Agni vs Celine

[20:18] Agni visibly shuddered at the sight of angry orange eyes. She felt scared. She felt so scared her body went stiff as she'd freeze in place out of fear. -She got too close. She couldn't hide behind Irrin for comfort anymore!!

"Yeah well.", the girl's body visibly shakes as she'd lift her sword and ready her stance filled with fear, "-Wait I'm not a little girl!"

There was a pause as flames left the teen's body, "But you're right about me being bad at talking to people. I'm good at blowing them up though... So you better stop it!!"

There was another notable pause, "Those are some cute stockings you have on though. It really makes your legs look nice despite well.. you know. I don't want to be so crude in front of Irrin."

[20:20] Irrin scowls at Agni's inability to defuse a situation, so she takes the staff from her back and uses it to separate them from each other. Like those little dividers that, in another world, would separate your groceries from another's. That was about the effectiveness of it after all, save this staff did carry an uncanny energy.

"Agni, please be quiet." Irrin urges, and looks to Celine.

[20:37] Celine could have let it go, but then Agni mentioned her stockings, and she snapped.

The murder of crows that flapped and cawed around the group abruptly began to multiply until the entire area was nothing but inky darkness. All that's visible now is the three of them, and a few lupins. The dark haired girl continued to glare towards the gender bent Agni, eyes still gleaming with anger.

She didn't need to be close to him to mess with him, so Irrin's attempts at intervening go entirely unnoticed even though she now successfully stood between the two of them.

Abruptly, from the darkness around them, an inky black ball forms. It looks harmless as it was just a slightly more opaque shade of black, and completely smooth. Celine leans backwards ever so slightly as she views Agni, a thin cruel smile curling one side of her mouth upwards.

The inky sphere that hung above the air began to slowly morph as a few dozen tendrils began to gingerly start to feel their way outwards. The special little ball of inky blackness didn't seem to have any eyes to speak of. The sight of it feeling around itself was an odd one.

Probably wasn't very intimidating either.

But Celine just stands there as she watches Agni with that little smile ever present. Like she was waiting for something. "You should run, before it finds you." Was all she would say towards Agni.

[20:45] Agni visibly shook and cowered even with his Nyeshk sword in hand and flames lit ablaze. She felt her heart racing, and sweat beginning to poor down her body. Especially as the world around them turned into complete and utter darkness. The small girl was clearly more than a bit rattled.

That evil smile only seemed to rattle the girl more as her legs began to get shakey. In essence, she was happy to have Irrin stand between them. She felt far safer like this. Sienna hues weary of the black sphere even if it looked smooth.

"Like I'd leave Irrin alone with that thing!!", the girl shouted gritting her teeth before swinging and firing explosions at it, "Besides, I'm not scared of anything." The teen barraged the monster with explosive blasts.

[20:48] Irrin knew little of what illusion magic was capable of, but whatever was going on didn't sit well with her. Whatever this inky, black ooze was...it didn't resonate well with the girl. She wanted to be mad and frustrated with Agni, but in truth, the only thing she felt was.

Disappointment.

Had nothing that had transpired this this point gotten to him? While she hand no qualms for how her friend behaved, he certainly seemed to get into a lot of trouble for it. And he felt poorly, and acted like wanted to make it better. But so far, he's shown so little progress.

She only moves away as he goes after the creature. She had full confidence in his abilities, but there was that lingering feeling. That sadness that rested behind her eyes as she watched him go.

"Why don't you know better?" She wonders aloud.

With a look at Celine, she thinks of every apology she could say to smooth this out. Even in her hand rests the object of their searching here: the foot of one of the many deceased lupin. She had meant to give it to her, but now...

She just wanted to go. Not a thing she would say would make any difference. That was just the way it was. Without the power the people around her seemed to wield, she was nothing.

So she makes way to leave, assuming no one stops her.

[20:50] Irrin goes, without a sound. Her form appears as many images of herself compressed together, before they all suddenly release: and she disappears.

[21:18] How much of what Agni was seeing was real?

Celine continued to just stand there, all sadistic smiles and remorseless fury as Agni's explosions rock the inky dark world that she had created. Along with her pet murder ball.

The explosions do exactly nothing to the darkness. Behind that darkness though, there was a LOT of tree's being burned to nothing. Within the black world that she had set atop the forest around them, there was no reaction at all to the explosions.

Not even her pet murder ball seemed to be affected by them, though it's activity does abruptly explode in furious motion in response to those explosions. "You're only making her mad." Celine would say, that sadistic smile now showing a genuine amusement at Agni's attempts to blow up her murder ball.

The many dozens of thin tendrils snake outwards rapidly now, and before she finds Agni, she finds a lupin first. As soon as that seeking tendril makes contact with the lupin, the rest of the writing mass of snuffling noodles snap into action, whipping through the air like lightning. Up and down those tentacles, glistening hooked barbs emerge and as those dark appendages lash around the unfortunate white bunny, those thorns rip and tear at the fuzzy beasts flesh.

In a solitary second the lupin has been completely enclosed by those dark limbs, entirely hidden from view. The tentacles pulse and flex, doing what could only be imagined to the beast trapped within without a single sound able to escape from the entrapped beast.

"Are you sure you aren't scared of anything?" Celine would ask, her angry glare turning to watch her murder ball. The horror show wasn't even over yet.

Suspended on yet more of the shadowy tentacles, the main body of the monster shivers slightly before the broken body of the lupin, still totally enclosed in the dark appendages, starts to be dragged towards the main ball.

As the meal approaches her, the central body, wreathed in tentacles that never cease to snuff around it to find whatever it was trying to blow it up, the spherical, nebulous body in the middle of that mass appears to.. unfold.. and an impossibly large maw opens wide, crotesquely curved fangs emerging from seemingly nowhere.

When the trapped monster is dragged close enough to that mouth the entwined tentacles lift and deposit it directly inside. The remains of that lupin disappear in an instant, the only sign that it existed at all is the gnashing and crunching sounds emergying from that special little murder ball in the center of Celine's dark world.

Celine looks back towards Agni then, her sadistic smile slowly- every so slowly- becoming just a little bit wider.

[21:33] Agni frowned as he saw his ranged attacks had no effect on the inky murder ball. "That's because I was always better at close quartered than ranged combat anyways!", the girl said before using her palms to blast herself back. When she thought it was a good enough distance away she'd change into her leggings. The vents mobility would do her well here.

When the swordsman watched a lupin get consumed, she'd freeze in fear pausing pulling up her leggings for a moment before snapping herself out of it. A frown ever present on her visage as sienna hues glowed intently.

"I'm strong and brave. Why would I be afraid of anything.", Agni declared before channeling her mana down to her legs before letting it release in her feet. The vents blasting explosions and flames to boost her mobility as she leapt at the monster, "I'm going to take it down in one blow!!"

As the teen leapt at the beast it kind of hit her.. The way she channeled mana into her mythril sword couldn't she do that for her sword too since it was a good conductor? Right.. Heat up the sword and make it burn hot. Make it hot and sharp enough to cut through any and everything in a single cut.

A bad ass wouldn't run. A bad ass fights the monsters and say something cool while doing it. "Big Bang Slash!!" With a flaming blade burning hot to the point it changed colors the teen would attempt to make contact with the beast, and if successful it'd ignite an explosion with all the strength the girl had.

[22:07] Celine's sadistic smile flattens.

Did this stupid girl really not understand anything about illusions?

She shook her head slowly as they began yet another round of pointless attacking. Though this time they seemed intent on engaging her special murder ball in melee.

"She isn't going to be happy with you." She would say towards Agni coldly. You can't kill nightmares that are only in your head. Celine was all too familiar with that idea, but it seemed that Agni wasn't. This wasn't something that he can just hit and expect to defeat.

It wasn't even real in the first place.

The inky black void that the forest had been replaced with shook with the force of the explosion. It had been strong. Definitely stronger than anything Celine herself could have accomplished, but none of that mattered. In reality, all Agni was doing was blasting trees to nothing.

While Celine stood safely off to the side and manipulated and twisted the world around her, and gave life and solidity to her illusions through her manipulation of gravity.

The inky murder ball reacted towards Agni's attack typically. Dark appendages lashed outwards, and one caught around the girls leg. A compressive force could then be felt around her leg. A swarm of black tendrils whipped outwards towards her and began to enclose and very soon Agni would find herself completely shrouded in black tendrils that seemed to compress downwards like a multi-dozen fingered hand.

The force of magic was like a heavy weight then, and a voice came out from the inky world that Agni could perhaps recognize as the 'murder ball' began to increase the pressure on them.

"If you apologize now, I'll tell Crinis to not eat you." Celine would say towards the explosive girl.
