B -  "Oct 22, 2020 7:11:36 PM" "I'll send you a picture of the vin here after a bit. As far as maintenance, I've changed the oil a few times. I flushed the antifreeze a year or two ago. I've never adjusted the valves as they were supposedly adjusted just before I got it. The guy I got it from seemed as if he was telling the truth, and it runs fine so I assumed his story checked out.Again, I've only ran maybe 8-10 tanks of gas in it (ethanol free) for the time I've had it. Engine has never been cracked that I can see or tell. Not exactly sure to look for either?? Understood on the questions and concerns. I have no hesitation in someone coming to check it out and it not be what is described or expected to be. I would assume youre in the same position on the polaris if youre going to take the time and effort to come my way. "

K -  "Oct 26, 2020 11:06:01 AM" "Just going to preface this by saying I'm not upset or anything lol. The bike smoked pretty heavy on start up the next day after getting it home. Also do hear some kind of noise in the engine after getting the rattle from the loose exhaust shield fixed so it is going in for surgery before getting ridden most likely. New piston, rings, head gasket, valve seals and timing chain at a minimum. Definitely a bit disappointed but it really is alright. I was ready for this type of thing as much as I hoped it wouldn't need it. I didn't see a whif of smoke at your house but I might have been blinded by the stars in my eyes lol. One question if you know. The holes in the rear fender... Is there a logo missing or something? Curious if maybe that was something you still have by chance. No rush and thanks for any info in advance!"

It was all too fresh and too much of it in certain places to be the last guy. There was so much mud in the air box and on the inside of the air filter. Someone drilled holes in the airbox instead of taking off the drain... You likely destroyed the engine's computation chamber with dirt which is why it smoked. Needless to say it's getting a top end rebuild before going any further. I haven't even ridden it and basically bought it in non-running condition. I don't know your situation and if you actually need the money keep every penny for your family. If you don't need this money you should send me around a grand back. I still do want this thing but gave you a very well kept bike for one that was sunk in mud so something back seems fair. Bro if times are too tough don't even worry about it. We have never done anything more than take it up and down our yard or on our small farm a few miles up the road. The bike has never once smoked at start up nor during riding it. That to say, I have no knowledge of someone burying that in mud. I am not saying you are wrong (as we never really put it through any gruelling test), but I also find it hard to believe when it has never given us any glimpse of trouble. Besides the fact when the dealership changed the oil, I would imagine if there was anything questionable, they would want me to know as they are in business to fix things which helps them turn a profit. I will not be sending any money unfortunately. I will give you the opportunity to bring that bike back in the same condition it left, you can take the one you left here along with the $400. "

I'll send you some pictures to show you how bad the damage was. as I said in our earlier messages I wanted this bike really bad or I wouldn't have reached out to you in the first place all I was asking is for you to make the deal fair based off of the information that I'm giving you which is honest. If I wasn't expecting you to be honest, I wouldn't have reached out again in the first place. Here's the bottom line... if you don't need the money, you should send it to me because that bike wasn't worth what I paid for it. I'm going to keep it either way but evaluate that bike for what it actually was and you got me really bad."
