Keith: "Who's there?" Keith calls "The EMTs?"
Lily: "A shitty call, why are you even carrying this weapon? He's one of us... I just saw dom's body, and now I have to see you do... this..."
Kalos: "What the fuck hapepned here?"
Keith: "I must admit... I don't know why you are carrying lethal weapons, Miri."
Kalos: "Oh my god."
Keith: "I can run you through, the short story..."
Miri: Miri turns to the EMT. "We had an officer...compromised. I take full responsibility..."
Kalos: "you shot your team mate?"
Keith: "Cyril here, who's laying on the ground, plugged something in their brain. And went bananas."
Kalos: "Well, uh- just.."
Keith: "Like, real crazy agressive."
Kalos: he puts down his bag and pulls out a pair of long, collapsable bars
Kalos: which he extends into a stretcher
Keith: _Keith proceeds to help in whatever way he can_
Miri: *"Patch him up.* Please," Miri says. Again, she doesn't need to breathe, but emotionally she feels like she's just come through a war.

Miri: Miri picks herself up and helps them load Cyril onto the stretcher.

Lotus: _comes to and stares blankly at the ceiling, "Y'know that was a fantastic first job."_

Kalos: "Uh. I guess?" he helps Miri put cyril on it.
Keith: (Emergency response procedures)
Keith: (Who takes care of the head, dictates what the others do)
Lily: _goes to Lotus to try to help her up... it's not very effective because of the size difference, "Lotus, I'm sorry, but I had to take the shot,_
Kalos: After about 20 seconds, he's on the stretcher, and him along with Lotus and Miri can carry Cyril out of the building.
Miri: "There's gonna be *hell to pay,*" Miri mutters to herself, though it's not clear who she's referring to.
Kalos: You eventually get him to the ambulance, down the stairs and such
Lotus: "Yeah yeah...Fucking right in the face too." She gets up and looks at Cyril, "Jesus."
Kalos: Right beside where he slides Cyril, there's a bundled in white cloth form
Cyril: (I hope Cyril's sorry state makes Lotus feel a bit better about her own injuries lol)
Miri: "...DOM..."
Kalos: Covered now
Miri: Miri shudders at the sight.
Keith: "Is this... The one in the alley? DOM?"
Kalos: "...Yea, it's him."
Keith: _Keith sighs_
Keith: "Today has been a real shitty day... Specially for those two."
Kalos: he closes the back doors.
Keith: _Keith pats Kevin's back_
Kalos: "I'm taking them to the hospital, I'll see what I can do."
Kalos: "THere's not really room in the front- you guys have a ride don't you?"
Keith: "Yeah, we got a car."
Keith: "Thanks a bunch for the help, let's hope you can do something for them... Er... Cyril..."
Kalos: You guys get in your car and go ride to the hospital? Or..
Keith: (Goddamnit, I remember)
Lily: fuck yes we go to the hospital with cyril

Keith: (The cameras... I can deal with this while we head there?)

Keith: (I suppose I will have to ask the guy to provide me with access again, but let's suppose that this is easy, right?)
Keith: _Keith tries to see if he can do the camera thing- Re-asking for access if his access had expired_

Kalos: Keith you're denied video access
Kalos: about the time you got the 'no we won't give you access to our video tapes' the car comes for a landing at the nearest hospital
Kalos: Vox is carried off as some people in scrubs come over with a grav-based stretcher
Kalos: and carry off vox inside. "You guys can sit and wait- don't really need you in the operating room." one of them says on the way
Kalos: showing you guys to a waiting room
Miri: Miri takes a seat, biting her lip in frustration and worry.
Keith: "I was granted access before, but an emergency happened and I couldn't use the access that was granted to me. Why can't you grant me access again" Keith asks, via the call
Keith: _Keith takes a seat as well_
Lotus: _remains silent_
Keith: "Well guys."
Miri: Miri snaps to attention.
Keith: "I had access to the cameras on the other building- But then Cyril went crazy"
Keith: "Didn't had time to use it."
Keith: "Now they won't give it back. They want to wait and see if we will get fired."
Miri: "He didn't go crazy. He was subverted by...a hostile force." Miri folds her hands and examines them closely.
Keith: "Semantics."
Lily: "If we don't think up something now, some of us are getting fired. Maybe all of us. I can't let that happen, we need to catch the guy who did... that... to Dom."
Miri: "We...we did what we could to prevent further harm." She puts her face in her hands. "I panicked," she says, almost in a whisper.
Kalos: Central computer chips in- "Officers of group 3CS- [You lot] You're under investigation upon 3 reports from different sources,"
Miri: "...listen. If...if it goes bad...it's all on me. You understand?"
Lotus: "Technically no, it's on all of us, even though I just got here I might lose my job too."
Keith: Keith answers back to central: "I understand, I am ready to comply with the investigation."
Miri: "It's...my job to protect my squad. I don't care what you have to say about me. Just...don't let them pin the rap for this on you."
Lily: "I don't know what you guys were thinking... Punching, really?"
Lily: "We have stun weapons for a reason."
Kalos: "You are now off the case of Rylekev Indari."- the computer adds as an append to the message, in its usual robotic speaking manner
Kalos: (the case of the two mercs from before)
Keith: (Yes)
Lotus: "Yeah, well he ate up a stun pulse."
Miri: "You saw as well as I did. The sonic weapons weren't working. I had to...do what I did."
Miri: "...it was that or...that *thing* in his head could have gone on a rampage."
Miri: "A lot of people could have gotten hurt, and there would've been people who really *would* have been shooting to kill."
Keith: "Miri, why do you even carry lethal arms?"
Lily: "it's rare, but sometimes that shit doesn't work, you have to try again, or hell, you could have freed me, I could have stunned him myself"
Miri: Miri gives Keith a look and calmly states: "No one asked me to give it back."
Keith: "Also, speaking of people getting hurt. You realize that your weapon has likely overpenetrated the walls, right?"
Lily: "It's not that strange, Dom's gun..."
Kalos: (since the background events will take a while- when you're done conversing I can do a timeskip. for for now feel free to make plans)
Cyril: _**LOUD SCREAMS FROM OPERATING ROOM**_
Keith: (*Several people are typing*)
Miri: "...that was an oversight on my part." Miri says, emotionlessly. It's clear from the look in her eyes that she knows she's screwed up.
Keith: "When asked, I will tell the truth. And the god's honest truth is that... *The situation we were in was really fucking scary*"
Miri: Miri laughs mirthlessly. "We're agreed on that. Still...it doesn't excuse me panicking like that. If I'd been thinking clearly, I'd never have brought out the gun..."
Miri: "I really was trying to save him. I...I hope that at least is clear."
Lily: "point is, we don't use those unless there's a good reason. Why would you turn a weapon like that on your own team, even if... something was going on with their mind? You shot more than once at him, and you shot after I tried to stop you. I don't see how you could consider doing that as saving him."
Keith: _Keith rest his head against his hands_
Keith: "God... This will be another job on the list..."
Lotus: "We just need to find the creator of DOM and find those files." Lotus stands up and begins to pace aeound the room.
Miri: *"What would you have done?"* Miri finally snaps. "I'd tried everything *short* of that and it wasn't working. *Yes* I hurt him badly but it was the only thing I could do to *stop* him long enough to *get that thing off of his head.* And like I said before, if that *thing* had taken him for a joyride, there'd have been people after him who would eagerly have *shot him in the head* to stop him!"
Lotus: "So we can get out jobs back on the line and find out whatever...took CONTROL of Cyril."
Keith: "Wait. What. Where did this conclusion came from?"
Miri: Miri gives Lotus a suspicious look as well. "What the hell. Where'd all that come from?"
Lotus: "Wouldn't you send your shit to your parents too?"
Lotus: "And besides, something was in there."
Keith: _Keith thinks of his parents_
Keith: "I don't think I would involve them with my stuff... Anymore..."
Lily: "I would have tried stunning again, or hey if sonics aren't working, maybe electricity would. Was he really that threatening? what did he do? trap two of us, give one of us a small cut? Was he really that threatening that you had to resort to bullets? I mean come on, Cyril is not as suited to combat as the rest of us, and you know it."
Miri: "It just...brought back bad memories."
Miri: "It's not...it wasn't the first time I had a squadmate get turned."
Lily: "I don't even know what to say anymore. I think you get my point, if you have a problem like this you should not be carrying a lethal weapon. we don't DO this to our own, under any circumstances."
Keith: "Now. We shouldn't do this to anyone, if we can help it."
Keith: "But then, sometimes, you can't help it."
Keith: "Now don't ask me to judge one way or another. That's not my job."
Miri: Miri sighs. "The last time, people died. I *almost* died. You think I signed up to become a cyborg because it was the fashionable thing to do?" She laughs mirthlessly again.
Miri: "You're right, though. If I get through this...I need to make sure something like this doesn't happen again."
Lotus: "I find out DOM's creator, goes by the name of Lurauel...And lives on this station. I want answers."
Lotus: _was just doing some research on their implant._
Miri: "Hang on. Can we even investigate this? Y'know...while we're *under* investigation?"
Keith: "Well, ask the questions?"
Lotus: "I don't have their address or phone, just a name and a photo."
Lily: "fuck me, well let's break this down, what are we under investigation for exactly?"
Kalos: You message central and ask?
Lily: _messages central to ask more respectfully_
Keith: (Ask the CHARGES, probably)
Kalos: (how do you word your question?)
Lily: "Can we get further information upon the investigation of our group of officers?"
Kalos: "You are under investigation for shooting your fellow officer, and gross missuse of force involving the discharge of lethal firearms causing collatoral damage, or for not stopping other members of your team from doing so."
Kalos: its almost a pre-written response, half in legal-ese
Miri: (can Miri read/hear the message?)
Kalos: if Lily allows it
Lily: (she probably wouldn't even think to cue others in)
Lily: (if asked she'd repeat tho)
Lily: (so essentially miri would know)
Keith: _Keith messages central: "I would like to know the charges pressed against us, if possible, thank you."_
Kalos: an *exact* reptition of the message reaches keith
Keith: _Keith passes this information to the others_
Lily: _speaks to the group, not coms, "well, good news is, I can at least prove the last charge false"_
Miri: Miri messages Central with a slightly different question: "Which members of the unit are currently being considered responsible?"
Keith: (For what?)
Kalos: "You are all currently under investigation as more details are forthcoming."
Kalos: (which is kind of them saying they don't know who did it quite yet it seems)
Miri: Miri takes a deep breath, and volunteers: "It was my call. I pulled the trigger."
Keith: "MAybe..."
Kalos: "Your input is being taken into consideration. thank you."
Keith: "You should wait to be questioned."
Lily: "As for the first charge, we can prove there was decent reason, there was call for it"
Miri: Miri hunches over in her seat, twiddling her thumbs. It's a habit she was forced to break when she was six. Now it's come back in force.
Kalos: [time skip a bit?]
Keith: (I suppose so)
Lily: "so good news is, I think most of us will be ok, and considering we'd just seen what happened to dom, we might even be able to save you miri."
Cyril: (Am I back to the normal number of holes?)
Kalos: After about two hours, two things happen at seemingly about the same time.
Lily: (why not get an extra hole or two? ;o )
Kalos: One: the ER doctors come out and announce you can talk to your friend: cyril is awake.
Cyril: (I'll save that for another operation)
Kalos: and secondly
Keith: (It'll be worth it, Keith would approve)
Lily: ( Lily... grudgingly approves as well )
Lily: ( "I've seen some interesting things, but multiple choice is nice..." )
Keith: ("Don't you say~")
Kalos: just as you are all going into their hospital room, to see them all plugged up with various equipment and such,  a group of 4 officers come in, of higher rank/pay grades than you. a Austferian, 2 avali, and a vaguely goat-like alien.
Miri: Miri takes a deep breath. This, she's already decided, must be her own personal firing squad.
Kalos: "First of all before the investigation continues: Miri please hand over the rifle."
Kalos: the asutferian says
Miri: Miri salutes, and with perfect military decorum, hands over the rifle.
Keith: "Ah. It's still..."
Kalos: He takes the rifle, and walks into the corner of the room where there are some seats, and plugs in, going into the usual empty gaze of someone using their implant
Keith: "Cyril..."
Keith: _Keith approaches Cyril_
Kalos: One of the avali steps over to have a look at the wounded
Cyril: _stares around the room, managing to hide himself under the hospital bed blankets. "Guys? What the fuck happened?"_
Keith: "You alright, buddy?"
Miri: Miri gives Cyril an apologetic look, but she doesn't dare approach until the investigators are done with her.
Kalos: "Any statements before we start asking questions?" the goat asks
Keith: "You... Don't remember? Plugging into... One of the drives?"
Lily: "Just one. Sometimes bad things happen. Things that are outside of our control, things that leave an officer on the field to make the best decision they can. Any officer can tell you this. "
Keith: "The events that happened were unexpected... And Horrifying, in many ways."
Keith: "And some, not in the usual way."
Lotus: "Well, Officer DOM is now dead, if you have not heard about it already."
Miri: Miri salutes again. "Sir. Yes, sir. I wish to state that Officer Cyril was subverted by a hostile software agent. The software attempted aggressive actions against us using Officer Cyril's body and we were forced to attempt to neutralize Officer Cyril in order to remove the hostile software agent. The carbine was a method of last resort. I determined that if swift action was not taken, the consequences would have been severe. I take full responsibility for the decision to shoot Officer Cyril. I had no lethal intentions towards him."
Lily: _will go to bat for Miri even when completely disagreeing with her, simply because Miri is "one of them"_
Cyril: _looks down, telescopic lenses in his eyes moving as he... Zooms in on the floor real close, to avoid looking at anyone. "I remember a drive. That's... That's it, though." He looks back up at Keith when he says "horrifying", blank and teary-eyed. "What happened? Oh. Oh, shit."_
Kalos: "We were wondering where Dom was. he didn't die in this incidient, did he?"
Keith: "No."
Keith: "We were..."
Keith: "Trying to find out what happened to him."
Keith: "The drive that... Cyril plugged in belonged to him."
Lily: "We found him dead, in the alley outside of his apartment... He was... skinned.. and his head was ireeparably damaged"
Lily: (lol spelling irepairably or however )
Miri: "Officer DOM was found deceased before the incident occurred."
Lotus: "And Cyril had plugged in one of DOM's Therpay drives and now we're here."
Kalos: "Skinned- isn't officer Dominic a Robot?"
Keith: "Well..."
Miri: "His outer casing was completely removed."
Lotus: "Yes, but his...inner workings were exposed."
Keith: "Whatever they did to him. They did it."
Kalos: "Who is 'they'?"
Lily: "The perp"
Keith: "That is a good question."
Kalos: "Unknown, then."
Cyril: _sinks down while everyone else talks, making himself surprisingly small for a big six-limbed alien._
Keith: "We don't know yet. But we have footage... Well... Kinda."
Keith: "It is proof that there was someone there. But the camera only picked up the door moving."
Kalos: "We're not here to investigate that-, sadly." He says after a moment.
Kalos: nd turns to Miri
Keith: "Ah."
Keith: "Sorry."
Kalos: "Did you in fact discharge your rifle at 16:52 for roughly 3 seconds, releasing 32 bullets towards the northwest corner of the room?"
Keith: _Keith swallow visibly... This question is terribly tense, even if he is not the target_
Miri: Miri salutes again. "Sir, yes, sir."
Kalos: "And you states the reason for this, was hostile software was talking over Cyril's body?"
Kalos: "How long have they been 'subverted'?" he glances at the taur on the hospital bed
Keith: "Long enough to tangle me and Lily..."
Cyril: _slowly turns his head to glare at Miri, at least his expression's finally changed. "You shot that thing at me?"_
Keith: "And long enough for Lotus to get uncousncious"
Miri: "Sir, yes, sir. Sonic weaponry proved ineffective."
Miri: "They were subverted while the drive was plugged in. I believe the doctors will confirm there is no longer any sign of hostile software activity."
Kalos: He looks at Cyril again upon that statement.
Lotus: "Might I add the hardrive that was hooked up to Cyril was DESTROYED later after?"
Keith: "Wait, was it the only drive there?"
Kalos: "You were all connected via tacnet software at the time?"
Miri: Miri blinks. "We were," she says, a hint of uncertainty in her voice.
Keith: "I believe we were?"
Kalos: "Alright. one of you give officer Tules a transfer-" The Avali he pointed at holds out a jack cable.
Miri: Miri salutes again and steps forward.
Keith: _Keith offers himself_
Miri: Her jacks obviously aren't in her head; they're still easy to access, however, being right below her neck connector, between her shoulders.
Kalos: Most people's are about there anyway
Kalos: they connect, and ask for that file
Kalos: "Will you be willing to share the memories of the last day?" the Blue-green feathers Avali, Tules asks.
Kalos: its not considered suspicious to refuse
Miri: "Sir, I have no objections, sir."
Kalos: they take that files after a few seconds of transfer
Kalos: "We'll be reviewing this." Tules sits and gets into that glare again, next to the Austferian
Miri: Miri salutes yet again. "Sir, will you require any more information from me, sir?"
Kalos: They goat looks at Keith and Lily
Kalos: "What were you two doing at the time?"
Keith: "Tangled."
Kalos: "Tangled?"
Lily: "Cyril surprise attacked us with his net weapon"
Keith: "Not a net."
Kalos: They look at Miri again
Kalos: "Where's the net gun?"
Keith: "It was... Tangle something..."
Cyril: _looks down and grabs his ears, shit. "Sorry."_
Lily: "I... think it's left in Dom's apartment"
Keith: "Oh no, we were so worried, I don't know if any of us got it..."
Lily: "I mean, look at our suits"
Keith: "Yeah... There are still bits of it, right?"
Kalos: "I'm not saying I don't believe you."
Kalos: "I need the forensice data from its electronics."
Keith: "Ah, right."
Miri: "Sir, my...last visual confirmation was...at the scene of the incident."
Keith: "Yes, it's Dom's apartment..."
Keith: "I can give you the coordinates, if you so desire."
Kalos: the last avali leaves for the car.
Kalos: "Please do." the goat says
Keith: _Keith transmits the coordinates of Dom's apartment to the goat_
Keith: "There you go."
Kalos: "And you- What do you remember from the incident, if anything?" he steps to cyril
Cyril: _turns to stare wide-eyed at the other officer, "I plugged into the hard drive, then I woke up here." He goes quiet for a second, then speaks again, ragged breathing and weirdlungs combining to give him a voice that sounds like multiple discordant speakers. "There's... Some kind of monster. I don't know where I saw it."_
Kalos: "Would you share implant data?"
Kalos: He raises a brow after a moment, as if in disbelief
Cyril: _nods once, then frowns. "Yeah. Be careful, it doesn't look good."_
Keith: "Just don't plug anything into your head."
Keith: "You probably will be fine."
Kalos: "You're saying this 'software' is still here?"
Keith: "If you do, hope to God that your teamates can knock you out with sunic stun."
Keith: "Well..."
Keith: "The Drive Cyril was using was..."
Keith: "Heavily damaged by Miri."
Keith: "But there are other drives out there"
Kalos: his two teammates suddenly become aware/stop using their implants
Kalos: the austerian neatly putting down the gun
Cyril: _opens an implant-connection, before shutting it down and visibly jumping. "Shit! I saved some kind of file from that thing!" His voice only gets "worse", as he looks around the room in a panic_
Keith: _Keith steps back, reeling._
Miri: (BRB)
Kalos: He stares intently
Kalos: "Don't delete it'
Cyril: _freezes in place, staring back up at the officer. "Why? Why? What do I do, it's going to fuck me up again..."_
Kalos: some of the doctors show up from around the corner, a lot of the monitoring equipment sending off alert
Cyril: _**S C R E A M S**_
Keith: _Keith is really, really disturbed right now_
Lily: _takes deep breaths_
Kalos: he takes a step back
Keith: "Cyril... You are hooked to a bunch of machines right now... Please don't freak out..."

Cyril: _glares at the doctor instead! "We're **done**? What's this computer thing gonna do to me?"_
Kalos: "Officers Keith, Lily, Lotus,- you can return to work tomorrow."
Kalos: "Cyril at the very least you're on medical leave."
Keith: "What about... Miri?"
Kalos: he looks at miri. "you're fired."
Keith: _Keith is shocked_
Miri: Miri nods solemnly. "Sir. I understand, sir."

Kalos: "Cyril will be reevaluated, as well,"
Lily: "Is there nothing we can do? These circumstances were extreme and abnormal"
Kalos: "One for his mental health, and two for his recent streak of performance."
Kalos: "THere's not much you can do- officer Miri shouldn't hve had her firearm, and at the least should not have been so wreckless as to shoot it fully automatic in a residential sector.""
Kalos: "Someone got hit."
Keith: _Keith swallows loudly_
Miri: Miri closes her eyes and takes a deep breath.
Kalos: "Turn in your badge and equipment before the end of the day tomorrow. You're lucky this station has officer protection laws like it does."
Kalos: they turn to leave.
Kalos: they take the rifle.
Miri: Miri nods. It's as it should be. It's all as it should be...
Miri: (anyways, srs gonna be AFK for 15 mins)
