   The job: vampire's nest

   Darkness, voices from mouths beneath red glowing eyes, "The Queen of Silence is still missing."

   "And whose fault is that?"

   "The Countess of the Northern Vampires of course, with her lackluster;"

   "No, its your fault! Missing? For a decade? If not for your clan she's still be locked in a box!"

   A fish strikes a table in the shadowed room shaking the very walls with the force.

   "A decade? In the millenia since the war she regressed to a teenager, a teenager mind you we are told and confirmed with our own eyes with no memories of her former self; and your clan commenced to torture her, insuring her hatred, a ripe soil for the Countess of the Cold Winds to swoop in like her namesake and coddle her! I would not history repeat its self Baron of the Bone Yards. Perhaps had you waited a century or two more she'd have been a baby in that coffin, perfect to raise as your own weapon; or perhaps you'd have found it easier to murder a baby than a clueless teenager, who I need remind you massacred your agents when they tried to actually kill her."

   "Watch your tounge Blood Brand,"

   "Why shhhould he Baron of Bonesss, it iss no sssecret what happened. Even if your misstake revealed just who in thisss alliancsse of the night you trussst and who you'd leave out."

   "The Serpent speaks the truth, I Queen of Dark Blood remember the war clearly, unlike you young Baron; and further perhaps had you simply left the Queen of Silene in her tomb she would not have regressed, and instead perished. Why even let her out?"

   "What's done is done"

  The room goes completly still as this latest voice is old, loud get quiet, and whose eyes glow so intensly they illuminate his own thin mustache and beard, "All of aristorcracy are represented here who matter; Baron of the Bone Yards, Blood Brand, The Serpent Prince, Queen of Dark Blood, Nazara of the Mana Fiends, Crimson Queen, and myself King of Beasts. The Seven Families thar rule over this continent. We need not concern ourselves with any who rule over desolate wastes, who sleep under mountains, or are masters of only their little farm cities and cozy little towns of livestock. We are the mighty aristocrats, we have courts, laws, and kingdoms we command. The Queen of Silence represents disorder, a...remnant of a different time when the sleepers ruled the lands in terror before retreating; before the tyrants were sealed away by those the towns people now regard as heroes of legend. We are sophisticated, and I did not request this meeting just for us to point blame at this relic walking around; no; I called you all here because my people may have spotted her. We will need cooperation, for it has become a delicate matter; if the individual my spies suspect is her we cannot simply move on her; as she is in an adventurer guild; to break that pact is to invite anarchy once more.

  "I sssensse you want sssomething ssspecific," hisses the Serpent.

   "Indeed I do my friends and allies, a test and a trap, disguised as an ordinary mission, and we will need an assassin we can disavow, a sacrife to be rid of the Queen of Silence in her still weakened state."

   "We tried to kill her as you recall King of Beasts," retorst the Baron of the Bone Yards, "nothing worked."

  "She was sealed," says the Queen of Dark Blood, "I suspect then oh King of Beasts this sacrifice would be significant enough to warrant an approval of this council then."

  Uneasy shifting of seats is heard, the implications are plain. Someone would need to send a vampire or powerful mage to break the pact, be disavowed by the aristocracy as a result to avoid political conflicts to arise with the other factions with ties to the adventurer's guilds,  who even if they failed or this suspected sorceress turned out to simply resemble the Queen of Silence would end up being targeted by the adventurer guild if discovered; yet can't be a simple assassin; if the King of Beasts is right; then any attacker will need to have the magic power to not only subdue and capture the Queen of Silence even in a reduced form; but also reseal her. Not to mention such an individual will need to not know they will end up a target by the adventurers guild or at least not care.

  "This is our mess," says the Baron of the Bone Yards, "So be it, we will take responsibility. We had someone already prepared before the Countess of Cold moved in and claimed the Crystal Palace to reseal the brat. Someone unknown on this continent, unknown to most in fact. So yes, you have my vote to proceed. Any objections?"

   There are none.

 -not long after in limo flying through the air with shaded windows. The dark red haired and dressed in an dress of black and red Crimson Queen sits silently, nearby the silvery grey of skin and white of hair Queen of Dark Blood studies her with her silver eyes, and escaping her silver lips she says, "Something not sitting right with you sister?"

  The Crimson Queen turns from the window, "That pompous fool calling himself the King of Beasts clearly regarded himself as a king in there, and did he really think to unite our intents with his bigotry? Is it not sensible for some vampires to retire from this world from time to time and keep their food contained and controlled."

   Crimson Queen smiles and laughs slightly, "Don't get me wrong sister I enjoy a good hunt as well against prey that can actually put up a fight; and have had my own," she lifts a wine glass from the bar in the limo, albeit not filled with wine but another red yet still fermented liquid, "cities I am alligned with for a steady supply; however this continent has taken free range to a ridicilous extreme. Perhaps we should think to stop somewhere short of allowing humans to use advanced weaponry and sorcery in fantasy game styled guilds."

    "I see," says the Queen of Dark Blood shifting her legs beneath her blue and silver ornate dress, "you rarely do visit the continent sister, the Beast clan has the strongest allianes here through much of the region with the therionthrope clans backing them and deals with the guild masters. Our businesses here are small by comparison, and they use this control over powerful humans as a way to boast their status among the lower members of their clans, comparing this to the mega cities back home that keep humans in strict castes."

   The Crimson Queen smirks, "You sound as if you have some scheme brewing about that skull of yours."
