  1. This is just a primer for using pk3DS to randomize Pokemon. You have to randomize things one at a time, rather than all at once, so this walks you through some common options. Note there is no editor for Field Items.
  2. - The "Wild Encounters" button is pretty self-explanatory, but the UI is very confusing. The randomization options may not be immediately visible (for ORAS, they are under the "Horde" tab, for example), so click around until you find them. The "Randomize by BST" option is the same as the "similar strength" option in the Universal Randomizer. Once your settings look good, just click "Randomize All"
  3. - The "Personal Stats" button is probably one of the more important ones. Under "Enhancements", you can randomize stats, held items, abilities, types, and TM/HM compatibility. Additionally, you'll almost certainly want to apply the "Full HM Compatibility" and "Modify Catch Rate" modifiers below the randomization options; make sure you do this *after* randomizing so the randomization doesn't overwrite these. Note that the "Modify Catch Rate" option just universally sets the catch rate of every single Pokemon to whatever value you supply.
  4. - The "Level Up Moves" button is pretty easy to understand. "Metronome Mode" makes it so everything only learns Metronome if for some reason you want that.
  5. - If you want to randomize evolutions, click the "Evolutions" button. The "Randomizer Options" at the bottom control the randomization settings, and the "Remove Trade Evolutions" button at the top is also self-explanatory
  6. - The "Gift Pokemon" button controls things like gift Pokemon, trade Pokemon, fossils, etc. If you want to randomize this, do it BEFORE the starter randomization below, otherwise this will overwrite the starters! Also make sure to hit "Save" when you're done!
  7. - If you want to randomize the starters, click the "Starter Pokemon" button. The randomization options are pretty paltry, but "Basic starter Pokemon" seems to ensure that you always get base forms with 2 evolutions
  8. - The "Static Encounters" button is very similar to the Gift Pokemon one, but it controls things like static legendaries or Voltorbs in the power plant. Like the Gift Pokemon menu, be sure to hit "Save" when you're done!
  9. - The "TMs/HMs" button is very easy to understand. Just make sure "Randomize HMs" is OFF unless you hate yourself.
  10. - The "Trainers" tab is very complicated, so take your time with it. You have to hit "Randomize All" to even open the randomization menu, which is a little confusing. If you want to do a similar thing to the Universal Randomizer where trainers get powered up, just supply a multiplier to "Multiply PKM Level by". Just like wild Pokemon, you can get "Similar Strength" by using "Randomize by BST". If you want trainer's Pokemon to use moves from their level up moveset, change "Moves" to be "Use Levelup Only". Lastly, there are a bunch of weird options like "Random After-Battle Gifts" that you probably don't want, so feel free to turn them off.
