REAL LIFE¿

◆ PERSONALITY:
     Jae Kyung has always been self-willed despite growing up in an environment where his parents were harsh when it came to his future. He's not afraid to say what's on his mind, often coming across as an extreme realist. Jae Kyung has had bad experiences when it comes to lies and he always gives an honest outlook on whatever the situation. His brutal honesty tends to easily offend those who don't know him well and can cause problems with people. Along with the expressionless look he always seem to have, Jae Kyung isn't the type of person to stay quiet when people comment negatively about him.

     He's good when it comes to word plays and has a certain 'savagery' about him that often shut up those who get the courage to say something offensive to his face. Although he doesn't like admitting it, he tries to watch his words and his actions when it comes to his friends. He doesn't want to lose a good friend anytime soon and will willingly set aside any romantic feelings if he starts to develop them towards one of his friends.

     Jae Kyung takes his life seriously and tackles any challenges that come his way with a strong mindset to come out successful. He has worked hard to get where he's at in life and doesn't want to jeopardize his job in any way. Although he may come off as a serious realist, he does let loose from time to time, agreeing to go drinking with his co-workers or hanging out with his friends. He had a rough start in life, but he overcame all those obstacles and tries to live his life to the fullest.

◆ BACKGROUND:
     When Jae Kyung was born, his biological mother gave him up for adoption and cut all ties with him as he was sent to a foster family. He'd spend three to four years in each foster home, moving from school to school and never really making any close friends because he would have to move. He was a studious child and was self-determined to succeed in school so he could have a successful life when he got older. His social worker had given him a leather bound journal with a the tree of life on its cover. Jae Kyung never parted with the journal and often drew whatever came to mind in that journal of his.

     Whenever he was placed in a bad home, he ignored the foster parents and stayed at school or at the public library as long as he could so he wouldn't have to go back to his foster home. Jae Kyung had very little possessions because things always got lost if he had too many things. He focused on his school work and received high marks. He had a skill in drawing now that he had been doing it for a few years now and tried to work towards a career that could allow him to use those skills.

     Jae Kyung soon grew up and graduated from high school. He had become a legal adult now so he went to college for two years before getting a job as a manga editor. In college, he had learned the Japanese language and moved to Japan to be closer to his job. The move was strange, but nothing new to him. From late manga authors to nearing deadlines, Jae Kyung was often hurrying the manga author he was in charge of to finish the new chapter of their manga. Soon, a webtoon called Knock had gained a lot of popularity back in his home country. He didn't think much of the webtoon and grew to dislike the webtoon since it offered little to imagination in his opinion.

     They have comfortable relationship. Jae Kyung appreciates their friendship and lets loose when around THE ACE. They'd both hang out and just chill, watching Netflix or listening to music. They have a strong sense of trust and know that they can rely on one another. Jae Kyung appreciates that THE ACE has stuck with him for so long and would like to keep their friendship for a long time. He just hopes that THE ACE will stick by him and count on him for anything.

◆ WHAT'S YOUR FIGHTING STYLE?:
     Since he's very competitive and hates to lose a fight, Jae Kyung usually manipulates the shadows around him or if he has to, his own shadow to take control of the person he's fighting against. He can also use simple attacks like shadow punch or a shadow sword to help him in a fight. He also tends to combine his shadow magic with a bit of fire to boost the amount of damage he can inflict. He'll use any means to win, but not go as far as to use other boosts to help him in a fight.
◆ WHAT'S YOUR SIGNATURE MOVE?: Shadow Sword (it's like a katana, but it's all black and black mist comes out of it)

◆ HAVE YOU KILLED ANYONE?: No, because he believes that everyone should have a second chance to redeem themselves.

◆ WHOS YOUR RIVAL: THE LEGEND
◆ WHY ARE YOU RIVALS?: Jae Kyung doesn't like that he uses moves that the main characters use. He feels like a person should make their own style of fighting so they can change it or effectively use it as it suits them. He finds THE LEGEND's skills to be a cheat and they often butt heads when it comes to battles. It also proves to be a disadvantage to know the main characters' moves since everybody knows about them and can exploit their weaknesses. Jae Kyung often bickers with THE LEGEND due to this and it turns into a battle. Jae Kyung is lowkey jealous that THE LEGEND memorized those moves just by reading the webtoon.

◆ DO YOU LIKE THE WEBTOON?: Jae Kyung doesn't think there's anything special about Knock. He hates that it limits imagination and became so popular in his home country.

◆ WHEN DID YOU START LIKING HIM?:
     Jae Kyung started to develop feelings for Lee Sang when they had finally met and develop a friendship. He had heard about how mysterious he was and that he held immense strength. Jae Kyung believed that people were exaggerating and kept an eye out for the secretive member of IMFACT. When they formed a sense a friendship, Jae Kyung wanted to deny the feelings he was starting to develop, but eventually came to terms with it, but vowed to not act upon his feelings unless Lee Sang was okay with it.

◆ DO YOU END UP TOGETHER AT ONE POINT?:
     They weren't really together, but they weren't just friends. There were moments where they felt the attraction they had towards each other and acted upon it, but it was sort of an in the moment action. It was sort of 'as long as this last' type of relationship where they both recognized each other's feeling, but didn't really put a label on their relationship in case something ever happened.
