Simple Right Click technique (For 1.12, 1.12.1, 1.12.2 only)

Simple RightClick technique:

Repeating command block

/clear @p minecraft: <-- any item here

Chain command block

/replaceitem entity @e[type=armor_stand] slot.weapon.mainhand minecraft: <-- any item here that follows the first one

if you want another extra like effect, etc etc, then put another command block in front of it or on top of it.
