  1. [Take Books] //tooltip: You might be able to find some use for these.
  2. You're not sure exactly where they'll end up, but you know for a fact that these books aren't doing anyone any good just rotting on these shelves.
  3.
  4. You collect the tomes as gently as possible, thankfully managing to get them into your [inv] without damaging any. The weight [if (str < 40) {is a bit much, but you'll make do|doesn't bother you [if (str < 70) {much|at all}]}] as you turn back to face the rest of the aging estate.
  5.
  6. [b:Key item gained: Old Manor Books!]
  7.
  8. //all buttons are [Give Books], tooltip: Pass on those books you found at the old manor.
  9.
  10.
  11. //Dolores
  12. This decision seems like a no-brainer; your daughter likes books, and you have books to give her. The little moth looks on with curiosity as you rummage around in your [inv], but she manages to conceal it fairly well up until the moment you actually present them.
  13.
  14. [saystart]What...[if (child) {[sayend] She lets the question drift off, but her confusion is quite evident| Are those... for me?[sayend]}] Her big violet eyes blink a few times, their gaze enraptured by the stack of dusty covers in front of her.
  15.
  16. You explain that you'd found these in the course of your travels, and that upon thinking it over, you couldn't come up with anyone in the world you'd want to have them more than her.
  17.
  18. [if (child) {She can only manage to mumble something that seems like a thanks, but the look in her eyes makes it clear enough how grateful she is|[say:Thank you, [Father],] she responds[if (hikkiquest) {. [say:It's truly... I do not know what I've done to deserve all this.] Whatever else you could say to that dissolves when you see a smile of pure bliss on her face. It suits her well.}] Four small hands wrap around the bottom book, and you [if (child) {end up needing to assist her in wrangling them over to her waiting desk|have a momentary flash of concern as the stack wobbles its way over to her desk}] before she eagerly dives into reading the first one she pulls from the pile.
  19.
  20. It seems like she's going to be quite occupied for some time, so you take your leave of her for now.
  21. //Should probably add a "just chat" or something for this
  22.
  23.
  24. //Circe, counts as a convo topic; not sure whether to put this under her main menu or as a talk
  25. You don't know precisely what Circe might be able to do with the help of these tomes, but she's a sorceress, so it stands to reason she would be interested in the knowledge therein. You pull one out as an example and proceed to explain their significance.
  26.
  27. The lounging lady in front of you betrays no more interest than an arched eyebrow, but the consideration she gives to your account makes it clear that you have her full attention.
  28.
  29. [say:Hmm... Well, if these texts were all once a necromancer's, then they could indeed contain some measure of arcane knowledge... but they could just as easily be his leisure reading. I'll need to check them over to see.] Her eyes wander around the room for a few moments as she taps her chin in consideration before suddenly snapping her focus back to you. [say:Yes. Leave them there]--she flicks a finger over to one corner of the cavern--[say:and I'll make sure they're properly accounted.]
  30. //go to rewards menu
  31.
  32.
  33. //Towercuck
  34. The library makes sense as a place that might want to preserve books like these, especially considering their apparent age, so you offer Quinn to take them in. The surly librarian's eyebrows rise, though the look on his face indicates he's still a bit suspicious.
  35.
  36. [say:Oh? Really? One of [if (furfag) {you people|the citizenry}] wants to [i:add] to my collection for once instead of destroying it? What a miracle.]
  37.
  38. Despite the sarcasm, it's clear he does still want them, though after a response like that, you'd like to hear him say it.
  39.
  40. [say:Hmm... I suppose... thank you? It sounds almost odd coming out of my mouth,] he adds, only slightly less dryly than usual. [say:If you'll leave them on that desk there, I'll begin cataloguing the collection. Given their age, I'll need to go retrieve some tools for their proper preservation, so if you don't mind...]
  41.
  42. He leaves the sentence hanging as he slips off into a back room of the library, leaving you alone in these quiet halls. You unload the books onto the table he indicated, giving them one final glance before you depart with the hope that they'll be worth something for somebody in their new life here.
  43.
  44.
  45. //Izma
  46. Your beta has amassed a reasonable collection of books since the end of the world, and as her gracious alpha, you think it'd be a nice gesture to help her expand it even further. You lead her over to her storage chest, finding that it's currently locked up tight, which she remedies at your prompting
  47.
  48. Standing over her collected belongings, Izma lets her eyes linger on the more risque items inside, and her orange stripes seeming to almost quiver with excitement. [say:What do you want with me, my Alpha?] she asks with a glimmer in her eye that suggests she has a preferred answer in mind. However, you pull out a book.
  49.
  50. She's confused for a few moments, but you explain to her that you found these in the course of your travels, and that you thought they'd suit her far better than a dusty shelf. [say:Huh. They don't look like my usual type, but looks can be deceiving. Thank you, my Alpha. I'll make sure to enjoy your gifts.] She flashes you a toothy grin. [say:Now, wouldn't you like to enjoy mine?]
  51.
  52. The way she wiggles her hips is quite insistent, if you're in the mood to indulge her desires.
  53. //Options to go to sex menu or back to camp
  54.
  55.
  56. //If you harass chronicler to write the library he's been stalling on longer than I have for the factory, maybe you could put them there too. And of course, if there's anyone else I've overlooked who should have an option, let me know.
  57.
