MegaTale (Genocide) Part 3- Retired King

Rock was unsure of what to do. The Buster Shots just got closer and closer, very slowly. Which is odd, coming from someone who's trying to kill him. Perhaps Retro just wanted to mock him about the fact that there was no escape from what's to come.

Rock was unsure of what to do. Could this be the end?

...Nothing happened. Rock was confused when he noticed that the Buster Shots were gone. Retro was also in a state of confusion when he noticed a blast coming his way. In an instant, he was hit, being flung into the wall. A man stepped out from the shadows, taking off what appears to be an artificial buster. "What a TERRIBLE creature, torturing such an innocent little child." The man said. The man turns to Rock, who was still a bit confused. "Ah! Don't worry, I won't hurt you." The man insisted. He then tried to help Rock up, but Rock decided to stand up by himself. "I should introduce myself." The man continued. "I am Adrian, caretaker of these here ruins." Rhythm once again seems to be lost in his own little world. "Ah, yes, perhaps I should tell you more about this place." Adrian continued. "This is a place called World. Yes, I am aware that it's a strange name for a location. Come, allow me to be your guide around here. Please, come this way." Adrian then walked towards the entrance to some sort of ruins, with Rock and Rhythm following behind quietly.

The small group of two (three, counting the spirit known as Rhythm) enters a large room with two different staircases. Adrian continued moving forwards, but Rock stopped moving and caught a glimpse of the entire scenery. For some odd reason, deep inside Rock, there was a feeling he just can't describe. A warm, tingly sort-of feeling. It felt... powerful. "Aren't you coming?" Adrian asked. Rock looks back at Adrian as he follows him towards a big door.

Nearby were 6 buttons of some sorts. "You see, World is full of puzzles, which are ancient fusions between diversions and doorkeys. Adjust yourself to the sight of them, there's going to be plenty of these things around." Rock didn't really care that much. Adrian stepped on four of the buttons- the first and third row, to be precise- then proceeds to hit the switch next to the door, which opens it up. Adrian steps through the door and Rock follows behind.

Later, the group reaches a sort of hallway. There were a few switches, as well as some bridges. "To make progress here, you will need to trigger exactly two switches." Adrian stated. "Do not worry, I have labeled them for you." Rock walks down the path and notices a switch. Next to it is a label that states "flip this lever". Rock makes a sigh and flips the switch. Rock then continues down the path and notices two different switches. The one on the left is labeled "flip this lever, not the other." Rock once again decides to obey the instructions and flips the switch he was instructed to. "Very good." Adrian states happily. "We shall now proceed."

The next room consists of yet another open door, as well as a deactivated robot of sorts. "As a human living in the Prototype, robots may attack you." Adrian states. "You will need to be prepared for when such an event happens. However, don't worry, I'll tell you what you must do. It's simple, really. When you encounter a robot, you may end up in a FIGHT. When in a FIGHT, strike up a friendly conversation. Then, I will come along to resolve the conflict. Try practicing talking to the robot up there. Don't worry, it's a pretty old model. It is on shut down, and will mean you no harm." Rock then walks up to the disabled robot. Oddly enough, there seems to be a faint, blue glow around it. It also looks like a "Normal Navi" painted fully orange for some reason as well (not that Rock even knew what a Normal Navi was. I'd imagine in a Mega Man universe, the Mega Man games don't really exist. Then again, does the Pokemon game even exist in the Pokemon Universe? Whatever). After examining the robot, Rock decides to take a different approach than what Adrian asked him to. He looked at the ground and noticed there was a stick there. He decides to pick it up. "Wait." Rhythm says, confused. "What are you-" Rhythm's sentence was cut off short as Rock slashed at the robot with the stick, somehow creating a huge gap in it before it turned into dust. To Rock, it felt... Rather good. "What was that all about?" Adrian asked a bit of an upset tone. "I asked you to TALK to the robot, not smash it to dust! Please, learn to have mercy, young one." Adrian then continues through the door, as Rock follows behind. Rhythm wasn't sure what was happening, but he follows behind nevertheless.
