- Background: Alessia Russo Moon, also known as Moon Suyeon, was born on 13 September 1996 in London, Ontario, the oldest of three children born to a Korean father and an Italian-Canadian mother. At a young age, Ali discovered a love of music, and appeared in her first musical, "The Little Mermaid", at the age of 8, playing one of Ariel's sisters. She slowly grew more immersed in music, playing the violin in the middle school band and playing the lead role of Dorothy Gale in her school's production of "The Wizard of Oz" at the age of 13. At age 14, Ali auditioned for S.M. Entertainment, and was accepted.
- Personality: Ali is extremely dedicated and hardworking. She always knows when she's doing well, and when she needs to improve. She has a great deal of enthusiasm for her craft that can't be contained. However, Ali can be extremely hard on herself. She often doesn't feel entirely satisfied with her progress, and always feels like she can improve. This isn't an entirely bad quality, but sometimes she is unrealistically hard on herself and ends up constantly unsatisfied.
