- The Battle of Badon Hill begins and it goes SOUTH for the Saxons immediately. Merlin’s throwing fireballs that are turning men into smoking skeletons, Kay’s crushing people with their own horses and Arthur on his own just killed 970 men in one day, breaking his sword and having to get a quick replacement and immediately then fought some more over the course of three days and nights without stopping for rest. This is the carnage the Saxon King walks up to and tells Arthur to see him one on one with the straps. Keep in mind, Arthur is currently sitting atop a literal mountain of all the Saxons he’s killed. The Saxon King was brave, but not smart is what I’m saying.
