  4. >I lost my job a month ago
  5. >Sell off most of my stuff to help pad my bank account a bit
  6. >After all, I have to make sure that I can survive a bit longer if things continue to go south
  7. >Got a new job at the next town over
  8. >My friend knew I was desperate, and don't really have much experience working
  9. >He recommended it to me, saying that they'll hire anyone and all they needed was my application
  10. >It's a weird situation altogether, and supposedly the place is haunted
  11. >Friend repeatedly said that, too
  12. >If that's not weird enough, the job's a live-in groundskeeper
  13. >Pay's not great, but I can't complain - it has free room and board
  14. >Take the bus to the next town, since I don't actually have a car
  15. >Transfer off of it and onto the local bus
  16. >Sit way in the back because I know my stop is at the end of the line
  17. >A little research goes a long way after all
  18. >Notice that the sun's getting low on the horizon
  19. >I probably should've taken an earlier bus, but I didn't want to leave at five in the morning
  20. >A few people get on at the next stop in the center of town
  21. >I look over everyone getting on, freezing when a woman wearing black awkwardly walks along the outside of the bus
  22. >She’s walking like both her knees and hips need to be replaced
  23. >Her clothes cling to her every movement, as if they were a part of her
  24. >Who the hell wears a veil nowadays too?
  25. >Damn... she's got some curves too
  26. >She turns her head a little, and her left green eye slowly rolls to look through her veil at me, making me jump
  27. >Quickly turn and face forward in the bus
  28. >She slowly walks towards the front of the bus
  29. >Oh god is she getting on?
  30. >The bus quiets down as she walks past each of the full aisles
  31. >Not walk, shambles… like a zombie or something
  32. >Shitshitshit she's walking all the way down the aisle
  33. >People ahead of me try to take up more space so that she doesn't sit next to them
  34. >I had already put my luggage overhead, and there's clearly an open spot beside me
  35. >PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE at least sit on the other side of the aisle
  36. >Turn to look out the window to avoid looking at her
  37. >I hear her shuffle into the seat on the other side of the aisle
  38. >OHTHANKGOD
  39. >The people in front of me slowly resume talking
  40. >I glance her way and quickly look away
  41. >She’s smiling at me - or she started smiling as soon as I was turning my head
  42. >I mean… that’s not right
  43. >But I’ll be damned if I don’t want to look again
  44. >Something about her just makes my insides squirm, but at the same time, I want to look again
  45. >Maybe I can sneak a view of her when I look forwards, or look at her from the corner of my eye
  46. >Look towards the bus driver as he slows down at a red light
  47. >Slowly look at her and immediately turn my head towards my window
  48. >She’s still smiling
  49. >”Excuuuse me sir?”
  50. >Oh god is she talking to me? Wait, is that her voice? It’s so freaking smooth...
  51. >”Sir?”
  52. >I look towards her smiling face
  53. >I’ll be damned if her smile isn’t anything but cute
  54. >But holy hell I’m freaked out
  55. >There’s something in the air around her that makes my insides squirm
  56. >She tilts her head a little to her right, and her fingers press out the black cloth of her skirt
  57. >I point to myself
  58. “Uh.. a-are you talking to me?”
  59. >Her smile fades a little
  60. >Oh god I’ve made her angry
  61. “Sorry, uh… H-how can I help?”
  62. >Her smile grows back to its previous size
  63. >”I have not seen you in town before, so I was wondering why you were here.”
  64. “Uh, work. Moving cause of work…. W-what about you?”
  65. >She tilts her head the other way, keeping one eye on me
  66. >”Sometimes I just need to... enjoy the local cuisine and...stretch my legs… so to speak.”
  67. >I nod and face forwards
  68. >My heart is racing
  69. >She’s just a woman, but goddamn something isn’t right
  70. >I glance back at her to see her smile completely gone
  71. >Oh shit - damage control
  72. >The bus pulls over at the first stop and a few people scramble to get off
  73. >I point my thumb back the way we came
  74. “S-so do you have any recommendations for restaurants here?”
  75. >Her smile instantly comes back
  76. >”Oh yes. I absolutely adore the Ceres’ Family diner. It’s a shame that they’ve stopped serving liver and onions there, but all of their food is simply delicious.”
  77. >She folds her hands neatly in front of her, and she looks out of the window
  78. >"I've learned so many recipes from them over the years."
  79. >Even with all of the creepy vibes she gives off, she’s still pretty
  80. >She looks back towards me with her smile, and I look away
  81. >Two rows of people get off, and a couple people get on
  82. >”Excuse me sir?”
  83. >I look back
  84. “Y-yeah?”
  85. >”Why do you keep looking at me?”
  86. >The people in front of me move one row forward now that the seats are open
  87. >My heart thumps louder out of fear
  88. >Her smile looks a little strained right now
  89. >”Please answer truthfully sir. You will not hurt my feelings.”
  90. >More like it feels like you’ll see through me if I even attempt to lie
  91. “Just… Your smile…”
  92. >The bus lurches forward
  93. >Her smile disappears and she covers her mouth with her right hand
  94. >”There’s something wrong with my smile?”
  95. “No, uh… You h-have a cute smile…”
  96. >She gently lowers her hand
  97. >Her upper lip quivers a little and I look into her eyes
  98. >Were they always that shade of green?
  99. >I don’t think they were that type of green
  100. >I turn away
  101. “I m-mean, you’re pretty too… And that’s what I was thinking, and sorry for staring.”
  102. >”S-sir?”
  103. >I slowly look towards her
  104. >She’s back smiling like she was before
  105. >That terrifying aura is still hanging about her, but… maybe it isn’t as bad?
  106. “Y-yes?”
  107. >She tilts her head, “Thank you for telling the truth.”
  108. >I quickly look towards the front
  109. “N-no problem.”
  110. >”You can stare more if you so desire…”
  111. >Oh god that voice is so smooth
  112. >Wait, she’s inviting me to stare more?
  113. >No-no, resist. I don’t think my heart can stand the terror
  114. >I politely wave my hand to her
  115. “I’m fine. Thank you.”
  116. >The next several stops come and go and she hasn’t left the bus yet
  117. >It’s dark now, and there’s only a couple more stops before the end of the line
  118. >Everyone else has gotten off, there’s only the three of us on the bus now: her, myself, and the driver
  119. >The driver asks us all
  120. >”Okay, which one of the stops are y'all getting off? Only have this'n two more.”
  121. >The woman raises her hand, “My stop is the end of the line.”
  122. >My voice catches in my throat
  123. >We’re getting off at the same stop
  124. >Shitshitshit
  125. >”Sir?”
  126. >I force a smile and look her way, “Yes?”
  127. >”I do believe that sir driver has asked us both a question.”
  128. “Uh… the-the same.”
  129. >She relays it to him
  130. >”He is also getting off at the end of the line.”
  131. >My heart feels like it’s trying to pound its way out of my chest
  132. >I know she’s looking at me
  133. >I look her way and ask
  134. “Miss? What places are there at the end of the line?”
  135. >She’s grinning now
  136. >”There is only the mansion. Are you the new groundskeeper?”
  137. >I swallow and nod
  138. >She taps her fingers together and bobs her head side to side, smiling the entire time
  139. >”Oh this is fantastic! It was a fine coincidence that you and I met today! I will gather your things and take them to your room. Then I will show you your duties tomorrow morning.”
  140. “G-great… Just great."
  141. >She covers her mouth as she giggles
  142. >Chills run up my spine
  143. >Her giggle sounds vaguely gurgly and slightly muffled… with undertones that can't be described as normal
  144. >Even the driver is creeped the fuck out and decides to speed up
  145. >She clears her throat
  146. >"Forgive me for my rude attitude. I have not had an applicant like you before. It is quite refreshing."
  147. >I nod
  148. >I don’t think I’m going to be able to work there
  149. >Open my mouth to speak
  150. >She’s looking at me
  151. >No wait… is she’s pouting?
  152. >Does she know what I’m thinking?
  153. >”Sir?”
  154. “Y-yeah? What’s up?”
  155. >She glances up, then points at the roof
  156. >”Can you see well enough? We are riding a bus and there is the roof of the bus above us.”
  157. “No, I mean, it doesn’t literally mean what’s above you.”
  158. >Okay, so she’s still confused and a little sheltered too
  159. “It’s like… asking what’s going on, or what are you thinking?”
  160. >Realization dawns on her and she breaks out in a smile
  161. >She drops her fist into her palm
  162. >”Amazing! Ah, forgive me for becoming excited over something so trivial.”
  163. “It’s no problem. So what’s your question?”
  164. >She stares at me with her yellow eyes
  165. >Wait weren’t they green before? Maybe it’s a trick of the crappy lighting in here
  166. >”Please answer my question truthfully. Am I frightening?”
  167. >That same feeling of terror strikes me
  168. >She forces a little smile and orders
  169. >”Please answer it truthfully.”
  170. >Shit
  171. “Truthfully?”
  172. >She nods as her smile disappears
  173. >The bus speeds past the empty bus stop
  174. “Y-yeah.”
  175. >I can clearly hear my heartbeat in my ears
  176. >It sounds like it’s beating 10 times as loud and fast
  177. >She’s definitely upset
  178. >The bus lights flicker
  179. “B-but uh… maybe..”
  180. >She looks intensely at me
  181. >It’s like she really just wants the truth
  182. “Maybe it’s because I just don’t know you well enough... yet…?”
  183. >Her jaw drops
  184. >She covers her mouth and looks out the left window
  185. >”Is that so?”
  186. >My heart seems to go back to beating twice as loud
  187. >I’m definitely riding the fight or flight response, and I don’t like it
  188. >More like, she makes it feel like there’s no escape, even if I were to fight or run away
  189. >She continues looking out the left window
  190. >”Well you are definitely more honest than all of the previous applicants.”
  191. >The bus speeds past the second empty stop
  192. >Oh look a little grocery store… and then it’s out of view
  193. >I think the driver has to be going nearly 70mph on these dark roads
  194. >Definitely adding to the suspense
  195. >He keeps glancing through his mirror at us
  196. >I look over at the woman across the aisle
  197. >She’s gently patting her cheeks
  198. “Uh… miss?”
  199. >”Eh? Sir? How can I assist?”
  200. “Is everything okay?”
  201. >She quickly brings her hands down and presses the cloth on her black skirt again
  202. >”Ah, yes. I am quite well. I had simply noticed that it was rather late, and I wish to be in the comfort of my own room as soon as possible.”
  203. “Sounds like you’re tired.”
  204. >She looks rather confused
  205. >Truth be told, I’m confused as to why she’s confused
  206. “Well, uh… I’ll be glad to have a place to stay, despite the rumors.”
  207. >My stomach drops
  208. >Oh crap she’s pissed
  209. >More than pissed
  210. >Her eye twitches and the corners of her mouth twitch a little higher than normal
  211. >She says through gritted teeth
  212. >”Please answer truthfully sir. What kind of rumors have you heard regarding my wonderful home?”
  213. >I swallow and can’t seem to catch my breath
  214. “It-it’s haunt-”
  215. >I cough
  216. “Haunted.”
  217. >I’m suddenly able to breathe, and she once again looks confused
  218. >”Haunted?”
  219. “Y-yeah.”
  220. >She raises a finger
  221. >”You mean, haunted: as if a ghost were residing there?”
  222. “That’s- uh what I heard.”
  223. >She starts laughing
  224. >Every hair on my body feels like it’s standing on end
  225. >Chills freeze me in place
  226. >Just like her giggle, there’s a gurgling noise beneath it all with the abnormal undertones too
  227. >It’s just that the abnormal tones are more pronounced
  228. >After a few moments she wipes a finger under her dry eyes to wipe up imaginary tears
  229. >”Oh my, as if I would let a ghost reside in my sanctuary.”
  230. >I slowly nod and look out the window
  231. >Well, it appears the supernatural doesn’t scare her at all
  232. >No matter what a ghost could do, I’m inclined to agree that she’d be able to kick them out
  233. >I finally notice that we’re definitely outside the town
  234. >And from my position in the speeding bus, I can look out over the rest of the town
  235. >The tires begin screeching, and I slam headfirst into the seat in front of me
  236. >The driver shouts, “END OF THE LINE.”
  237. >I shake the dizziness out of my head and slowly stand up
  238. >She’s already pulling my luggage down from overhead
  239. >I hastily take it from her
  240. “It’s okay, I can handle this.”
  241. >She bows her head
  242. >”As you wish. Please follow me.”
  243. >She walks up to the front and holds her fist over the money machine
  244. >”Sir driver? I wish to tip you for the wonderful ride.”
  245. >The driver’s sweating bullets, but he doesn’t dare disobey
  246. >Nor does he look in her direction
  247. >He holds his hand under hers and I see her open her hand
  248. >A second after it’s open, a single gold coin drops out of it
  249. >Why did it take so long to fall...
  250. >I wonder if it’s one of those weird dollar coins that were going around several years ago
  251. >I wordlessly follow her to the bus stop, watching as the bus turns around in the mansion driveway before speeding off into the night
  252. >She gestures towards the winding driveway
  253. >”Welcome to my home.”
  254. >I can’t actually see anything beyond the first curve in the gated driveway
  255. >It’s like there’s a literal forest growing between the road and the mansion
  256. “E-excuse me miss?”
  257. >She smiles sweetly, “What is your question sir?”
  258. “Are you- uh, are you my employer?”
  259. >”Why of course.”
  260. “Can I know your name? Or would you prefer that I call you miss for now?”
  261. >She giggles again and covers her mouth
  262. >”Oh my… sir, please. I do not believe we have that close of a relationship. I am your employer, and you are my employee.”
  263. >She takes a few steps further into the shadows
  264. >”Please continue to refer to me as miss. Come along now. I will show you to your room.”
  265. >Now I know she didn’t walk that smoothly before
  266. >Now she’s almost gliding…
  267. >Walk through a few puddles as I follow her to the gate
  268. >The gate opens automatically, and a light turns on in the distance
  269. >She keeps her pace a few steps ahead of me, turning back to make sure that I’m actually following her
  270. >Smiling the entire time
  271. >Can’t help feeling that I’m walking into a trap
  272. >Like an organ harvesting ring or some crazy shit
  273. >Then I see the mansion
  274. “Holy shit.”
  275. >I can feel the anger radiating from her
  276. “Uh, I didn’t mean…Uh it’s huge. Bigger than I expected.”
  277. >”What were you going to say?”
  278. “I didn’t mean anything bad. I was just surprised.”
  279. >Her anger slowly fades
  280. >"I see…"
  281. >Seemingly content with my answer, she glides up the stairs to the front porch and waits beneath the strangely yellow light
  282. >Her dress and veil cast eerie shadows underneath her
  283. >Almost like the shadows beneath are moving independent of her
  284. >”Would you care for a meal before sleeping for the night?”
  285. >Every fiber of my being wants me to scream NO
  286. >Then again, I don’t think she would like it if I screamed
  287. “Uh, no thank you.”
  288. >She nods and opens the door, taking a few steps inside
  289. >My heart starts thumping louder
  290. >It feels like this is the last chance I have to run
  291. >I walk up onto the front porch
  292. >Only two steps until I can’t turn back
  293. >One more…
  294. >I see her smiling sweetly inside and pause at the door frame
  295. >Even if her smile is cute, when everything else is terrifying it simply adds to the terror
  296. >I take a deep breath in and cross the threshold
  297. >I can smell and hear a fire crackling in the room ahead
  298. >She glides down the hall
  299. >”Please leave your shoes at the entrance. I do not like having to clean excess dirt from my floors.”
  300. >Looking down at the hardwood floors, I’m taken aback
  301. >I can literally see my reflection in them
  302. >I take off my shoes and place them on the floor mat beside the door, then push the heavy wood door shut
  303. >Upon hearing the door shut, she peeks around the dim wood-walled hallway to look towards me
  304. >”You have not run away…”
  305. >Oh god she expected me to run away
  306. >This was a mistake, I mean, why else would she expect people to run away, right?
  307. >Both her hands shakily cover her mouth
  308. >I can’t grasp specifically what emotion she’s radiating, but whatever it is doesn’t feel normal
  309. >”Ah, sir! Please, your room is right this way. I hope you do not mind the room overlooking the courtyard.”
  310. >I can’t even form words now
  311. >Terror, regret, despair, or some combo of all three keep me silent and complicit
  312. >I follow her to the living room
  313. >The west side of the room is dominated by a massive black stone fireplace, while the small flickering fire inside adds more to the terror factor
  314. >One other thing that has to be mentioned…
  315. >It looks big enough to roast a whole cow with room to spare
  316. >Pristine antique furniture draws your gaze towards the fireplace
  317. >Dust free bookshelves line the walls
  318. >Full bookshelves mind you - not an empty spot anywhere
  319. >And my gaze drifts up to the huge wood logs supporting the roof twenty feet above me
  320. >And the whole north wall appears to be covered with slats that reach from the roof, down to the floor
  321. >Lastly, a single painting showing an oddly geometric shape adorns the east wall
  322. >”Sir? Please do not tarry. Your bed has already been prepared for you. If there is anything not to your liking inside, please let me know immediately.”
  323. >I look up and to the right at her, then to the left…
  324. >Of course there’s a staircase on either side
  325. >I mechanically climb the right stairs and she opens the bedroom door
  326. >”Here is your room, sir. Please inspect it and inform me if there is anything out of place.”
  327. >I nod and step inside
  328. >There are a pair of french windows to the east, the queen size bed faces them on the opposite side of the room...
  329. >Two lit ornate metal lamps resting on nightstands beside the bed, a dresser against the north and south wall...
  330. >As far as decorations go, this room doesn’t have the terror factor the rest of the house has
  331. >Which unfortunately is terrifying in and of itself
  332. “B-bathroom?”
  333. >”Excuse me?”
  334. >I clear my throat
  335. “W-where is the bathroom?”
  336. >I feel a small vibration at my feet and she points inside the room and to the south
  337. >I’m pretty sure that door wasn’t there before
  338. >I open it, surprised to see a fully furnished rustic looking bathroom
  339. >Tub, shower, sink, toilet, mirrors, everything
  340. “U-uh, thanks… Everything… everything looks good.”
  341. >She smiles and gives a polite bow
  342. >”I promise not to intrude upon your room from now on, and I expect the same from you.”
  343. >The second half feels more like a threat than anything else
  344. >I nod instinctively
  345. >More like I’m certain that if I did enter her room, I’d end up dead
  346. >She closes the door behind her, leaving me alone with my thoughts
  347. >And now that I can’t actually see her, my heart slowly goes back to it’s natural volume
  348. >Then the exhaustion hits
  349. >I’m barely able to change my shirt before I drop down onto the queen sized bed
  350. “Oh my god… it’s so soft…”
  351.
  352. >Wake up to a bright room
  353. >Like a really bright room
  354. >Push myself up off of the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in my entire life and realize that the morning sun is what woke me up
  355. >And that I have all of my organs
  356. >At least I assume I still have them
  357. >Feel around my sides for any tender spots
  358. >Okay… Maybe it’s not an organ harvesting ring?
  359. >I change my clothes and put the dirty ones in a plastic bag, then slowly open my door
  360. >The small fire inside the massive hearth appears to be the exact same size as the night before
  361. >And the only sound I could hear is the quiet crackle of the fire
  362. >I shut the door and get my wallet
  363. >I need something to eat, and I don’t want to eat here
  364. >Or maybe I wouldn’t be able to eat here with how terrifying she is
  365. >I’ll head down to that grocery store I saw and see if I can get something simple to eat
  366. >Write out a quick note on the back of an old receipt stating that I’m just going to run to the store and come back
  367. >Then open my door and slide it into a gap in the ornate paneling on my door
  368. >Quietly head downstairs and out the front door
  369. >In the daylight, I can see how poorly maintained the grounds are
  370. >Bushes, hedges, flowerbeds, even - well, I assume it’s the lawn- is overgrown with weeds and brush
  371. >It looks like the leaves haven’t been raked in at least ten years, and the only thing that’s spotless outside is the porch and driveway
  372. >I head down the driveway and to the gate, jumping when it opens for me
  373. >There doesn’t appear to be any sensors, and now I can see the old fashioned spiked wall running through the forest
  374. >I nod and jog past, keeping an easy pace
  375. >I make it to the second bus stop and see a few people milling about
  376. >Find out they have a bakery and buy some fresh croissants and a cream filled doughnut
  377. >The young cashier tells me
  378. >”You look like you’re not from around here. If you’re this far from town, I think you’ve missed your stop.”
  379. >I point up the road
  380. “Actually I’m living up the road.”
  381. >Everyone that heard me goes silent
  382. >He looks towards someone over my shoulder
  383. “Did I do something wrong?”
  384. >An elderly man takes my elbow
  385. >He must be the store manager
  386. >”Please, we don’t want any trouble. Just take what you buy and go. Please…”
  387. “Oh, okay… Is there some sort of-”
  388. >”SHHHHHHH… Take your items and go.”
  389. >He points out the door
  390. “Alright…Uh, thanks...”
  391. >Yep, I’m gonna die
  392. >I knew it from the moment I looked at her
  393. >I didn’t listen to my head… wait
  394. >Could I run away from here?
  395. >A cold sweat rolls down my neck
  396. >It’s almost like I can feel her gaze
  397. >I turn around in the parking lot, looking slightly wildly, but there’s nothing in sight
  398. >It’s almost like her eyes are glued to my back, no matter where I look
  399. >There’s no way in hell I can run
  400. >Steeling myself, I take the croissant and start eating it on my way back
  401. >I take twice the amount of time to get back
  402. >And finish eating everything that I bought
  403. >Take a deep breath in and walk towards that wrought iron gate
  404. >Once again, it opens for me
  405. >This time I notice that it doesn’t even have any visible motors
  406. >Fuck it - don’t bother analyzing anything else here
  407. >This whole place doesn’t feel like it fits in with reality
  408. >I walk to the front door, jumping when it opens in front of me
  409. >She’s standing in front of me, both hands covering her mouth
  410. >Wearing a full sleeve, floor length purple and yellow dress, with a purple veil to top it off
  411. >Once again, it’s like the dress is skin-tight
  412. >And I can tell she’s amazed - she’s literally radiating amazement
  413. >AAaand now I’m certain that her eyes change colors, now that they’re a shade of blue
  414. >”You… You came back?”
  415. >I point in the general direction of my bedroom door
  416. “I uh… left a note.”
  417. >She waves her hands frantically in front of her
  418. >”I KNOW. It is just... I am extremely grateful. Please, come inside, but again, please leave your shoes by the door. Please!”
  419. >She excitedly bows out of the way
  420. >I take off my shoes and crumple the trash in my fist
  421. “Sorry about taking off before work, but I didn’t want to work on an empty stomach.”
  422. >She gets flustered and takes it from me, dropping it into a bin by the door
  423. >“Oh I would have been delighted to make you anything your heart desires.”
  424. >She stutters
  425. “P-please, next time simply tell me what you wish to eat, and I will make it for you.”
  426. >She presses a hand into her expansive chest
  427. >”I am confident in my ability to prepare any and all food.”
  428. >Holy crap she’s got a hell of a rack
  429. >How did I miss that before
  430. >Quickly look away before she realizes that I’ve been staring at her tits
  431. >Clear my throat and gesture to the living room
  432. “Uh, can we talk about the job?”
  433. >She excitedly glides in front of me and sits in one of the antique chairs
  434. >Maybe she was just tired of walking before
  435. >She gestures to the mismatched tea set and the chair beside it
  436. >There’s a black teacup and a white one sitting on the platter
  437. >Don’t they normally come all in one matching color?
  438. >”Care for a cup of tea? I quite enjoy it myself. Ah, wait a moment. Let me open the blinds.”
  439. >She looks at the northeast corner, and slowly the slat wood paneling slides west, revealing an enormous wall of windows
  440. “Yep. That’s a totally normal way to open blinds…”
  441. >Freeze as I realize that I’ve actually said that out loud
  442. “Ah-uh…”
  443. >She simply looks towards me with that same cute smile
  444. >”Yes?”
  445. “You… Screw it.”
  446. >She quickly covers her mouth
  447. >I sit down in the chair across the tea table
  448. “You like honesty, right?”
  449. >I’m pretty sure she’s blushing hard right now, especially with how she’s trying to cover her face
  450. “Well honestly, the way you opened the blinds isn’t normal. It’s scary as hell.”
  451. >”Oh my, I apologize!”
  452. “Even when you stated that you would make anything my heart desires, it’s scary.”
  453. >”B-but, if I’m not a hospitable host, you might want to leave!”
  454. “Building up a relationship is important before saying something like that. Otherwise people will think you’re… I don’t know…Going to cut them up and sell their organs.”
  455. >She jumps to her feet, “I would NEVER hurt a human!”
  456. >I raise a finger
  457. “And that’s something else that you probably shouldn’t say around me, or any humans.”
  458. >”Why shouldn’t I say that? It’s the truth!”
  459. “It might be true, but you need to change how you word it. You make it sound that you’re not a human.”
  460. >She swallows, “Not… a human… I understand.”
  461. >Her expression darkens a little more
  462. >”I am frightening, because I am not a human.”
  463. “I didn’t mean that you weren’t human, just-”
  464. >She holds up a hand and stops me
  465. >”No, I mean, I am not a human.”
  466. “Oh. Well…”
  467. >Thinking back on things
  468. >Kind of makes sense now
  469. >There’s a squelching noise beneath her dress
  470. >Yep, I’m gonna die now
  471. >She lifts her dress a little
  472. >”If you wish to run, now is the time. If you stay and watch, then run later, I will remove every memory of myself.”
  473. >My heart pounds
  474. >She.. She sounds different that before
  475. “You won’t kill me?”
  476. >She solemnly shakes her head
  477. >”We will have never met, and you will go on your life forever without knowing who I am”
  478. “Sounds lonely…”
  479. >I pour some tea into the black teacup beside hers
  480. >Mix in a bit of sugar and take a sip
  481. >Best damn cup of tea I’ve ever had
  482. >And she’s blushing and covering her mouth with her right hand
  483. >Forget the terror
  484. >She’s cute
  485. “Carry on.”
  486. >”Ah, of-of course. Yes. As you wish.”
  487. >She begins peeling the dress off
  488. >Wait she’s peeling it off…?
  489. >Underneath she appears like an ink-black slime
  490. >With more yellow eyes throughout her slime body than any human should have
  491. >As the dress peels over her face, her hair turns into slime, with a gorgeous face, and two black and yellow eyes
  492. >Her face is a lighter shade of purple..Maybe mauve?
  493. >Wait, don’t focus on that
  494. >The dress splats to the ground beside her
  495. >Is… that a mouth at the base of her slime-dress…?
  496. >Oh, yep, that’s a tongue too..
  497. >Is that a maid outfit...made of slime?
  498. >At this point I’m still frozen by the sheer absurdity of it all
  499. >But at least this way, she doesn’t seem terrifying
  500. >Weird definitely
  501. >Otherworldly, sure
  502. >Hot? In a way that makes me feel very uncomfortable with myself, yes.
  503. >I chuckle
  504. “I must be insane…”
  505. >She looks away and begins reaching for the dress
  506. >”I will put my dress back on. Forgive me for-”
  507. >I take another sip of tea, and she shudders, quickly biting her knuckle
  508. >I hold the teacup up to her as a sort of toast
  509. “You’re not scary now. And this tea is amazing...”
  510. >She’s still biting her knuckle
  511. >I take another sip of tea
  512. >”Ahhhnn~”
  513. >Immediately spit out the tea
  514. >That’s a moan of pleasure if I’ve ever heard one before
  515. >She bites her knuckle harder, and I can definitely see her blush
  516. >”O-oh…. S-sir?”
  517. >She’s looking incredibly uncomfortable
  518. “U-uh… yes?”
  519. >”T-that cup…”
  520. >She wipes a bit of slimy drool from her lip
  521. >I look at the cup
  522. >It’s black… inky… kind of iridescent
  523. >Oh, must be hers… kind of a weird turn on for her maybe?
  524. >I offer her the cup back
  525. “Why didn’t you tell me that I was drinking from your cup?”
  526. >She shakes her head, blushing hard
  527. >Her right hand grabs the bottom of it
  528. >Oh… it’s melting into her… there’s a mouth on her hand too..Oh.
  529. “Oh.”
  530. >She nods, while continuing to blush
  531. >”Yes, that cup was a part of me. Although with how forward you were earlier, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.”
  532. >Forward? Wait what?
  533. >She drags her hands across the front of her slimy maid uniform, melding it with her membrane and revealing her bare - and slimy chest..
  534. >She has nipples… do slimes need- Wait, don’t focus on that.
  535. >”Please be gentle with me…”
  536. >My brain, dick, and heart all are screaming, and I don’t know how to react
  537. >My head’s the only one trying to protect my sanity, the other two… not so much
  538. >”Is… am I not to your liking? You said screw earlier, and I assumed… I mean, I can change into-”
  539. >I put up my hands first
  540. “I think you misunderstood me at some point-”
  541. >She quickly slides her hands back up, immediately covering herself with that maid outfit again
  542. >”Forgive me. It will not happen again.”
  543. “Hey, wait a second!”
  544. >She stands up and starts sliding up the west staircase
  545. “No just... damn. Let me explain myself!”
  546. >She points at herself
  547. >”I KNOW I AM REPULSIVE OKAY?”
  548. “No you aren’t.”
  549. >She stares intensely at me
  550. >”Tell me the truth.”
  551. >Well, it’s worked so far
  552. “You’re so hot that it’s making me question my sanity.”
  553. >Her gaze intensifies
  554. >Holy shit it makes the air feel heavy
  555. >”You… You are lying.”
  556. >It’s like she’s trying to trick herself with those words
  557. >Trying, but definitely failing
  558. >Or maybe just she wants to hear it again
  559. “No I’m not. You’re beautiful, but I’d… you know, rather get to know your name first.”
  560. >I take a deep breath in
  561. “I’ve clung to logic for so long, and now I’m in a situation where logic doesn’t apply…”
  562. >I gesture to her
  563. >Both my heart and dick are saying the same thing, but my mind has it’s one last quirk
  564. “Let’s learn each other’s names first, then see where the day takes us…”
  565. >She hesitates
  566. “What’s there to lose?”
  567. >”W-when someone who is not worthy of one of us learns of our name…”
  568. >She shakes her head
  569. >”If you are not worthy, my name alone will turn you insane.”
  570. >I get up and stand at the bottom of the stairs
  571. “Sounds lonely.”
  572. >She nods
  573. >I walk up the stairs
  574. “What happens if I am worthy?”
  575. >Her face brightens
  576. >”Ah- umm… Then a contract will be formed. We’ll be together forever...Any time you call my name, I will be summoned to your side. Not that I would ever leave your side, master.”
  577. >She covers her mouth
  578. “Master?”
  579. >That’s definitely her blushing face
  580. “Well, my name’s Anon. How about you give me a little bit of your name… maybe I can make a nickname of it?”
  581. >She nods
  582. >”I will spell out a version of my first name in your tongue.”
  583. >She hesitates and slowly spells it out
  584. >”N-e-p-h-l-a-c-a-x-o-d-z-o-r-a-d-a-k-r-i.”
  585. “N-e-p-h-l-a-c-a...Would Nephlaca be a suitable nickname?”
  586. >I open my arms wondering what she's going to do
  587. "Did-"
  588. >She launches herself down the stairs, slamming her slimy body into mine
  589. >I know I fell over, but I never touched the floor
  590. “Nnnnn-”Oh god why did I ever resist this
  591. >Nephlacaxodzoradakri
  592. >Her first name fills my head, written in runes that I’m certain I don’t know, but for whatever reason I can read it
  593. >I kiss into the slime that covers most of my torso, surprised to see her face and lips kissing right back
  594. >I can barely hold it in any longer
  595. >It already feels like I'm being sucked off, even with my clothes in the way
  596. >Well who gives a shit about staining clothes with Nephlaca’s slime is all over…
  597. >”I hope you don’t mind that I - AAAahn”
  598. >God, the moans she makes when I kiss her are to die for
  599. >Add in the sound coming from multiple mouths too...
  600. >”- got rid of your clothes…”
  601. >Well, that's convenient
  602. >”Anon, I feel how hard you are… Why are you torturing yourself like this.”
  603. >I could probably just cum from her voice alone, with how beautiful it is
  604. “Nephlaca…”
  605. >Her voice seems to be coming from every mouth on her body
  606. >”Do not hold it in any longer. Cum for me… I am sooo hungry for it….”
  607. >I let it all out for her
  608. >Just as she cries in ecstasy too
  609. >Another name drives itself into my head
  610. >Barely pronounceable, just like her first name, and in those same runes
  611. >Zrxakorlwzkervoknizhn
  612. >She presses her lips against mine again
  613. >Being enveloped in her feels like I’m in heaven - or in otherworldly bliss
  614. >Same thing - who cares
  615. >The two names burn into the forefront of my mind
  616. >Burning hotter with each passing moment
  617. >She pulls away, just as I need to breathe
  618. >With a gasp I quietly whisper
  619. “Nephlacaxodzoradakri Zrxakorlwzkervoknizhn…”
  620. >Her jaw drops
  621. >I feel her slime tighten around me
  622. >I don’t think I want this to stop
  623. >She tilts her head down and presses it against my chest
  624. >”H-how…”
  625. >A couple moments pass
  626. >With her wriggling slime around my body, I’m all ready to go again
  627. “Hey, so maybe another round?”
  628. >She fixes her teary gaze onto me again
  629. >And smiles
  630. >”Yes, master!”
