  1. Learnset Leaks! Top 10 Changes: No Focus Blast, Recovery Nerfs In Pokemon Let's Go Eevee & Pikachu!
  2.
  3. Hi all, following my previous video, all learnsets have leaked and this has some pretty crazy information that will definitely have a huge impact of battles in the game. Find the link in the description. The main change is that moves seem to be completely removed from the game! Not really the case that Pokemon learn more moves, but fewer! I'll go through some of my main observations now:
  4.
  5. 1. Alolan Sandslash
  6. This Pokemon now gets Ice Shard! This is really great - it's quite a slow Pokemon, but has a decent attack stat and access to SD. Now Ice Shard can be used to take out faster Pokemon that it would otherwise struggle with. The steel typing gives it plenty of set up opportunity so this is a much appreciated buff for A-Sandslash.
  7.
  8. 2. Recovery
  9. Only recovery moves in the game are recover, roost and softboiled. No wish means Vaporeon and Wigglytuff have no recovery at all. No Moonlight and Synthesis which affects Clefable, Vileplume, Venusaur and a number of other grass types. No Slack Off for Slowbro. This is massive and makes it look like any battles will be incredibly offensive, or many more pokemon will have to rely on rest, which is confirmed as a TM, though no Sleep Talk!
  10.
  11. 3. Focus Blast
  12. This was great coverage for Psychic types to hit steel & dark types, but no longer in the game. Now they will struggle to hit steel types and dark types (though they struggle to hit them with Focus Blast anyway!) Mega Alakazam was looking like an insane runaway threat, but now steel types are a much better defense against it (still gets dazzle)!
  13.
  14. 4. Hidden Power
  15. Another nerf for special attackers, Hidden Power, the universal coverage move no longer exists. this move could turn into almost any type which was a great way to increase coverage, but no longer exists so special attacker much more limited by their learnsets
  16.
  17. 5. Spikes, toxic SPikes, Sticky Web
  18. Entry hazards useful for chipping away your opponents team when they switch. Only Stealth Rock now, which is confirmed as a TM. But bulky teams will no longer benefit from this passive damage option.
  19.
  20. 6. Rapid Spin & Defog
  21. Currently no Pokemon learn Rapid Spin/Defog. These moves remove entry hazards from the field. Without Spikes & T-Spikes, this may not be as much of an issue, but there is now no way to get rid of SR. What's really interesting about this is that it impacts some of the strongest Pokemon the most: Mega Charizard, Mega Pinsir, Moltres for example.
  22.
  23. 7. DD
  24. M-Gyarados and MZard X were looking like some of the biggest threats in the game if they could set up 1 DD and sweep. But the move is not in their learnsets, nor Dragonites (which is a bit strange). These Pokemon will still be usable, but no way near as threatening as previously thought. still a chance that this move could be learned a different way?
  25.
  26. 8. Trick Room
  27. Not a TM in Let's Go and not in any mons learn set, this cool strategy looks like it has been completely removed from the game, inhibiting slower Pokemon considerably.
  28.
  29. 9. All weather
  30. Rain Dance, Sunny Day, Hail and Sandstorm all completely gone. Withouot abilities, this won't matter as much, but there is still utility in boosting the power of your attacks in the rain/sun, weakening other attacks, or getting chip damage with weather.
  31.
  32. 10. No Shadow Bone
  33. A-Marowak no longer has its signature move, meaning it gets access to no physical ghost type attacks which is pretty rubbish! still has the powerful flare Blitz and nice coverage with Bonemerang, but Shadow bone was very helpful for it. This combined with no Thick Club really hurts Marowak.
  34.
  35.
  36. A. Seed Bomb/Leaf Blade
  37. Now have to rely on Power Whip.
  38.
  39. B. Stone Edge
  40. Now only Rock Slide
  41.
  42. C. Giga Drain
  43. Mega Drain buffed.
  44.
  45. D. No Knock Off, but this makes sense
