  1. Dear @ColossalisCrazy #fun #times #ahead #philosophy
  2. I was in the middle of writing a part when I had this stupid, but entertaining thought. In my series, "Sogno Della Dinastia" there are three factions, Existence (everything that is comprised of Matter), Nothingness (Everything that has not yet been created), and Nonexistence (Everything that is comprised of Antimatter) as well as the thing that is the top dog of them all, the Entirety (Anything that is comprised of the three previously mentioned states of being.)
  3.
  4. In the part I'm currently working on, Stephen Colbert, recently discovering and sitting upon the throne of the Core of Existence, (There are multiple levels of existence, dimensions, realities, universes and so on, all very fun! Explored in 'Custodi Della Realta) becomes the New Core, as the previous one, S'flowyerphy was obliterated by the Meme Lord, as one is want to do. Getting back on track, when asked by John about his thoughts on the Entirety, he says this:
  5.
  6. "We are its mind, its storm of consciousness, its thundering of thoughts, actions and words. We are the sides of the Entirety that revolve around our own wants, needs, and desires, but we are also very much directed towards a singular purpose, a singular, uniting need that pushes us forward.
  7. "The need to survive, either in part, or whole. the need to gather information, the need to reproduce or create something out of nothing. It's in these needs that the Entirety shows us it's completeness, it's totality, it's every encompassing passion and fire.
  8. "John, if the Entirety has shown itself, has spoken with its own voice, has indeed become visible to us or even the deities that represent the three states of being, then something has either gone incredibly wrong, or incredibly right."
  9.
  10. In that moment of writing, I immediately thought of the similarities between the four sides, and equated them to religious symbolism, with God/other religions positive deity being represented as the Entirety, Heaven/paradise as the door of Existence (yeah, it's a pretty tripping read, but well worth it.), Hell/punishment being represented as Nonexistence, and the Devil/other religions negative deity represented as the Chasm of Nonexistence.
  11.
  12. He states that everything we are, everything we do, create or destroy, everything is because of the Entirety. But from this standpoint, it's more of a metaphysical thing than anything else. to better understand it, think of it in terms of the Baited podcast, there are three sides, (you, Keem, TommyC) and Youtube standing in as the Entirety. Good or bad, whatever is discussed has to go through youtube before its either created or destroyed, and it's a tempting and weird way to look at it, but it's in this line of thinking that really got my mind going.
  13.
  14. What is the point of our existence, not as a grim reminder of the finality of everything, but more as an existential exploration of our collective species ultimate goal.
  15. What is our endgame?
  16. Is it just to survive?
  17. To explore?
  18. To further our species for as long as possible?
  19. To reach out final state of being as if something had programmed or simply guided us? Why is it that some people live and other die from the glitches in the system?
  20. There are hundreds, if not thousands of introspective questions here that line up to the exact same answer, that maybe we are not to focus so much on either the question or the answer, but rather the journey of discovery resulting from the initial asking of said question, and the eventual discovery of said answer.
  21.
  22. It's a lot to chew on, for sure, and sometimes the intellectualism of it is losti n the process. But we can only wonder at the mystery of something so vague, so intangible as that ultimate question! It's right there, in front of us, staring at us, and yet the answer, as plain as the nose on our faces, continues to remain invisible.
  23.
  24. I realize there are so many answers from so many different people on this topic, and everyone has asked this question at least once, either in private or in public discussion. Some people may attempt to take the steam out of these words by cracking a joke or telling me off. But maybe it's not that they're dismissing it, either because they don't have the time or patience to understand, but rather it's just that we don't truly know.
  25.
  26. In closing, I used to ask myself and others this question, "Doesn't it bother you that we can see everything except our own faces without the use of a mirror?" It's something no one's really thought about, and maybe we don't want or need to see our own faces because we're scared of what we might find, or maybe the truth is too much for us to handle. that question ultimately becomes related to the ancient tale of Medusa. Only through looking at our faces indirectly do we not become as statues in discovering ourselves.
  27.
  28. The answer may surprise us all one day.
