12 Hour Ralph

tldr I have 12 hours to learn a game from scratch and put up a time.
Bonus theme to run a game never ran at a GDQ.

So this is The Adventures of Little Ralph, an obscure, rare, and valuable JP only PS1 platformer.
There are two difficulties easy mode, which only goes through half the game, and the actual difficulty, which does all of it. Also, you die in one hit, and occasionally the game turns into street fighter. I will be doing the actual difficulty, natch.

These are the only resources on the game I have found. The RTA run doesn't seem very good (not to mention the "captain positivity" runner making the vod unwatchable) and the tas seems pretty reasonable to replicate, I will mostly be using the tas as a reference.
I've got an emulator ready to go, but as the game has level select, I think I'll give learning it entirely on console a shot. It's really inefficient to do that, but hey, might as well stretch the 12 hours out.
Either way the game is essentially hold right to win, so once I've got it down, it shouldn't be too much trouble for a god gamer such as myself.
The challenge itself is only to do "a" run, but we all know I'm better than that.
Shooting for the record time in under 12 hours, on console ofc, lets go.
