  1. Quadriflow script tutorial
  2.
  3. Quadriflow probably is going to be added as a quad extractor remesher soon (similar to ZRemehser). I have the C code ready to be integrated with Blender but I still need to figure out how to update the cmake files and dependencies in order to build it. Meanwhile, you can try the results it produces using this script. The final version is going to be the same but (hopefully) a bit faster and with vertex color and mask reprojection support. You can see Quadriflow in action here: https://twitter.com/pablodp606/status/1144585649401597957
  4.
  5. The script is just exporting the mesh as an obj, executing Quadriflow and importing the result back. You can easily do this process manually by calling Quadriflow from the command line, but having it implemented in the script is more convenient. In order to use it on Windows:
  6.
  7.
  8. Make sure you have the latest version of Blender 2.8 official or the lastest sculpt-mode-features branch build (if it fails on importing the obj it's because older versions have a bug)
  9.
  10. Download both quadriflow.exe and tbb.dll from this link: https://blenderartists.org/t/bakemyscan-open-source-toolbox-for-asset-optimization/1133347/47 . You can also try to build Quadriflow yourself for your platform.
  11.
  12. Put quadriflow.exe and tbb.dll in the same folder with read/write permissions. A new folder in your desktop should be fine. In my case C:\\Users\\Pablo\\Desktop\\quadriflow
  13.
  14. Open Blender, go to the script tab and create a new script. Copy the contents of the following link: https://pastebin.com/DJVyCQ8u
  15.
  16. In the line wich stats by QUADRIFLOW_PATH, write the path of the folder where you extracted quadriflow.exe, like this: QUADRIFLOW_PATH = "C:\\Users\\Pablo\\Desktop\\quadriflow"
  17.
  18. Press the Run Script button in the top right corner
  19.
  20. You should now have a new tab in the object_data panel (where the openVDB voxel remesh is). You can run Quadriflow from there.
  21.
  22. For more information check Quadriflow on Github: https://github.com/hjwdzh/QuadriFlow
  23.
  24. You can also download the lasted sculpt-mode-features build from this post.
  25.
  26. Thank you!
