  + FORGETFUL, CLUMSY | if there is one word you can use to describe huang xinmei, it's forgetful. it's not an exaggeration to say that xinmei would forget her head if it weren't attached to her shoulders. she has a terrible memory, and cannot remember what she did five minutes ago, let alone remember any important information. her memory is definitely not her strong point. she's always leaving things around and forgetting where she put them, or forgetting her passwords (which is why she's gotten into a habit of writing them all down and hiding them in her second desk drawer). she's always loosing her things because she can't remember were she put them, and it's honestly a wonder that she's such a god hacker. her brother has commented before, saying that xinmei has a "selective memory", which might not be that far off the truth. the only things that xinmei can remember is those to do with numbers and coding, and hacking and encrypting. reciting the first twenty digits of pi is easy for her, recounting what she ate for breakfast is not. she's also very clumsy, and to be honest, a liability to any sort of physical activity involved with saving the world. xinmei is always knocking things over, elbowing the door frame, or tripping over thin air. her knees and elbows are always covered in bruises from her latest tumble, and it's gotten to the point where some might consider it alarming. it's not her fault that she seems to be a total klutz and can trip over everything and anything (or nothing) in sight. her phone screen is always cracked from the amount of times that she's dropped it on the floor, and she's lucky that the screen of her laptop is still intact. if you want to keep your values from being broken into a million pieces, you probably shouldn't let her look after it. or leave it within a twenty foot radius of huang xinmei.

  + INTELLIGENT, PROBLEM SOLVER | despite her forgetful nature, huang xinmei is actually a very intelligent person. it's no secret that she's reigning at the top of the academic chart in most of her classes. she's actually a lot smarter than she looks. and she has to be, seeing as she's such a talented hacker, and a bit of a tech geek. she'd be nowhere near as good as she is know if she was an idiot who didn't know anything about computers. people assume that because she's clumsy and unorganised, she's not very smart, but xinmei is very god at proving people wrong. she relies mostly on her natural smarts to get her through things when her memory fails her, but she's also extremely logical, always figuring out the best way to go about things. she has an iq that's near genius level, something that surprises a lot of people, because they don't expect her to be as smart as she is, because she's known for being messy and unorganised, and every just assumes that the thoughts inside her head are the same. xinmei is also a good problem solver. she's always been good at solving mathematic problems, and decoding things, but she's actually really good at applying this mind set to the real world, too. she doesn't like to dwell on all her problems and let them loom over her in the background until they get too big to stop. instead, xinmei is the type of person to sit down and figure out the best way to go about her problem, and how to fix things. she's not the sort of person to ignore her problems until they go away, and instead, she'd much rather prefer to get rid of it entirely as quickly as possible. this is a good mindset to have, because at least she doesn't dwell on the what if's and could have's, and just removes the problem entirely.

  + QUIET, SHY | compared to some of the other slots, xinmei is definitely more on the quiet and shy side. she's never truly been good at dealing with humans, which is partly why she's always been into computers. to xinmei, a computer screen and software is much easier to decode than any human emotions. she's not good with social interaction, and it shows. she's a quiet person by nature, and doesn't really talk unless she has something that needs to be said. the most she talks is when she's nervous, and all the rambling and word vomit comes tumbling out. otherwise, she's a generally quiet person. which does have some advantages, because xinmei is sometimes so quiet that people forget she's even there. she has a bit of a natural talent for eavesdropping without even meaning too, because it's surprisingly easy to get information out of people without trying because they simply forget that she was ever there in the first place. she tends to shy away from conversations a lot, and is usually that one person who sits there quickly and panics when suddenly asked her opinion. honestly, a lot of people find it cute and endearing, and it makes people want to protect her – her brother especially. she's very socially awkward, and people who talk a lot make her feel overwhelmed. she's not bold or confident, and often finds people who are very extroverted intimidating. xinmei is definitely on the more introverted side of the spectrum. a lot of the time, her parents worry over the amount of time she spends hunched over her computer, but xinmei just isn't good with social interaction, and would prefer an inanimate any day – especially one with wifi.

  + UNORGANISED, ALL OVER THE PLACE | along with being forgetful, xinmei doesn't really help herself much because she's actually a very unorganised person. xinmei is in no way a neat freak, because she's probably the messiest person out of al of them. she hates cleaning with a passion, and because of it, things tend to accumulate over time and build up, and then she's left with a mess all over her bedroom floor, so bad that she can't even see the carpet. this, paired with how forgetful she is, is probably the reason why she can never find anything that she's looking for, and is always losing her things. she's also a major procrastinator. forget giving her weeks in advance to complete a project, xinmei is more likely to stay up all night the day before it's due to finish it, having spent that past six weeks doing anything and everything but her project. it's a serious problem. xinmei could probably be described as a bit all over the place, especially when it comes to talking. as she's more of a shy person, she doesn't handle being put on the spot very well, and is known to ramble on a lot when put under pressure. for the people who very rarely ever hear her speak, it's almost comical how many words she can fit into a short amount of time once she starts rambling, and she has the ability to go completely off topic in the span of a couple of seconds. she doesn't really handle her nerves very well, and they tend to come out in the form of word vomit. she hates public speaking with a passion, as she has a habit of going off topic, even when she has a speech already prepared. don't ever automatically assume that xinmei is a quiet person, because even though she's quiet most of the time, she can ramble on quite a bit if you make her anxious enough.

  + huang xinmei was born as the second and last child in her family, and right from the beginning, it was determined that she was always going to be the baby. even, now at the age of twenty, her parents and older brother are still insistent on treating her like she's seven years old. and sure, she might be really shy, but she's not a baby. however, she is extremely thankful for her family, and loves them for everything that they've done for her. even though she was the second child, her parents made sure never to compare her to her older brother, and it might be the reason why the two have such a good relationship now. xinmei and her older brother, xinwei, get along really well, and are the opposite of the fighting siblings that you see in all the movies. her brother is actually a really nice person, and is always looking out for her to make sure that she's okay and that no one is bothering her. even though he's only a year older than her, he likes to act like he's way older, and xinmei goes along with it to humour him. however, she's just glad to know that her brother has got her back no matter what. growing up, her antisocial behaviour kind of prevented her from having many friends. xinmei wasn't really good at talking to other people, and her habit of clamming up whenever someone tried to make conversation tended to put the other kids off. no one thought it was worthwhile, going through all the effort trying to befriend her. it never really bothered xinmei much, though. she always had her computer, even if it probably wasn't a healthy obsession. she's not really sure where her love and her talent for hacking came from, since both of her parents are law abiding citizens, and would probably have a heart attack if they knew exactly what xinmei was doing on her computer all the time. her older brother, xinwei, is the only one who knows about her somewhat illegal activities. it's not like she's hurting anyone. she's just ... finding out secrets that she's not really supposed to know.

  + if there is one thing you can say about chan, it is that he is good at keeping everyone under control. he's like a natural born leader, and has the type of personality that makes people want to listen and follow him. he's a naturally calming guy, and is often wearing a smile, something that puts the people around him at ease. however, he's also extremely hard working, and is the type of person to push himself past his limits. he's not one to give up, and is known to stay up until ungodly hours of the morning trying to finish something, unless someone comes and forcibly drags him away from his work (something that xinmei has become accustomed to doing). he's usually responsible, and always tends to put his friends and family first, making sure that they're okay before he worries about himself.

– FIRST IMPRESSION OF HIM:
  + he was relaxing to be around, and seemed to have an aura of calmness. since xinmei had absolutely no idea what was going on, and wasn't exactly taking being thrown into this situation greatly, it was nice to see a smiling face, especially when he turned to smile at her, with his dimples and all.

– FIRST IMPRESSION OF HER:
  + he thought she was adorable. he's not cliche enough to say that it was love at first sight, but he did think she was very attractive, and he wanted to become close with her, even though she seemed to be shying away from everyone around her.

– STORY LINE  BETWEEN YOU TWO:
  + the pair had never met prior to this whole prophecy thing, given that they lived in different districts, but xinmei won't deny that she felt comfortable around him from the beginning, which is unusual for her, as it usually takes her a while to warm up to people. however, with chan, she immediately felt at ease around him, even though she knew absolutely nothing about him. chan seemed to ooze an aura of calmness that really made xinmei feel less stressed about the whole situation. he, on the other hand, thinks that xinmei is absolutely adorable. it's not a stretch to say that he was completely smitten from the get-go, even if he won't admit it, and wants to do everything that he can to make xinmei feel at ease given the situation. they kind of become friends towards the middle, after a lot of insistence on chan's part. since he's attracted to her, he really wants to get to know her. xinmei, however, is a bit awkward about it, because she's not good at social interactions, and she's never really had a crush on anyone before, nor has she had someone try so hard to be her friend. people usually give up after a while, deciding that she's not worth it. chan, however, doesn't seem to be giving up anytime soon, and xinmei eventually let's him past her shy exterior, and they become really close, because he's one of the few people that xinmei fully trusts.
 + at the end, it becomes so obvious that they're into each other that everyone can see it. from the way he always goes to make sure she's okay first (even if she's not in harm's way), and is always offering her his jacket when it's cold and making sure she's eaten. even xinmei's obvious about it, from the way she always seems to be looking in his direction, and keeping an extra special eye on him to make sure that he doesn't get hurt, and tends to have a constant pink flush on her cheeks whenever she around him. it isn't until he almost gets seriously injured that xinmei freaks out, because she was so worried that something was going to happen to him, that she finally acts on said feelings. she's so relieved that he's okay that she just goes straight in and kisses him without thinking. it takes her a moment to come to her senses after she's pulled away, and she panics because she's not sure what he's going to think. she's halfway there to apologising, before he slips an arm around her neck and pulls her back down to kiss him again. they've never really confirmed what it is that they are, but it's obvious to everyone that they're genuinely into each other, and no one would even think of trying to come between them.


– REQUESTED SCENES WITH LOVE INTEREST:
  + xinmei hacks into the social media accounts of all his ex-girlfriends for fun, and then starts to interrogate him about it, and he's just really confused as to where she got this information from, because he knew that she was a good hacker, but he didn't think she'd go as far as to do something like that

   + chan comforting xinmei after she admits that she really misses her brother, and that she's scared for what's going to happen, because she's not really sure how this whole thing is going to end, and he just awkwardly puts his arm around her, but xinmei takes it as an excuse to snuggle up to him, and he can't stop grinning

   + woojin giving chan evil looks when he's too close to xinmei, because her brother asked him to look after her, but xinmei thinks it's ridiculous, and grabs onto chan's arm to keep him from leaving, and it ends in a stare off between xinmei and woojin, while chan's just sitting there awkwardly


– REQUESTED SCENES WITH OTHER SLOTS:
   + everyone arguing about how they're going to get into a building that is full of security cameras without being seen, and xinmei's just in the background, already disabling the cameras while everyone else is arguing, and when they finally stop, she just casually announces that she's finished
