The New Girl Part 1

>You are Anon, a normal high school student, or rather as normal as a high school student can be after the collapse of Satsuki Kiryuuin's rule over all of Japan's high schools.
>It's been a month since everyone worldwide found themselves naked in the streets, coincidentally it's around that time Honouji academy was destroyed and it's tyrannical student council president disappeared.
>At any rate life was relatively normal, however, that was about to change.
>"We have a new student who will be joining us for the rest of the year. I expect you will make her feel welcome"
>You were half asleep but hearing the teacher mention a new student woke you up, after all it's not every day a new student shows up.
>You look to the front of the class to see a girl with short black hair with a single crimson lock sweeping to the left of her face.
>She's definitely attractive, though her uniform seems odd, red with black trim, strange compared to the beige of the regular school uniforms here.
>Perhaps she hasn't got a new one yet and just wore her old uniform in the meantime, you think.
>She gives the class a little wave and heads for an empty desk.
>The empty desk.
>The empty desk in front of you.
>Well, at least you don't look like a lonely bitch over in your corner of the class.
>Unfortunately you get the feeling she'll actually try talking to you.
>And about 5 seconds after getting that feeling it turns out you were right. She turns around and rests her arm on your desk.
>"Hey, what's your name?"
Uh... Anon.
>"Anon huh? Well you can call me Ryūko."
Nice to meet you...
>You mutter, hoping she turns around.
>"Can I borrow a pencil? I didn't exactly prepare this morning."
>You fork over a spare pencil and resume the task at hand, catching up on sleep.

>You wake up just as the lunch bell rings, and after stretching your arms you open your desk to retrieve your lunch. >Upon closing your desk you find the transfer student looking down on you.
>"Have a nice nap, huh?"
Uh... Yeah, I guess so. You need something?
>Ryūko shrugs her shoulders and grins.
>"I just thought I'd let you know that we're partners for a research project in science."
>That revelation does two things.
>First, it pisses you off that you have to do a research project.
>Second, it startles you to learn that you're partnered with the new girl right off the bat.
W-what? Why?
>That came out more derisively than you intended...
>Ryūko rolls her eyes and sits back in her desk.
>"You were asleep, and everyone else had partnered up leaving the two of us. So I guess we're partners."
>You sigh and eat your lunch.
I doubt today can get much more inconvenient...
