  1. Interview Questions
  2.
  3. ~The Two Houses of Hashan and their relationship~
  4. In short, Somatikos are the vanguard whilst Krymenian are the scholars. Somatikos is concerned mainly with the Sunderlands, exploration, scouting, and crafting. Krymenian is one of innovation. Study of the new energy that burst forth below the city, and the unknown for the purpose of making it known, once it is known - it can be manipulated for our benefit.
  5.
  6. ~Ideals of Krymenia, and which appeals to me~
  7. Knowledge and Understanding: To know. The first step to gaining any measure of power is to learn. Once something is known, you have taken the first step towards harnessing it. The second step is to understand. Knowing something exists or works is not enough, one must comprehend /why/ and /how/ it does. Once that is learned, one can truly use the knowledge for the betterment of Hashan.
  8.
  9. Curiosity and Reverence: Self explanatory, the desire to know is what drives one to learn. Without it, for what purpose do you study? But it's important to exercise caution. Respect. Acknowledge the dangers. Don't do something simply because you can, make sure to ask whether you should. Failure to respect the unknown is exactly what caused the primes to fail when Ashtan transmuted their anchor.
  10.
  11. Progress and Balance: Similar to the previous. To be honest, I'm uncertain as to its inclusion, it looks like a subset of Curiosity and Reverence. Regardless, it speaks of the obligation to grow. In strength, knowledge, culture, influence, and all else. Of course, to maintain balance as well. Do not progress one facet at the gross cost of another. A good example would be strength in comparison to knowledge. For one may easily be tempted to a promise of great power - at a terrible, unknown cost.
  12.
  13. Immanence and Transcendance: What grounds us. It is great to delve deep into the most ancient of mysteries, but it should still be remembered - why? What purpose will it serve? Once this is learned, will it grant some manner of boon? There is no use in useless information. It is merely trivia. Focus one's efforts to that which will provide a real benefit. Of course, at some point the most ancient of mysteries /will/ need to be investigated. For purposes grander than their use as trivia. As all knowledge itself is inherently valuable - but not all of us can use it appropriately. Thus, it is imperative to gain that capability. Transcend beyond your previous limitations in order to harness new ones.
  14.
  15. Personally, I'm a fan of all of them but Progress and Balance. Curiosity and Understanding especially. The base desire to know is the foundation upon which everything else has been built upon. To forget that would be negligent.
  16.
  17. Concerning Progress and Balance, it's not that I disagree with it - far from it. It's simply that... it seems irrelevant. It is something that could be included within Curiosity and Understanding. It is an extra that doesn't need its own special place, in my opinion.
