  1. The passage of time and powercreep has rendered a great deal of the info in these pastebins obsolete. Some notable ones:
  2.
  3. - The Nightmare Dungeon mechanics have been heavily casualized. Almost all the puzzle mechanics have been eliminated, and you are no longer penalized for using attacks of the wrong type (e.g. Kaiser Dragon no longer counters brutally when hit with a non-Black Magic attack).
  4. - Multiplayer is a ghost town now, especially in /ffg/.
  5. - The Crystal Tower and Jump Start dungeons have been phased out.
  6.
  7. I simply don't have the time to update this like I used to, but if you're here looking for advice, here's a brief shortlist of relevant things to know:
  8.
  9. - The Acolyte Archive missions help. They often require you to craft skills you'll end up using a lot (the Breakdown skills are useful all the way to most Apocalypse ++ raids in weekly events).
  10. - For new players, quantity of relics > quality. Until you reach the current endgame (around 5* or 6* magicite and the new Torments + Transcendent Ruins bosses), just about any elemental USB and the occasional chain plus the basic suite of buffs (Wall + Haste + healer + ATK/MAG/MND buffs) can beat bosses if you know the basic strategy. Relic breadth helps with options especially in the Torments, which later on will enforce stricter teambuilding restrictions than anything else in the game.
  11. - Learn the basic elemental playbook. Chain, imperil, quickcast, enElement ("elemental infusion" in-game), elemental resist accessories.
  12. - Craft Hastega, Dispel, Banishing Strike, Protectga, and Shellga if you haven't already.
  13. - Make progress on the Torments as you're able. You do want a few of the 6* skills as early as possible (Voltech especially is Meltdown's long-lost brother).
  14. - Save your Crystal Water from the Record Dungeons until you know what characters you rely on the most in 5* and 6* magicite. On that note, you don't need to have progressed too much to start doing Record Dungeons, but the experience does help with some of the optional challenge battles.
