears to never inflict needless harm upon souls, and their passing across the world."
  36. [6:13 PM] Kiran: "Oh. Wow, the Kriendyh must be pretty conflicting with the White Maiden, then."
  37. [6:13 PM] Kiran: "Is that why you're reading it?"
  38. [6:14 PM] SwaDM: "I find it just calming to read, to be frank. I've already made my peace regarding what happened with the Kriendyh."
  39. [6:14 PM] SwaDM: "What they did was deplorable, yes -but that does not change the naked truth. They deserve to pass on, in spite of it."
  40. [6:15 PM] SwaDM: "Whatever judgement awaits them then, is not mine to inflict."
  41. [6:15 PM] Kiran: "I agree... sort of."
  42. [6:15 PM] Kiran: "Hm. No. I think I agree in general, actually."
  43. [6:16 PM] Kiran: "So the idea is that the soul is the reality of a person laid bare, and that it is right that the soul pass on? Is it based around freeing them for the judgement you mentioned, or for some other purpose?"
  44. [6:17 PM] SwaDM: "Freeing them for said judgement, mostly. But yes, that is the basis of it."
  45. [6:18 PM] Kiran: "How did you get involved with the... church?..."
  46. [6:18 PM] SwaDM: "That...is a complicated question."
  47. [6:19 PM] Kiran: "Would you prefer not to talk about it?"
  48. [6:19 PM] SwaDM: "...Hmn."
  49. [6:20 PM] SwaDM: "I suppose I would not mind give you the cliff notes, at least. Since you already know what happened to me."
  50. [6:20 PM] SwaDM: "With the whole...Reveno business, that is."
  51. [6:20 PM] Kiran: "Yes. I hadn't meant to pry."
  52. [6:21 PM] SwaDM: "Again - it's fine, Kiran."
  53. [6:21 PM] SwaDM: "You need not be so cautious. By this point, I understand you are far more bumbling then mean spirited."
  54. [6:21 PM] Kiran: "It's a habit. I'll be more straightforward. Thank you, Libra."
  55. [6:22 PM] SwaDM: "She saved my life, essentially."
  56. [6:22 PM] SwaDM: "I did not remember my past overmuch...until you had so blatantly told me of what you had learned."
  57. [6:22 PM] Kiran: winces slightly.
  58. [6:23 PM] SwaDM: "I was aware that she had saved me already, but not from what. That would have been from a demonic invasion that occoured in the material plane."
  59. [6:23 PM] Kiran: "Oh. I guess they were threatening people's souls somehow?"
  60. [6:23 PM] SwaDM: "...Yes, Kiran. They are demons."
  61. [6:24 PM] SwaDM: "They are not very nice people."
  62. [6:24 PM] Kiran: "No, I mean - literally their souls, rather than just killing people."
  63. [6:24 PM] SwaDM: "...Yes Kiran. They are demons."
  64. [6:24 PM] Kiran: "Oh."
  65. [6:24 PM] SwaDM: "You do not know much about extraplanar matters, do you...?"
  66. [6:25 PM] Kiran: "It is an area I've found myself wanting to learn more about."
  67. [6:25 PM] SwaDM: "Fair enough. Regardless..."
  68. [6:25 PM] SwaDM: "I felt indebted to her - as such, I sought to learn more of her existance and her beliefs during my travels across dimensions."
  69. [6:26 PM] SwaDM: "At a certain point, I had managed to learn and interact with her beliefs - and believers - enough so that I could truly begin channeling her will, instead of merely passively having a measure of her blessing."
  70. [6:26 PM] Kiran: "That's amazing."
  71. [6:27 PM] Kiran: "I'm glad to hear you found that."
  72. [6:28 PM] SwaDM: "Mmm. That, combined with the monastic trained I had allowed me to better develop my senses - beyond merely the physical. Which in turn permitted me to delve into the matters of divination in a closer fashion that most do."
  73. [6:30 PM] Kiran: "How do you make observation to the White Maiden? If at all, I mean."
  74. [6:30 PM] SwaDM: "What do you mean?"
  75. [6:31 PM] Kiran: "Do you pray? Or is there any specific act that you perform to pay respect to her?"
  76. [6:31 PM] SwaDM: "I do not pray in the manner you may be accostumed to."
  77. [6:32 PM] SwaDM: "I do not retain a connection in that sense to her. My prayer is composed of meditation and self-reflection. Fey tend to be fiercely independent in some aspects - and albeit she is not a Fey, this concept of independence is still valued."
  78. [6:32 PM] Kiran: "That sounds a little like how I've paid observation to Essati."
  79. [6:33 PM] SwaDM: "Mmm. She's also meant to be quite elusive, so...the lack of direct communication is...understandable."
  80. [6:33 PM] Kiran: "How did your other book end? The one with the... Sealers?"
  81. [6:34 PM] SwaDM: "Marriage."
  82. [6:34 PM] Kiran: smiles and chuckles quietly to himself.
  83. [6:34 PM] SwaDM: "Aand from what I overheard from Sandra..."
  84. [6:34 PM] SwaDM: "The marriage of her greatgrandfather and greatgrandmother."
  85. [6:34 PM] Kiran: "That's a good ending."
  86. [6:34 PM] SwaDM: "...She did not take anything from them."
  87. [6:34 PM] Kiran: snorts.
  88. [6:35 PM] Kiran: "She's never struck me as being particularly like mister Sigvard."
  89. [6:35 PM] SwaDM: "..."
  90. [6:35 PM] SwaDM: "...Her greatgrandfather is Sigfrith."
  91. [6:35 PM] Kiran: "I know. But I've never met him."
  92. [6:35 PM] SwaDM: "Oh."
  93. [6:35 PM] SwaDM: "...You know, neither have I."
  94. [6:35 PM] SwaDM: "Strange."
  95. [6:36 PM] Kiran: "I suppose it is a little odd that someone who accomplished as much as he did wouldn't have joined the fight."
  96. [6:36 PM] SwaDM: "Neither him or Red, yes."
  97. [6:36 PM] SwaDM: "I've never met either of them."
  98. [6:36 PM] SwaDM: "Nor have I heard of them being on either side."
  99. [6:37 PM] Kiran: "What about the other Sealers?"
  100. [6:37 PM] SwaDM: "I have heard of a Chris or Two...And a Pantera."
  101. [6:37 PM] SwaDM: "Which makes it all the more confusing."
  102. [6:38 PM] Kiran: "Might be something to ask Lous about later. I feel like I wouldn't get a reasonable answer out of Sandra."
  103. [6:38 PM] SwaDM: "That seems logical."
  104. [6:38 PM] SwaDM: "Still. It was a good book."
  105. [6:39 PM] Kiran: "I'm glad to hear it. I'll need to check it out at some point if I can find a copy."
  106. [6:39 PM] SwaDM: "It's meant to be everywhere, so you shouldn't have any trouble."
  107. [6:39 PM] SwaDM: "Are there any books you like, yourself?"
  108. [6:39 PM] SwaDM: "That aren't forging or enchanting manuals."
  109. [6:39 PM] Kiran: "I suspect I'll have to source it extradimensionally."
  110. [6:42 PM] Kiran: chuckles, "I will have you know that some crafts manuals can be very interesting."
  111. [6:42 PM] SwaDM: "Yes, but they are not stories in the traditional sense, are they?"
  112. [6:44 PM] Kiran: "True. I've never been much of a reader myself, but when I did pick up a book, I've often gravitated toward the fantastical. Things that describe the world as it could be, rather than as it is."
  113. [6:45 PM] SwaDM: "That does seem in tune with you, yes."
  114. [6:45 PM] Kiran: "I suppose so. More recently, I've been reading history. Political, military, geographic."
  115. [6:46 PM] Kiran: "There are so many gaps in what I know."
  116. [6:46 PM] SwaDM: "Anything in particular?"
  117. [6:47 PM] Kiran: "Well, if you happen to know of any books that would help with planar lore, I'd be very appreciative."
  118. [6:47 PM] SwaDM: "You know."
  119. [6:47 PM] SwaDM: "I feel like I'm about to be hit by a flying brick when I say this."
  120. [6:47 PM] SwaDM: "But Sigvard actually wrote a comprehensive guide and introduction on planar theory."
  121. [6:48 PM] Kiran: starts laughing.
  122. [6:48 PM] Kiran: "Of course he did."
  123. [6:48 PM] SwaDM: Kiran, you can hear a sudden whoosh, as a boot flies directly towards Libra's head- which she simply dodges by tilting her head to the side, as it sails off towards the coast.
  124. [6:49 PM] Kiran: jerks backward.
  125. [6:49 PM] SwaDM: "It could be a decent place to start, I suppose. What part of Planar lore would you be interested in?"
  126. [6:49 PM] SwaDM: Libra seems completely unphased.
  127. [6:51 PM] Kiran: "I'd need to start with the basics, obviously," continues looking around for the source of the boot, "but for practicality's sake I need to know about rifts, celestials, and elementals, in that order."
  128. [6:51 PM] SwaDM: It is a metal boot. It is probably either Jugo's, Reveno's or Rak - wait, no. Too small to be Raken's.
  129. [6:52 PM] Kiran: It's probably Jugo's. Detachable legs.
  130. [6:53 PM] SwaDM: "I see. Well, I know he wrote about the nature of both the inhabitants of the Lower Planes and the Upper Planes, so that could work. Elementals, you'd have to look across Nerville, or find a source with connections to the Everdark..."
  131. [6:53 PM] SwaDM: "What do you mean by rifts?"
  132. [6:53 PM] Kiran: "Just in case the thinning of the veil between planes and ensuing tears don't close up naturally when the Void is gone."
  133. [6:54 PM] SwaDM: "You mean...there's a name for it."
  134. [6:54 PM] SwaDM: "It isn't rifts - so you're wrong there. What is it..."
  135. [6:54 PM] SwaDM: "Planar..Planar..."
  136. [6:54 PM] SwaDM: "I believe it is either fissures, or bleeding."
  137. [6:54 PM] Kiran: "Bleeding seems like the correct term, given what I saw in the Sacred Valley."
  138. [6:54 PM] SwaDM: "Nerville will have something for you, absolutely."
  139. [6:55 PM] SwaDM: "They have a large study regarding the influence of areas with a large concentration of planar alignment."
  140. [6:55 PM] SwaDM: "Did you know that babies can born as elementally infused races like the Eferetti or the Undine if their parents spend some time in these respective elemental planes, or places with an affinity to them?"
  141. [6:56 PM] Kiran: "Huh. I didn't know that."
  142. [6:56 PM] SwaDM: "It's interesting."
  143. [6:57 PM] Kiran: "It is! I bet that must be a big surprise."
  144. [6:57 PM] SwaDM: "In certain communities, it can be considered as an auspicious birth. It's amusing, at least."
  145. [6:57 PM] SwaDM: "Still - between those sources that I told you, you should bea ble to find what you need."
  146. [6:58 PM] Kiran: "Yep. I'm just writing it down."
  147. [6:58 PM] Kiran: "I hope that the archives in Nerville have survived. If not, maybe I can borrow something from another dimension."
  148. [6:58 PM] Kiran: "Ooh. I should ask Spera to build a library."
  149. [6:59 PM] SwaDM: "She probably has one. I'd imagine, anyway."
  150. [6:59 PM] Kiran: "Maybe."
  151. [6:59 PM] Kiran: "This is a little off-topic, but I also wanted to thank you."
  152. [7:00 PM] SwaDM: "Hm?"
  153. [7:00 PM] Kiran: "For saving me."
  154. [7:00 PM] SwaDM: "You don't need to thank me."
  155. [7:00 PM] Kiran: "And Damien, obviously."
  156. [7:01 PM] Kiran: "I heard you really got hurt while doing it, too."
  157. [7:01 PM] SwaDM: "Nothing serious. As I said, thanks aren't needed - I was just doing my duty. There'd be little point in letting you die right now."
  158. [7:02 PM] Kiran: "Okay. Well, if you won't accept my thanks, then I'll just say that I'm glad you were so resolute in your duty."
  159. [7:02 PM] SwaDM: "Well, now you're making it sound that It'd be best if I accepted your thanks..."
  160. [7:03 PM] Kiran: "Social nuance is hard."
  161. [7:03 PM] SwaDM: "Oh, you have no idea."
  162. [7:03 PM] SwaDM: "However, to put it all aside for a moment..."
  163. [7:03 PM] SwaDM: "You're welcome."
  164. [7:03 PM] SwaDM: "Are you feeling allright?"
  165. [7:04 PM] Kiran: "In what way?"
  166. [7:04 PM] SwaDM: "Some people experienced side-effects or perturbations shortly after immediate ressurection."
  167. [7:05 PM] SwaDM: "They're far rarer on those affected by instantaneous effects, though."
  168. [7:05 PM] Kiran: looks down at himself.
  169. [7:05 PM] SwaDM: "Spells like Breath of Life - or with a similar functionality - have a extremely low rate of post-fatal phantom syndrome, or intense nausea - while other ones like Raise Dead tend to have the resurectee not feeling so well for a while."
  170. [7:06 PM] Kiran: "I haven't noticed anything. And my ability to manage my glimmer seems unaffected."
  171. [7:06 PM] SwaDM: "Quite so. Since the ressurection was quick enough, the Void did not have the opportunity to tinge your soul, as it were."
  172. [7:07 PM] Kiran: "Well, I'm still glad about that."
  173. [7:07 PM] SwaDM: "Naturally."
  174. [7:07 PM] Kiran: "Either way, I'd certainly prefer not to die again."
  175. [7:07 PM] SwaDM: "I would generally recommend most people to avoid death, yes."
  176. [7:09 PM] Kiran: exhales.
  177. [7:09 PM] Kiran: "Say, have you spoken with Avo yet?"
  178. [7:10 PM] SwaDM: "The dragon? I have not, no."
  179. [7:10 PM] Kiran: "Their comment about being able to see the colour and texture of souls is... pretty unusual, honestly."
  180. [7:10 PM] SwaDM: "Actually..."
  181. [7:10 PM] SwaDM: "Less then you might think."
  182. [7:10 PM] Kiran: "I thought maybe it'd be interesting, given what you said- really?"
  183. [7:11 PM] SwaDM: "Souls indeed do have measures of different colors and shapes...from what I understand, anyway. I can't quite see, but I've read about it."
  184. [7:11 PM] SwaDM: "They're influenced by the deeds and codifying emotions of the person."
  185. [7:12 PM] SwaDM: "Now, it is true that you normally cannot observe them so cleanly, but certain spells or races can perceive different spectrums of this color - or certain specialized equipment can highlight it."
  186. [7:12 PM] Kiran: "Huh. Cool! I wonder what mine looks like."
  187. [7:12 PM] SwaDM: "I wouldn't know. For obvious reasons."
  188. [7:13 PM] Kiran: "You want to go find out?"
  189. [7:13 PM] SwaDM: "Are you sure that is wise?"
  190. [7:13 PM] Kiran: "I'm not sure why it wouldn't be."
  191. [7:14 PM] SwaDM: "Fair point, I suppose. Sure. We could ask him."
  192. [7:14 PM] Kiran: "Alright. Let's see..."
  193. [7:14 PM] Kiran: looks around for the giant glowing dragon.
  194. [7:15 PM] SwaDM: The giant glowing dragon is currently laying atop of the central white ruin.
  195. [7:15 PM] Kiran: "Can you sense where he is?"
  196. [7:15 PM] SwaDM: "Loosely, yes."
  197. [7:15 PM] SwaDM: "He has no physical presence, but..."
  198. [7:16 PM] Kiran: "Okay. I'm going to head for the stairs. I still don't have a good feel for what you can sense around you, so if there's anything I can do, please say so."
  199. [7:16 PM] SwaDM: "I'll be fine, don't worry."
  200. [7:17 PM] Kiran: heads for the stairs.
  201. [7:17 PM] SwaDM: Ye can walk up the stairs, with Libra following behind without tripping on anything, thankfully. As you begin reaching thetop of said stairs, Avo turns it's massive head towards you.
  202. [7:18 PM] SwaDM: "...Yes? Can I be of assistance?"
  203. [7:18 PM] Kiran: "Hello! Sorry for disturbing you."
  204. [7:19 PM] Kiran: "Uh- you mentioned earlier that you could see the colour and texture of souls. I was wondering what you can see of mine. And... what that means, if anything?"
  205. [7:19 PM] Kiran: "I've never seen my own soul before."
  206. [7:19 PM] SwaDM: Libra : "...My apologies, but he is...extremely curious."
  207. [7:20 PM] SwaDM: Avo : "...Hah. Oh, it is quite alright. I suppose it certainly would not be something mortals are used to."
  208. [7:20 PM] SwaDM: It lowers it's head closer towards the level of both Kiran and Libra. "Beings that are composed of - or influenced by divine energy generally are able to perceive the ken beyond material. So yes, I see you not how one of your friends may."
  209. [7:21 PM] SwaDM: "However, out of my own amusement, I would propose a small game, mortal. What color do you think you bear, and why?"
  210. [7:21 PM] Kiran: frowns to himself.
  211. [7:22 PM] Kiran: "Are there options? Or am I just choosing whatever I like?"
  212. [7:22 PM] SwaDM: "Whatever you feel is right."
  213. [7:22 PM] SwaDM: "Apologies if it is indulgent - but Arden had asked me the same thing, and I had found it endlessly amusing."
  214. [7:24 PM] Kiran: "Well, the magic that's most personal to me is my runeweaving, and that manifests as silvery smoke and warm reds. And red is my favourite colour. So maybe red?"
  215. [7:24 PM] SwaDM: "..Aaah. No, my boy. I'm afraid you'd be quite wrong."
  216. [7:24 PM] Kiran: "Oh. Okay."
  217. [7:25 PM] SwaDM: "Souls that bear a fierce tinge of red are usually marked with intense levels of personal passion, emotional extremes, or lust."
  218. [7:25 PM] SwaDM: "A fair guess, to be certain, but not a correct one."
  219. [7:26 PM] Kiran: "I guess passion for creation doesn't count."
  220. [7:26 PM] SwaDM: "That would be a different color."
  221. [7:26 PM] SwaDM: "Yours bears a significant whitening across it's palette - bearing a soft shade of purple, interpersed with flickers of yellow."
  222. [7:26 PM] Kiran: "Huh."
  223. [7:27 PM] SwaDM: "Individualism and imagination, marred by hope, joy and naivety, temepered by an inherent kindness of the soul."
  224. [7:27 PM] Kiran: looks thoughtful.
  225. [7:27 PM] Kiran: "I guess that's okay. I like purple too."
  226. [7:28 PM] Kiran: "Thanks!"
  227. [7:28 PM] SwaDM: "You are welcome, mortal."
  228. [7:29 PM] Kiran: "It's okay. You can call me Kiran."
  229. [7:29 PM] SwaDM: "...My apologies. I am aware of your name already, yes. I am but used to that."
  230. [7:29 PM] SwaDM: "Of course, Kiran."
  231. [7:29 PM] Kiran: "Is Avo your real name, or is that just what Arden calls you?"
  232. [7:30 PM] SwaDM: "I do not have a real name per se. The one I ever needed was "The Dragon". Arden did indeed come up with the name Avo, though."
  233. [7:30 PM] SwaDM: "He had slain me with Avalon. I believe it is some form of pun."
  234. [7:30 PM] Kiran: "Hm. I guess that makes sense. So I should call you Avo?"
  235. [7:31 PM] SwaDM: "If you so wish."
  236. [7:31 PM] Kiran: "Well, would you prefer that or The Dragon?"
  237. [7:31 PM] SwaDM: "I do not mind eitherway! But Avo is more expedient."
  238. [7:31 PM] Kiran: "Agreed."
  239. [7:32 PM] Kiran: "Does that all sound like you expected, Libra?"
  240. [7:33 PM] SwaDM: Libra : "...You realize that color perception is far more difficult for me, right?"
  241. [7:33 PM] SwaDM: "But from what I read, loosely, yes."
  242. [7:33 PM] SwaDM: "I had expected tones of yellow, at least. Natural, given your allegiance with Spera."
  243. [7:33 PM] Kiran: "Ohh. That makes sense."
  244. [7:33 PM] Kiran: "Avo, what does grey symbolise when it comes to soul colour?"
  245. [7:34 PM] SwaDM: "It can bear two different meanings ,in a sense."
  246. [7:34 PM] SwaDM: "Either Apathy, or a conflict upon the soul."
  247. [7:36 PM] SwaDM: "It depends on how it is observed. Most people bear at least some form of grey across their souls, because they do not devove themselves to something in any truly meaningful manner - hence apathy."
  248. [7:36 PM] SwaDM: "The conflict, however, is somewhat more complicated. It can mean many things - either one of morality, belief, will or doubt."
  249. [7:37 PM] SwaDM: Libra : "That's about right, yes."
  250. [7:37 PM] Kiran: "Huh. Okay, so not necessarily related to Neviltis in the same way you associated yellow and Spera."
  251. [7:38 PM] SwaDM: Avo : "From what I am aware of, Nevilitis is aligned with conflict, no?"
  252. [7:38 PM] Kiran: "Yes, but you described it as apathy or internal conflict, rather than conflict itself."
  253. [7:38 PM] Kiran: "I would've thought that Neviltis would be conflict with something external."
  254. [7:39 PM] SwaDM: "Hm. Well, I do suppose it could be both. External conflict does not bear any particular color- it depends wholly upon what is the reason for that self-same conflict that an individual is involved in."
  255. [7:40 PM] Kiran: frowns.
  256. [7:40 PM] Kiran: "So Neviltis is conflicted internally?"
  257. [7:40 PM] Kiran: glances at Libra.
  258. [7:40 PM] SwaDM: Libra : "Don't even ask me regarding this."
  259. [7:40 PM] SwaDM: "I have no clue."
  260. [7:40 PM] Kiran: "That seems surprising."
  261. [7:41 PM] SwaDM: Libra : "It could instead mean some measure of apathy? I wouldn't know."
  262. [7:42 PM] Kiran: "I guess maybe the any means necessary approach he has."
  263. [7:42 PM] Kiran: "That seems like a sort of apathy."
  264. [7:42 PM] SwaDM: All that Libra can manage is a light shrug.
  265. [7:42 PM] Kiran: "You know, I honestly expected you guys to know more about him than us."
  266. [7:42 PM] SwaDM: "You do remember what I told you, right?"
  267. [7:43 PM] Kiran: "Yeah, but still."
  268. [7:43 PM] SwaDM: "He's extremely direct and to the point. He doesn't really waste any breath."
  269. [7:43 PM] SwaDM: "Not the kind of person you can really get to know."
  270. [7:43 PM] SwaDM: "We follow his orders because we believe that survival is worth sacrifices, not because he's...personable."
  271. [7:43 PM] SwaDM: "...The opposite with Spera, I'm sure."
  272. [7:44 PM] Kiran: "I don't quite agree."
  273. [7:44 PM] Kiran: "We don't follow Spera because she's a good person - though it doesn't hurt. And I don't think any of us would argue that survival isn't worth sacrificing for."
  274. [7:45 PM] Kiran: "We only disagree on what we'll sacrifice for it."
  275. [7:45 PM] SwaDM: "Well, yes."
  276. [7:47 PM] Kiran: "I've often found myself wondering what things would've been like if I'd wound up on your side."
  277. [7:47 PM] Kiran: "But I don't think I would've gotten along with everyone to start with."
  278. [7:47 PM] SwaDM: "To be fair, did you even get along with everyone to start with in your current group?"
  279. [7:47 PM] Kiran: "I still don't get along with everyone in my current group."
  280. [7:48 PM] SwaDM: "Well. Then there we go, then."
  281. [7:48 PM] Kiran: chuckles.
  282. [7:48 PM] SwaDM: "Honestly, I can't imagine that things would've changed that much."
  283. [7:48 PM] SwaDM: "I doubt Neviltis would've sent you to do anything..."
  284. [7:48 PM] SwaDM: "We'll go with "dubious" for your perception."
  285. [7:48 PM] Kiran: "Maybe not."
  286. [7:49 PM] Kiran: "Right. I might come bother you again later, if that's okay Avo. But I said I'd go talk to Adalet earlier, so I need to go do that."
  287. [7:49 PM] SwaDM: Avo : "By all means!"
  288. [7:50 PM] SwaDM: "Do have a good rest, the both of you."
  289. [7:50 PM] Kiran: "Thanks!"
  290. [7:50 PM] Kiran: "Do you want to come with, Libra, or would you prefer to get back to your book?"
  291. [7:51 PM] SwaDM: Libra : "I think I'd prefer to go back to my book - given how you two have been, he'd probably appreciate the privacy."
  292. [7:52 PM] Kiran: "Okay. Hope you enjoy it."
  293. [7:52 PM] SwaDM: "Thank you, Kiran."
  294. [7:52 PM] Kiran: raises his hand, and then pauses.
  295. [7:52 PM] Kiran: "I'm waving goodbye."
  296. [7:52 PM] SwaDM: Libra pauses - and then lets out a short snicker.
  297. [7:52 PM] SwaDM: "You're learning, at least."
  298. [7:53 PM] Kiran: "As always."
