Creation Myth
In the beginning, Valamere was an endless ocean, filled with nothing but a single entity. Their name has been lost to time, but they are now referred to now as The Primis. It is believed that the Primis was dissatisfied with the world the way it was and decided to do something about it. He gave his flesh to create the lands, and his blood to populate them with life. His Spirit meanwhile he split into 9 pieces The First Piece looked upon the world and the people upon it and was dissatisfied with what he saw. Everyone was too peaceful, there was no need to grow. So he created the world's first flame and from that flame he created monsters. These monsters attacked the people and caused their peace to be shattered. He looked upon the chaos and flames and smiled as he declared himself Mivarus, God of The Chaotic Flame. The Second Piece looked upon this chaos and destruction and was dissatisfied. He looked down on the humans and pitied them. They were beautiful creatures that needed to be protected. So he taught them the use of his power to fight back against the monsters. He also gave them the knowledge to create weapons. The humans fought back the monsters but once the monsters were subdued, they turned the weapons on each other. The Second Piece intervened and gave them a set of rules to follow, and created the first laws. The Second Piece looked upon the law he created and smiled as he declared itself Abbarae, God Of The Lawful Blade. The Third Peace looked upon the people, who were tired of violence and was dissatisfied. She created a great forest where violence was forbidden and welcomed all who wanted a reprieve from the conflict. Mivarus disliked this boring grove but respected it, disallowing his monsters from attacking. The Third Piece looked upon this grove and smiled as she declared herself Etia, Goddess of The Silken Grove. The Fourth Piece looked upon the land and saw that there was nothing for the people to do but sit on their thumbs and fight and she was dissatisfied. She snuck into the Silken Grove and cut down a tree to craft the world's first lute. She then strummed the world's first chord, bringing music to the quiet world. The people took after her and created their own instruments out of trees not inside the Silken Grove. The Fourth Piece looked upon the world of music and smiled as she declared herself Lymstrus, Goddess Of The Discordant Chord. The Fifth Piece looked upon the law created by Abbarae and was dissatisfied, but saw opportunity. He went to people in this world who disliked the restrictions of the laws and taught them how to twist it to their own ends. How to exploit the petty laws to benefit them and accomplish their goals by using others as stepping stones. Abbarae hated his methods and saw them as perversions of law. He saw a possible ally in Lymstrus and told her about the corruption of law preformed by the Fifth Piece and Lymstrus taught her disciples to strike out against these corrupters if they are willing. The Fifth Piece watched the forces of Law and Chaos go against each other and smiled as he declared himself Agmir, God Of The Weighted Scales. The Sixth Piece saw this chaos and was dissatisfied. Why should people fight for their goals or for others when they can fight for themselves? So she told those people sick of petty ideals and told them instead to fight for themselves, to do everything they do to further themselves in the world to live in comfort. She looked upon the people stepping on other's for their own comfort and smiled as she declared herself Ementa, Goddess of the Eternal Flame. The Seventh Piece saw these selfish people and was dissatisfied with what he saw. He found people with comfort and kind hearts, and implored them to share their gifts with the world. He believed that charity will overcome greed every time. He looked at the giving people, and smiled as he declared himself Yweyr, God of the Selfless Hand. Meanwhile The Eighth Piece saw the charity and was dissatisfied. She found people who wanted everything for themselves and told them to take what is theirs. She created the first bandits and set them upon the world. She looked at these thefts and smiled as she declared herself Vefris, Goddess of the Selfish Mask. The Final Piece looked upon all this creation and frowned, but he also smiled. He loved the chaos, but also the law. He could not bear to place himself on a side. He was torn, and sat in contemplation before deciding on law and goodness. He declared himself Serga, God of the Righteous Head. Abbarae smiled at him and was glad that his brother had chosen the right path. Mivarus saw the conflict inside of Serga however, and constantly tempted him. Over time, Serga gave in and declared himself as Agres, God of the Crushing Tail. He had already declared himself however, and this caused a schism inside of him. He would be forever bound to switch between his two aspects, and became The Split Gods Of The Sideways Coin.
