Pokemon Kaizo IronMON FAQ (Emerald)

Q: What are you doing?
A: I am attempting to beat a randomized version of Pokemon Emerald using the Kaizo IronMON rules.

Q: What's different from Fire Red?
A: Lots of things, but the main one is that there are many more early-game pivot options. There are also some Emerald-specific rules. I am experimenting with my own rules in an attempt to make them less confusing: https://pastebin.com/z3Q8hVa9

Q: What is your goal?
A: To optimize the route and get some movement/menuing practice in preparation for my manipless All Gold Symbols run.

Q: What are the Kaizo IronMON rules?
A: A bunch of settings and restrictions that make the game much, much harder. Some of them include: Opposing trainers are a much higher level, you can only use one Pokemon and must beat the game without that Pokemon dying, you can't use healing items outside of battle, you can't buy any items except Poke Balls and Repels, and you can't use Pokemon with 580+ BST.
