  1. [19:45] "Well, I'm glad that you're all here, and came on time." Granted, there were people that were still late, it was good enough that a few of the more important people came here to relay the message to the others about the current meeting.
  2.
  3. "If you don't know me -- I'm Vesper. Leader of the Felcloaks and a friend to Sej'Rin and Di'or." He looks over with his good eye as he said such a thing. "Pleasure to meet all of you, and happy to make your acquaintance and the like."
  4.
  5. "You're probably wondering why you're here, and why I wanted the select few of you to be here. That reason is simple." His eye closed as he lets himself rest back against the bench. "It is because you are all talented in your own special ways and growing."
  6.
  7. "The goal of the Felcloak is a simple one -- to hunt the witches, kill them, and burn down the Dreadwoods. Beyond that, I wish to aim to get rid of the demons, and to go into it further by summoning the Darklord."
  8.
  9. A pause. A horrible pause as he lets the information fester ever so slightly for all those to just take in with a grain of salt. He probably sounded insane in saying such a thing. However, that silence was soon followed with more words to come through with certainty.
  10.
  11. "To kill, anyway. We're going to kill this Dark Lord that reigns in Helheim, and by extension, silence the witches intents." Vesper smiled afterward, only letting his hands go down to the side. "That is what this meeting is about. Feel free to ask questions."
  12. (Vesper)
  13. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  14.
  15. [19:49] "No questions here."
  16.
  17. Xolin had his own vendetta against the Coven. They had murdered the man closest to him, Chimalli. And soon these witches would regret their action.
  18.
  19. Only in darkness can the moon shine bright.
  20.
  21. The Nagual sat across from Favi and Azir, eyes locked onto the leader of this guild and the one who had gathered all of these warriors here on this day.
  22.
  23. A commendable effort from Vesper to unite quite the bunch of rowdy individuals, though Xolin wasn't sure if any of the rest were as firm in their ideals as the young man himself.
  24.
  25. After his statement Xolin would simply remain quiet and await other responses.
  26. (Xolin)
  27. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  28.
  29. [19:57] "Ah we are all dragged to conflict eventually."
  30.
  31. Though there were no arguments. He understood from both Vesper and Sej'rin that the Coven was a wicked group of evil individuals. He had no qualms training alongside his kin to work toward a common goal- merely another purpose for the Ixtan clan.
  32.
  33. Still, his mind was focused on his little idea- something interesting and relatively harmless to keep the people of the united factions entertained. He would need to begin spreading the word soon.
  34.
  35. "Thank you for letting us stay here, Vesper. It is a large upgrade from our other houses."
  36.
  37. He smiles.
  38. (Yaluk Ixtan)
  39. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  40.
  41. [20:02] There they were gathered around, a small force, hopefully this was all they would need too. Didn't seem like a task too big, he sat there against the wall cleaning his rifle.
  42.
  43. "Why a year from now?"
  44.
  45. He figured there had to be a reason behind that, whatever it was didn't really matter to him. He wanted to go now, but knowing was better than not. An eyebrow raised as he speaks on the Darklord.
  46.
  47. What exactly was that?
  48.
  49. Eventually it would be asked, and if it wasn't? He'd find out when they got that far.
  50. (Favi Ixtan)
  51. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  52.
  53. [20:04] Leaning against the wall Gajin would watch Vesper as he went into the details of the Felcloaks goals. It was about what he'd expected when he received the letter offering him affiliation with the group. He didn't have any questions until it came down to summoning the Dark Lord that left him curious.
  54.
  55. "How do you intend to summon the Dark Lord?"
  56.
  57. It wasn't exactly an easy feat if it was the Witches would have done it long ago and yet they hadn't. "Don't get me wrong I'm all for slaying the first Slayer but how will we manage that exactly?"
  58. (Gajin)
  59. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  60.
  61. [20:08] Azir met Vesper already.
  62.
  63. Sej'rin introduced him and Di'or to Vesper when the Felcloaks was an idea, though he wasn't as well acquainted with him. They didn't speak much, and only saw one another in passing. Though, he still had the kitsune's respect either way.
  64.
  65. "Hunt the witches, kill them, burn the Dreadwoods."
  66.
  67. Summoning the Darklord? That made more sense than trying to go into Heilheim to kill them, especially when there was a chance of this being holding more power in its own realm than in the realm they all resided in. At the mention of questions, Azir raised a hand.
  68.
  69. "What are you planning to do to summon the 'Dark Lord'? Wouldn't we need to use whatever means the witches are using to do that? Or did you plan for us to potentially get close to Helheim and get his attention before we kill him?"
  70. (Azir Toryia)
  71. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  72.
  73. [20:08] He leaned up against the wall, reeking of wine and whatever other appetizers they were offering up at the Gala.
  74.
  75. His eyes panned around the room before settling on Vesper as he spoke and explained their purpose. Truthfully, he didn't know anything about witches though he was a little familiar with Helheim and such.
  76.
  77. Zayn remained quiet for some time, using this opportunity for questions to instead absorb the information provided to them. It wasn't what he had pictured...but it'd definitely fill in that void he so desperately wanted gone. Maybe this was what he needed to do to finally feel fulfilled here on Esshar --a grand goal, something to set his sights on.
  78.
  79. As the others asked their questions, he'd come up with his own. "But...what if we summon it and we can't beat it? That'd be kinda...well, bad wouldn't it?"
  80. (Zayn Ixtan)
  81. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  82.
  83. [20:08] Favi Ixtan says, "I'm the strongest person to ever exist but.. I think we would need two or three more of me for someone like that."
  84. [20:10] Di'or arrived fashionably late. He wasn't particularly in any rush, but he had at least attended the meeting. Both hands shuffle around in his pockets, a stern gaze offered toward the room.
  85.
  86. Just be reading the atmosphere, he could denote what came next. Several words were thrown about, namely 'summon.', and 'dark lord.'
  87.
  88. "Oh... You're trying that, Vesper?"
  89.
  90. Slowly, he moves toward Yaluk, sitting beside him. Thereafter, he would disclose his own opinion.
  91.
  92. "Surely, you know how difficult that could be. Not just beating, but with the toll and effects it can risk. How will you mitigate that...?"
  93. (Di'or Toryia)
  94. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  95.
  96. [20:14] "You're welcome, and you're right," he said with a shrug of his shoulders. "Without conflict, a hunter cannot grow and develop. Trust me when I say that if this was a simple thing, it would've stayed such…"
  97.
  98. But it was never that easy. No matter how much he wanted to just have a life that was peaceful, there was going to be someone to kill, someone to attack, and someone to bring in. That is what the hunters were for.
  99.
  100. Yet, the question that came -- why a year. "Because, a year is all that is needed to grow and develop as you are, and even then. It is within that year that I hope you all aim to hone your abilities for the incoming raid on the dreadwoods to burn it down with the Fireblooded."
  101.
  102. "That is one step towards summoning the Darklord." The eyes moved over towards the questions. "It is simple." Vesper was going to take the leap, and it was going to be a dangerous one. "Years ago, in Theria, during a reign where the 'Task' family was involved, Stavros used magic to summon these… beings."
  103.
  104. "These beings were created to cause chaos and havoc through the land; ending a monarchy. Even though a lot of people in history say that it was the greatest spat of a family, it is that single magic that is able to get us closer to summoning him."
  105.
  106. How awful was it that he was going to risk many lives? How awful was it that he didn't care? It was all for his sake of revenge, but others may profit off of such without being directly involved -- hopefully. "Those beings were called Nethardin. Spirits of Evil."
  107.
  108. "During one of my single expeditions, I encountered one that was asking me -- begging me to seal a rift to the nothing -- a void of sorts. I have reason to believe that the void was a leap into Helheim itself -- I wanted to take it, but I know I am not ready."
  109.
  110. "Instead, I was able to close it with the help of a telescope -- but that can talked about later." The other questions were to come as well, and the first thing that he did was simple. "Riftmancy."
  111.
  112. "The utilization of opening the rifts to travel, can also be used to summon. Those Nethardin will be our biggest prey after the witches, and that is where we come in. They will cause chaos -- but we will be here to purify them."
  113.
  114. "My hypothesis is that when we take these beings out -- defeat them, purify them, this will wake that bastard up, and my hope is that we bring them in." A simple pause as he takes a moment to breathe.
  115.
  116. "I know that we're not ready right now to kill such; however, that is the end goal, to be strong like Favi to destroy it. When we do, we will be able to nullify the witches in full."
  117. (Vesper)
  118. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  119.
  120. [20:20]
  121. {LOAD GAME}
  122.
  123. [20:23] "I presumed there an ulterior motive to our residence in this house." He sighed, shaking his head and tapping his wooden seat with short fingernails. "While you are right about the elements of growth, Vesper... this will put all of us in great danger."
  124.
  125. He knew Vesper wasn't being completely transparent when it comes to the difficult of such a seemingly insurmountable task. Essentially, they wanted to commit deicide- and killing a celestial being... especially one ruling over the underworld would be nothing short of near-impossible.
  126.
  127. Yet, he did not plan to give up and abandon those who had taught him so much.
  128.
  129. "We will train, then. All of us. Together. There will be smaller obstacles to overcome before we even attempt to kill this Dark Lord. What do you plan to do, as a Witch Hunter, to mold this band of teenagers and young adults into warriors capable of living up to your expectations?" He raised brow, curious to learn more about Vesper's plan.
  130.
  131. There was no honesty in simplicity. Honesty lied in the details and motives.
  132. (Yaluk Ixtan)
  133. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  134.
  135. [20:25] Di'or breathed. He hadn't moved a single inch with every passing word from Vesper, the topic boding an odd familiarity within him. Patiently, he awaits his own turn to speak.
  136.
  137. "You..."
  138.
  139. His eyes would bulge wide open, his irises shrinking in a sudden fear. This fear had not been experienced in a matter of years, reminding him of his fatal injury- his fatal sacrifice needed.
  140.
  141. He stutters, albeit a little.
  142.
  143. "I d-didn't expect you to know about Nethradin, either. I didn't expect you to practice Riftmancy, either.
  144.
  145. I have my own confession, then."
  146.
  147. Once he clears his throat, he is quick to speak out his mind. "If you know how dangerous Nethradin are, why bother deciding to take all of them out? I too, had closed a rift when I was younger. However, it cost me a great toll upon my body.
  148.
  149. I suppose... because our paths are divided, but converge at a similar route. Nonetheless, I like this idea."
  150.
  151. His synapses dance in joy, as a singularity opened before him, one such that had aligned within Di'ors goal. The Wayfinder had finally met with the Rift-user.
  152.
  153.
  154. (Di'or Toryia)
  155. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  156.
  157. [20:27] The Task's summoned a horde of these Nethradin"? well that wasn't something you read about in the history books very often. Still it was unsurprising that the family had high points such as Dun Task and low points such as this Stavros.
  158.
  159. "Sounds like a risky plan but its certainly one worth embarking on. While our flames burn bright." As he spoke he'd ponder the raid upon the Dreadwoods. The Fireblooded would be the ones to commences the raid? Well there wasn't a great deal of Fireblooded he counted on when a fight would brake out.
  160.
  161. His gaze shifted from Vesper to take in the others within the room. Most of them, wait no all of them, where unknown to him. Well if they where following Vesper they had to be worthy comrades in some manor.
  162.
  163. "Well this'll be interesting if nothing else." As he said the words his gaze trailed back towards Vesper. Waiting for the leader of this group to speak once more.
  164. (Gajin)
  165. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  166.
  167. [20:30] A year.
  168.
  169. That's true, a year was all that they needed to develop so long as they focused solely on bettering themselves and preparing for such. A raid on the Dreadwoods to burn it to the ground? Osrona departed without bringing some people along, which was disgruntling. After all, Anastasia was hurt as a result of this.
  170.
  171. Though, raiding the Dreadwoods with the Fireblooded? After speaking with Varceal personally, Azir knew that the results would differ. This would most likely be a success, so long as everyone brought their A-game. Burning down the Dreadwoods would be bringing them closer to summoning the Dark Lord.
  172.
  173. "I see... So it's not just a one step process. Basically, you wanna destroy the Dark Lord's worshipers, or creations, or whatever... And then, if we stir enough shit up by taking out the Nethradin and the witches, it might be enough to wake him up."
  174.
  175. A pause.
  176.
  177. "Though... Maybe in doing that, he'dcome to us instead if he's mad enough. Otherwise, summoning Is a thing. Though, I guess more specific means to summoning him, if we need to, can be discussed once we're closer to that goal."
  178. (Azir Toryia)
  179. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  180.
  181. [20:37] "We won't go and do it now -- nor anytime in the near future, don't worry. We have more tangible troubles and situations to do will with," he said with a smile. "The first objective is to first take out Jianyu Xi, and with your skills, it should be easy."
  182.
  183. "Second is obtaining her book, finding out its secrets, and potentially, if possible, bring those that sold their souls back into the lights of the divines so that we can really piss them off."
  184.
  185. "I don't aim to take /all/ the Nethardin out, just enough to make him get to moving -- but taking him out won't be easy, and I know that as well. It will be hard, and many lives may be lost, but we will be successful."
  186.
  187. It was all for the sake of revenge; never for the situation of saving lives. That is what makes Vesper the most selfish in the room -- willing to lose it all in a gamble and potentially take the massive idea and risk of destroying a monsterwho created monsters.
  188.
  189. It was poetic in a way. "We won't be doing this in Theria, so innocent lives will be safe -- but we will be summoning them in the forests at the deads of the night, just to take them out and put them away properly -- purifying them."
  190.
  191. "No matter how many it takes, we will end up being successful. As to how I will prepare you guys, well, it is simple." Or, so he wanted to believe so that they can continue following his thought train. "You all have the assignment to take out a single Nethardin that may be lingering Esshar."
  192.
  193. "It will be a group effort -- it took a lot out of me to defeat one, but it should be easier in a group of you." He had a lot of faith in them, and that was his way of trusting them. Beyond a smirk, sinister intentions that will lead to freedom.
  194.
  195. "Beyond that, it will be practice against the occult and people who utilize the darkness for evil intentions. You have the idea of going forth to attack and bring in witches to the Temple if you ever wish to do it."
  196.
  197. "Beyond that -- you all got strong in your own special ways, and I expect that you guys will be able to obtain more." His faith was in question for them, but his hopes for them was not leaving. He was learning to trust again. "That is all I wish for."
  198.
  199. "Though, as for Wayfinding -- I don't care about the arts. However, if there is a rift I can't close -- it is a rift that you can. I may not be able to close them, but you just might." He nodded. Azir was getting the picture, and that is probably for the best.
  200.
  201. "Maybe you can teach others, Di'or, how to use such to close said rifts, and I can allocate the runes to enhance my own, but for now -- don't worry much about it." Or perhaps they should, minimally. "We have time, though."
  202.
  203. "During that time -- keep this quiet. I'll be meeting with the Vartuuls and the Stellus to find a Lighthouse, and I may be able to use such to even weaken this lord to make the idea of killing them faster."
  204. (Vesper)
  205. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  206.
  207. [20:43] A bit curious now he wonders, what was the dark lord. His weaknesses, was it even a he? There was something he felt all beings shared and that was weaknesses.
  208.
  209. He had his own, and they were many.
  210.
  211. Yet those at the top? They often had secret safe guarded weaknesses. Some even going out of their way to eradicate it completely if possible. He smiled and then stood from the wall.
  212.
  213. "I'm faster than rifts, all that mumbo jumbo. You just let me know when to shake those witches up and then point the Darklord out to me, I'll handle everything else."
  214.
  215. He was serious, he'd been on his own journey as of late to try and please his spirit. He wanted to gain a blessing beyond anything simple, he wanted to embody a deities spiritual energy.
  216.
  217. Do their bidding here and show off in the process.
  218.
  219. A teen, one driven by malice and spontaneous thoughts. He was prepared to train twice as hard for both of these things secretly.
  220.
  221. "Does that mean people like Rakehall should get beat up?" The gist of he occult and defenses against them. Perhaps fighting them would make him stronger.
  222. (Favi Ixtan)
  223. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  224.
  225. [20:47] Favi Ixtan asks, "Your girlfriend?"
  226. [20:47] Vesper says, "Hell no."
  227. [20:48] Favi Ixtan says, "Ah, old fling."
  228. [20:48] Vesper says, "Hell if I know."
  229. [20:48] The first objective came past, and Di'ors ears would perk up. Never in his life, had he came to resent a single person so much, although Vesper had likely hated the Witch even more than he had.
  230.
  231. Much to his surprise, the Toryia is corrected in the folly he started with. It wasn't to take out all, but at least enough to aggravate the Dark Lord.
  232.
  233. "I see." he muttered underneath his breath, realising the minor blunder he had made. Although, he couldn't help but think about just how much would 'enough' be. One? Three? Seven? Twenty? The Number could be any.
  234.
  235. With any case, the other task at hand was to steal Jianyu's knowledge, and defeat a single Nethradin. In the past, it took Di'or and the rest of the Blue Lions just to defeat one, so he knew how difficult it could be.
  236.
  237. It was possible.
  238.
  239. "I definitely could. Us two working in unison would be for the better, surely. Matter of fact, I don't think there's been a single unification between both styles of spatial magic, until now.
  240.
  241. He clenches his fist, a determination grasping as his heart.
  242.
  243. History began, now.
  244. (Di'or Toryia)
  245. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  246.
  247. [20:50] There was a lot going into this the energies of several prominent figures to back this group of witch hunter. He couldn't help but wonder how long Verpser had been working to form a group like this in the background. Surely it'd been years in the making.
  248.
  249. His attention did spark at the talk of Runes, it was something he himself had a fascination with. Ever since his time within the Red Fortress revealed the power of the Dragon Runes to him. "What's this about Runes and Wayfinding?" He knew vaguely about what it was. A counterpoint to the more destructive Riftmancy. Still it was a curious thing to hear mentioned.
  250.
  251. His curiosity was peaked when it came to these things. Still his focus shifted towards the ceiling of the room. "I'm not worried about fighting any of the Witches or Occultists. Rakehell wasn't overly powerful and he dabbled with the Occult for years. I imagine so long as you've got the grit they won't be an issue."
  252.
  253. With a sigh his gaze traveled down from the ceiling towards the floor. It wasn't going to be easy to deal with the Nethradin. Yet, with each one slain Ryujin's will would be done.
  254. (Gajin)
  255. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  256.
  257. [20:53] Beyond that -- you all got strong in your own special ways, and I expect that you guys will be able to obtain more.
  258.
  259. Xolin didn't bring much in the way of riftmancy or wayfinding. His prowess in those arts was unexplored and would likely never be dabbled upon unless Di'or or Vesper personally dragged him into it.
  260.
  261. His connection with the spirits of the world was higher than most given his past, but nowhere near the most devote worshippers amongst his tribe. He was no Shaman and his contributions to this group would likely have to be in other ways.
  262.
  263. But they had a common goal in mind and that was where they'd gather most of their power from. Unity.
  264.
  265. Standing together is far better than standing alone. Talk of Nethradin interested Xolin, but that interest would have to be saved for later as the meeting was still ongoing. Maybe he'd pick up a book or two regarding them now that his reading skills had improved.
  266.
  267. "Tell me if you need anything, I'm not sure I can contribute in the way of riftmancy but my physical body is able and ready. If you need supplies, materials, anything.
  268.
  269. I'm here, I'll do what I must to help."
  270. (Xolin)
  271. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  272.
  273. [20:55] "So be it, then." He nodded off, seeing that most if not everyone was agreeing with all of this. "I expect results soon, and for all of you to grow when you can. It will be a wonderful end to a plague that has ruined my-"
  274.
  275. A pause. "Our lives. You all have your orders; I want a full on story about how you brought down such a thing." A nod giving to Di'or on the notion of Spatial -- but it was a brief one that only had him turning away.
  276.
  277. "If you want to learn, then Di'or can teach you this Wayfinding. I prefer to tear anyway." A nod to come. "Meeting dismissed. Keep your words in this room and train harder than ever before."
  278.
  279. "I will need you; all of you."
  280. (Vesper)
  281. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  282.
  283. [20:59] "Affirmative.
  284.
  285. Until the next time."
  286.
  287. With that Xolin would give a quick nod and head off.
  288.
  289. Their work here was done and now it was time to bring their dream to reality. Power was a necessity to complete everything they wished to do and each and every one of their members needed to possess it in some way, shape, or form.
  290.
  291. So Xolin would go out to find his own power, whatever it may be.
  292. (Xolin)
  293. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  294.
  295. [21:00] Shrugging he figured it was time to go. He wanted to train, not talk. Witches to kill and demons to fight, it sounded like an eventful few years on the horizon for the boy.
  296.
  297. His hands held up high as he marched out of the area, he was prepared to go and train in the caves, hopefully some Achyon soldiers made their way away from home. It sounded like something that would bring some fun for him.
  298.
  299. Witches to the east, Synthetics to the west, being right in the middle of everything made him feel good. It was like being in an action packed sandwich.
  300.
  301. "Gonna go train, see ya."
  302. (Favi Ixtan)
  303. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  304.
  305. [21:00] Vesper's words are harmony to his ears. Di'or takes away from his seat, pounding his chest in a quick, hearty salute to display his valor.
  306.
  307. "Anyway you manipulate the life stream is fine, Vesper. I only delved into Wayfinding because of Aerilon. Besides, Riftmancy is a faster route.
  308.
  309. In any case, you have our word. I will keep everything that was said well within the quarters of this Guild."
