- >Sayori finally beats the Taurus demon.
- >Walking to the other side of the bridge and down the stairs, she finds Solaire
- >"Ah, hello. You don't look Hollow, far from it!"
- >Solaire introduces himself to Sayori.
- >"Hi! I'm Sayori! I was just passing through, I like your armor though! It looks so cool!"
- >Solaire Chuckles a bit. "Aha, well aren't you a chipper one? Rare thing in these times, I hope that doesn't get you down though."
- >"Not at all! What about you Mr. Solaire? What are you doing over here?"
- >"Ah, i was merely gazing at the sun."
- >Sayori stares as well, feeling inspired by it's awe.
- >"The sun really is pretty right here, isn't it?"
- >"Isn't it? The sun is a wondrous body, like a magnificent father!"
- >"If only I could be so gloriously incandescent..."
- >"Ehehe~, you talk funny Mr. Solaire."
- >"Ah, I could say the same thing about you. Here, take this."
- >Sayori gets the white soapstone
- >"What can I do with this?"
- >Solaire gives his shpiel
- >"Oh ok! Thank you!"
- >Sayori made a friend that day!
- >Sayori hums happily to herself as she crosses the bridge in front of her
- >She steps on the bodies burnt to a crisp without an afterthought, as she was too busy thinking of her newfound friend
- >Sayori hums too loudly too notice the Hellkite Drake zooming by at lightspeed
- >The dragon breathes fire on the entire platform, destroying everything on it except our heroine
- >"Awawawawawawa!" Sayori leaps into the air.
- >"My butt is on fire! Ahhhhh!"
- >Sayori leaps into the underpass, shielded from the dragon's hot breath.
- >"Whew, that was close! Good thing nothing got burnt."
- >Sayori checks her pockets and finds an old, worn talisman
- >The warmth coming from the small trinket reminds her of her friend, and of Anon back home.
- >Sayori hugs the talisman to her chest and kneels down, and immediately the burn wounds on her behind start to heal.
- >"Huh? I feel, better, somehow..."
- >"I'm gonna take good care of you from now on!"
- >Sayori puts the trinket back into her pocket and rests by the bonfire.
- >"I feel like this thing is going to be important later on, and so is that Solaire guy."
- >Sayori's faith in herself and her friends increase, giving her hope on her journey.
- >Sayori levels up to level 13!
- >with her confidence restored, Sayori goes up the stairs again.
- >as she gets up, the dragon readies another blast again
- >Sayori quickly moves to a blind spot in front of the stairs, dodging the flames.
- >"Man, this dragon sure is mean!" Sayori stamps her foot as she thinks for a time.
- >She closes her eyes hard, lost in thought, waiting for an answer to come up
- >As she opens her eyes, she sees a giant red nose looking at her.
- >She looks up to find the dragon face to face with her, sniffing her and detecting it's prey.
- >"uh, uh, uaaaaaaaah!" Sayori bolts away, narrowly escaping the dragon's red hot breath once more.
- >huffing, she finds a bonfire to rest at as the dragon flies away, unable to find it's meal.
- >Out of the corner of her eye, she notices a broken statue relishing in the sun.
- >"Hey... this feels, familiar somehow...:"
- >Sayori kneels down and examines the statue's remains
- >She remembers her friend Solaire once more, and looks up at the sun.
- >The sun really is pretty, she thought to herself...
- >All of a sudden, Sayori felt a tingling from her belt!
- >No, you pervs! Sayori's talisman is teeming with lightning!
- >Sayori grabs the talisman and holds it towards the light to get a better look at it
- >to her surprise, a bolt of lightning protrudes out from her hands!
- >Sayori throws the lightning away, keeping the talisman in her hand
- >She breathes, and looks at her hands.
- >She feels the power of lightning course through her veins, and tosses another bolt of lightning.
- >Sayori has learned lightning spear!
- >Praise the sun!
- >Sayori fights her way through the undead parish
- >She finds she's doing a lot better with her miracles than she is with her mace
- >She finds a boar, clad in metal armor
- >"Awwww!" Sayori gushes over the boar
- >The boar starts to drag it's feet on the ground
- >"Uh oh" Sayori jumps out of the way of the boar
- >"Mr. Boar that's not very nice!" Sayori bops it on the nose with the hilt of her mace
- >The boar stops, confused.
- >He sees this cute, bubbly girl scolding him
- >It makes him angry
- >The boar begins to charge again until Sayori puts her hand on his head
- >"there there, you don't have to be so angry now do you?"
- >The boar starts to calm down
- >It brushes up against sayori with it's cheek
- >"Ehehe, good boy good boy."
- >Sayori pets the boar for a little bit, removing its helmet to see its exposed head.
- >"alright, I have to go, but be a good boy, okay? Don't hurt anyone else!"
- >The boar grunts happily in response
- >Sayori continues along her way
- >She finally makes it to the old building where the bell of awakening lies
- >She heads down a narrow corridor leading into a smaller building
- >Sayori notices the "Clink! Clink!" of production off in the distance
- >Carefully, sayori makes her way down the stairs.
- >"Oh, hello. You must be a new arrival, I'm Andre, of Astora."
- >"Oh, hello! My name's Sayori, I'm not from here either. What'cha up to?"
- >"Ah just tinkerin with some old weapons, makin 'em shine again."
- >"Ooh, pretty! You make a lot of cool stuff Mr. Andre!"
- >"Ah well aren't you just the cheeriest little lass! Why thank you very much"
- >"Here, why don't I take that from you real quick"
- >Andre takes Sayori's small mace, and polishes it a bit.
- >"There, that should make things a bit easier on ya."
- >Ok, thanks Mister!" Sayori trods off.
- >"Well, ain't she a peach, heheh... won't last here a god damned minute..." Andre goes back to his tools as Sayori readies herself for the rest of her journey
- >Sayori continues on her trek
- >She heads inside the old church building and is greeted by a knight in steel armor.
- >Hello Mister! What's your name? Mine's Sayo-"
- >Sayori jumps out of the way as the large man silently crashes his mace down to the ground
- >"Hey! That's not very nice!"
- >Sayori and the berenike knight do battle, and eventually Sayori knocks him down.
- >"Sorry Mr. Knight, but you made me!"
- >Sayori heads up the stairs and finds an individual with a trident
- >Sayori learned her lesson from the knight, and readies her shield
- >Immediately, the man starts firing white beams of magic at her
- >She ducks out of the way, and gets surrounded by a group of glowing hollows
- >"you all look like the guys in Anon's manga!" Sayori tells the mindless undead
- >She strikes down the undead, and fights the channeler
- >the channeler keeps backing away and firing blasts of energy at Sayori
- >"Hey, fight fair!"
- >Sayori bashes the channeler on the head, and it falls
- >behind it, she notices a set of stairs leading upward.
- >Sayori heads up the stairs, and finds a barricade in front of a well lit room
- >Sayori destroys the barrier and walks up to the small cage
- >"Ah, hello... As you can see, I'm in a bit of a predicament... would you mind freeing me from this place?"
- >"Sure thing!" Sayori fumbles in her pocket for keyring, and pulls out the strange key she got earlier
- >She undoes the lock, and the man gets up
- >finally, I can get back to work... keheheheheh!
- >Sayori leaves the cell
- >"What a nice man!" Sayori thinks to herself
- >She climbs up the ladders to get to the top of the church
- >As she does, she notices a brightly glowing signature on the ground that reads "Knight Solaire"
- >As she touches the signature, it starts to glow
- >Sayori stares wide-eyed as Solaire's image rises up from the ground
- >He does his famous pose and Sayori joins him
- >The two look at each other, and prepare to enter the fog.
- >Sayori and Solaire walk through the fog, talisman in hand.
- >From atop the bell, one of the stone statues comes to life, the rust crackling off of it as it leaps off of the ground
- >it growls at Sayori and Solaire, and rushes towards them
- >Sayori and Solaire chuck spear after spear towards it
- >The gargoyle knocks Sayori off her feet.
- >Sayori yelps in pain as Solaire looks toward her.
- >"Back, fiend! you will not harm a maiden of the sun!"
- >Solaire strikes at the gargoyle's tail with his sword, cutting it off in one fell swoop
- >the gargoyle yelps in pain, and turns to roar at Solaire as another falls from the bell tower.
- >Sayori finishes off the last gargoyle, wiping the tears from her face.
- >Solaire is burnt by the gargoyle's hot breath, stumbling off the rooftop
- >"Solaire, no!" Sayori charges the gargoyle, leaping into the air and crashing her mace down onto its head
- >The gargoyle falls, and Sayori helps her friend up from the ledge.
- >Her and Solaire both praise the sun quickly, and Solaire disappears.
- >Sayori giggles to herself as she heads to the bell tower entrance.
- >Bell Gargoyles: Defeated!
- >Sayori climbs up the long ladder, and reaches the tower where the bell is
- >She grabs the lever that controls the bell, and pulls it as hard as she can
- >The bell resonates throughout the world of Lordran, echoing through it's cavernous passageways
- >She climbs down the ladder again, and sees a man in a garish pose.
- >"Who are you?" she asks, trying not to laugh at the ornate man
- >"Greetings, I am oswald, of carim. The pardoner."
- >"Cometh thou to confess? Or accu- what are you doing?"
- >Sayori begins to mimic the man, sticking her hands up in the air to match his
- >giggling, Sayori smiles at the man. "This is kinda fun!"
- >"...quite, now-"
- >"Hey, you kind of remind me of my friend Yuri! Have you read the painting of Markov or whatever it's called?"
- >"I have no idea what you're on about-"
- >"Ooh, that ring is really cool! Can I have it?"
- >"No you can't just have this ring! This ring is a magical item that boosts your resistance to poison!"
- >"Aw come on, pleeeease?"
- >"Fine, if it will shut you up for five minutes here."
- >He tosses Sayori the ring, and Sayori jumps outside to get the ring.
- >"Now, back to my speech- Hey, where are you going?!"
- >"Thanks Mister!" Sayori runs back to the entryway to the church giggling.
- >Once she's out of sight, she starts mimicking the man again, with a poor imitation of his voice
- >"Blah blah, I'm oddball of Creamtown! Ehehe~"
- >Oswald of Carim scratches his head.
- >"Well, at least this one's cute..."
- >Sayori heads to the steps where the boar was
- >She opens the gate, and the boar starts attacking the hollows around her
- >The boar walks up to her and lowers its head.
- >Sayori pets it again and giggles at the large creature
- >"Aww, did someone miss his mommy?"
- >The boar grumbles happily as it pushes further into Sayori's hand
- >"wait, what's this?"
- >Sayori bends down and grabs a key
- >The boar nudges her, knocking Sayori over
- >"Ehehe, you're so pushy~"
- >As she pets the boar, she remembers seeing a door where she first met her best friend.
- >"I'm gonna go pay Solaire a visit again! I'll be back, Mr. Boar!"
- >Sayori kisses the boar's head and heads off
- >"Hi Solaire!"
- >"Ah, hello! Good to see you again."
- >"You too! I found this key, check it out!"
- >"Oh, that probably leads to the basement down below. Be careful though, there's a fearsome demon down there, with terrible, demonic weapons."
- >Sayori is already off by the time he tells her this warning.
- >"Alright Solaire, I'll see you later!"
- >Sayori heads down the ladder to lower undead burg, and quickly clears out the undead residents.
- >She gets to the fog gate, and steps through.
- >The demon, along with his pets, quickly rush her, but Sayori is too distracted by the demon's weapons.
- >"THOSE ARE SO COOL!" Sayori screams as she is slammed into the ground.
- >"O-Owie..." Sayori gets up and rolls past the demon's next attack.
- >After dealing with the dogs, she climbs up on a ledge where the demon can't reach
- >as the demon falls down, Sayori wishes for her friends
- >"Aw man, if only Solaire were here!" She thinks out loud
- >Suddenly, her hand starts to glow yellow
- >"Oh yeah!" Sayori hurls the bolt of lightning at the demon, piercing its heart.
- >As the demon is defeated, it dissapears into white smoke.
- >Sayori notices something on the ground and grabs it
- >It's extremely heavy, but she's just able to hold it
- >A fire lights in Sayori's eyes as she realizes it's the demon's weapon
- >"Finally, a weapon of MY stature!" she jokes.
- >Sayori heads out of the small room after re-equipping her mace
- >She heads downward, past the thieves and to a metal door
- >She unlocks it with the key she got from the Capra Demon and heads to the depths
- >As she crawls through the dark dungeon, she plugs her nose
- >"this place stinks! What is this, the sewers?"
- >Sayori walks up to a strange lady butchering meat on a table, and her dog.
- >"Gosh, how many dogs died here anyway?"
- >The butcher's head snaps up immediately, and destroys the table in front of her.
- >Sayori and the butcher do battle, and Sayori is quickly overwhelmed
- >"Grrr... quit hitting me so hard!" Sayori pushes her shield against the butcher's knife, staggering the fiend
- >Sayori quickly seizes this opportunity, and bashes the butcher's stomach with her mace
- >the butcher falls, and Sayori takes her sack off the ground
- >Sayori drops down to the pass behind her, and runs into the small room
- >"Hey, Hey you!"
- >"Please, help me..."
- >"Mmkay!" Sayori breaks the barrel, leaving the man untouched.
- >"Thank you, I should be fine now."
- >"No need to thank me!" As Sayori runs off
- >She heads deeper into the depths
- >"Ew, this really is the sewers!"
- >Sayori presses on anyways, grabbing a key along the way.
- >She finds a locked door, and uses the key she found to open it
- >There, sits a lone bonfire, unlit.
- >Sayori lights it and rests
- >She thinks of the sword she got, and wants to be stronger.
- >Sayori reaches level 26!
- >Sayori plunges further into the depths
- >As she travels, she starts to gag from the smell of the grime
- >As Sayori focuses on the smell, she forgets to watch where she's going as she falls further down
- >When she lands, she notices large-eyed, frog-like creatures circling her
- >They start to breathe, and out comes white, thick smoke
- >Sayori begins to choke on the smoke, missing the basilisks with her mace
- >She escapes the mist, but the basilisks are still on her
- >Now that she's free, she hits them easily, killing them all
- >She treads onward, when out of the ground, a figure in red rises.
- >Expecting a friend, Sayori extends her hand and gives a cheery smile
- >"Hi! I'm Sayori, and you are?"
- >The figure doesn't speak, and immediately Sayori goes on the defensive, readying her talisman
- >Her suspicions reign true, as the man begins to attack her
- >Every chance she gets, she pushes up his sword with her shield and hits the weak points in his armor.
- >After he is defeated, Sayori wipes her brow
- >"Whew. Nice try guy, but you're gonna have to try harder than that to beat me!"
- >Sayori walks up the staircase and to the opening to the large drain area.
- >She sees that familiar golden sign and touches it with her hand, summoning her best friend
- >Solaire rises from the ground, and Sayori gives him a hug.
- >"Let's go Solaire!"
- >Solaire nods and starts to head towards the fog wall.
- >Sayori though, notices another sign.
- >She touches it, and out of the ground comes the nice man she saved earlier.
- >"Oh, hello Mr. Nice Guy!"
- >Mr. Nice Guy says nothing as he walks towards the fog gate
- >Sayori looks over the opening for a look at the bad guy
- >She can't see anything
- >Sayori has a bad feeling about this...
- >She shrugs it off and praises the sun
- >Sayori's ready for battle!
- >Sayori enters the fog gate, followed by Solaire and the man from before
- >A small lizard pokes it's head from the tip of the drop-off
- >"OH MY GOSH HE'S SO CUTE i HAVE TO PET HIM"
- >Sayori goes to run to the creature when Solaire grabs her shoulder
- >"Wait, Sayori!" He points ahead of her as, out of the pit, a huge, toothy dragon rises from the water and roars
- >"Oh..." Sayori seems more sad than surprised
- >The gaping dragon charges them, throwing them apart from each other
- >Sayori and Solaire attack the beast from afar, while the nameless man cuts its legs from the front.
- >All of a sudden, the beast swings it's mighty tail, knocking Sayori to the ground and knocking Solaire into the wall
- >As Solaire coughs up blood, his spirit slowly vanishes
- >...

- >Sayori stares in horror at the sight she's just seen
- >tears streaming from her face, Sayori rushes the dragon's tail with blow after blow from her mace
- >After the tail has been cut, she attacks the front, taking any blow the dragon throws at her
- >She finally lands the decisive blow, and the dragon falls to the ground.
- >After the other summon disappears, Sayori falls to her knees and cries.
- >She cries for a long time, then brushes herself off.
- >She wasn't going to let Solaire's death be in vein.
- >Sayori ventures on after sending a final prayer for her fallen friend.
- >Angered by her loss, Sayori heads to the large door barring her from her quest
- >She unlocks the door and heads downward to Blighttown
- >Fighting her way through Orcs, toxic snipers, and her worst enemy, weirdos!
- >She notices a glint out of the corner of her eye
- >A bright, steel sword is sticking out of the body on a platform below
- >Sayori, wanting the blade, steps back, then leaps to the platform.
- >It's a success, and Sayori picks up the worn katana.
- >"Oh, I've heard about these from Anon! This is an Iaito!"
- >Sayori notices a bonfire, and tries to light it, but she can't
- >From behind, she hears a pot crash
- >She readies her shield just in time as a crossbow bolt hits her shield, almost cracking it in two.
- >The red figure steps out of the shadows and stands menacingly at Sayori.
- >"Nice try, but I'm not in the mood to play right now."
- >Sayori attacks the invader, and they do battle for sometime.
- >After a while, Sayori learns his patterns, and manages to parry his attack.
- >She hits him with all she can, and the invader rolls away.
- >Sayori's faster though, and she's able to strike his back, knocking him off the cliff
- >Sayori lights the bonfire, and begins to rest
- >She feels tired, and she doesn't want to be tired anymore
- >She thinks of Solaire, and decides to keep going for his sake
- >It's what he would've wanted
- >Sayori reaches level 31!
- >Sayori ventures on down the rickety bridges of Blighttown, quickly mowing through enemies
- >All of a sudden, Sayori feels a pinch on her neck, like a beesting, and begins to feel sick to her stomach
- >Sayori reaches behind her and pulls out the blowdart
- >She's been poisoned!
- >She quickly runs to defeat the foe, and off his corpse she loots the cure.
- >Sayori swallows the moss clump and ventures forth
- >She eventually reaches the bottom of the swamp, after fighting through hordes of enemies.
- >she trudges through the swamp and rests by the bonfire
- >the bonfire seems to cleanse all of her worries as she bathes in it's warmth.
- >She readies her spells, and gets ready to press on
- >She hears the familiar hiss of another invader, and she groans
- >"Not again... when will you people learn to stop attacking others?"
- >The woman rushes sayori wildly, swinging from left to right with a hunger
- >Sayori manages to defeat her with ease, then rests at the bonfire again.
- >She trudges through the poison swamp, sneaking around the boulder wielding ogres.
- >"Don't wanna get caught by those guys..." She whispers to herself
- >She makes it to what looks like a giant spider's nest, eating some more moss and healing herself through her prayers.
- >She steps through the fog gate, and out of the shadows crawls forth a horrid creature
- >The body of a spider, and the body of a woman mixed together
- >Sayori begins her attack with a bolt of lightning, flickering through the air as it hits the spider's body
- >it seems to do no damage as the monster isn't phased
- >Quelaag swings her heavy sword as Sayori
- >As she blocks, she can feel the embers touch her skin
- >She winces as she throws her next bolt, causing it to fly off in a random direction
- >Quelaag spews lava in Sayori's direction, and she quickly moves out of the way.
- >Sayori hurls one last lightning bolt, and it pierces the body of the witch, causing its defeat.
- >Sayori moves past the room to her lair, to the lever controlling the second bell
- >Sayori rings the bell, and she heads down the stairs
- >She looks around for any sign of where to go, and notices a very peculiar wall
- >She touches it, and the wall disappears
- >There beyond the illusory wall sits a man in prostration, with a number of eggs on his back.
- >"Who are you? A new servant?"
- >"Uh, sure? More importantly, I could use a rest, do you mind if i rest here for a bit?"
- >"Hmph, but you have no eggs?" The man eyes Sayori up and down, then notices her apologetic smile as she rubs the back of her neck with her hand
- >"Bah, no matter. Go along and have audience with Our Fair Lady. I pray that you will mind your manners!"
- >The man with the eggs slowly moves out of the way as Sayori walks up to the figure
- >The creature looks like the woman she just fought, but pale white, her flaming embers burnt out and replaced with deep purple.
- >Sayori sheds a tear, as the spider looks up at her.
- >"...Quelaag?"
- >Sayori at first only heard slithering whispers, but the ring on her finger slowly turned the gibberish into the common tongue.
- >"Hello, my name's Sayori. It's nice to meet you. Are you alright?"
- >The spider-woman chuckles. "Yes, I'm doing alright. Quelaag was finally defeated, wasn't she?"
- >"Sorry, she attacked me first, there was nothing I could do..." Sayori starts to cry, when the woman puts a hand on her head.
- "There there, child. It is alright. Quelaag had lost herself a long time ago anyway... Ever since I became ill, she would attack travelers and steal their humanity. It was a horrid thing, and I could barely watch, but I knew it helped stave off the sickness, and seeing that made her happy.
- >"So, I let the killing continue, but I'm glad it's over now." Quelaag's sister coughs up a bit of purple blood, and looks back down.
- >"The eggs have all gone still, it's so frightening... It hurts, so much..."
- >"H-here!" Sayori begins to give the frail creature all of the humanity she had garnered from her travels.
- >after Quelaag's sister absorbs it, she wheezes outward, and stops coughing.
- >"Ohhh, thank you. That feels much better. You are such a kind child."
- >"Ehehe, I try to be. Plus, you don't seem to be that bad either!"
- >"Thank you very much. Here, you should have this, I have no use for it any longer."
- >Quelaag's sister gives her an old scroll, burnt around the edges.
- >Sayori puts it in her bags, then steps away.
- >"Thanks a bunch Miss!"
- >Sayori walks away, feeling proud of herself.
- >She heads out of Quelaag's domain, and looks onward towards the great swamp, with a new hope in her heart.
- >Sayori rides the elevator up to the top of Blighttown
- >She finds a key and heads out the tunnel, running past the ogres guarding the way.
- >She arrives at the Valley of Drakes, and stares down the pathway.
- >Noticing the dead dragon down the path, she gets a bad feeling, and instead heads towards New Londo.
- >After opening the door, she heads back up towards Firelink Shrine.
- >She notices a collection of ragged clothes on the ground, some blood, and a peculiar soul.
- >The firekeeper's been killed!
- >In her place lies a black orb, with an eye carved into it.
- >A mystery!
- >Sayori tells herself to think about this later because...
- >She has no idea where to go!
- >As she runs past to go to the elevator back to undead parish, she notices something horrid sticking out of the ground!
- >It looks like a giant snake!
- >With TEETH!
- >Sayori bursts into laughter, rolling on the ground
- >"Hello, are you the one who rang the Bells of Awakening?"
- >"Ehehe, yeah I am, why?" Sayori calms down to giggles but can still barely contain herself.
- >"Welcome, chosen undead. I am Kingseeker Frampt, close friend of Lord Gwyn. Do you wish to hear your fate?"
- >"I don't know Mr. Frappe, my friend Anon told me about fortune tellers and he said they're all phonies. This better not cost me anything."
- >"Er, I assure you this is different..."
- >"Oh yeah, how?"
- >"Just, listen: your fate is to succeed Lord Gwyn and kindle the first flame, for the sake of humanity!"
- >"Oooh, like what that knight was talking about, that whole 'Chosen Undead' thing?"
- >"Yes, the 'whole Chosen Undead thing'... You must travel to Anor Londo and acquire the Lordvessel."
- >"Oh, Anor Londo, ok. Which way is that, again? Ehehe~..." Sayori puts on her apologetic smile and laughs again.
- >Frampt sighs and turns his head towards the elevator leading to undead parish
- >"That way, now get going."
- >Sayori is already walking away, humming to herself when she sees the man she freed in the depths.
- >"Hey! You got out alright!"
- >the man looks over to Sayori, and smiles.
- >"Oh, I see you got out too, then."
- >"I'm Laurentius, Of the Great Swamp."
- >"I'm Sayori, maiden of the sun!"
- >"Ah, and a fine thing that is. Thank you once again for saving me, in return, I shall teach you pyromancy. Ah, unless you find the magics unsavory?"
- >"No, I don't think magic is unsavory, in fact I think it's pretty cool!"
- >"Yeah wonderful! Why, let's get started right now."
- >Sayori tries to learn the ways of pyromancy, but she can't seem to wrap her head around it.
- >"To cast Pyromancy, one must be in tune with nature. Give it some time, you'll understand when you're ready."
- >"Thanks mister, but I don't think it's for me. I found this though, you might need it."
- >Sayori hands Laurentius the scroll containing the chaos pyromancy.
- >"What, beautiful pyromancy... Say, where did you learn this?"
- >Sayori tells him the story of how she got it.
- >"Why, yes, of course! Thank you for sharing. I'm still an able pyromancer. I shall locate her myself. I am in your debt, once again."
- >"Sure thing!" Thinking nothing of it, Sayori heads off towards the undead parish.
- >Laurentius heads off towards the great swamp, where he will search forever for the source of those precious pyromancies.
- >Sayori heads down to the undead parish, where the gate to Anor Londo is waiting for her.
- >She meets up with Andre, who repairs her weapons for her, then she's off into Sen's fortress.
- >As she moves through, she notices large, swinging blades moving like pendulums across thin beams.
- >"Well, this isn't going to be very fun..."
- >Sayori dodges beam after beam, just barely sidestepping around them as she moves her way up to the fortress.
- >She gets to an area with a man-serpent asleep on the job.
- >Taking the initiative, she attacks it's head, and the snake-man immediately awakens.
- >As she's fighting the snake-man, he destroys a wall behind her, giving her a chance to knock him off the ledge
- >She crawls through the hole in the wall to find an old man in a cage.
- >"Ah, hello. Would you mind freeing me from my restraints? I seem to be in a bit of a pickle."
- >"Oh, uh, sure!" Sayori tries the handle, but it won't budge.
- >"Damn, must be locked. I'll be right back, I tend to find keys pretty often!" Sayori runs off.
- >"Be careful!" the old man calls after her with a chuckle.
- >Sayori continues her trek up the fortress, dodging pendulum after pendulum
- >She gets to an area of the fortress, where a lone chest is sitting in the middle of the ground.
- >"Hey, a chest!" Sayori goes to open it, but stops.
- >"I... Have a bad feeling about this thing..."
- >Sayori notices the chain is in a different spot than it normally is
- >She walks away from it and up the elevator, glad she didn't mess with whatever it was.
- >Sayori hops off the elevator, and climbs the steep staircase.
- >She enters the small pathway, careful to avoid the trap laid on the ground.
- >She sprints past the last pendulums, the last one narrowly scraping her bottom.
- >She walks up the stairs to see the outside world
- >"Ahh, finally some sunshine!"
- >Unfortunately, this moment of grace is cut short by the whistling sound of a giant firebomb hurdling towards Sayori.
- >Sayori jumps out of the way just before the bomb explodes, the shock-waves sending her falling down a cliff
- >Luckily, that cliff happened to have a bonfire underneath it, to Sayori's surprise.
- >After resting up, Sayori heads back outside, and bolts up the tower.
- >Sprinting past the items scattered on the ground, Sayori is determined to find the source of the bombing
- >Once she reaches the top of the tower, she finds a giant, surrounded by gigantic bombs.
- >Sayori goes on the offensive as she starts swinging at the giant.
- >The giant makes a mess of the place, swinging its arms wildly to hit Sayori.
- >Once the giant is defeated, Sayori heads back down to explore what she missed.
- >She fights another heavy knight, and collects his greatsword
- >After that, Sayori finds a man with a bow.
- >He strikes her shield a thousand times with his rapier, a feat no normal man could do.
- >After she defeats him, she raids his tower for supplies.
- >"Huh, what a pretty ring." Sayori slides the ring on her finger and heads off.
- >She heads back to the great fog wall, and enters through, ready for the dangers ahead.
- >Sayori enters the fog gate, ready for battle.
- >The Iron Golem wakes to her presence as Sayori eyes the construct
- >Sayori feels the wind behind her as the Golem swings its axe in front of her
- >Sayori is pushed back from the weight of the shockwave and is thrown to the ground.
- >Sayori starts hurling lightning bolts at the creature's feet
- >The Golem fires continual blasts of air towards Sayori, but this time she's ready for it
- >Dodging out of the way, Sayori gets close to the machine and starts to attack it's legs
- >Just when she feels like her mace isn't doing any damage, she strikes the Achilles heel of the Golem and it staggers, falling off the fighting stage and into the ground.
- >With the golem defeated, Sayori takes this time to head back to the bonfire and...
- >Wait, where is the bonfire?
- >Running around searching for the bonfire, she ends up at a broken platform
- >Sayori, thinking back to when she found her katana, leaps over the gap and lands on the other side
- >She runs past Knight Berenike and heads down the stairs
- >He was pouting pretty hard, and Sayori is sick of negativity right now!
- >She runs down the spiral staircase where a snake sorceress is waiting for her
- >After killing the sorceress, she finds another key behind it
- >"Oh! This probably works on that guy I found earlier!"
- >Sayori travels down to the man in the cage
- >"Ah, hello. You have come, young lass."
- >"Yeah! I found a key!" Sayori undoes the lock and frees the old man.
- >"Oh, heavens, thank you. I'm saved."
- >"No problem! You can always count on Sayori of the Sun to save you!"
- >"Sayori, huh? You wouldn't happen to be fron the far east, would you?"
- >"I'm not sure! I woke up one day in a cage and lost my memory, Ehehe~..."
- >"How intriguing... Say, I will return to Firelink Shrine, meet me there, we'll see if my magic can't fix that memory."
- >"Alright, I'll see you there, Mr..."
- >"My name is Logan, it's a pleasure."
- >She nods and heads off back to the golem's arena, ready to go to Anor Londo.
- >Sayori reaches the top of the fortress, and looks up towards the giant wall.
- >"Well, that's probably Anor Londo, but how do I get up there?"
- >She starts to think of a way to get up there, when she notices a strange ring of light on the ground.
- >Hypnotized by it, Sayori bends down to touch it.
- >"So pretty..."
- >Out from the wall, spring forth four sickly demons, with batwings protruding from them
- >They grab Sayori's arms as she is mesmerized by the glow of the light
- >Once she snaps out of it, she's already cleared the wall to Anor Londo
- >The sunlight hits her face, and the glorius city comes into view
- >Sayori is awed by the massive palaces, seemingly endless towers, and bright white marble of the illustrious foothold
- >She is dropped onto a platform as the demons all fly away, except for one.
- >"Uh, thanks!" Sayori heads off as she waves the demons goodbye.
- >Having nowhere else to go, she heads down the long staircase
- >She finds a man, almost statue-like, towering above her.
- >"Hello! My name is Sayori, and I'm from Firelink Shrine! You wouldn't happen to know how to get the Lordvessel would you?"
- >The gigantic man simply points at the door to his left and says nothing.
- >"Oh, thanks!" Sayori walks through the doorway and past the guard.
- >"What a weirdo" Sayori thinks out loud as she enters an open platform
- >She heads down the stairs to her left to find a familiar warmth ahead
- >A bonfire! Finally, Sayori can rest.
- >She sees a woman leaning against the wall as Sayori enjoys the fire's warmth.
- >"Welcome, Chosen Undead, to the lost city of Anor Londo."
- >Sayori looks at her in wonder
- >"Really? I Finally made it? Yeaaah!" Sayori jumps into the air, pumping her fist.
- >"If you seek Lord Gwyn's old keep, exit here and head straight yonder."
- >"Mmkay, thanks!" Sayori heads off with a skip in her step, giggling to herself.
- >"Mhmm, Hmhm, Ehehe!" With newfound pride, Sayori heads off to claim the Lordvessel.
- >Sayori has reached Anor Londo!
- >Sayori rides the elevator down to the lower part of Anor Londo
- >She is greeted by a familiar foe, one of the gargoyles she's fought before
- >But Sayori is stronger now than she was then
- >Without hesitation, Sayori cuts off the creature's tail and strikes it with lightning
- >She looks at the bridge raised high above her, preventing her from continuing
- >She looks around for a way out
- >Sayori sees some city beams going up to a broken window
- >"Aw man, does it have to be that way..."
- >Sayori's never been a fan of heights
- >She tiptoes up0 the rafter and jumps to the platform, hugging her talisman on the way down.
- >She enters the window, and two assassins attack her, one dropping from the roof, and the other throwing knives at her
- >She defeats the two, and looks to the roof, and sees more rafters.
- >"Aw COME ON!" Sayori climbs the rafter, and tiptoes across
- >As she's fighting her way through, she breaks the chandelier and it crashes down
- >"S-Sorry!" Sayori calls down to the crushed assassins
- >Once she reaches the end, she kisses the ground underneath her feet, then enters the center of the bridge
- >she activates the contraption, and the bridge begins to lower, allowing Sayori to continue on her journey.
- >The gargoyle swings at her, then falls down the stairs in front of her
- >Seizing the opportunity, Sayori drops from the high ground, and plunges her mace into the creature's skull
- >Once it is defeated, Sayori walks up the stairs and towards the castle
- >She says hi to two more guards, and runs past them, unaware they were getting ready to strike.
- >She sees two more bat-winged demons and runs up to them.
- >"Hello guys! Thanks again for bringing me here earlier!"
- >The demons start to hiss and shuffle
- >"Ehehe, yeah I- Uwaaa!" Sayori narrowly dodges a lightning bolt from the demon's spear.
- >Sayori runs from the demons, only to find she's being bombarded with massive arrows.
- >"Geez, and I thought this was a nice place!
- >Caught between demons and arrows, Sayori has no time to be afraid of heights
- >She runs up the rooftop to the knight sniping her, and he switches to his sword
- >The knight reels back and prepares his swing
- >Sayori seizes the opportunity and bashes his sword with her shield, staggering the silver knight
- >She bashes her mace into his chest , then into his head, killing the man.
- >She moves past him, and into the building.
- >She carefully opens the door to her left, revealing a bonfire, and...
- >sitting by it, clad in bright white armor, a man rests.
- >his shirt decorated with the sun's grace, and a single red feather sticks out of his head.
- >Sayori's eyes flood with tears as she sees Solaire.
- >"Oh, hello! You seem to be doing wel-gah!"
- >Sayori jumps at Solaire and wraps him in a tight embrace
- >Through tears, Sayori chokes out her story.
- >"...And there were these snake people, and I got poisoned, and there was this spider lady and she was really sick and, and, I'm really glad you're okay!"
- >Solaire pats Sayori's back. "There there, it is my fault for not telling you."
- >"What do you mean?" Sayori sniffles a bit
- >"Remember that stone I gave you? It can be used to send a copy of me to you, not the real me."
- >"Oh. Ooooooh! So you can help me from far away!" Sayori cheers up after hearing that her friend was safe and sound.
- >"Haha, in a sense, yes." Solaire brushes Sayori off of him, and the two share the warmth by the fire.
- >After Sayori and Solaire reconvene, she closes her eyes and rests for a time by the bonfire.
- >Sayori, finding out her friend was okay, restored her faith in the world, and in herself.
- >She reassures herself that things are going to be okay from now on, and continues onward when she wakes.
- >Sayori has reached level 43!
- >Sayori heads out towards the center of the room.
- >She is greeted by a silver knight, who Sayori parries and defeats with ease.
- >"Wow, these guys are guarding the royal palace? No wonder there are demons everywhere!"
- >Sayori giggles to herself as she continues onward
- >She dodges the arrows of the silver knight, and strikes him from behind, killing him instantly.
- >She makes it downward towards the center of the castle, where the throne room lies.
- >In response, the orb she received from the fire keeper's corpse starts to vibrate and glow
- >She places her hand to it, and it forms a circle of black magic around her.
- >Sayori barely has time to register what happens, as she is sent through the circle, and reappears in an empty hallway.
- >Directly in front of her stands the mysterious man she saved at the church, and two nameless mercenaries, shrouded in a white glow.
- >"So it was you!" Sayori points to the golden-armored man.
- >"Ah, come to reclaim your little fire keeper, eh? Well, a pity your journey ends here! Don't you agree, fellows?" Lautrec looks to the two in front of him, and they say nothing.
- >"Well, time to die by my blade!"
- >Sayori rushes the man, dodging both spells and the lunges from the spear-clad warrior
- >She parries Lautrec, and gets a good hit on him, but he's able to get back up and fight some more.
- >She takes a blast from the sorcerer head on, and takes some damage.
- >rolling behind a pillar, Lautrec is there again, on the offensive.
- >Sayori dodges his first attack, then pushes his second with her shield, staggering him backwards
- >she lands the decisive blow, and Lautrec falls to the ground.
- >The mercenaries disappear, and Lautrec is left alone with Sayori.
- >"Keh, curses... fine, take it, I won't be around much longer anyways..."
- >Lautrec hands her the fire keeper's soul, which she places into her bag.
- >"You really are something else, you know... I've seen the way you fight, and it is beyond words. A word of advice..."
- >"Beware... of the cleric Petrus..."
- >Sayori has no time to respond as she is transported back to her world
- >She finds herself between the two royal sentinel guards in the middle of the throne room
- >"Woah!" Sayori dodges the attacks from the Sentinels and runs up to the balcony
- >She swings her mace at their legs, the giant men buckling under the weight of the blow
- >One sentinel falls as the other comes crashing down with his halberd
- >Sayori rolls out of the way and hurls a lightning bolt at its head, killing it
- >She climbs the stairs, and deals with the silver knight waiting for her
- >There, she sees a familiar signature, and places her hand on it.
- >"Hiya Solaire! Ehehe~, ready?" She gives the image a cheery smile.
- >The image nods and follows her down the steps to the giant fog gate
- >Passing through, Sayori sees a man clad in large gold armor, designed to curl around the folds of his blubber.
- >From the balcony above, another man with a lion's face and a great red plume jumps down and brandishes his spear.
- >"Wait, we have to fight both of them?!" Sayori readies her mace but she's not quick enough, as Ornstein slashes her in a blaze of speed.
- >Sayori is separated from Ornstein and Solaire, and is left to deal with Smough.
- >"Alright big guy, you and me, let's go!" Sayori brandishes her mace, and charges Smough
- >Smough tanks hit after hit as he swings his hammer with wild precision
- >Sayori chucks a lightning bolt, but Smough jumps out of the way and readies another attack
- >Sayori gets slammed against the wall, and Smough goes towards Solaire.
- >Ornstein switches off of Solaire and begins an assault on Sayori
- >Sayori tries to block and dodge his attacks, but Ornstein is too quick for her.
- >Right before Ornstein is able to land the decisive blow on her, Solaire sends a bolt of lightning straight through Smough's heart.
- >Ornstein rushes over to his fallen friend, but it's too late. Smough, is dead.
- >Ornstein places his hand on Smough's chest, and begins to glow with a fierce rage.
- >This fight isn't over yet!
- >Ornstein charges Solaire with his spear, ramming him through the chest
- >Ornstein lifts up Solaire with his spear, and charges him with lightning
- >Solaire disappears, defeated by the newly-buffed Ornstein
- >Sayori starts to tear, but remembers that it's not actually Solaire
- >She wipes her eyes, and charges the giant man, sticking to his legs as he tries to swing at her
- >She strikes his legs with her mace, trying to do some damage
- >Ornstein, fed up with being stung by this girl, leaps into the air, and crashes down
- >Sayori barely manages to get out of the way, but is still struck by lightning as she is thrown to the ground
- >Sayori runs behind a pillar, and clutches her talisman close.
- >beads of light surround Sayori, and she feels her wounds close up.
- >She reenters the fight, and tosses lightning at her foe
- >Ornstein reels back from the lightning, which give Sayori the opportunity to knock him down with her mace
- >She charges in, and deals the final blow, as Ornstein falls to the ground.
- >As his body dissipates, Sayori is left alone with her thoughts.
- >She picks up the ring left behind by Ornstein's corpse as a memento of her achievement.
- >She rides the elevator to the top of the platform and sees an unlit bonfire waiting for her
- >Sayori lights the bonfire, and rests
- >Out of the corner of her eye, she notices a set of armor and a ring, decorated to look like arms wrapped around it.
- >"Aw, how cute! This'd be fun to wear, it's like I'm being hugged 24/7! Ehehe~"
- >Sayori Dons the set of armor, including the ring and heads towards the throne room.
- >Ornstein and Smough: defeated!
- >Sayori musters all of her strength and pushes the doors of the throne room open
- >She opens it to find a beautiful woman laying in front of her.
- >"Thou hast journey'd far, and overcome much, chosen Undead. Come hither, child…"
- >Sayori feels the gentle warmth of this giantess, and smiles, knowing she had a break from all the fighting
- >She walks up to the gentle giantess, and sits down in front of her.
- >Hi, I'm Sayori! I'm a maiden of the sun!"
- >"Hello, Sayori. I am Gwynevere, princess of sunlight, and daughter of lord Gwyn."
- >"Woah! So you're like a princess or something!"
- >Gwynevere chuckles "Yes child, now..." Gwynevere takes the Lordvessel and places it in front of Sayori
- >"Wow! This thing is huge! I thought it was going to be smaller. How am I supposed to carry this thing back with me to Firelink?"
- >"The Lordvessel allows you to teleport between bonfires, just think of where you want to go, and you will get there."
- >Sayori's eyes light up "That makes everything SO much easier! Thank you so much!"
- >"You earned it, child of the sun." Gwynevere chuckles to herself again."
- >"Welp, I better be off!" Sayori picks up the Lordvessel, and heads back to the bonfire outside.
- >Sayori sits at the bonfire, and thinks hard about restoring the fire keeper's soul to her body.
- >She closes her eyes, and when she opens them, she is back, sitting by the fire at firelink.
- >"Wow, it really does work!" Sayori hops up from her seat and takes the Lordvessel to Frampt, where he slept.
- >"Hey Mr, uh..." Sayori tries to remember Frampt's name, then gives up. "Hey Mr. Snake! Wake up, I found the Lordvessel!"
- >… Hm? No, no, I'm fine, I'm fine. Well and wide awake!"
- >"Hey Mr. Frappe, what the heck am I supposed to do with this thing now that I have it?"
- >"You have found the Lordvessel. I am impressed. Be still for a moment."
- >Sayori gives him a look of confusion as he reels his head back
- >That looks changes to a look of horror as she is swallowed by Frampt, and dragged below
- >Once Sayori is spit out, she turns around and scolds Frampt.
- >"Mr. Frappucino! You should warn people before doing that! It's not very nice!" Sayori pouts and points a finger at him
- >"Frampt, and also, I've never had anyone else complain-ER I mean, uh, sorry, I'll let you know next time. Now, place the Lordvessel on top of the altar ahead."
- >Sayori walks up to the old wooden altar, and places the Lordvessel down in front of her
- >A blinding flash of light pierces the skies, as Sayori is filled with visions
- >Three golden barriers, all dissipating, revealing new areas for Sayori to adventure in.
- >One in the fields of Anor Londo, and two in places she didn't recognize.
- >Once she snaps out of it, she can feel the warmth of a bonfire surround her.
- >"Hmm... that one spot looked familiar, so I should probably go check that one out first! See ya Mr. Cappucino!"
- >Sayori doesn't hear Frampt correct her as she is transported back to Anor Londo."
- >Sayori is transported to the warmth of Anor Londo's bonfire.
- >She takes a deep breath, smelling the smoke of the flame, then heads off.
- >She travels past the guards up to the Duke's Archives, now that it's unlocked
- >she spots two familiar creatures off in the distance
- >"Hey! I know one of your buddies! I mean you no-uwah!" Sayori jumps out of the way as the boar charges her, not listening to her
- >The boar's eyes are glowing red, with a magic aura surrounding it
- >This boar's been charmed! someone's been watching Sayori!
- >Sayori pierces the boars with her lightning
- >"Sorry! I can't play right now!" Sayori heads to the bonfire behind them to rest
- >After she's all rested up, She makes her way up the elevator the the archives.
- >She fights her way through empowered crystallized hollows
- >She finds a creature made entirely of crystals, and swings it's massive arms at her
- >She dodges the arms, and eventually destroys the creature's body.
- >from it's shell drops a pendant, split in two.
- >Sayori picks up the pendant and examines it. "Pretty... I should keep this!" Sayori puts the broken pendant into her pocket.
- >Sayori eventually cuts through the gauntlet of hollows and reaches the elevator.
- >At the top of the elevator waits a man shrouded in crystal.
- >He strikes at Sayori, but Sayori's experience kept her safe
- >She parries his sword with her shield, then lands a critical blow.
- >She walks up to the end of the hallway, to the gate of fog.
- >Sayori gets ready to fight Seath the Scaleless
- >She enters the fog, ready for a tough fight
- >Seath stares her down, as she chucks a lightning bolt right at his skin
- >From what she's heard, dragons are weak to lightning! This should be easy!
- >The lightning bolt passes through Seath, and he continues his attack, unscathed
- >"Eh?" Sayori says as the dragon fires it's crystal breath at her, filling the room with shards
- >Sayori tries to move out of the way but the dragon fills the room with his breath
- >Sayori doubles over in pain from all of the sharp crystals stabbing into her
- >The dragon fires his breath again, and Sayori screams in pain
- >She fires another bolt of lightning, but it has no effect, and the dragon fills the room with crystal once more
- >As Sayori screams, more and more crystals shred her skin and break her bones. Her organs are pierced one by one as Sayori is thrown about like a ragdoll.
- >the last sound from Sayori is the gentle cough as a large crystal pillar pierces her heart.
- >Sayori's eyes slowly close as more and more crystals pierce through her.
- >"Solaire... I'm sorry..."
- >Sayori, has died...
- …
- >Sayori wakes up in a cell surrounded by crystal residue
- >She gasps for air, and feels her chest for her wounds.
- >"They're.. all cured?" Sayori looks for an answer while she checks through her bags, only to find that the ring she had on her finger had disappeared...
- >The ring! It must have been magical!
- >Sayori thanks her lucky stars she was wearing that ring
- >She begins to survey the situation
- >Hold on a second...
- >Sayori's locked up!
- >She looks for a way out, dealing with the hollows in her cage.
- >She notices a guard sleeping on the side of her railing, being watched by two other guards
- >When the two guards turn away, she grabs the keys out of his pocket and sets herself free
- >As she opens the door, the two snake-men snap their heads to the sound of Sayori getting free
- >"Ehehe..." Sayori puts her fingers together and puts on her classic worried smile
- >The guards chase her down the large spiral staircase as Sayori screams and runs away
- >Sayori misses a staircase, and starts rolling down the stairs, crashing into all of the snake-men at the bottom.
- >Sayori gets up to find herself surrounded by strange, blue creatures.
- >Most of them attack Sayori, and she deals with them easily.
- >After killing the snake-men, Sayori loots the corpses of the blue monsters, and finds... Humanity?
- >She goes up to the two that didn't attack her.
- >The creatures spook, and run off in the opposite direction.
- >Sayori could have sworn she heard a woman crying...
- >She shrugs it off and continues her journey.
- >She's about to leave, until she sees a familiar friend.
- >"Logan!?"
- >There, in the large cage, sits Big Hat Logan, stuck again.
- >"Oh, hello. As you can see, I'm stuck again. Would you mind setting me free?"
- >"Logan, you have to be more careful! I don't know if I'll be able to find the key again, but I'll try my best!"
- >Sayori heads off after telling off the master wizard, and heads back up the spiral staircase.
- >She defeats the two snake-men up the ladder, and pushes the heavy doors open.
- >She defeats the hollow group in the corridor, then heads up the stairs to face the channelers.
- >The channelers do their ritual to buff themselves up, but Sayori knows better than to wait for them
- >She charges her lightning bolt, and pierces the channeler's chest, killing it instantly.
- >She does the same to the other channeler taking pot shots at her, then hops down the stairs to the bonfire, cutting through hollows.
- >She lights the bonfire, and rests for a bit.
- >She thinks of how much stronger she wants to be, and how much the Duke's Archives fucking suck holy SHIT
- >She finds herself stronger, and lighter!
- >Sayori has reached level 52!
- >Sayori heads out of the bonfire room and into the chaos.
- >Fighting through hordes of crystal hollows, being pelted by bolts of magic
- >"Man, I sure wish I had some help right about now!"
- >Sayori looks around for a summon sign, but to no avail.
- >She presses onward, looking for any sort of way to continue.
- >She notices the two staircases in the middle of each hall, and tried to come up with some sort of plan.
- >When that doesn't work, Sayori blindly rides one of the staircases around a bit, spinning it around over and over again while laughing to herself.
- >Silly Sayori!
- >When she's had her fun, she makes her way up the stairs, albeit a bit dizzy from the ride.
- >She smashes the hollow down, and continues along her way
- >Wait a second, Sayori's on the third floor!
- >She rolls down the staircase, and lands with a bit of a wince
- >She races to the top, and charges the channeler before he has time to prepare a spell, killing him with a blow to the head.
- >She turns the ladder again, this time with a purpose, and heads into the large opening on the second floor.
- >She strikes the archer hollow with lightning, then slides down the ladder.
- >Sayori wanders around for a bit, collecting items from chests.
- >She finds the channeler's armor set, a key, and some titanite.
- >After looting the chests around her, she opens the staircase down to the crystal cave and heads down.
- >She looks around to find the place teeming with the same crystal constructs that she fought before.
- >"Damn, if only there were someone that knew where to go... someone really smart and- OH MY GOD LOGAN!"
- >Sayori rushes back to the jail room, where Logan is being kept.
- >She unlocks the door and Logan is freed
- >"I'm really sorry, it was hectic up there and I had no idea where I was going so I got confused and lost and I forget a lot of things-"
- >"It's fine, it's fine. At least now I can get back to my studies, haha."
- >Sayori and Logan make it back to the area leading to the crystal cave, ready to learn about their foe.
- >Sayori and Logan spend some time thinking and reading
- >While Logan sits and reads, Sayori explores some of the Archives
- >She finds a repeating crossbow, some magic spells, and a ton of mimics
- >After some time, Logan calls Sayori over to him.
- >"I found it! The secret to Seath's immortality."
- >Logan explains to Sayori the secret of the primordial crystal
- >"If you were to find that crystal, and destroy it, Seath will be vulnerable."
- >"Wow, thanks Mr. Logan!"
- >"Now hush off, I'm trying to study."
- >Sayori scrunches her eyebrows in confusion. Wasn't he the one who called her over?
- >Sayori walks off towards the crystal cave.
- >"That was weird"
- >She climbs down the hidden stairs and walks through the fog gate, preparing herself for the worst.
- >What she found however, was something surprisingly serene
- >She had stumbles upon the royal garden, overlooking the crystal forest
- >Bright, translucent crystals shone throughout the meadow and lead to a massive fortress of solid blue rock.
- >Sayori figured that the primordial crystal would be in the giant crystal cave, so she heads off towards the massive structure.
- >She runs past the golems, realizing that she's too fast for them to catch her.
- >Thank god she was a good runner!
- >She ventures further into the cave until she hits a dead end.
- >Where was she supposed to go now?
- >Sayori looks around for an answer, but all she can see are snowflakes.
- >Snowflakes...?
- >These snowflakes are landing in the middle of the air!
- >Sayori reaches her big toe out and tiptoes along the snowflakes' path.
- >It's solid!
- >Sayori walks carefully along the path, letting chance guide her.
- >She makes it to a large crystal protruding outward from the wall where, on the other side, a giant golem made of solid gold starts to charge her
- >The path is too narrow to run away, Sayori has to fight!
- >Sayori shields the golem's attack, and is pushed back into the wall
- >The golem reels back, and leaps into the air, high above Sayori's head
- >Sayori rolls in front of it as it comes crashing down behind her
- >The golem chases Sayori as she runs to more stable ground
- >Here, Sayori has the mobility advantage!
- >Sayori is able to keep away as she charges her lightning bolt
- >She throws her bolt, and the lightning courses through the giant creature's golden body
- >The creature falls apart, and Sayori revels in her victory.
- >That is, until she realizes she's stuck again!
- >But wait, there's a message floating in the air!
- >Sayori swallows hard, then leaps towards the message, landing on her feet
- >She reads the message laid down on the invisible ground.
- >"Here!" ~Anon
- >Sayori gets a fuzzy feeling in her chest, knowing she's not alone in the world.
- >"Thanks Anon, I couldn't have done it without you!" Sayori walks along the invisible platform, filled with confidence
- >Up ahead, Sayori finds a group of giant clams sitting in the area
- >She lures them out one at a time, and beats every one of them with her mace.
- >"Man, Andre is gonna kill me when I get back!" Sayori walks further into the cave
- >"Hold on, is that...?" Sayori sees a small, glowing crystal at the end of the cave.
- >"That's it!" Sayori rushes into the cave to destroy the Primordial Crystal.
- >Above her, a roar echoes deep into the cave, sending shocks throughout her body and the cavern's walls.
- >From the roof descends Seath, the Scaleless.
- >Seath roars in anger as he finds what Sayori's been up to
- >He charges his crystal breath as Sayori bolts to the crystal, mace raised
- >Just in time, Sayori smashes her hammer into the crystal, shattering it
- >Seath reels his head back, feeling the pain of his mortality coming back to him
- >He roars once more, filling the room with Crystals
- >Sayori runs as far away as she can, but is still blasted by the protruding spikes, sending her behind Seath's tail
- >She strikes at the tail, hitting it back and forth with her mace
- >The tail thrashes about behind Seath, and Sayori rolls just in time to avoid getting bashed by it
- >She hurls a bolt of lightning, visibly damaging the creature's tail, and Seath tries to blast Sayori with more crystals
- >Sayori dodges into the creature's tail, and hurls more lightning at it
- >The tail snaps in two, and Seath howls in pain
- >Sayori keeps on Seath, smashing his hide with her mace, until Seath turns
- >Sayori is thrown back, and Seath finally has his eyes on his unwanted guest
- >He fires a blast of energy from his maw, grazing sayori's shoulder as she gets up
- >There are crystals growing out of Sayori's arm as she steadies herself
- >She winces as she yanks them out of her shoulder, then continues onward.
- >She bashes the front of the dragon with her mace, making visible dents she couldn't see before
- >The dragon starts to move back as it charges up it's final attack
- >It plans to crystallize the entire room!
- >Sayori charges her last lightning bolt in desperation
- >Seath fires his magic onto the room as Sayori chucks her lightning spear at the dragon's heart
- >Sayori feels the sharp crystals penetrate her armor as she feels her legs crystallize
- >But just in time, the lightning pierces through the dragon's thick hide, and the beast turns to ash.
- >From it's ashes, a new bonfire arises, along with the dragon's golden soul.
- >This was it, the lord soul!
- >Sayori cradles the small shard in her hands and rests by the fire.
- >Seath: Defeated!
- >Sayori sits by the bonfire, feeling the warmth envelop the cool stone of the crystal cave.
- >She gently places the Lord's soul in her bags, then closes her eyes and teleports to Firelink.
- >"Hmm... That place that was all flooded looked suspicious coming back from Blighttown, maybe I should head there next..."
- >"Yeah, I think I'll do that." Sayori gets up from her seat and notices a portly blonde man looking around in disarray.
- >"Hello, are you lost?" Sayori comes up to him with a curious look on her face.
- >"Oh, hello." The strange man looks at her. "Have you seen a woman dressed in all white, probably about this tall?"
- >Sayori shakes her head. "No sir. Is she your friend?"
- >"NONSENSE!" the man gets visibly angry, then goes back to looking distraught
- >"Er, I mean, I serve her. She is milady."
- >"And what's your name?"
- >"Oh, I'm Petrus. Petrus of Thorulund."
- >Sayori's eyes light up, her ears ringing with the name.
- >"E-excuse me?" Petrus furrows his brow at Sayori, who can't help but stare wide-eyed.
- >"U-uh I have to go!" Sayori heads off in a random direction, past Frampt and the bonfire.
- >When she stops running, she notices she's not at Firelink anymore.
- >She looks around, but can barely see through the darkness.
- >Suddenly, she gets attacked by Skeletons!
- >Sayori disposes of the skeletons, but they start to reassemble!
- >She runs to the nearest hole in the wall, only to find an undead wizard throwing fireballs at her!
- >She kills the necromancer and turns around.
- >behind her is the bonfire!
- >She lights it and rests before the skeletons can get to her
- >Feeling resfreshed, she continues to fight, but this time, the skeletons are staying dead.
- >Sayori learns that the wizards are necromancers!
- >She can do this!
- >She opens the stone door to the rest of the catacombs, and presses onward.
- >Sayori walks down the corridors of the catacombs, exploring the old tombs and stony surfaces.
- >"Wow, a lot of people sure are buried down here... who buried all of these people?"
- >As Sayori strikes down more skeletons, she sees a man waiting on a ledge, and decides to hop down and meet him
- >"Hello! Where am I?"
- >The bald man looks to Sayori with a scowl
- >"Who are you? Are you a cleric or somethin'?"
- >"I'm Sayori! I'm a maiden of the sun!"
- >"Oh really? Well, tell ya what, there's some real treasure across that bridge, and since you're such a wonderful lass, I'll let you have it, alright?"
- >"I don't know..." Sayori eyes him up and down. "I've learned not to be too trusting these past couple of days..."
- >"W-whaddya mean? We're friends, aren't we? You're a cleric, I'm a friend of clerics, come on~"
- >Sayori scratches her chin and furrows her brow at the man, pressing her lips together. "...Well, if you say so. Thanks mister!" Sayori cheerfully runs off, and across the bridge where the man pointed
- >As it begins to turn
- >and the man begins to laugh
- >and Sayori is thrown off the side of the bridge and into the pit.
- >Sayori wakes up after some time. She notices that she's landed on top of a cliff, near the bottom of the catacombs
- >She looks around, unable to tell where she is, then hops off the side, jumping into some water.
- >"Whew, at least I don;t have to deal with anymore skeletons! And what the heck was that guy thinking knocking me off a... bridge..."
- >Sayori goes silent multiple skeletons dressed in spiked wheels look towards her. They step back, and tumble towards Sayori at high speeds.
- >"Grrrr, me and my big mouth!" She runs her heart out, and just barely makes it to the fog wall
- >She steps through, and finds herself staring over a pit, at a being hunched over in silence.
- >She falls down, and the hunched creature tenses up
- >Sayori stares in horror as the being slowly turns around to reveal a humanoid creature, dressed entirely of facemasks, turns toward her.
- >Sayori readies her mace, and the creature disappears
- >She looks around for the creature, only to find that it's split into two!
- >Both copies of Pinwheel start to fire white energy blasts
- >Sayori dodges one, but gets hit by the other as she falls to the ground
- >There are two more pinwheels by the time she gets up
- >She charges at them, each time hitting a false clone
- >When the clone dissipates into smoke, the other clones back off, including the real pinwheel
- >Sayori clears out the clones, then goes into attack Pinwheel
- >It connects, and Pinwheel falls to the ground, and he too, turns to smoke.
- >"...Huh?" Sayori looks at the dead Pinwheel on the ground, slowly turning into ash as it reveals a mask.
- >"He was weak! What the heck?! I was expecting a challenge! All of that build up for nothing!" Sayori stamps her foot in anger until it hits the metal mask on the ground.
- >She picks up the metal mask, and turns it around, dusting the ash off it.
- >To her joy, she finds a deformed bronze mask in the shape of a male's head, decorated with a beard.
- >"Ehehehe!~ This is so silly!" Sayori wears the mask and starts goofing around with it
- >Making silly voices, saying things like "git gud casul" and "wot rings u got bithc?"
- >She thinks of the man in the belltower, then mocks him while wearing the mask.
- >"...AHAHAHAHA!" Sayori bursts into uncontrollable laughter, rolling on the ground.
- >Once she's had her fun, she gets up, and climbs the ladder on the side of pinwheel's room.
- >Sayori gets to the top of the ladder, and looks around
- >This proves to be fruitless though, as Sayori can't see anything!
- >The whole area is covered in pitch black darkness
- >She walks aimlessly in the dark until she notices a prism stone off in the distance
- >Sayori's seen these before, they're safety markers!
- >She follows the path set by the prism stones and walks along the tomb of giants
- >Sayori walks for sometime until bumping into something hard and bony
- >She looks up and...
- >It's a giant skeleton!
- >The skeleton crashes his falchion down on the ground, Sayori barely having enough time to jump out of the way
- >She smashes the skeleton's legs and it falls apart into giant bones.
- >She slides down marble pillars, grown slippery with lichen
- >When she lands, she fights two more giant skeletons, dodging their rending slashes and smashing in their joints, breaking them apart.
- >She slides down more pillars, landing near a bonfire.
- >Sayori jumps down to the bonfire, and takes a quick rest.
- >She remembers the helpful sign Anon had put down for her in the crystal cave, and is reminded how much faith everyone has in her.
- >Sayori has leveled up to level 62!
- >Once she's done resting, she climbs the ladder, and the first thing she sees is the man from the catacombs.
- >"HEY!" Sayori rushes up to the man clad in black leather armor.
- >"Oh, what, you survived? Dah- I mean, look I'm real sorry, okay? These, urges, they overtake me, you know? look, I know I lied to you last time, but there really is some treasure down there! You can have it, as an apology from me!"
- >Sayori whines, knowing she shouldn't trust the man.
- >"Just take a look and see for yourself, if you don't see anything, you can walk away, I promise."
- >"Grr... fine!" Sayori steps onto the platform to look down
- >"I can see something shiny down there..."
- >The man raises his boot, and kicks Sayori down in the pit
- >"Hah! You stupid clerics are all the same! The only 'treasure' down there is the treasure I'll be looting off your corpses!"
- >Sayori lands hard, falling flat on her face.
- >She searches around for some solid ground, and grabs hold of something.
- >She picks it up, and it immediately lights up the tomb, revealing a cave next to a pitfall.
- >She carries it around with her, glad to finally have some light.
- >As she walks, she stumbles across a young maiden, no older than 14, sitting alone in the cave, weeping alone.
- >"Hello, are you alright?" Sayori asks the young maiden as she sits next to her.
- >The young maiden, startled by Sayori, jumps in her seat, but relaxes when she sees Sayori's human face.
- >"You're no Hollow, are you? Thank goodness."
- >"I am Rhea, of Thorolund. What is your name?"
- >Sayori smiles and points her thumb to her chest. "I'm Sayori! Maiden of the Sun!"
- >"I see. Are you on a pilgrimage as well?"
- >"Huh?" Sayori tilts her head in confusion. "All I know is that I have to beat up some big jerk to save the world." Sayori flexes a bit, then giggles to herself.
- >"I see. Be careful, there are two fierce hollows not far from here. They were once brave knights, my former escorts."
- >"Oh no, I'm really sorry... Were they your friends?" Sayori sits by the young maiden, sharing the light of the torch.
- >"yes, I knew them from my school days. Who would let such strong spirits be hollowed so?" Rhea sheds a tear. "If only I could have been stronger..."
- >Sayori sits by her for a time, contemplating what she should do. She thought of Solaire, and her friends.
- >"...Alright." Sayori gets up from her seat.
- >"Where are you going?" The young maiden looks up at Sayori, tears streaming from her face.
- >"I'm gonna get us outta here, don't you worry! Stay here, okay? Ehehe~" Sayori winks and heads off towards the dark, lantern in hand.
- >Not far up ahead, she finds the two hollowed clerics, with empty, hopeless eyes. The curse of the undead had taken them, turning them into mindless drones.
- >Sayori readies her mace, and prepares to fight the two warriors.
- >The two warriors charge with their poleaxes at Sayori, crashing her shield and staggering her
- >Sayori backs up as the two charge her with relentless attacks, rolling backwards when the opportunity presents itself
- >She finds an opening between their attacks, and smacks her club against the chest of one, reeling back
- >This doesn't stop the assault of the second hollow however, as he continues his emotionless assault on the girl
- >the other one gets back up and backs up, channeling a heal spell
- >Sayori gets knocked back, and she feels her feet reach the edge of the cave
- >rocks tumble down the stony wall as she looks down behind her
- >The hollow raises his weapon high in the sky, ready to crash down on Sayori
- >Sayori steadies herself just in time as she bats the weapon away from her with her shield
- >She runs behind the soulless warrior. "Sorry about this!" Sayori kicks the knight down the cliff, and she hears him tumble down.
- >She turns around, only to take a slash to her front, knocking Sayori on her butt
- >"Ow! You bully, that hurt!" Sayori recovers and gets ready to fight
- >The hollow sends more attacks at Sayori, but by himself he isn't much of an opponent
- >Sayori easily deflects his attacks and counters with her mace, striking a critical blow into his side
- >The hollow falls, and Sayori wipes her brow.
- >"Whew! You two should learn not to pick on girls you know!"
- >Sayori joked, but she felt the weight of the despair those two hollows felt.
- >At least now they didn't have to suffer anymore, She thought to herself.
- >Sayori walks over to Rhea, who is still sitting down in the cave.
- >"We should be all set to leave."
- >"You banished those two hollows did you? It pains me to think of the trouble my failings have caused. I am certain that both Vince and Nico are grateful to you."
- >"Hey, don't worry about it so much. You did what you could, and that's all you really can do, you know?"
- >"...Thank you very much."
- >"Ehehe~" Sayori rubs the back of her head with her hand. "C'mon!"
- >Sayori takes Rhea's hand as Rhea stands up from her seat.
- >"I think I'll be fine on my own, thank you." Rhea pats the hind of her dress, dusting herself off.
- >"Oh no you don't! If you couldn't handle those two back there, there's no way you're getting past everything else in here." Sayori gives her a stern look
- >"B-but"
- >"No butts, unless you wanna lose yours!" Sayori waves a finger at Rhea
- >"Now," Sayori playfully offers Rhea her arm. "M'lady, may I escort you through the Tomb of Giants? Ehehe~"
- >Rhea moves her hand to her mouth, hiding a giggle from the Armor-clad girl.
- >The two set off through the cave, hand in hand.
- >The two travel, guided by the light of the lantern, when a giant bony tower springs up from underneath them.
- >"Ah!" Rhea jumps back, while Sayori readies her mace.
- >She bats the skele-tower with her mace, and it falls apart.
- >"It's ok Rhea, I'll keep you safe! These things aren't all that bad anyway!"
- >"R-right, sorry. If you'd like, I can heal your wounds if need be."
- >"Oh, are you a cleric too?" Sayori cleaves through the bone towers as they talk.
- >"Y-yes, I am. I can heal, and use defense miracles."
- >"Oh, neat! Have you met Solaire? He's my friend, and he's a cleric as well!"
- >Sayori charges a lightning bolt, and Rhea's eyes light up.
- >"That's... the miracle of the great Lord Gwyn's armies! Where did you learn such power?"
- >"Oh, I'm... not sure. I found a broken statue near a bridge, then I just felt like I could do it in my heart."
- >"Oh... Well, alright then, let's keep moving."
- >The pair eventually find a ladder that leads out of the cave, and they climb it.
- >Sayori follows the path with Rhea in hand, until she gets back to where Patches had attacked them.
- >"Hey!" Sayori runs up to Patches, and Rhea skittishly follows behind.
- >Blimey! How did you... You weren't supposed to survive that... Well, no matter. I'll settle this once and for all. You lousy self-righteous cleric!"
- >Patches readies his spear, and charges Sayori.
- >"W-wait!" Sayori holds her shield up just in time as patches stabs it, his spear bouncing off the spidery design.
- >"Why are you attacking me?! What did I do?!"
- >"You damned clerics, with your pretentious missions or whatever! Take this!" patches thrusts his spear into Sayori again, and Sayori blocks once more.
- >Patches twirls his spear over his head, and slashes at Sayori, cutting her cheek
- >She backs up, putting some space between her, patches, and Rhea.
- >Patches sees his opportunity, and changes attack targets to Rhea
- >"Rhea, look out!" Rhea moves out of the way, but not before the spear grazes her side, cutting her.
- >Sayori charges in, charging Patches with her body as she pushes him away from Rhea.
- >Patches falls on his rear, and as a last ditch attempt, jabs at Sayori
- >Sayori parries the spear with her shield, breaking it in two.
- >Sayori stands over the man
- >"Well, do it already, kill me. I already disgraced your honor code or whatever."
- >"Hey, you! Why do you keep bothering me? All I wanna do is trust you but you keep being such a big jerk!"
- >Patches is stunned by this girl scolding him. "Wha-"
- >"And on top of that, you keep acting like being a cleric is this big bad thing when I haven't even done anything! Gosh! Rhea, let's go,I don't have time for bullies."
- >"A-alright!" Rhea runs up to Sayori, following closely behind her.
- >"...Eh?" Patches stares in disbelief as he watches the bronze-clad girl storm off further into the dark.
- >Sayori makes her way deeper into the caves, exploring with the light she found.
- >As she reaches further into the cave, she hears a growling come from the dark of the cave.
- >She shines the light ahead, and finds a skeletal beast, sitting on all fours.
- >The beast growls at Sayori as it comes into her view
- >She backs away, and the beast lays on it's belly.
- >Sayori looks around, unsure of what to do.
- >Sayori has always been good with animals, so she tried to look for a way around fighting the giant thing.
- >She eventually finds one of the leg bones of the skeletal giants
- >"M-Miss Sayori, what are you doing?"
- >"I think this is gonna work, just gimme a second.
- >Sayori swallows hard, then walks towards the beast again.
- >The skeletal hound lifts it's head, watching Sayori as she moves.
- >It mumbles out a low grumble, telling Sayori that this was it's territory.
- >"Hey buddy, look what I got for you~!" Sayori pulls the bone out from behind her, and wiggles it in the air
- >The beast notices the bone, and lets loose an elated woof
- >"Here boy, come here boy!" The dog scrambles over and starts to pounce Sayori
- >"Ah-ah-ah! Sit!" Sayori raises the bone out of the skeleton dog's reach, and the beast whines.
- >"Come on, you want the treat? Be a good boy~" Sayori wiggles it in the air some more. "Sit!"
- >The beast sits on it's hind legs, and Sayori gently hands him the bone.
- >It takes the bone and starts to chew it, and Sayori reaches her hand out to pat the beast's head.
- >The beast puts it's skull into her palm, and she rubs the top of it. "Ehehe~, good boy, good boy."
- >Rhea stares in shock as she watches this girl pet a dead dog.
- >"A-amazing! How did you know you could tame it?"
- >"Oh, he was just playin' around is all! Isn't that right my little bony boy, Ehehe~" Sayori gives the beast's head a squeeze, and it happily whines for her.
- >"Let's see, what should we call you...?"
- >Rhea perks up a bit "Oh, what about San-"
- >"OOH, Spot! That's a great name!"
- >"B-But, he doesn't have a spot-"
- >"Come on Spot, let's explore a little!" Sayori follows the path down the tomb, and Spot happily trots behind.
- >"M-Miss Sayori, wait for me!" Rhea clambers behind them, tripping a little.
- >Sayori, Spot, and Rhea travel down along the walls of the giant cavern.
- >She finds a group of skeletal giants, lined up in a three pronged attack plan.
- >One readies a gigantic bow, while the other two charge the party with giant scimitars.
- >Sayori and Spot rush the two charging in, while Rhea uses her miracles to deflect the arrows back at the Bowman
- >The skeleton in the back loses its skull as Sayori and Spot finish off the two, Spot devouring a leg while Sayori destroys the collarbone of another.
- >After they finish, they hear the clattering of armor crashing to the ground behind them.
- >Sayori turns to find, clad in charred-black armor, A man wielding a large glaive, rising from his knees.
- >The man looks to Rhea, Spot, then to Sayori. Sayori moves to the front of the party.
- >"Hi! I'm Sayori! What's your name?"
- >The knight says nothing, and Sayori goes on the defensive, clutching her mace tight.
- >The black knight twirls his glaive, then slashes in front of him, the air whistling as his polearm cuts through the air.
- >He rests his polearm beside him, then bows to Sayori, never taking his eyes off her.
- >The cavern is completely silent as Sayori eyes the knight, measuring him up.
- >"Spot, stay. Rhea, you get back too. This guy looks tough, and he doesn't seem like the type to leave us alone if we ran."
- >"W-wait Sayori, at least let me offer my miracles, or have Spot fight him!"
- >"It's fine, Rhea. if there's one thing I learned being in Lordran, it's knowing how to fight a fair fight. And besides..."
- >Sayori returns the gesture, then readies her mace, gripping it in both hands.
- >"...This won't take long."
- >Rhea stares starstruck as Sayori forces herself not to burst out laughing.
- >'I can't believe I just said that, that was so cheesy!' She thought to herself.
- >She walks forward, leaving her party, to duel the Black Knight.
- >Sayori and the black knight begin to circle around each other, watching their opponent's feet
- >The black knight is the first to strike, jabbing his glaive in sayori's direction
- >Sayori rolls out of the way, and counters with her mace, using both hands to put the full weight of her body into her strike
- >The knight blocks with his shield, then swings his glaive around him
- >Sayori blocks it with her shield, then jumps back, giving her and the knight some space
- >The knight rushes her, charging in with his glaive
- >Sayori moves her body out of the way, but the knight swings his glaive in a wide arc, just clipping Sayori's armor as she tries to get out of the way.
- >Sayori catches the knight's leg and manages to trip him, knocking him down
- >Seizing her opportunity, she drives the full weight of her mace into the black knight's back, as loose chain links fall off of the knight's armor.
- >The knight swings through the air, almost slipping Sayori's bow as he gets up, bouncing off his back, then landing on his feet.
- >The knight leaps back, dodging another one of Sayori's blows
- >Sayori staggers forward, expecting the blow to connect
- >The knight raises his glaive overhead to finish the fight in one blow, but Sayori is able to recover in time
- >She blocks the swipe with the hilt of her mace, then counters with her own swing
- >The knight takes the blow right to the head, faltering backwards.
- >Sayori doesn't let up, as she smacks the knights legs, causing his knees to buckle
- >As he lays down on the ground, Sayori stands over him
- >She latches her mace on her belt, and offers her hand, with a smile. "Nice fight, you're pretty good."
- >The black knight looks at Sayori, then her hand.
- >He takes her hand, then stands.
- >He grabs his glaive, then walks off into the darkness as his body dissipates into white mist.
- >"So cool..." Sayori watches as the black knight vanishes from her sight and passes on to the other world.
- >Sayori returns to her party, where Spot and Rhea are waiting for her.
- >Spot climbs up to Sayori's shoulders, and Sayori pats his head. "Come on Spot, get down now, we got work to do~"
- >"Sayori, I'm sorry I doubted you. You truly are a knight worthy of the sun's praise."
- >"What, did you doubt me before?" Sayori giggles as she walks through the cave.
- >The three eventually stop by the bonfire, and Sayori sits by it, lighting it.
- >"Here, allow me." Rhea places her hand towards the flame, and her hand starts to glow white.
- >The fire rises, and the room fills with more warmth than before.
- >"There, now the bonfire should feel just like the one in Firelink.
- >"Woah! How'd you do that?" Sayori backs up a bit from the flame, now that it's at a hearty roast.
- >"Us undead are cursed, marked by the Darksign. You know this, of course, and we live on through our humanity. Well, undead can also offer this humanity to bonfires, to increase their potency."
- >"I don't really get it, but alright!" Sayori giggles as she shares the warmth with her new friend.
- >"Ms. Sayori, will we be heading off soon?" Rhea looks at her and offers a gentle smile.
- >"You don't have to keep up the formalities with me, you can just call me Sayori." Sayori scoots closer to Rhea, breaking the barrier that Rhea had felt with the young proud knight.
- >"A-Alright then." Rhea's smile grows wider. "Sayori, then."
- >Sayori and Rhea sit by the fire, sharing stories and laughing at jokes among themselves.
- >After a while, Sayori dusts herself off, and helps Rhea off her feet.
- >"Alrighty then, let's head out!"
- >"Alright, I'll follow behind."
- >Spot barks enthusiastically as the two venture forth down the tomb of giants.
- >They find a couple more Skeletal dogs, but Spot is able to tell them Sayori means no harm.
- >Sayori makes it down to the bottom of the tomb, and is blinded by light.
- >Sayori uncovers her eyes, only to find that in front of her, massive pillars of wood rose from the ground and to the surface, covered by a misty fog
- >"Wow... what IS this?"
- >Sayori looked down, and watched the foggy body of water crash against the rigid surface of the twisting trees.
- >"Amazing, I'd never thought I'd see it for myself..." Rhea stares, entranced, like a moth to a flame.
- >"Rhea, you know this place?" Sayori looks to Rhea
- >"Yes, I believe so... this place in front of us, is Ash Lake, the home, of the everlasting dragons."
- >Rhea explains the story of the age of fire to Sayori.
- >"Oh, wow... we sure do have a lot of history, don't we?"
- >Rhea chuckles. "Yes, yes we do."
- >Sayori continues down the cliff, and looks to the opening in the cave
- >Her eyes flash with the memory of the vision she had
- >"Oh, this is where that Lordvessel thingy showed me!"
- >"YOU have the Lordvessel?!" Rhea stares at Sayori in shock.
- >"Yeah, didn't I tell you when we were at the bonfire?"
- >"I-I thought you were joking!" Rhea
- >"Why would I joke about something like that...?" Sayori looks to Rhea confused, then starts to head towards the opening. "Just come on already!"
- >Sayori and Rhea head through the tunnel, fighting bone-towers along the way
- >They get to this dark cave, littered with pinwheel monsters
- >Sayori hides behind her shield while spot charges one of them
- >She feels a gentle biting at her ankles
- >Sayori looks down, only to find tiny skeletons biting at her feet
- >She beats the skeletal creatures, but they keep reappearing
- >"S-Sayori, I feel kind of faint..." Rhea wavers, then falls to the ground
- >"Rhea, hold on!" Sayori kills the last of the pinwheel monsters, and rushes over to her.
- >"Here, take this!" Sayori hands her the last of her moss clump and gives it to Reah.
- >She places it to Rhea's mouth, and Rhea swallows it.
- >"T-Thank you... If you hadn't been there, I don't know what I'd do..."
- >"It's alright, just be more careful, 'kay?"
- >Sayori helps her up and they move on
- >After the pinwheel monsters had been defeated, Sayori, Spot and Rhea decide to explore the cave a bit.
- >Sayori looks around, and finds some glowing white titanite.
- >She stuffs it into her pockets, and presses onward.
- >They backtrack a bit, now that they can safely explore.
- >They find a large tomb, with a ladder leading into it.
- >Climbing into it, they find a horde of skeletal giants
- >Spot runs down and attracts the horde by running into the center, and Sayori pierces their bodies with her lightning.
- >She climbs into the tomb and finds a glowing white object, held by the statue of an old blacksmith.
- >"Huh, I'll have to show this to Andre later."
- >They search around, finding a strange shield, and a silver ring in the shape of a serpent.
- >Sayori leaves the shield, but puts the ring in her pockets.
- >They finds their way back into the cave, guided by the light of the skull lantern.
- >Trudging her way through murky water, old bones, and tiny skeletons, The party makes it back to the fog gate, covered in wooden debris.
- >Sayori pushes the debris out of the way of the party, and clears the path.
- >Sayori and Rhea begin to walk through the fog gate, when she feels a gentle tugging at her fingers.
- >Sayori looks down, and sees Spot's mouth on her fingers, whimpering.
- >She kneels down to pet him. "Sorry Spot, I don't think we're going to be hanging out much longer."
- >Spot puts his head on Sayori's plate-covered shoulder, and she gives the creature one last hug.
- >"I'm gonna be okay, I promise. And when I die, I'll come visit you in Heaven, mmkay?"
- >Spot whines some more, but backs up, knowing that his master had a job to do.
- >Sayori wipes her eyes, and waves Spot goodbye.
- >Spot howls as Sayori and Rhea walk through the fog, ready to fight the god of death himself.
- >Sayori looks to Rhea, and Rhea audibly swallows.
- >"Hey, if you don't wanna do this, now's your chance Rhea."
- >"No no, no, I just..." Rhea takes a deep breath. "I was prepared to die when I came down here, and that resolve hasn't, and won't change."
- >Sayori grabs Rhea's hand, and walks her toward the pit. "We'll go on three, ready?"
- >Rhea looks down into the large pit, swallows once more, then nods.
- >"L-Let me count, please."
- >"Alright, take your time." Sayori nudges her elbow a bit, then gives her a toothy smile.
- >"One... Two-"
- >Sayori jumps into the pit, with Rhea still into her hand.
- >"Sayori! You said on three!" Rhea fumes as Sayori rubs the back of her head.
- >"Well I thought you'd change your mind on three if you got there, so I jumped early, Ehehe~..."
- >Their quarrel is interrupted by a high-pitched shrieking that drills through Sayori's ears and into her brain.
- >A large, phantasmal sword juts out of the ground next to Sayori, and she leaps backwards.
- >As she recovers from the sudden attack, a group of skeletal warriors appear from behind the rock formation in front of them.
- >They rush the pair, backing Sayori into a corner while Rhea runs from the skeleton's attacks.
- >Sayori defeats the skeleton attacking her, and moves to help Rhea
- >She rushes the skeleton, destroying it with her mace.
- >"Rhea, are you alright?" Sayori checks Rhea for wounds
- >"Yes, I'm fine. I just don't do well on my own against these creatures, sorry."
- >"It's fine, just, stay behind me and keep me healthy, okay?"
- >Rhea nods, and Sayori turns around to face the rest of the cave.
- >The two walk forward, and are greeted by more skeletal giants, and a colossal figure dressed in dark robes, and, more skeletons...?
- >The figure turns around, and steps forward.
- >Enter, Gravelord Nito, father of death.
- >Sayori stares up at his massive figure
- >His body, shrouded by his cloak, towers over the small girl, casting a shadow of fear over the pair
- >Sayori braces herself with her shield, but Nito slices right through it, and Sayori falls to the ground.
- >Rhea, frozen in fear, falls backward and starts to cry
- >Sayori vigorously shakes her head, clearing the fear from her head
- >She slaps her cheeks with her palms, then readies her mace
- >She throws her broken wooden shield to the side and charges Nito, beating at him with her mace
- >Nito swings his sword at the girl, his massive blade groaning as it cuts through the air
- >Sayori rolls underneath him, and bashes his bony leg, making cracks in the Gravelord's leg.
- >He swings his sword more and more, and Sayori expertly dodges his attacks
- >Time for a change of plan, Nito thought to himself.
- >He kneels down, clutching at his chest with his bony hands.
- >Sayori recognizes this as a magic spell!
- >She feels the room get emptier, like all of the world's darkness is leaving the cave and going into Nito
- >"...Rhea!" Sayori runs to Rhea, tackling her into the ground and laying on top of her
- >Nito unleashes his dark miasma, covering the ground with death and decay
- >As it washes over Sayori's back, she cries out in pain, squeezing Rhea's shoulders to try and ease the burn
- >Sayori's tears stain Rhea's cheeks as her back blisters with the hot scorch of death.
- >"S-Sayori, I... I'm so sorry..." Rhea starts to tear up, and pulls out her talisman.
- >"I-it's f-fine!" Sayori winces as she gets up. "Just, he's beatable, I promise! Don't be afraid! Happy thoughts!" Sayori stands poised, ready for Nito's next barrage.
- >Nito swings his sword in a wide arc in front of Sayori, and Sayori rolls underneath the blade's slash
- >She smacks his leg again, hitting the weak spot she created
- >The leg breaks, and Nito falls.
- >Sayori musters up all of her faith, and conjures a lightning spear
- >She throws the spear, and it pierces Nito's skull
- >Nito, defeato!
- >Nito's skull vibrates, then shatters, along with the rest of his calcium body.
- >A hollow cry echoes from the center of the pile of bones, and it ripples throughout the entire tomb of giants
- >The clattering of bones hitting the ground can be heard echoing throughout the cave, as millions of skeletons fall apart
- >A faint, golden light emanates from the pile of bones, casting a gentle glow on the humble cavern.
- >Sayori moves to the pile of bones as they begin to dissipate, and cradles the light in her hands.
- >"Sayori, is that...?" Rhea climbs over to her clutching her talisman, and begins to heal Sayori.
- >She begins to treat Sayori's wounds while Sayori studies the soul, entranced by it's warm light.
- >"Yeah, I think it is. It has such a... weight to it, if that makes any sense..." She raises it off the ground, then places it in her knapsack.
- >As she places the Lord's soul into her bag, a bonfire rises from the ashes of the lord's flesh-less corpse.
- >Sayori lights the bonfire, then rests, allowing her spirits and her body to warm by the fire.
- >"Ahh, this fire is so warm... I missed this warmth so much..." Sayori wavers as she's enveloped by the blanket of heat the fire provides.
- >After some time, Sayori's back is healed, and she stands up.
- >"Ready to go?" Sayori sticks her hand out to Rhea, and Rhea nods.
- >"Close your eyes, and don't let go of my hand."
- >Rhea does she's told, and the two are warped to Firelink Shrine.
- >"W-what the, how did, what did-"
- >"Oh yeah I can teleport between bonfires, it's kinda cool." Sayori shrugs off Rhea's shock and gets up.
- >"Hmm... where to next... Oh yeah, I gotta go talk to Andre!"
- >Sayori walks over to the path where the elevator is, and Rhea follows closely behind.
- >"Oh, Milady! You've... returned, from the Catacombs!"
- >Sayori and Rhea turn around to find Petrus standing before them.
- >"Ah, Sir Petrus, hello." Rhea greets him with a smile on her face, and Petrus does his best to hide his scowl.
- >Sayori notices his disgust however, sending a shiver up her spine.
- >"H-hello" Sayori stutters out in discomfort
- >"Ah, the little knight girl, good to see you again." Petrus flashes her a smile that sends a chill down Sayori's back
- >"But where are Vince and Nico?" Petrus looks around, feigning concern.
- >"Unfortunately, we were tricked by a dastardly thief, and knocked into a pit below. Vince and Nico gave up all hope and were hollowed, until Sayori here saved me." Sayori gives him a cautious wave. "E-Ehehe~"
- >"...Quite. But Rhea, you haven't fulfilled your mission, have you?" There's a tinge of annoyance in his voice that soars over Rhea's head, boring it's way instead into Sayori's ears.
- >"I don't understand what you mean Petr-" Rhea's arm is yanked by Sayori.
- >"O-ow! Sayori, what are you-"
- >"Come on Rhea, it's time to go, bye bye Mr. Petrus, Ehehe~" Sayori pulls Rhea along towards the elevator.
- >"Have fun you two~" Petrus's face warps into a sinister smirk, as he clutches his talisman
- >Petrus throws a ball of force at the pair, the ball whipping towards them
- >Sayori whips a lightning bolt at the ball, causing it to erupt, shattering the lightning spear with it.
- >Petrus is taken aback as Sayori undoes the clip on her mace, releasing it from her side.
- >Sayori looks at Petrus with a fire in her eyes, ready to protect her friend.
- >"...Hah, I guess I should have figured you wouldn't fall so easily to something like that." Petrus equips his own mace, and grabs his shield off his back."
- >"I was warned about you, but I didn't think you'd do something so evil like harming a defenseless girl!"
- >He laughs. "The girl playing knight is trying to tell ME what evil is? It's her destiny to die!"
- >"Sir Petrus, I don't understand-"
- >"Enough, you'll know soon enough."
- >Petrus charges another forceball, cackling.
- >Petrus throws the forceball, and Sayori catches it with another bolt of lightning.
- >"Rhea, head to the Undead Parish, you'll be safe there. I'll take care of this bully."
- >Sayori charges Petrus, their maces clashing together.
- >Rhea runs off to the elevator, and Petrus watches her leave.
- >He charges yet another forceball, but this time Sayori is ready.
- >"Oh no you don't!" Sayori uses the opportunity to bash his hand, breaking it, along with the talisman inside it.
- >"Gah! You arrogant bitch!" Petrus raises his mace high above his head, and swings it downward
- >Sayori is able to deflect his mace with the brunt of her forearm, making him feel the difference in combat experience
- >Petrus can only watch in shock as Sayori jams her mace into his belly, causing him to crumple over.
- >"Curses... how, defeated by a wench..."
- >"That'll teach you to be such a bully!" Sayori looks at Petrus with a fierce anger.
- >"You... you bitch... you irredeemable swine..."
- >Sayori leaves Petrus and heads to the Undead Parish, where Rhea is waiting for her.
- >"You... you killed him then, didn't you..?" Rhea is kneeling in prayer in front of a large white statue
- >"Well, nah, but I don't think he'll be bothering us anytime soon."
- >"You spared his life, then? I cannot say I'm surprised. You have such a giant heart, it's something you don't see too often anymore."
- >Sayori's cheeks flush red, and she puts her fingers together "Ehehe~"
- >"Um, Sayori, if it's alright with you, I think my journey with you ends here."
- >Sayori frowns a bit. "Yeah, I kind of figured. It was a lot of fun though, and I'll come visit you!"
- >Rhea chuckles. "It was fun. Here, you should take this. "
- >Rhea hands Sayori a scroll, the edges of the paper worn due to time.
- >Sayori studies it, reading the ancient lettering on it.
- >"It's an ancient form of force, the shock wave is more powerful, and can damage foes."
- >"Wow, thanks Rhea!"
- >Sayori learned Wrath of the Gods!
- >Sayori's eyes start to tear up
- >She sniffles a bit, then gives Rhea a hug.
- >"S-Sayori!" Rhea flails a bit, before leaning into the hug.
- >After some time, the two separate, and Sayori heads off, waving Rhea goodbye.
- >She passes the hollow warriors, the mindless zombies no longer a threat to her.
- >She finds Andre whacking away at a piece of metal, practicing his craft.
- >"Oi! You're still kickin! You've been a stranger these days." Andre puts his hammer by his side and looks up to Sayori.
- >"Hi Andre! Hey, I found something you might wanna take a look at!"
- >Sayori hands Andre the ember she found in the Tomb of Giants.
- >"Oh, my, what a brilliant ember you have there. I've only heard legends of such specimens… "
- >"I found it in some tomb deep in the catacombs, you can have it if you want."
- >Andre smiles, his wrinkles wrapping around his cheeks
- >"Why, thank you very much. Andre of Astora never disappoints!"
- >Sayori beams. "So does that mean you can make my weapon do like, miracle magic or something?"
- >Andre realizes something about the ember, then frowns a bit, a cloud washing over the sunshine emanating from Sayori's smile.
- >"Well... this is only half of the full piece. This piece makes already divine weapons into stronger versions, you'd need the base ember first."
- >"Awww maaan!" Sayori pushes her fingers together and pouts a bit.
- >"Don't fret miss, I've heard the other piece is not too far from here, if you run past the fellow downstairs, you'll head to the Darkroot Forest. I was told the piece was guarded by a beast, but it shouldn't be nothin' for a warrior like yourself!"
- >"Oh, cool! I'll head there now then, I'll see you around Andre!"
- >Sayori waves him goodbye and heads toward the Darkroot garden, running past the wandering demon.
- >She fights her way through walking trees, and hits a fork in the road.
- >"Hmm... This way!" Sayori heads of to the right, and down the hill.
- After a long hiatus I'm bringing this back, finally found some time to write. Probably going to start writing again, but I don't know what. I'll take requests!
- >Sayori strolls down the hill and heads towards darkroot basin
- >She looks around, admiring the view. "Wow, this place is really serene. It'd be nice to live here if there weren't killer plant monsters trying to kill me everywhere!"
- >She chuckles to herself, then heads to the bottom of the hill.
- >She finds a bow and some leather tights, but decides not to wear them.
- >Traveling forward some more, she steps into a small opening littered with small trees.
- >A blast of water lands by Sayori's feet as she rolls out of the way
- >She looks ahead to find a beast, with seemingly endless heads, firing beams of aquatic magic at her.
- She hides behind the small trees, which absorb some of the blows.
- >She continues pressing onward like this, avoiding blasts of magic, and crawling her way to the edge of the water
- >Once getting to the water, the beast stops firing it's beams of water, and hisses at her
- >Sayori's feet trudge through the water, barely managing to duck out of the way as the creature's tentacle-like heads wrap and crash around the girl
- >She blocks a head with her shield, and counterattacks with her mace, bashing it into the soft flesh of the hydra's neck.
- >It reels its heads back to it's body, then hisses once more.
- >It strikes again, Sayori rolling through the attack this time.
- >She bashes her mace into the hydra's head, and breaks it off.
- >The hydra roars, coiling around the landscape.
- >As the beast bleeds, Sayori charges up a lightning bolt, and tosses it at another head, ripping through it
- >The hydra wraps a neck around Sayori, wrapping her tight.
- >bolts of her armor pop off as she gasps for air, her ribs being squeezed to the point of breaking.
- >Sayori clutches her talisman in her hands, and a shockwave of white energy bursts out around her.
- >The beast's head bursts as Sayori is released, her body glowing.
- >The hydra hisses and recoils from the blast, hissing once more.
- >Sayori snaps back into focus, and puts her hands to her head, covering her eyes.
- >"Oh my head... what happened...?"
- >She looks at her hands, the aura dissipating from her body.
- >"W-Wow! This is new... is this that new magic that Rhea gave me?"
- >Sayori digs the scroll out of her pocket to find that it's blank. "Huh, that's weird, I thought this had like writing on it..."
- >She shrugs and puts it back into her pockets.
- >She looks up to the hydra, now writhing in pain.
- >"O-oh my gosh! Are you okay?" Sayori rushes to the beast, and almost trips at the opening it sits in.
- >"Here, come here..."
- >The hydra lashes it's heads out at Sayori, just barely missing her
- >Here, lemme help you out..." Sayori closes her eyes hard, and the white aura from before glows and turns a shining golden color.
- >One by one, the hydra's heads grow back. The creature coos in the pleasure of being fully healed, and nuzzles its heads up again Sayori's cheek.
- >She giggles, and pets its neck. "Sorry about earlier mister, I really didn't feel myself, I don't know what came over me!"
- >The hydra retreats, then starts charging another magic ball
- >It fires, not at Sayori, but at a cavern to the side of it
- >She hears a crumbing sound, and the sound of a young girl crying.
- >The hydra looks to Sayori, its tongue flicking in and out of one of it's mouths.
- >It recedes into the bottomless lake, and Sayori watches it swim.
- >She creeps along the edge of the lake to where the water blast was fired, and finds the weeping girl.
- >"Hey, are you alright?"
- >The girl jumps when she hears Sayori's voice, and quickly wipes her eyes.
- >"So, t-thou hast rescued me?"
- >"Uh, yeah! My name's Sayori, knight of the sun!"
- >"I am Dusk, of Oolacile." The girl says, not meeting Sayori's eyes.
- >Confused, Sayori walks towards her. "Is something wrong?"
- >Tears fall from her eyes. "I'm so sorry..."
- >Behind her, a shadowy hand snatches the two of them, and pulls them under.
- >Sayori wakes up in the middle of a dimly lit cave
- >The only sound she hears is the scuttling of bugs and the roar of the fire
- >She scratches her head, then rubs it with her palm
- >Ow, my head...
- >Sayori wiggles around on the ground
- >"Gah, this armor is so heavy! NYEHH!"
- >Sayori flings the armor off in a rage!
- >She puts her old priest's robes back on and looks around, rubbing her shoulder.
- >"Man, I'm never wearing heavy armor again, at least not until I'm stronger."
- >Sayori squints. "Speaking of stronger..."
- >She pulls out the massive cleaver used by the old foe from her past, and gives it a hearty swing.
- >"Hey, I can use this now! And It's actually kinda light!"
- >Sayori runs around playing with the massive sword for a bit, before returning to business.
- >"Hmm... That was weird, what happened to me-"
- >Sayori looks up in worry, grabbing her head
- >"Oh god the girl! I gotta go rescue her!"
- >Sayori runs through the Royal Wood, and past the fog gate frantically, looking for her new friend.
- >MEANWHILE!
- >The world is black, until the girl's eyes open for the first time in what felt like years.
- >She looks at her hands, wiping her eyes to remove the blurred filter from her lenses.
- >she notices a body drop in front of her, and looks up as a man clad in knightly armor kneels above her, then vanishes.
- >She looks over the body and discovers a key latched onto it.
- >She grabs the key and shambles over to the door, unlocking it and walking out.
- >She walks past the door, and out to a humble sewer, ignoring the hollows past her.
- >"Oh, my head..." She says as she looks for a way out.
- >She bumps into a ladder and stumbles back, falling on her butt.
- >"Oh, gosh, what the...?"
- >She looks up at the top of the ladder. Her mouth widens, her eyes light up, and her head clears.
- >"W-where am I?! This isn't my house! I-I was getting ready to go over Anon's house to prepare the decorations for the festival, but what is this place?!"
- >Enter: Darkmoon Yuri!
- >Taken aback, Yuri sits in awe of the place she's in.
- >She looks around at the zombified creatures around her, and she gasps in shock.
- >She backs up against the wall, and feels a small rectangular box press against her behind, as well as the clank of wood against tile.
- >She grabs the box, and to her surprise, it has the same cover as Portrait of Markov.
- >She opens the book to find different texts, all with jumbled up letters forming gibberish.
- >"Quasizxortum... ipsis?"
- >the wooden object by Yuri's belt glows with a bright, fading blue color, then shoots out a bolt of energy by her side, causing Yuri to jump in fright.
- >She sticks the landing this time, and whips her hand toward the staff to grab it.
- >The blue light fades, and the room goes back to darkness.
- >The noise however echoes throughout the asylum, and the hollow near Yuri starts shambling toward her, growling.
- >"Oh, oh no!" Yuri backs up more, until her back once again hits the stairs.
- >She looks at the hollow coming towards her, and grabs her wooden staff for protection.
- >She brandishes it, her hands quivering while holding the subtle wooden weapon.
- >She closes her eyes, ready to succumb to the abyss, thinking about everything that just happened...
- >Wait, the book!
- >She repeats the magic words from earlier, and out shoots another blue ball of force.
- >The hollow is struck with a direct hit, and is flown against the wall.
- >It slumps to the ground, then falls.
- >Yuri feels herself absorb the last of the hollow's life essence as she calms down.
- >"Okay, so... I have a magic book, and I've been somehow transported to an unfamiliar world full of mystical undead creatures..."
- >Yuri's eyes light up, twinkling
- >"This is just like in Portrait of Markov, where Libitina gets trapped in an alternate reality! And she has to fight her way out of the game to her love!"
- >"It... it's a dream come true! I-I'm a magic user, and I'm in a fantasy world!"
- >Excited, Yuri marches onward up the ladder and opening the large door ahead.
