Speedrunning:

Maybe. When I have time or feel like it. Song of the Deep is pretty cool, I would like a decent run at some point. Fluidity is cool. I wanna improve at some point. Dive is in limbo. That game is gonna be busted out only when I need it. I recently saw SBCG4AP is on SR.com so I'm intrigued. When I get around to it, I might fiddle with SPM on VC. Full runs, maybe not, but I can glitch hunt and get good image rips for splits and whatnot. FnF Super Cars. I'm still the fastest at that game and I have no competition. Fluidity Spin Cycle has always been a funny speedrun concept to me. If I ever get a capture card, I will run it. It will look amazingly funny though. Unless someone wants to make a program that takes the 3DS's gyroscope and finds the up position and then makes a streaming application that spins the screen capture to match.

Casual:

DDR. Lots of it. My hiatus due to foot pain made for a long overdue return, an what a return it has been. Busting out no bar PFCs left and right. Clearing 14s and 15s no bar with low Great counts. The new shoes have saved me from retirement and obscurity. I feel now, more than ever, that I have caught up to where many of my superiors are or have been while I was learning slowly. One of the DnB players has me as a Rival on their card, and even though he is nowhere near the same skill level, it feels nice to have people consider me a rival or chase after me now instead of me chasing after all the better players. I keep to myself, I've abandoned the community nearly completely, but some people can't help but notice what I'm accomplishing and the entirely different level I'm on now. 13 years later, I've somewhat made it.

As for other games, I have a massive backlog. I play what I can when I can. Splatoon is very fun. I prefer Turf War, but will squad with people when they ask. I hardly feel like asking for squad members myself since I don't usually feel strong in Ranked, despite getting to S+ on two separate occasions. Perhaps because I'm surrounded by people so much better than me, I feel as though asking others to squad with me is only seen as asking people to carry me. Regardless, I play when I wanna for the reasons I wanna and how I wanna, so I'm happy.

Job:

August is pretty slow for me. This summer has been near nonstop. I work for 4 different companies, 2 as a part time stagehand, 1 as an overhire stagehand, and 1 as a production contractor. This is a main reason I don't speedrun as often as I would like or play Splatoon as much as others. Right now though, it is quiet. I expect September to jump back up in events. A breather is nice, but I don't know how long I can stretch this break before I long for something productive to do. Speaking of which,

I decided that on my 30th birthday this year, I'm gonna start getting serious about my special secret project. I don't know if I can turn it into a creative career or if it will ever get some monetary incentive behind it. But, I have a dream, and I'm gonna start following it. Right now, I'm laying a lot of groundwork, getting ready for the push toward actually making something tangible. What I can say at this point is that it will be a story of sorts, so writing up characters and a plot and storyboarding through everything is the first step on my part. I don't expect it to be quick. I don't expect it to be easy. I don't expect to be done within 5 years or more. I do expect to see it through as much as I can.

Personal:

I like being alone. And I am. So don't take it personally if I don't engage others often.

Still broken. Landlord is having someone replace the whole unti Thursday or Friday. RIP until then.
